The best soup I have ever had, and there is always something new and original. The salads and sandwiches are phenomenal as well. Roger is a great guy and treats his customers right. I arrived at the City Market a little late on Monday, but he still made sandwiches for me and my friend. This is without a doubt one of the best spots in the Market. Everything is delicious. Everything. Eat here, but preferably before they close for the day.

Amazing. I had my first ever serving of Ghoulash and Spaetzle, it was delicious. The ghoulash was rich and flavorful and the spaetzle was the perfect texture against the ghoulash. , I had to refrain from licking the bowl. Please please continue this menu item as long as possible, everyone deserves a chance to eat this amazing stuff!!

You will Love the new sandwiches! Ask for daily specials! I love the po'boy. Tell them Brenda set you!!

I like soup, but I love Circle City Soups soups, if that makes sense. Everything is phenomenal; soups, salads, and sandwiches. The black bean soup was my most recent and it was delicious. I was a little apprehensive with the first bite b/c I could taste fennel and I am generally not a fan. But it worked perfectly. Toss some pieces of cornbread in it and I was in heaven. Hawaiian pulled pork sandwich was scrumptious, so good, I didn't put it down. They are located next to Circle City Sweets, which is deliciously dangerous. One of my favorite lunches; awesome soup and sandwich followed up with a raspberry or pistachio macaroon.

I claimed an addiction to their Vietnamese noodle wrap, even though all the pasta in it did nothing good for me... I'm happy to say that the noodle wrap received a makeover for the New Year, and its just as delicious! (although I did prefer the field greens to the greens I receive today)...noodle wrap now made with rice noodles (whoot!) While I can longer save the 'other half' for later, I'm certainly glad its healthier for me. While I'm at it - the soups are always amazing, even the brussel sprouts soup. Just try it... Salads are delicious as well... This is my go-to place at the market! They have also catered for our office in the past, and we everyone RAVED...
(5)Benjamin H.
Seriously, this might be the best soup I've ever had. Roger has let me sample quite a few since I started bartending at the Tomlinson Tap Room and every time I've been completely stunned by the taste and quality. The build-out isn't quite done for the booth, but you can still get soup through the Circle City Sweets spot. Make sure to get their early as he sells out quickly.. This place is not to be missed.
(5)Jamison H.
First of all, I need to drop a plug for Yelp Indy and the advantages of small businesses sponsoring rad events....like Shakespeare at the Yelp. I had heard great things about Roger's soups, but I failed to try them...until it was free at the event. I had the Bayou Black Bean...and was hooked. Since then I have achieved Dukedom at CCS and intend to hold on to that title until I depart this fine planet...after which I hope to be eating Roger's black bean soups (poblano and bayou)and noodle wraps for the rest of eternity.

Circle City Soups is one of my favorite spots in the City Market. I've loved everything I've tried, and it's always fun to find out what's on the menu for the day. Roger, the owner, is always passionate about the food he prepares. For some reason, a conversation with him before trying the food always makes the meal better: his careful detail to the blending of flavors and spices becomes more noticeable and I can't help but appreciate his food even more after learning how he made the dish I'm sampling. The only negative thing about Circle City Soups is that it's next door to Circe City Sweets. I can't walk past Circle City Sweets without buying something. DANGEROUS!! :-)
(5)Chris M.
This is one of my go to places in the market, especially when I don't want to eat the equivalent of a whole cow. The soups and sandwiches have all been good. I really enjoyed the chicken salad sandwich I had awhile back. Go here for a fresh and awesome lunch experience. I wish they had fountain drinks though...
(4)Jenn B.
Love Rodger and his team - my favorite thing to do is get a half soup half sandwich! His flavors are always an amazing blend of perfection. If you're in the City Market and you can't decide where to eat - Circle City Soups never fails to be fantastic!
(5)Marie K.
I have to give some love to my favorites at Circle City Soups--Dad's Corn Chowder, the Butternut Squash soup, the Noodle Wrap and the Chinese Chicken salad. Lunch has become the high point of my work day, because I know I will get to head over to Circle City Soups, where Rodger and his crew will greet me with smiles and enthusiasm about the food they are preparing, while happily answering my "20 questions" about how the food is prepared, the subtleties in seasoning and giving me advice on my own meal prep, for dinners at home. I just had my first meatloaf sandwich and I guarantee it won't be the last. Do yourself a favor and go to Circle City Soups for lunch and tell them that Marie sent you....

