Told me 30 min for delivery. Called saying they were leaving 45 min later. Took them 15 min to deliver 10 blocks. When we got the pizza it was burnt and cold. They were some of the best pizza downtown several years ago.

This is a really good pizza. I live within sight so when I want to get some carryout while watching football it is a great choice. Their toppings are good, especially the spicy sausage, and the Datsa Pizza (their version of a supreme) is a really good value. The brush their crust with garlic butter, and I am of the opinion that garlic butter makes pretty much everything better. I love Bazbeaux, but when I'm in the mood for just a good traditional pizza, this is my first stop.

What an awesome pizza place. The pizza and wings are great. My brother and I and our kids have eaten here a couple of times and have yet to be disappointed. Looking forward to the next trip. The service is warm and awesome. Just a great place.

Can't get a better pie in Indy. Great flavor, excellent crust.

The street lights glint off the kaleidoscope road. The rain dapples. Steam freezes in the drear. Train rails ring through the winter night. Again, stranded with an empty kitchen after work. We pull over to a pay phone, scrounge for change, "Operatah, Amici's please." Ring... Ring... Ring... No answer. "Lady! GIve me a nickel or I'll crack yah skull!" "No, I don't have any marble rye to give yah, just give me a nickel!" "Come on Operatah, Datsa Pizza, please." "What's a pizza?" "Datsa pizza!" ... ... "Please insert another nickel to continue." We drive into the city of fog. Fog and steam are one. Hunger pangs. No bells ring and no birds bring us what we need. No pigeons to carry our message across Penn Street. Just past closing time, the open sign flickers -- the tug of hope that datsa open pizza place. The jangle of the door of the possibility that we wouldn't eat a pie tonight lingers. Cops cajole feelings out of one another in the corner. "It's up to the cook." ... The nod. In! Put the melodrama in the past-basket because it's on! One medium datsa pizza please! This down-home, local pizza shop isn't trying to win awards here -- they're here to serve pizza, and we're served. The toppings are ample. The crust was greasy sure, but rich. As last-minute ditch efforts go, this is the tops. I love hole-in-the-wall pizza shops. In New York, this place has a line out the door with New York style pie. In Indy, this place goes pretty unnoticed. Tucked into one of the finest blocks of Indy -- on Penn at St. Clair, below the Ambassador & The Library. As far as atmosphere goes, I love cop hang outs. If you see a cop, there's a good chance you'll see me. They usually post up at the small shops that are locally owned. And, they were at Datsa. Note: there are no more operators called from pay phones for pizza locations, there's Yelp -- and thank youuuuuu Yelp!

Tasty lunch options. Nice service. Cheap beer. Outdoor seating. Didn't like that they charge extra for feta but did like the breadsticks. A lot. Hoping to move into the neighborhood soon and become a regular.

Gotta say I was starving today and needed something me and my 13yr. old son could both find something to eat! Jimmy Johns told us 45min due to a convention:( I'm located downtown Indy at my thrift store. I used YELP to find something close and delivered. This place was on the list though they don't deliver. Went anyway because it's only a block or so from my store all I can say is BOOM!!!! EXCELLENT! Great sweet sausage pizza, had the spinach dip with bread!! Heaven!!! Also had the Chicago beef sand! Ate so much by belly hurts:D bahaha

This is the best pizza joint downtown. No, it's not Lou Malnati's or Sal & Carmine's, but it sure beats Bazfaux and Nopeolese.

Excellent pies and staff, we all should have a Datsa once in a while. Check out the lunch specials, pizza and sticks for a steal. Datsa, oh Datsa...how I crave your pie.

I'm on my bike on the way home from Central (you know, with the books), and I decided to hit up Datsa pizza. With a real local pizza joint feel, indoor/outdoor seating, and better than chain food, this place pretty much has it made. My only knock is the location, but it wouldn't be a local joint if it weren't a bit whole-in-the-wall esque. Go. Check it out, Try the made to order calzone.

Awesome little spot for some nice pies. We had the veggie Datsa, and it was a delight. The wait staff and cooks are super nice, and they were jamming some excellent tunes while we dined. Peroni bottles available to accompany your slice, check the "Good Beer" list.

