Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Depending on the team that is working these guys are awesome! And this makes the Paleo list! If you ask for the veggie bowl, no beans, no cheese, just lettuce extra lettuce, extra guac and extra pico, whalllah: Hello Paleo! We have tried it with the pork option, not the barbecoa but the little pieces...um not a fan...too wet and too fatty tasting. This team is usually all smiles and always very accommodating, I am sure they find my Paleo version of their bowl amusing. Except for the one time I ordered this and the guy wanted to charge me extra for all the extras I wanted even though I wasn't getting any meat...sigh...maybe I can convert him to my Paleo lifestyle. Super busy during lunch often there is not a place to park during their lunch rushes. Park at the bank and walk over for easy access to the glorious CHIPOTLE! Once in line these guys are experts at getting you through. The 4 stars is just for service. These guys usually take amazing care of you but occasionally during the busy times they get into mission mode and forget to smile and individualize the service. I get it been there before myself. Ole! The Chipotle Way! Love you guys! Seriously could eat you three times and not feel guilty about it!

BAD EXPERIENCE AT THIS LOCATION. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the manager "Juan Silva" at this resturant. First let me say I enjoy eating at Chipotle. I like the fresh ingredients and the surroundings. I have often eaten there in other cities, besides Indianapolis. That said, due to a medical condition I have a problem with spicy foods, even the "mild" salsa burns my tongue and I will suffer for hours afterward. It took me a few trips to find out what was "hot" and what is "not". After speaking with a manager at a different Chipotle he recommended I not get the mild salsa and instead ask for plain tomatoes. That was the answer to my problem and I have always asked for and received plain tomatoes ever since. This evening at the above location (which by chance is the closest to my home) the line person didn't want to get plain tomatoes from the back, though eventually she went back and brought a box up. Then "manager" Juan Silva came up and said, "we don't do that here", and told her to take the tomatoes back! No amount of cajoling would change his mind. I told him I had ordered plain tomatoes at different Chipotles, including this one, many times before with no problem but he wouldn't allow her put any on my salad. He acted smug and uncaring, his way only. I told him I would be writing to complain and this guy acted totally unconcerned. I filed a complaint with Chipotle.com but so far have received no response. The whole experience left a bad taste and as far as I'm concerned they have lost a good customer. I will not eat at any Chipotle again. UPDATE: Was contacted by corporate via e-mail and given an apology for the rude behavior of the staff. Said plain tomatoes are offered as long as they are available. (They keep the plain tomatoes in the fridge in the back, which are shipped already chopped, in big boxes.) They are contacting the "appropiate people" to make sure the staff all brush up on their customer service. The representative offered to send a coupon for a free burrito as a good will gesture. I intend to go back to this location and again ask for plain tomatoes. Will keep you posted...

I came in on crutches and the employees went out of their way to make sure that I was taken care of. The guacamole is awesome, too.

I have been here twice. Service is always fast and the food is tasty. I love crunchy tacos but so often the shells are stale. They are always fresh here. The employees are very polite and nice. Both times I brought my baby and they always offered to carry the food to my table for me. They had a promotion for the braised tofu sofritas, so I tried it. It is really good, even for a meat eater!

I've been here a couple of times. Their burrito bowls are very tasty. I'm a fan of their barbacoa! A little pricey, but not too bad! However, both times it was hard to find a clean-ish table, and I never saw a worker cleaning up any tables. I'm not picky at fast food restaurants; I don't expect spotless tables or floors (although it's nice when it happens). I do wish the tables were cleaner than they were, though. If they cleaned it up a little better, I'd give them 4 stars.

I really dislike this entire chain. I have eaten at few and have not been impressed. They make these burritos look huge by packing them in flavorless overcooked rice then put a few ingredients on. They have additional items that you can buy a la carte to put on your burrito to add flavor, but you'd think they would be included. This is Tex-Mex cafeteria food. I do applaud that they use responsible meat. I suppose that means the carne asada accepts responsibility for being delicious in a burrito?! Don't eat here if you want decent mexican food.

Just tried the sofritas burrito and it was totally edible. I appreciate a protein option for vegetarians, but the sofritas (I was told they have tofu) really look like a mystery concoction. Nothing extraordinary here- well, except the total. I added guacamole to the burrito and it totaled almost $10. What happened to the days of adding guac being 75 cents or $1? They ought to give you options on the portion/ pricing. I like the ethos of chipotle in general, but I dang near could have had an entree at a quality sit down restaurant. Also, they did offer to add the 'fajita' peppers/ onions to the burrito, but they looked like they'd been there all day. Or maybe longer. The whole bin of it looked grey. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and I like the food better than QDoba.

I love the food here, especially since we have the little guy, and quality food is important to me. But wait... What? No changing tables at all?? Nooo!! The weather's only going to be nice enough to change him in the car for a little while. And when your office, family room and nursery is your car, a restaurant changing table is a nice break from the backseat and the road. The rest of the atmosphere is what it is... You could be in any of the restaurants across Indy. Food was great, service ok.