Circle City Soups is a relatively new addition to the City Market and most definitely a welcome one. Despite the name, I did not indulge in the soup. Instead I had the sage aioli chicken salad sandwich on housemade foccacia bread. It was absolutely delicious! One of those sandwiches that you find yourself thinking about days later. The owner, Roger Hawkins, apologized that the sandwich was so large. Flattered that he thought I would prefer a dainty sandwich, I was of course immediately smittened. My friend had the noodle wrap and said that it was also delicious. Others in line raved about the soups. Circle City Soups is open for lunch and is one of several shops in the Market that is trying out evening hours. By the way, Roger's wife Cindy owns Circle City Sweets, which is conveniently located right next door, in the Market. It's worth a visit too.
(5)Zach W.
Another City Market treat. CCS features a rotating menu of soups in addition to a few salads, sandwiches, and wraps (though I believe they may have just added wings to the menu as well). The food is healthy, delicious and not a bad price either. I wish the menu were a bit more extensive because there are days where, if the soups don't wow you, you may not see enough to your liking to make it a viable lunch. However, when something does catch my eye there I know I'm guaranteed to enjoy it. PS: the cornbread is almost pound cake. This could be to your liking but it didn't do anything for me.
(4)Aninda S.
Awesome Food - one of the best in city market. I have been glossing this corner shop over for far too long. So I thought I will give it a chance as I rotate through the options. My first visit I tried the bayou pulled pork sandwich $8 for a pretty big sandwich. It tasted absolutely delicious and had loads literally loads of pulled pork stuffed In the bread roll. I liked it and returned. And boy o boy I ordered their fried egg BLT sandwich and half order of pomme frites and sriracha aioli. It was absolutely awesome esp the huge croissant. And they don't put actual tomato but a tomato extract. This makes it less soggy. I absolutely loved it. Lastly the $1 off for yelp checkin makes me come back again and again.
(4)Tracy A.
Is the soup, dare I say it, perfection? Yes, I dare say it! The Dad's Corn Chowder was a creamy, velvety taste sensation paired with an accent of even more corn via a small sidekick of cornbread. It's what corn in Indiana is all about! Love this lunch spot in the City Market!
(5)Amie L.
I'm making a point to hit City Market more often....starting NOW! I had the 1/2 chipolte chicken salad with the1/2 beer cheese soup. ($6) Both were good, although I thought the chicken salad was a little dry. The flavors were also pretty subtle. I would have liked to taste more of the spice in the chipolte. The beer soup was delicious. It was served with a slice of corn bread, which was a little sweet and very moist. This was my first time eating at CCS's. I will definitely give it another try though. The BLT special that others speak of sounds delish.
(4)Stephanie D.
I've had their items in the past and never realized I hadn't written a review!! Shame on me. Well anyway, here I am now writing a review about a City Market favorite. This is a great spot to eat lunch during the week. The food is fresh, delicious and always interesting. One of my favorites is the chorizo sausage and gravy..yum! A little spice in your life never hurt anyone. It's simple but they do it well and I enjoy it. I also like the variety of sandwiches that change on a daily basis. They always seem to keep me coming back for more!!!
(4)Raechel H.
How can I put this delicately? I've never wanted anything in my mouth more than Circle City Soups. Each bite is an assault on your taste buds that creates an uncontrollable urge to shovel every explicit spoonful into your face. Every soup is handmade to perfection, and each day is something different. One day, forgetting my traditional brown bag lunch, I cycled myself down to the Indy City Market for some food action. Without much of an idea of what I wanted, I roamed aimlessly until I came across this vendor hidden in the corner. The chalkboard sign said two soups that day: split pea and roasted red pepper with goat cheese. Obviously, I went for the ladder, with a slice of french bread. My first bite was an amazing infusion of red peppers, spices and sharp hits of tangy goat cheese. The entire soup was blended, not chunky. Innocent looking, but packed with some serious flavor! I didn't put the spoon down until the cup was empty. My spot is officially hit. I need a cigarette.