Katie B.
My favorite downtown pizza place. The sauce is excellent and a little bit spicy. The crust is brushed with butter and garlic I think. The garlic cheese bread was what you'd expect. Busier at lunch and quieter for dinner but a nice little place and good, speedy service.
(4)
Seann D.
This is my favorite neighborhood pizza place in Indy. The pizza is top-notch and so is the service. Excellent bread sticks and the prices for everything are fair and cheap. The parking is in the back. Datsa is awesome!

Pretty much the best hole-in-the-wall pizza you can find downtown. The pizza is delicious! The guys that work there are always friendly and the owner is hilarious. Great food, good feel. Only bummer is they don't deliver!
(5)
Robert G.
Unique and special downtown Indy pizza. Far better than any downtown chain. If you dine in do not expect anything fancy in terms of atmosphere but the pizza makes up for it! Datsa Meat is a favorite (with a choice of regular or spicy sausage). Beer and wine available as well.

Thin crisp crust, tangy sauce with just the right amount of tomato sweetness to bring balance.Great sausage;both spicy and sweet and just the right amount of garlic butter. When you factor in the price you'll be saying Bazwho? They make a pie I could eat every day.You gotta' try it.

I wish we would have discovered this sooner. Pizza is excellent and breadsticks are pretty good too. I like that they sprinkle herbs and cheese on the pizza after it's been baked. Really good flavors and nice medium-thin crust. We'll definitely order from Datsa again!

This totally unpretentious pizzeteria is just a skip away from the central library and mere blocks from my house.... Why has it taken me so long to stop by, Datsa Pizza!? You're cheap, you're laid back, your pies aren't nearly as greasy as I thought they'd be. I love the outdoor seating facing Pennsylvania and the gorgy Ambassador building (as well as my beloved library!). The only bummer was we were subjected to the loud stylings of the fairly lame band playing at Urban Element next door. My dining companion joked, though, that we were getting "square plate entertainment at round plate prices"! We had the garden veggie pizza and added green olives--salty goodness! Honestly they may have slightly less variety of toppings, but I think the quality rivals the overrated Bazbeaux. And you can't go wrong for the price. I'm going to go ahead give Datsa 4 stars because it exceeded my expectations, has a funny name and totally delivers on your basic, solid pizza experience.

Rosey F.
One of my fave lunch pizza places. You get beer and pizza for a fairly cheap price ($8 for a drink, salad, and pizza... beer extra). The individual pizzas are a good size, perfect for lunch. You get a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Quick and attentive service. One of the hidden gems in the city.

Stopped here on the advice of yelp reviews on a trip home from Ohio. Much smaller than I thought it would be. Not a problem, But only maybe 9 tables. Our party ordered the chicken ranch sub, chicken Caesar salad, breadsticks and a "meaty meat" pizza. Breadsticks and salads were good tasting and seemed fresh. The pizza was just ok for me. I understand it's a meat lovers type pizza but it was just too greasy for my liking. Even under the crust when you picked up a slice. Flavor was decent. And our server was nice and prompt(Maybe the owner). No complaints there. Think next time go with a veggie style pizza. I would recommend to friends. ......

I used to live at the Plaza, thus I think it's safe to say that I ate datsa quite a few times. The owners and staff are always very nice ad accommodating ad I always enjoyed dining in when I had time. The pizza is good, but they lose a star from me because I honestly think it's a little over priced for the quality. The breadsticks are really good and I definitely recommend the meatball sub! I still plan on coming here because I like to support the underdog pizza places in Indy...

Great Pizza and garlic bread.

Taylor J.
Datsa disappointment. Asked for jalapeño cheese sauce, received a halfway full container of nacho cheese sauce that was room temperature. Dried out overdone pizza crust lacking a substantial amount of sauce and toppings (veggie pizza). After drowning my pizza in the runny "garlic" butter I managed to muster up some flavor other than black olives. The "delicious" breadsticks were also dry as a bone and inedible without sauce. The meal cost $23, we were looking for a local joint but found that we should stick with dominos or papa johns who will deliver us a hot pizza for half the delivery charge.