There are a lot of fast food options around my office, so I have a lot of choices for lunch. If I take a late lunch, I'll sometimes stop at Chipotle for a burrito bol. If I take lunch during the regular lunch hour, parking and the lines usually prevent me from stopping in here because it's just too congested. I jump around on the menu a lot here depending on my mood, and their commitment to fresh ingredients means anything I get will be the freshest it can be. Free range meat and the companies commitment to local farmers also makes me feel like they're not just concerned with making money. The menu options haven't changed much in the 10 or so years I've been coming to Chipotle. It's simple, fresh and well prepared. No need to mess with quality when you've got lines out the door with little advertising.

I eat here quite regularly and you should too. The food is delicious, and a healthier alternative to other fast food. The service is great and the staff is very friendly! Be sure to try the guacamole! You won't be sorry :) The only downside is their lack of caffeine-free diet coke. Not a big issue, but if you want Mexican food and caffeine-free diet coke too, Qdoba is very nearby! As far as the menu is concerned, it is pretty simple. However, you can mix and match ingredients for a unique flavor each visit. It's very much like the subway model of create-your-own meal.

Chipotle isn't what I'd refer to as true Mexican food but still a nice meal for a burrito or taco. It is a good semi-fast meal. Even when their packed for lunch or dinner they move you through the line quickly. You can expect either super friendly or extremely focused & polite service. The menu is small and fairly simple to maneuver through quickly. Burritos made with your selection of fillers, with or without tortilla which is served in a bowl, tacos and sides of chips with salsa or guacamole. Everyone has their favorite meat, type of beans and fillers so chose your favorites. Don't hesitate to instruct them on how much or little of one item you want in your burrito. It's your order! Just be polite. Easy to order ahead and pick up to go order. I first had Chipotle's the 2nd week after this location originally opened. I literally ate lunch here every day for 2 weeks and dinner several nights as well. Years ago it was new, different and reasonably priced. The prices have gone up over the years and it's becoming harder to find it a bargain but still reasonable. The food is consistent from restaurant to restaurant and always clean, modern decor with patio setting in warm weather.

Chipotle has the best burritos. Their menu is very limited. Pretty much burrito, burrito with no wrap in a bowl, or tacos are your options. I think you might be able to talk them into a quesadilla. As far as sides you can get some chips with salsa or guacamole and that's it. If you get a burrito and a drink it's about $8. I like the trendy interior. They do a good job at keeping it clean. They always seem to have some pretty good music going. I would recommend looking at the meats before choosing one. I like the pulled beef barbacoa, but sometimes seeing it I will go with steak instead. The chicken is good too. I think the pork sucks after trying it a couple times.

I really like their burrito bowls, and love their new-ish offering of brown rice instead of just white rice. Makes me feel like my "healthy" burrito bowl is just a little bit better for me :). I recommend this place for lunch or for a night when you really don't feel like cooking. I usually have enough left over for lunch the next day, their bowls are such big portions! It can get busy during the lunch hours, but its lunch, what do you expect?

When I chose two stars yelp says "Meh. I've experienced better." And that's exactly how I felt about it. I had a 3 taco meal with carnitas and thought the spices in the sauce just tasted off. The guacamole was fantastic and the chips were pretty good, too. What really turns me off about Chipotle was the price. They charged my husband 1.80 for adding guacamole to his burrito! We spent more here than we would at a sit-down place. I will tell you honestly that I prefer Qdoba over Chipotle.

Chipotles food tastes great. Never been a huge fan of their interior design but I go there for the grub not the decor. Probably healthier than burgers too. Keep in mind most flour tortillas add 100 calories so I am a fan of the bowls (same ingredients without the extra cals) For newbies to CMG, you have to know what you are going to order because they won't explain much of anything to you. In fact, the first time I stepped into the place, I ended up leaving without ordering because I was under the impression someone would explain the concept. Wrong! Anyway, their signs are updated now and it is a bit easier to figure out that you either are going to get a burrito, a bowl, or a salad, or a taco. Then you just tell them what you want them to put in it. Not exactly rocket science I suppose. Enjoy.

Chipotles need to filter down south in Indy, but until then they will keep me driving up North to have amazing burritos. Sometimes I have to sorta "instruct" the worker as to how much rice/beans/meat need to go into it so it ends up not exploding, but I always end up happy. A chicken burrito and a soda make almost any day better.

I wish there was a Chipotle closer to me. Honestly, I love their burritos. They are not as consistent as I guess I'd like, but then again, whenever I make my own burritos, I tend to completely stuff my face with whatever I want, and this is a restaurant, so I guess that's how it goes. The burritos are big, the guac is delicious, there's outdoor seating (which is always a plus in my book,) and the few times I've been here the service has been great. All in all... it's just as good as every other Chipotle I've been to, which is good.

Chipotle is a great place for gluten free food! I go there for lunch pretty often. Fresh food and not too little or too much. I particularly like their veggie burrito bowls. Their tea is tasty too!
(5)Liz R.
mehhhh. i've only ever gotten salads here. and although they're alright, they're seriously not worth 6.50. i like their attempt to be healthy and fresh, but whatever. not impressed. i go when im in the area and starving, but i dont go out of my way to eat here.
(3)Marc K.
Yes, I know it's another chain. Chipotle gets 5 stars for using responsible meat. No antibiotics, no hormones, animals fed diets that they might actually eat in nature, what a novel concept! Their pork and chicken burritos are delicious. The guac and chips are both made in every store instead of being purchased in bulk. The next time you have a burrito need, check out Chipotle.