I have been coming to Circle City Soups (and the adjoining Circle City Sweets) for years (this family knows its stuff!). I consider myself a soup connoisseur, and it's with great pleasure that I highly recommend the soups here. There are usually 2 or 3 soups on the menu every day and the selection changes weekly. The secret to good soup is developing the flavor. You don't want to just season the whole pot at the beginning and forget about it. You have to build the flavor, and the owner understands this and takes it to heart. For example, his creamy tomato has just a hint of basil that li gers on the back end and the jarring acidity that can be present in tomato-based soups is nowhere to be found. The soups are all reasonably priced ($4, tax included) and come with either French bread or cornbread. There are some non-soup items (grilled cheese sandwich) that you can order to round out your meal, but when you are going to a place with the word "soup" in the name, why bother (I'm not knocking the grilled cheese with that last statement, I've just never ordered it...and probably never will)? I'd rather have a side of soup with my soup.
(4)Dale H.
I had an opportunity to check out Circle City Soups during a Yelp elite event. I met the owners and had a sample of their roasted red pepper and goat cheese. The soup was outstanding. I'm not a big fan of soup in general (I feel like if it's drinkable, it should be in a glass :) but this had a lot of flavor and I would definitely buy it. I look forward to my next trip to market square so I can try some of the other soups.
(5)Bobby N.
Much more than soup. But the soups are great. I still remember a tomato gazpacho from last summer as one of my favorite lunches ever. They are located in the historic and beautiful City Market and open for lunch during the week. On Wednesday - Friday you can have a real treat by asking for their menu at Tomlinson Tap. I had the dry rub chicken wings and they were fantastic. The chef had prepared a very special blue cheese dipping sauce to go with the wings that was so tasty I thought about asking for a spoon. I am not really sure what she did but the spices and creaminess were perfect. Go for lunch and stay for a pint with dinner !
(5)Zack P.
I ordered "Biscuits and gravy" they had a choice of sausage, either Goose something (local butcher I guess) or Chorizo. I asked the girl at the counter if the only difference was the sausage was a little spicier on the Chorizo option. She said yes. What I got was a tiny cup, with a tiny Cornbread piece, and some sort of strange red sauce on top. I don't k ow anyone who would call that "biscuits and gravy". I was not happy. $4 wasted. I have had their BLT which was delicious.
(3)Elizabeth W.
A solid go-to lunch spot in City Market. Their soups have never disappointed me. The menu changes regularly and often has something less common (borscht) or some intriguing combination (carrot avocado), plus a classic. Also, the Fried Egg BLT is one of those amazing sandwiches that you'll definitely get cravings for after the first experience. My only (rather frustrating) complaint... the teeny tiny slice of bread you get with an order of soup. C'mon dudes, surely Circle City Sweets can spare a solid chunk of baguette or what-have-you to sop up that soupy goodness.
(4)LaShelle S.
When I first heard about the Vietnamese wrap I didn't think I would like it and I was right because I looooooovvveee it! And their soups are always amazing. I came here to try to bring myself back to life from a hangover and it worked! I got the Vietnamese wrap, a whole cup of curry pumpkin soup and a double slice of cornbread! The cornbread is so amazing I had to get two! They normally don't have the Vietnamese wrap or lunch items on Saturday but if they have leftover ingredients they will make it!! Great start to the day!
(5)Scott M.
Hummus and relish = insanely great, 4.5 stars. Creamy (hummus), fresh and spicy (relish), salty and crunchy (chips). Doesn't get a full 5 because I needed a few more pita triangles to finish up the hummus. Hot dog special, 4 stars. House beer mustard, ramp kraut, fried egg wonderful insanity. I don't eat more than a hot dog or two a year these days, but when I go, I want a crazy flavorful one like this. Circle City Soups has earned a "check out the hot dog special board before automatically ordering a crepe at 3 Days In Paris" ... and that's saying something. Definitely a strong contender for my City Market lunchtime cash.
(4)Wanda M.