Admittedly, I am a bit of snob having been reared on NY Pizza and also sampled the pies in New Haven, CT, and Chicago. But I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the pizza I ate while on my most recent business trip. First off, with a name like Datsa Pizza, the namesake dish better be good otherwise word of mouth will quickly detract from the catchy moniker. Just walking up to the establishment, the scent of freshly baking pizza dough and the unmistakable scent of pepperoni and other deli meats permeate the air. The restaurant itself has a very kitschy design with art from local artists hanging on the wall for purchase, which frame the otherwise shoe-box sized dining room. It's pretty difficult to get a table during lunchtime, so I'd recommend getting there no later than 11:30am, otherwise it'll be pizza to-go. I especially like how the main window provides a view of the pizza maker tossing the dough into the air and she expertly stretches and works the ingredients into fabulous pizza. As for the pies, in a word, "DELICIOUS". The crust is crispy without being too oily and it passes the all important "fold test". Again, I grew up eating pizza the "New Yawk" way which is the only way in my opinion - which is to say the proper way to eat a slice is to fold the pizza with every bite. I ordered the lunch special which is an 8 inch pie with pepperoni, sausage, and a bunch of vegetables. Add either a salad or bread sticks and a drink for $10 and that's a heck of a lunch deal. The tomato sauce was tangy without being too sweet, there was a proper proportion of cheese to toppings and everything was melted fabulously. Looking for excellent pizza in downtown Indy...look no further than Datsa Pizza!

It's a shame this place has consistently given me mediocre service because their pizza is, by far, my favorite in Indianapolis. Each time I come here, I hope the service changes but it never does. Last time I came in, the only employee was on the phone. She remained on the phone for the next 2 minutes and it was clear it was a personal phone call. Okay, I get it. You're slow. It's snowy. Sure, be on the phone. But when you're training a teenager for this summer, perhaps teaching her to acknowledge the guests, at all, would be a nice start. Datsa, I give you three stars because your pizza is stellar. However, I really wish some of the employees would at least act like they wanted to be there. For such a good pizza reputation, you sure make it hard to want to go back. I don't think I'll return for an in-house experience.

Pizza is a little pricey but good, service is inattentive. I arrived for lunch around 1 pm, seated myself, and waited a while to be acknowledged by a server who eventually asked what I wanted without greeting me or offering a menu to me. After asking for a menu and looking it over, I placed my order. The pizza came out shortly after I ordered but I had to ask for a plate, napkins, and silverware so I could eat it. My drink needed refilled about halfway through my meal but the workers were busy talking about current events instead of checking in on me, the only customer now in the restaurant. The server eventually brought my check, saw my empty drink glass, and said nothing. I then asked her for a refill even though I needed the refill long before. She returned with a 2/3 full glass of Sierra Mist. While I have had attentive service here in the past, that has been a rarity. Today typified the typical service experience at Datsa and the reason my family and I rarely make a return visit.

Despite living nearby, I had never been to Datsa because it seemed like they were never open when I was home. I read, however, that they now offered delivery so we decided to give it a shot. Datsa uses a service called Order Up Indy for delivery; you place the order through their site (link is on Datsa's website). After reading Yelp reviews, we each decided to get a calzone (each with up to 5 toppings) and a dozen wings. The delivery driver called me from Datsa, apologetic, and said they were running late because an employee didn't show, so the manager was just starting our food (this was only maybe 20 minutes after we ordered). The food arrived hot and well packaged (even included plastic silverware). The calzones were HUGE. I ate 3 wings and about 1/3 of my calzone and tapped out. Now that Datsa is open for dinner on the weekends, we'll definitely head over to hang out on the deck.

Love, love, love this place. I think that local "hole in the wall" places have the best food on the planet. They offer a little something for everyone. Salads, pizza (duh), calzone, & hot sandwiches. They do have lunch and dinner specials on the back of the menu. Sometimes the service can be a little slow as there is on server and one cook, but that only happens during busy times. I'm so sad to see that they now offer delivery and online ordering. They didn't have that back when I lived 5 blocks away. :( Normally I get a calzone as I tend to come here with picky eaters that don't like what I like. You get 5 reg toppings for $8.99 in the calzone. You can also get any of their pizzas in individual size for $10.75. Their garlic cheese bread is a must!!

