Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

We found this place after getting slow service at a sister restaurantn with the same menu about 20 minutes north. The service here is excellent, the food tasty, and served quickly. The burrito loco is a favorite as are the fajitas. It's not "gourmet" mexican, it's basic food, served up fresh and with a smile at a VERY reasonable price. We make this a lunch stop during work at least 2-3 times a month now.

Have always had decent service and food, but lately it's gone downhill. Waited forever for someone to take our drink order, got our fajitas and had to wait for the fixings. Will not go back.

Solid Mexican spot in an area with too few dining options. Friendly and lightning fast service. Chicken taco salad always sports a crisp shell and a generous wallop of guacamole.

This is by far our most favorite Mexican place. The service and food are outstanding! We will definitely return!

Always a good bet for good food. Always consistent and is one of my favorite mexican restaurants.

El Rodeo is a decent Mexican restaurant with very little to elevate it above the crowd of Mexican restaurants on the southwest side. The food is good, the service is good, but nothing special. I would urge anyone who wants a good burrito or tamale to go find somewhere more authentic (and maybe a little more of a dive). I will be back to El Rodeo, it's good food, but it's nowhere I'll recommend.

We went to El Rodeo not super hungry and just wanted to order Ala Carte items. We asked Oscar for an extra salsa. He said not until I finish the one that was on my table. WHAT!!! Who does that?? When we first got there he showed us to our seats, threw our menus on the table and walked away. Not courteous at all. I will NEVER go back. I told him his attitude was awful and he said well what do you expect you only order little food, got water for drinks and want extra salsa. I said well charge us extra for the salsa. He said I will!!! WE got up and walked out when our food arrived because he was very rigid and didn't deserve our money $$$. I said we won't be back and he said Please dont come again. I have never met a server that rude in my life!!!! I hope this place closes down because their service is terrible and I experienced slow service prior to this incident there. Oscar you suck!!

This is the run of the mill american mexican resturant. Food was good, served fast, and cheap. The wait staff was quick and friendly. The seating area was clean and the restrooms were clean. Nothing makes this place stand out, other than it is the only mexican resturant in the area. If you want a clean, good american mexican food place to eat at on the west side of indy, this place wont dissappoint.

One of my favorite places for Mexican food. The staff is really friendly, they will most likely remember you after you come in a few times. The place is pretty clean, and it can get really busy at times. At the cash register they have a bar of candies which is cute for the kiddies after dinner! The food is great - they have some of the best gaucamole I have had in a restraunt.. but beware - sometimes they will give you a bowl of guacamole which is around $4 if you ask for a small side of it. So make sure you really specify what you want. Other than that they are awesome - and they usually have tons of coupons in the papers and mailers. My favorite things are the Enchiladas Tipicas and the Burrito Loco which is huge. The portions they are quite generous, and the meals are usually around the $10-15 area.

Beef tips tacos for lunch are deliciously marinated and very tender. A steal for lunch. The chips were toasted just right and not greasy. Tangy and rich salsa. Beans and rice were typical.

The food is really great!!!! I had the Hot n Spicy Burrito. It was huge and delicious!! The Margaritas are very large and strong!! The interior is very nice and clean. Several TV's. Very relaxing. Extremely attentive waitstaff!!!

After reading great reviews, we were very much looking forward to dining here when business took us to this side of town. We were quite disappointed. The service was lacking, the food was average, and the price was....a little startling. Many better options for Mexican fare in Indy.

I give it two stars because it is a Mexican restaurant. I find no differences between these restaurants and I believe they get all of their food from the same sources. I recommend the veggie fajitas since they won't make you sick.

We have very few dining choices here in Decatur township, but even when we are on the road it's hard to find a mexican restaurant that stands up to this local spot. The staff is very friendly and the service is quick. We've never been disappointed here. My favorite are the Chicken Quesadilla Fajitas and my husband loves the nachos....Plus they make a great margarita.

Basic Mexican food, quick, cheap, tasty. There is nothing particularly stand out about this place, but the food is consistently good and the service is always prompt and attentive. It's one of the few decent Mexican restaurants in Decatur Township, so if you are out that way, it is a definite winner.

Largely unimpressed with this place. If u like Mexican food, it will do. However, if u LOVE Mexican food, as do I, this simply will not suffice.