While downtown, my Son and I came to the Market with intentions of hopefully having potato soup or corn chowder after reading the reviews on Yelp. Neither was available and explained corn chowder only offered in summer months. My son opted for the Grill Cheese expecting your average, homemade grilled cheese. He was impressed with the quality of the cheese and thickest of the sandwich and mumbled compliments while scarfing down his sandwich. The only thing he thought might possibly improve the sandwich was bacon which I'm sure they would have added had we asked. We'll be back!
(4)Sondra S.
Today I indulged in the biscuits and gravy and it was exactly what I wanted. A fresh biscuit with creamy sausage gravy goodness that sticks with you for hours upon end. They warmed up the biscuit before pouring the gravy on top. The biscuits are clearly made from scratch and are great! The crumble right apart. My only complaint is that the container wasn't very big so you couldn't fit quite enough gravy in the container for my liking. I like for each bite of the biscuit to be covered in gravy. In addition to the traditional sausage gravy, they also have vegetarian and chorizo gravy. On Saturdays you can order from Tomilson Tap Room if you'd like to eat up there. Just for the heads up, if you order from the Tap Room it's a different menu than the chalkboards that are right in front of Circle City Soups. The service when it comes to friendliness and accuracy of completing the order is always a 5/5 in my book. Sometimes you have a to wait a wee bit, but it is mostly because there is one person making the food (at least on Saturdays). If you watch her though, she hustles and not a second is wasted to I'm perfectly entertained in watching the wonderful, culinary creations come together. I would overall describe their food as fresh takes on traditional foods. If you want something complex or that you won't quite have a a family dinner. For example, the noodle wrap is something that you won't find in too many other places in Indy, if any (it's a great light, lunch option if you're ever curious; interesting mix of flavors that you likely wouldn't think of on your own, but they definitely work). An example of a traditional-esqe food that they have is their "Dad Corn Chowder," not so light like the wrap, but oh so good on a fall day with a light chill in the air. Mmm creamy corn goodness!
(5)Sarah M.
I appreciate having a vegetarian option on the menu, but the Vietnamese noodle wrap was literally nothing but noodles and romaine stuffed into a tortilla with a mayo dressing. Seemed like repurposed leftovers. Def not worth 6 bucks.
(2)Brittany S.
I've already raved about you like crazy in my Indianapolis City Market review, but as I sit here eating/drinking yet another one of your tasty concoctions I have to say, "Seriously!? Moroccan tomato soup?" Could you get any cuter? Taste any better? I was informed that this was made using some type of bbq sauce from yesterday's chicken - please do this again. I was the lucky gal who bought the last bowl of it today. One more thought: I love how your prices always come out to the even dollar. I'm slightly obsessive about making my tips round off - you guys are kind enough to do the work for me.
(5)Shoshana K.
Today's lunch was absolutely decadent! One of the best I've had in Indy since moving here. I got the sammy special: BLT w a runny egg ON A BUTTERY RIDINKULOUS CROISANT!!!!!!!!! OMG this was so good. I wanted to get some soup since, after all, it's their name. However, the sangwich especial today won me over and w the specials you can't do half and half (however other wraps and sammies can be combined in this fashion..). My friend ordered the same thing as me and both sandwiches were prepared beautifully, very fast, and consistent. The attention to detail w our food was spot on. Both of our eggs were uber runny and the croissants were flakey and delicioso-held the ingredients together better than I expected! Definitely one of the hi lights in city market-take your taste buds for a ride and pay these guys a visit!!!
(5)Laura M.
Well Circle City Soups, now you've done it. I came for the soups. I stayed for the wraps. I drooled and professed eternal love when I tasted the salads. Now I have to buy a big fancy diamond and move in for the hot dogs. Today, it was "pho dog," a ridiculous gourmet combo of beef hot dog steamed in pho broth, then topped with pickled jalapenos, sriracha, hoisin sauce, onions, and crispy noodles. A few weeks ago it was a dog with pastrami salmon, mustard creme fraiche, honey glaze and pickles. SAY WHAT!? At six bucks a pop this is an excellent stop for lunch cravings. If you're still peckish after you inhale a hot dog (ha ha) you can go to Circle City Sweets and pick up a cookie. Then walk it off, honey. That New Years resolution ain't gonna keep itself.