Wow... Bread sticks, amazing... Pizza... I don't want to leave!!! Wonderful place, worth visiting for sure, and family friendly. Great for lunch or dinner for everyone. And EVERYTHING is made fresh to order.... Kudos to this establishment for sure

They don't need great service because their product is top-notch. The pizza is delicious, but the calzones are perfection. I love that you can watch as they roll the dough and create a cheesy, heavenly masterpiece with flawlessly golden crust. This little pizza joint is my favorite neighbor ever. Hands down, Datsa is the best and most original pizza joint in Indy.

It's probably not fair that my review that shows up for this place is the one that complains about my issues with them getting my order wrong, so I'm writing one more. (They should feel honored; I think they're the first place I've actually done three reviews for.) This really is one of the best pizzas in Indianapolis. There are certain chains that get all the attention (Bazbeaux, for instance), but often-times it's the holes-in-the-wall that have the best stuff. And that's the case with these guys. Their pizzas ARE top-notch. I should emphasize that. I used to just think, meh, pizza is pizza, let me call up Domino's and have them drop me off a pie. But Datsa is not just a pizza, it's an EXPERIENCE. It's ironic because I actually got a year's free subscription to the service that lets you order Domino's without being charged delivery fees. But now that Datsa is so near me, I suddenly don't WANT Domino's anymore! It should be noted that they've changed their delivery service; they now deliver via OrderUp.com , for a delivery fee that amounts to about $4.50 altogether. This is more expensive than their prior option, but on the other hand it's not limited to just a couple hours of the evening like their prior option was, either. Another thing I like about them is that they'll always let you know when you call in to order for carry-out how long it looks like it will be before they have your pizza ready. This is really helpful, because it lets you plan for when you need to leave so you're not stuck waiting around for it to be ready. Good God, people! Do you like pizza? GOOD pizza? Do you maybe not mind paying a little more than Domino's for top-notch quality stuff? Then the decision should be simple! You want a good pizza? You want a Datsa Pizza.

Tried this place for the first time last night and the pizza was really good!! Got BBQ Chicken. Only negative was that very little chicken was actually on the pizza. The garlic butter brushed crust and spices they added were excellent as well as cooking the pizza a little longer for a "well done" pizza. Add more chicken for 5 stars. Kudos to our waiter Bradley for good service! I will be back for sure.
(4)
Josh G.
Their ingredients are fresh and service is efficient without skipping on quality. I searched far and wide for good pizza in the area since moving here and Dasta was the first of several attempts to actually exceed my (pompously high) expectations for pizza. ONLY drawback is not accepting Amex, but, I think most Amex users are accustomed to having a backup. Overall, I highly recommend.
(5)
Mark B.
Well it says they deliver but they do not, so...I never had the chance to experience their delights. :( Update i month later The owner said that Yelp indicated they deliver but they (Datsa) has no control over that. I note now that it says No to deliver so I guess it got fixed. My bad fortune given that I live in CA Ill probably not ever have a chance to taste their delights. :(

Ok, so it's not a frilly place. It's not fancy. It's not "artisinal." But here's the thing; Datsa Pizza quickly became one of my favorite pizza places in Indy because they do everything well and the food is delicious! There's nothing wrong if you want chorizo or some specialty cheese, but that's not what this place is about. It's about great food, great service, and quality. If that sounds good to you, I *highly* recommend it.

Well, look at you, you smart person, considering the best pizza in the city. There's no pretension here, just good pizza and fountain sodas. And really awesome people.

Don't order subs here. They'll take even longer than pizzas. And pizzas took almost an hour to get at lunch time. Beef Sub came bland. Without any veggies or condiments. Will not be back anytime soon.
(2)

Once you get past that their $3.50 lunch salad is similar in volume to the toppings on a Wendy's single burger, seriously it's laughable.... well, the pizza is always amazing. Just don't order the salad.

Peter P.
Total hole in the wall pizza joint across the street from the library. Very small inside, but don't let that deter you. The food here is very good. Pizzas and calzones are made fresh to order and the wings are a real gem. They do mostly takeout business in the colder months, but when the weather heats up, patrons flock to the small wooden deck in front.