Great soups
(3)Rick W.
I read the other reviews and wondered, is it because it is a Monday? I ordered the biscuit and gravy. It was 4 dollars worth of nastiness. Salty, over seasoned, and when I got to the biscuit, I wondered what day it was baked. I got a cup of coffee as well, it is ok. I should have gone with my gut and gotten a croissant from the Sweet Shop as they are always awesome. I guess I expected this to be too.
(2)Wendy K.
I was splitting my lunch with my with my mom, who got a Cuban sandwich from another vendor. I thought, well, let's split a soup. The man at the counter suggested a soup that is made with beef stock, onions and mushrooms (also had big chunks of beef in it). I thought I would give it a go. I was surprised that a large soup was only $4 and came with cornbread or french bread. I got to the table and realized I forgot to get an extra cup and spoon to split with my mom. Worked out perfectly because I loved the soup so much that I didn't want to share it!! I skipped the sandwich and stuck with my delicious soup that had many layers of flavors in it. Next time I am in the City Market, I might make a go again at a sandwich, but it will for sure be accompanied by another cup of soup from Circle City Soups!! Oh, and as a bonus, I saw a sign at their booth that says you get one free knife sharpening with any sandwich purchase! Or perhaps I imagined that sign because I was in a yummy soup induced stupor!
(5)Joanna B.
Yes, Yes, I am the duchess :) And I plan on holding on to that title because I cannot get enough of their Vietnamese Chicken Wraps! The flavor in this thing is amazing and so unique. They have made a few changes to the wrap since the new year and are now using rice noodles and it's just that much better! I work out extra hard Saturday mornings at the bike hub just so i can walk over to Circle City Soups and get this wonderful treat!!
(5)Sunah K.
Love to cozy up with a hot bowl of soup on a crisp fall day, but even when it's not too cool out, I still love to cozy up with soup from Circle City Soup! It's so hard to decide what to eat for lunch at City Market--crepes, soup, Fermenti sandwich, croissant....I stopped at Circle City Soups for their special smoked BLT sandwich, but I couldn't NOT order a soup. another tough decision: Brown butter mushroom with gorgonzola or roasted red pepper with goat cheese....I went with the mushroom and I was in soup heaven! Smooth, creamy, rich, and decadent, not your Campbell's cream of mushroom! I got a small cup since I also had a whole sandwich to eat, but when my cup was empty I thought I shoulda gotten a large bowl and eaten just half my sandwich. Well, that wouldn't have worked since I couldn't NOT eat my whole sandwich too! Smoking Goose bacon, smoked moz, balsamic and greens on focaccia. I was stuffed and ready for an afternoon siesta. PS-thank you Yelp for the Check-in discount!
(5)Kate W.
Update: They've changed the way they make the Vietnamese noodle wrap, and I didn't realize it until I got back to the office. The orange tortilla is now a regular flour tortilla, the field greens have been replaced with lighter lettuce, chives have been added, and the noodles have been changed to rice noodles. The sauce also tastes different but I'm not sure in what way. Overall, I'm disappointed. I liked the way it was and the new version doesn't live up to the original. Edit: Just found a random jalapeno in it. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be in there or not; there was only one in the whole thing.
(3)Dani B.
I picked up a cup of soup and a small salad for lunch today and had to write about it. The Mushroom and Brie soup made my day. It was creamy and buttery (as brie should be) and was balanced by just the perfect amount of mushroom flavor. It wasn't too "earthy," but mild and delicious. I am trying to figure out when they serve this next so I can be first in line. If my review was just for the soup, it would have been five stars. However, the salad I had was good, but not life-changing. They used a green mixture that contained actual greens (which was appreciated), but the dressing was only okay. Still, I will be back to try more soup flavors after reading the reviews here. I felt that the price was fair and the quality was high.
(4)Joanne S.
I tried the roasted red pepper soup with goat cheese. Delicious! Also had a slice of corn bread and it was the best ever! Great place and I plan to revisit often.
(5)Samantha H.
I got the black bean soup and Vietnamese noodle wrap. The soup was really really good! It didn't look like anything special but there was this spice and heat behind every bite that was perfect. And in my experiences black bean soup can sometimes have a mush taste. This one didn't have that at all. It also came with some good cornbread. The Vietnamese noodle wrap was really good too but I would try something else next time. I do think that when I go back - which I will be craving soup in the Fall - I will give it more stars.
(3)Jon A.
Yes this review is being written amidst an Indian Summer stretch of early October. However much this heat teases your umbrella drinking side of yourself, it's simply a red herring in the plot of Old Man Winter. Your inside tracks will want to be de-iced & defrosted this season. The Circle City Soups stand inside the City Market will ease that feeling of desperation. The down feather coat (synthetic or otherwise) for your insides. Rather than childish mittens... a meatloaf sandwich. Fresh french bread baked next stand down at Circle City Sweets Patisserie, pressed down onto a homemade meat loaf, well spiced, with sherry aioli (yes, that's a fragment but don't let that fool you that the meatloaf sandwich is wholesome). I haven't even dove into the soups. I tackled the meatloaf sandwich on one of these hotober days and hopefully the City Market wafted with my meatloaf sherry sweats. Soups. Crafted sandwiches. This is a harbinger for an eased, sustainable winter.