I moved downtown a few months ago, and I was very excited to see that there was a pizza place close by! In the short amount of time I have lived here, I have already been to Datsa several times because I enjoy it so much. I have tried a few different kinds of pizza including the sausage and pepperoni and the veggie. Both were delicious, and I would suggest either of them to anyone. In addition to the pizza, I also like to order the garlic buttered breadsticks with cheese. Be careful with the breadsticks, though! They are awfully filling and may not leave too much room for the tasty pizza! The buffalo wings are a good price, but they are just okay. Besides the amazing pizza, though, I love the atmosphere. It's a small, quiet location, and it's very relaxing to go to with whatever company you choose. I believe there are only a few different people who work here, but everyone I have met has been very welcoming and friendly. I always look forward to going back. If you are in the downtown area and in the mood for pizza, Datsa will not disappoint you!

Not too bad. A little expensive especially when they add tax, delivery fee and a tip. I ordered 12 wings and a large cheese pizza. The wings were a little slimey and the were a little skimpy on the cheese. I would order pizza from here again but not the wings. Overall it was decent but nothing to brag about.

The first time I went here was probably the worst service I'd ever had in Indy! However, they explained the problem (internet affecting cash register, etc) and I've been a server before so I know a stressed out staff when I see one. Not their fault, plus, the pizza was so good I had to forgive them. I've been back a couple times since then and it's always been good service, fast, and great pizza. I get the pineapple and bacon, perfect combo, and they even have a few outside dining tables which is needed because the inside is tiny.
(4)
Timothy W.
I eat here 2-4 times a week. They have the best pizza in the city. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Off street parking, generally not too busy, and local artists' work adorns the walls. Sandwiches and Calzones are solid choices as well as the Greek salad. Support your locally owned businesses!

The pizza was delicious and the customer service was extra considerate. I went with the BBQ chicken and it was perfect; just a well-executed pizza. The food took little time to come out and the restaurant has a comfortable, personal, tucked away, neighborhood atmosphere to it. It's a great place to have good food and conversation in downtown Indy. I will be coming back to DP very often.

I've been to this place about 5-6 times as its not too far from where I live. It's a small independent shop across the street from the marion county library. The pizza is pretty good, but not very consistent (75% of my visits were 3 stars, while about 25% of the time I'd say it was a 4 star experience). I usually get the pepperoni thin crust - don't think they offer other styles. On a few occasions the crust was really solid, but a few times slightly under cooked. What I do enjoy about their pizza is the spice blend they put on top, giving it a nice savory flavor. The service has always been good and the prices are very reasonable. I haven't tried either the sandwiches or calzones, so I may give them a shot in the near future. I feel like if my experiences were a little more consistent, then I'd give them 4 stars. I do plan on returning in the future and would recommend this place to people who like trying new places.

Thanks to Yelp in the past few months I've been trying to explore restaurants that I've not been to (I know, I'm bad - I tend to stick to my regular restaurants (so much so that the restaurant staff knows me when I walk in the door!!)) and Datsa Pizza is one of those places that I've never checked out. I'm in the downtown Indianapolis area and use Android Yelp and see a pizza place on Pennsylvania in front of Central Library (the old Abbey location?? - well not at that location but just down the street from the now empty Abbey building)). What a great place for lunch and dinner. I was fortunate enough to go during the late lunch period since the place is small(ish) and I can imagine it would be full during prime workday lunch time. Terrific breadsticks and the veggie pizza was excellent. I wonder if this is one of those small restaurants where everyone who works there is related/friends with the owners - everyone seemed very nice and water refills kept coming.

We stopped in on our way home from The Athenaeum at the recommendation of a friend. It was a cozy establishment with so many great menu offerings; from subs to salads, pasta, calzones & specialty pizzas. Wine and a variety of domestic & import beer is also available. They also feature a deck in front if you prefer outside dining/ We ordered the garlic bread with cheese & salad to start, along with an order of spaghetti & meatballs, a 16" Datsa Luau & the 10" Datsa cheese pizza for our main course. The hawaiian pizza was the perfect blend of ham, pineapple, green peppers & red onions, I was glad we chose it. Don't leave without one of their homemade cookies. The peanut butter was mmmmm good. We'll definitely visit again!

Bill J.
No fancy pants decor here, just really good pizza. Perfectly baked and just the right amount of toppings. The taste sort of reminds me of Adriatico's, maybe because both places brush their crusts with garlic butter. Definitely try this place at least once if you haven't already. I'm definitely going back soon.