For all 26 years of my life, I have been an avid soup lover. I love all things soup. I love the creaminess, and the warmth, and the comfort of soups. The soup made by Roger Hawkins of Circle City Soups is really, truly, the best soup that I have ever tasted during those 26 years of soup adoring. And I don't just mean one flavor of soup that he does particularly well - every single variety of soup made by Roger is THE BEST. ever. Mr. Hawkins is an incredibly creative and passionate chef who comes up with the most unique ideas for soups. He can always be found wandering around his booth, and he loves to chat about his different recipes, the local sources for his produce, ideas that he has for soups - you can tell that he loves his job. Soups that I have tried, loved, adored, and dreamed about include: *My Dad's Sweet Corn Chowder * Tomato Basil * Roasted Butternut Squash Soup Served with Whipped Cream *Curried Sweet Potato *Creamy Potato Bacon Seriously....every single one is better than its description does it justice. $4 for a huge bowl of it, and each bowl is served with either a slice of corn bread or french bread. The breads are made by Roger's awesome wife, Cindy Hawkins of Circle City Sweets. The breads are superdelicious and always pair perfectly with the soups. My other obsession from CircleCity Soups, other than the soups of course, is the Vietnamese Noodle Wrap. It sounds weird, but is honestly one of my favorite lunches ever. They take some delicious noodle salad and wrap it in a tomato tortilla with grilled chicken, a tasty Vietnamese sauce, and mixed greens. Trust me - it is amazing. His salads are also fantastic - do yourself a favor and check out the Cilantro Chicken Caesar Salad. The cilantro-caesar dressing is super unique and smooth; it just seems to have less of a "bite" than a traditional caesar salad. For just $6, you can pick two of the following: half of a chicken salad sandwich or noodle wrap, a cup of soup, or half of a salad. I can't imagine anyone giving Circle City Soups less than five stars. It is affordable, the chef uses local produce when at all possible, the flavor combinations are incredible, and you can grab it quickly on your way through City Market. Can you tell I am a big fan?
(5)William C.
It's like cheating. This place is very transparently linked with Circle City Sweets. You know what that means? The bread component of their offerings is 100% engaged. Let's give one example: The "French" breakfast sandwich. A Circle City Sweets (c.f. my other reviews) croissant which has been stuffed with Smoking Goose (c.f. my other reviews) City Ham, gruyere cheese, and a cooked-to-order egg, for $5. That would be a touch expensive, were it the caloric equivalent at McDonald's. But considering a) it's at least a BIT north of there, and b) It's the flavor equivalent of any five-star restaurant's "Oh my good Lord, this is, bite-for-bite, the best ham + cheese breakfast sandwich I have ever consumed" breakfast offering, I am ready to declare that Circle City Soup's breakfast sandwich is thoroughly "Worth It." Also, they make a great many excellent soups, typically pureed, whose texture and richness is unreproachable. And lunch sandwiches. And stuff. I just had their pulled-pork Bayou sandwich and was most exquisitely won over ($7, but composed of such long-smoked flavor and deeply caramelized onion and real-Fing-leavened [courtesy Circle City Sweets] bun texture that one would NEVER, upon tasting, imagine greater), that I could not help but 5-star this fantastic establishment.
(5)Valerie S.
Food tried: - Bayou Black Bean soup ($4/large) I had the pleasure of trying Circle City Soups as part of the Shakespeare at the Yelp! event last night. I'm not sure which Chef was running the booth, but I had the even greater pleasure of trying the Bayou Black Bean soup. Now, I've had me some black bean soups. I used to eat them in the dining hall back at college, and they generally made a pretty respectable soup, and their black bean wasn't half bad (wasn't my fave, but it wouldn't kill you). That black bean ain't got nothin' on this black bean. I mean, damn. Spicy, smooth, and piping hot, it was absolutely, as Trevor G. and Benjamin H. before me note "the best soup I have ever had". It was even good COLD, and I think cold soup is about as illogical as clothes for pets (they have fur for a reason, don't they?). I would not hesitate to recommend Circle City Soups to anyone, even my enemies, so they can be jealous that I tried the soup for free. I eagerly look forward to heading back to the city market to sneak past Circle City Sweets to the corner where the chef wears a Sun King Brewing shirt under his whites (I wonder what beer they use in the beer can chicken?), to make my tastebuds do the cha cha again.
(5)Ben R.
I love the Vietnamese Noodle Wrap. The salads and soups that I've had have all been great. They have catered lunch meetings at my office and everyone loved the food!
(5)Therese H.
Delicious! The soups here are amazing. Truly every time my husband and I go we each order a soup to split and have never been disappointed. In fact, even if it doesn't sound like something we would normally like we will still order it and have always ended up pleasantly surprised. The service is excellent and food comes out quickly. I highly recommend this establishment!