Pizza is so subjective. One person can say "this is hands down the best pizza ever", and the next person could say "the thought of having that pizza again makes me want to give up Italian food altogether." SO, I'll list my "Perfect Pizza" qualifications, that way, you can agree, or agree to disagree: -Tons of cheese = check! -Minimal to average amount of tomato sauce = check! -Thin-but-not-crispy crust = check! -Visibly buttery brown crust = check! -Red, not white, onions = check! Datsa Pizza meets ALL items on my quality-check list. I've only eaten there during lunch, because I work downtown, and they have a very affordable lunch special. Their staff is remarkably friendly, and they keep cool-headed when the heat is on during a high-noon lunch rush. The only reason they don't get 5 stars from me, is they still haven't figured out a way to keep organized after all these years, and lunches frequently go long because they've forgotten our order, or take too long to cash us out. It's not because they don't CARE; because they do care, a great deal (if you go in twice, they'll remember you forever!) - it's just that they haven't found an organized way to manage the lunch rush. So to be fair, this is really a 4.5 star review. Or even a 4.75.

Good, polite service. Website menu is way out of date. Had 2 different calzones- ingredients were pretty good! The bread was also pretty delicious- however, one of them was not completed baked/cooked and the dough was chewy and sticky in some parts. Unfortunately that was a bit of a deal-breaker.

Pizza was OK. We arrived on a Saturday evening and the place was barren - what's up with that?? I thought from all the great reviews here this place would be packed. Anyway, this might be the best pizza in Indy, but coming from Chicago, I'll say that it was just decent. Nice quiet place to sit and enjoy pizza, but no big deal.

The pizza is oh so good, house made sausage is my fav! Server is always the same and she is a bit off at times, but overall, delicious! There is an old saying in the restaurant business that the server can save the food but the food can not save the server, not true here! If I could just pick up my pie and get my drink myself, it often times would be better.

Once you get past that their $3.50 lunch salad is similar in volume to the toppings on a Wendy's single burger, seriously it's laughable.... well, the pizza is always amazing. Just don't order the salad.

I would recommend to friends. ......

But Datsa is not just a pizza, it's an EXPERIENCE. It's ironic because I actually got a year's free subscription to the service that lets you order Domino's without being charged delivery fees. But now that Datsa is so near me, I suddenly don't WANT Domino's anymore!

Don't order subs here. They'll take even longer than pizzas. And pizzas took almost an hour to get at lunch time. Beef Sub came bland. Without any veggies or condiments. Will not be back anytime soon.

Not very good. The crust was thin and real chewy.we got a supreme .the veggies were thin and scarce. Also there was hardly any sauce.very disappointed

I love Datsa Pizza! Every thing and I mean every thing on their menu is tasty! Make sure to have the cheesy garlic bread!

The people are fun and cool as hell!! I will definitely make this a spot to get a pie or two!!

One of my favorite pizza places in Indianapolis. The lunch special can't be beat and the Datsa Meat pizza with sweet sausage is delicious every time!

(4)
Oleg K.
Don't order subs here. They'll take even longer than pizzas. And pizzas took almost an hour to get at lunch time. Beef Sub came bland. Without any veggies or condiments. Will not be back anytime soon.
(2)
Aaron L.
Once you get past that their $3.50 lunch salad is similar in volume to the toppings on a Wendy's single burger, seriously it's laughable.... well, the pizza is always amazing. Just don't order the salad.
(3)
Nick S.
I would recommend to friends. ......

Unique and special downtown Indy pizza. Far better than any downtown chain. If you dine in do not expect anything fancy in terms of atmosphere but the pizza makes up for it! Datsa Meat is a favorite (with a choice of regular or spicy sausage). Beer and wine available as well.