my Favorite soup & Sandwich place downtown, i'm in love with the Vietnamese Noodle Wrap & ANY soup they make i used my Yelp App Coupon here
(5)Linda M.
I tried the Caribbean chicken and rice soup. I was not expecting a tomato-based soup. It had the kick of Caribbean. It was alright, but I could only eat 1/2 of my container of soup.
(3)Theresa S.
Had the 1/2 soup and 1/2 sandwich combo today. The Vietnamese noodle wrap was delicious, but the soup was OUTSTANDING. I used the french bread supplied to wipe every morsel out of my cup. The soup today was a Roasted Ancho Butternut soup and IMHO it rates on par with the crowd summer favorite, My Dad's Corn Chowder. The squash was purchased on Tuesday from a local farmer and was very tasty and rich soup on Friday when I had it. Don't miss any of these soups - the name says it.

Circle City Soups is part of my daily routine. As a bike commuter I need to grab a breakfast bite after my ride. The $3 omelette is the best deal in City Market. Of course the $7 BLT croissant on Fridays is absurdly good and hard to pass up. Love this place!

Hot damn this is some good grub! *Important to note -- this food was brought to me, I did not go to the City Market for this review. DEEP FRIEND BACON. Yes, this is one of those fantastic delicacies that were given to me made by Roger and crew. How could you go wrong? I've also had pulled pork sandwiches, duck wings and the corn chowder (oh the corn chowder!). And everything is so. darn. good. Roger is truly a great addition to the City Market and to our city. Oh and that pulled pork sammy, the bun was out of this world and it's not often something of a simply carb nature makes my review. Circle City Soups makes me want to work downtown and brave that daily commute just so I can get this more often.

Best soup in town!!!! Amazing variations on some classics as well as many innovative recipes that will change the way you look at soup! Incredible prices and friendly, knowledgeable service! Owner, Roger Hawkins, spares no detail when it comes to the creation of his soups. The sandwiches and salads offered at Circle City Soups are just as amazing as the soups themselves. Hawkins has managed to take fine dining and make it available to the public at a low price!

Wednesday at Indianapolis City Market I took a break from selling the best coffee in the city Bjava Coffee, and had a bowl of Circle City Soups Potato Bacon Soup. It was "to die for" really good stuff done right. Cindy Hawkins husband knows how to balance flavors like no other soup chef I have had the pleasure of trying. If you have not been to get some of this stuff from one of the many Farmer's Markets that Circle City Sweets sells there goodies, do so soon. You deserve it!