One of my fave lunch pizza places. You get beer and pizza for a fairly cheap price ($8 for a drink, salad, and pizza... beer extra). The individual pizzas are a good size, perfect for lunch.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Excellent pies and staff, we all should have a Datsa once in a while. Check out the lunch specials, pizza and sticks for a steal. Datsa, oh Datsa...how I crave your pie.
(5)Daniel L.
(4)Christopher B.
Awesome little spot for some nice pies. We had the veggie Datsa, and it was a delight. The wait staff and cooks are super nice, and they were jamming some excellent tunes while we dined. Peroni bottles available to accompany your slice, check the "Good Beer" list.
(4)Katie B.
My favorite downtown pizza place. The sauce is excellent and a little bit spicy. The crust is brushed with butter and garlic I think. The garlic cheese bread was what you'd expect. Busier at lunch and quieter for dinner but a nice little place and good, speedy service.
(4)Seann D.
This is my favorite neighborhood pizza place in Indy. The pizza is top-notch and so is the service. Excellent bread sticks and the prices for everything are fair and cheap. The parking is in the back. Datsa is awesome!
(5)Sara H.
Pretty much the best hole-in-the-wall pizza you can find downtown. The pizza is delicious! The guys that work there are always friendly and the owner is hilarious. Great food, good feel. Only bummer is they don't deliver!
(5)Robert G.
Unique and special downtown Indy pizza. Far better than any downtown chain. If you dine in do not expect anything fancy in terms of atmosphere but the pizza makes up for it! Datsa Meat is a favorite (with a choice of regular or spicy sausage). Beer and wine available as well.
(5)Michael H.
Best Italian sausage pizza I've had in Indy. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Will return soon!
(5)Benson S.
(5)Ray E.
Excellent pie - great balance- superb ingredients-- baked to perfection. Worthy of many return visits.
(5)Lora C.
I wish we would have discovered this sooner. Pizza is excellent and breadsticks are pretty good too. I like that they sprinkle herbs and cheese on the pizza after it's been baked. Really good flavors and nice medium-thin crust. We'll definitely order from Datsa again!
(4)Emily U.
(4)Rosey F.
(4)Nick S.
I would recommend to friends. ......
(3)Dave F.
Great pizza. Horrendous service.
(1)Hunter U.
(4)Qin Z.
Great Pizza and garlic bread.
(4)Taylor J.
(1)Jason T.
I'm so glad I stumbled upon this place, the food was excellent! If you are on your way to the Pacers game or Colts game or something you should stop by here and give them a try. #yumness
(4)Cary C.
Very good hand topped pizza, wings, and drinks. Very cozy digs. Worth lunch stop over. Quick food....

(4)David P.
I just moved here and heard this place was a classic in Indy... but overall this was a disappointment. A better, homier version of Domino's
(2)Jessica W.
(3)Dan J.
(2)Catherine K.
(4)Joel F.
(5)Kenneth F.
Wow... Bread sticks, amazing... Pizza... I don't want to leave!!! Wonderful place, worth visiting for sure, and family friendly. Great for lunch or dinner for everyone. And EVERYTHING is made fresh to order.... Kudos to this establishment for sure
(5)Emily D.
(5)Carmen G.
I love Datsa. The pizza is very good. It is one of my favorites
(5)Chris M.
(4)Christina N.
(4)Josh G.
(5)Mark B.
(1)Bijoy S.
(4)Karissa H.
Well, look at you, you smart person, considering the best pizza in the city. There's no pretension here, just good pizza and fountain sodas. And really awesome people.
(5)Oleg K.
Don't order subs here. They'll take even longer than pizzas. And pizzas took almost an hour to get at lunch time. Beef Sub came bland. Without any veggies or condiments. Will not be back anytime soon.
(2)Aaron L.
Once you get past that their $3.50 lunch salad is similar in volume to the toppings on a Wendy's single burger, seriously it's laughable.... well, the pizza is always amazing. Just don't order the salad.
(3)Peter P.
(3)Katie B.
(5)Tom C.
Not very good. The crust was thin and real chewy.we got a supreme .the veggies were thin and scarce. Also there was hardly any sauce.very disappointed
(2)Randy B.
I love Datsa Pizza! Every thing and I mean every thing on their menu is tasty! Make sure to have the cheesy garlic bread!
(5)Chris H.
(3)Indy P.
(4)Timothy W.
(5)John K.
The people are fun and cool as hell!! I will definitely make this a spot to get a pie or two!!
(4)Eric N.
(5)Mark R.
(3)Jim B.
(4)Jennifer S.
(4)Bill J.
(4)Rebecca M.
(4)Jacqueline I.
(3)Rob B.
One of my favorite pizza places in Indianapolis. The lunch special can't be beat and the Datsa Meat pizza with sweet sausage is delicious every time!
(5)Jose C.
(3)Anna P.
(4)Laura P.

I would recommend to friends. ......

Great pizza. Horrendous service.

Very good hand topped pizza, wings, and drinks. Very cozy digs. Worth lunch stop over. Quick food....

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this place, the food was excellent! If you are on your way to the Pacers game or Colts game or something you should stop by here and give them a try. #yumness

(3)Emily D.
(5)Carmen G.
I love Datsa. The pizza is very good. It is one of my favorites

(5)Kenneth F.
Wow... Bread sticks, amazing... Pizza... I don't want to leave!!! Wonderful place, worth visiting for sure, and family friendly. Great for lunch or dinner for everyone. And EVERYTHING is made fresh to order.... Kudos to this establishment for sure
(5)Christina N.
(4)Mark R.

(4)Bill J.
(4)Jose C.
(3)Rebecca M.
(4)Jacqueline I.
(3)Rob B.
One of my favorite pizza places in Indianapolis. The lunch special can't be beat and the Datsa Meat pizza with sweet sausage is delicious every time!
(5)Jon A.
(4)Mak J.
Tasty lunch options. Nice service. Cheap beer. Outdoor seating. Didn't like that they charge extra for feta but did like the breadsticks. A lot. Hoping to move into the neighborhood soon and become a regular.

(4)Oleg K.
Don't order subs here. They'll take even longer than pizzas. And pizzas took almost an hour to get at lunch time. Beef Sub came bland. Without any veggies or condiments. Will not be back anytime soon.
(2)Anna P.
(4)Laura P.
Best pizza in Indy!!
(5)Mark P.
Told me 30 min for delivery. Called saying they were leaving 45 min later. Took them 15 min to deliver 10 blocks. When we got the pizza it was burnt and cold. They were some of the best pizza downtown several years ago.
(2)Daniel L.

(4)David P.
I just moved here and heard this place was a classic in Indy... but overall this was a disappointment. A better, homier version of Domino's

(2)Catherine K.

(5)Chris H.
(3)Bijoy S.
(4)Karissa H.
Well, look at you, you smart person, considering the best pizza in the city. There's no pretension here, just good pizza and fountain sodas. And really awesome people.
(5)Indy P.
(4)Qin Z.
Great Pizza and garlic bread.

(5)Mark B.
(1)Timothy W.
(5)John K.
The people are fun and cool as hell!! I will definitely make this a spot to get a pie or two!!
(4)Eric N.

(5)Tim L.
Enjoyable? Yes. Lasting impression? Not particularly. Great restaurant name though.
(3)James S.
This is the best pizza joint downtown. No, it's not Lou Malnati's or Sal & Carmine's, but it sure beats Bazfaux and Nopeolese.
(4)Matt U.
Excellent pies and staff, we all should have a Datsa once in a while. Check out the lunch specials, pizza and sticks for a steal. Datsa, oh Datsa...how I crave your pie.
(5)Andrew D.
(5)David E.
pizza is good not great. service is good not great, but better pie than most other places in Indy. simple and overall a good time and experience
(4)Jacqueline I.
(3)Rob B.
One of my favorite pizza places in Indianapolis. The lunch special can't be beat and the Datsa Meat pizza with sweet sausage is delicious every time!
(5)Jose C.
(3)LaMont K.
What an awesome pizza place. The pizza and wings are great. My brother and I and our kids have eaten here a couple of times and have yet to be disappointed. Looking forward to the next trip. The service is warm and awesome. Just a great place.
(5)Andrew H.
Can't get a better pie in Indy. Great flavor, excellent crust.
(5)Peter P.
(3)John K.
The people are fun and cool as hell!! I will definitely make this a spot to get a pie or two!!
(4)Eric N.
(5)Timothy W.
(5)Hunter U.
(4)Oleg K.
(3)Nick S.
I would recommend to friends. ......
(3)Sara H.
(4)Emily U.
(4)Rosey F.

(4)Laura P.
Best pizza in Indy!!
(5)Mark P.
Told me 30 min for delivery. Called saying they were leaving 45 min later. Took them 15 min to deliver 10 blocks. When we got the pizza it was burnt and cold. They were some of the best pizza downtown several years ago.

(5)Sara H.
