A local pancake house that is clearly a local favorite from how it is constantly packed. There's not much one can say beyond the basic description except that portions are large and food prices are very affordable. However, I get the sense that the food is significantly subsidized by the drinks. $6 for a large orange juice or $3 for a small glass of milk are as overpriced as the entrees are underpriced. Be mindful of how the price adds up as this local diner ends up not being as affordable as it might appear at first glance.

I've eaten here 20+ times but never wrote a review. This reminds me of a few Greek diners I use to go to on the East Coast. The menu is large, the prices good and the portions are big. 99.9% of the time get breakfast food from here. I love their chicken omelete special. The omelete had pieces of real chicken, cheese, peppers, tomatoes and onions. It also comes with 2 pancakes, fruit or grits. I'm a big eater and I think only 2 times I've been able to eat it all. I also switch it up from time to time and get the 2x4. 2 eggs your way and 4 pancakes. Always full when I'm done. My nephews love this place. They all get the chocolate chip pancakes with chocolate syrup and chocolate milk. Yes that's alot of chocolate, but uncles can do that. The waitress staff is alway friendly, even when the place is packed. I never got one of their skillets, but a lot of people get them and seem to enjoy them.

This place was not good at all. My family and I dined here for breakfast because we pass the restaurant quite often since we live close by. The pancakes tasted as if they were industrial style mix. They had no flavor and just tasted plain. The charge about $5 for a glass of OJ and it wasn't even freshly squuzed. The only thing that was semi ok was the meat. Hashbrowns were disgusting and tasted soggy. We had canadian bacon and ham and it was ok. For the price we paid here it wasn't worth it. We will stick to Cracker Barrel.

You won't find a diner breakfast that's more affordable or of better quality on the Eastside. The owner is great and the service is ridiculously fast. Always a great pick!
(4)Andy M.
Great selection. Tasty food. The servers are above average! Highly recommended for meals on a budget. The selection is varied enough that I have eaten here twice in one day.

What is it with me? Lately, it seems like I've been almost magnetically attracted to these sort of divey restaurants with diner quality food, relaxed/friendly service, and an interior/exterior most easily defined as "lived in." After reading our dear Brittany's spirited review of Blueberry Hill, I realized I hadn't been by here for awhile and it was about time. So, while I was at the nearby Peddler's Mall Flea Market picking up some incense I decided to stop in to Blueberry Hill for a quick dinner before heading home after a long day at work. I wish I could remember the name of the restaurant that used to inhabit this place - it was one mighty fine burger joint. I used to go to it all the time on Sundays after church, but as the area got run down its popularity seemed to fade and it eventually closed. Blueberry Hill has had the spot for a few years. It's the latest in what seems like a long run of my dedication to breakfast/diner type places along the lines of Lincoln Square or Four Seasons or Waffle House, etc. Blueberry Hill is actually a pancake house with an extensive breakfast menu, but they also serve a wide variety of sandwiches, meals, desserts, etc. It's also the kind of place where you can eat for less than $10 - My cheeseburger w/fries and an unsweetened tea was under $9.00 without tip. With my recent review of Four Seasons, I shared my fondness for "real" servers. While fine dining can certainly be a blast, there's something pretty amazing about a laid back, friendly server who wants to treat you well but who doesn't act like every gesture of kindness is a desperate plea for a little bit higher of a tip. It's a sort of down home friendliness that I just absolutely love and, yes, I was rather overjoyed to have my second server in a row (after Four Seasons) with a visible tattoo. Yeah, I know I'm weird. If I were to rate Blueberry Hill solely on the food, I have to be honest and say it'd probably be a 3, maybe a 3.5. The burger is good and just about what you'd expect from a diner. The fries, of the steak fry variety, were tasty and the order size was decent. I enjoyed the meal immensely, but I'd not put it up there with the best meals I've ever had. However, when I get service that truly makes me feel better after a rough day at work I feel compelled to lift that score a bit. Natalie was friendly, helpful, efficient, and attentive. I didn't even have a refill of my iced tea this time around, but she didn't flinch when I said I wanted to stick around a bit to do some reading. Sometimes, you just like a server and I really liked Natalie. So, good food and great service along with a comfortable, winning atmosphere lead me to a 4-star review for this rough little Eastside diamond of a diner. It may not be the best meal you'll ever have, but it's terrific comfort food in a terrifically comfortable restaurant. Sometimes, that truly hits the spot.

Have been going here regularly for breakfast the past couple of months and love it. The servers are always very friendly and the food is really good. We've never had to wait very long to be served.
(5)Jessica P.
This is one of our go-to Sunday brunch stops. Mostly because I ALWAYS want breakfast and my husband tends to want a sandwich after noon. Absurd, I know. Everything we've had is great! Servers are excellent. It is very much a family owned restaurant. Large portions, very reasonable prices. It can get very busy but the wait is never too long. There's lots of seating and the food comes quickly.
(4)Brittany S.
That was fun! And ridiculously cheap. What has happened in my life that $7 meals seem like such a novelty? Ay, my frugal father would have been proud of the sticker price on my Blueberry Hill feast. And by feast, I mean the other ladies at the table were commenting on my ability to put.some.food.downnn.... My order: *Buttermilk pancake with fresh strawberries (in my defense, they brought out an extra - which I was not able to eat - - for the record) *half order of biscuits and gravy with hashbrowns (gluttony and deliciousness at its finest) My only complaint was just how greasy the hashbrowns were but it's hard to complain about greasy eats while chowing at a "greasy spoon". Today is a new day, $10 or less meals, here I come! Thanks to Yelper Heather H for hosting the most adorable Galentine's Day gathering I've ever attended. (Kudos to the hustling waitress for serving a table of 20 hungry ladies with ease)

Blueberry hill "pancake" house...... The pancakes were awful....... I mean awful. I can make better pancakes myself at home. It already doesn't have the best location off of Washington street with everything closing up around it. Add on top of that the VERY dirty interior and the falling apart seats this place doesn't have much to offer. Now I do understand how you could enjoy a small little diner like this, my personal favorite is Perkins off 82nd. They have the great food excellent service but still with the at home feel. Blueberry hill came up way way short for my wife and I tonight. They need to step up their game if they want to last.
(1)Meg E.
First off, this place is filthy. Dirty floors, menus, booths, cups, silverware, etc. This place is falling apart and very outdated. The prices are decent and the crunchy ice is good but the food...not great. I was excited to order pancakes from a pancake house but they have a weird texture and are gummy/chewy. My side order of "fresh" fruit was warm like it had been cooked and my eggs and meat were way too salty. Never again will I come to this disappointing place. For similar food options/prices with much nicer staff and cleaner decor (not to mention much tastier/fresh food), I'll stick with Perkins.
(1)Lindsey M.
Amazing breakfast option! Love the fast service, wait staff is friendly and my favorite dish is the Greek skillet. Everything is priced reasonably for size portion.
(5)Sqirrl B.
I always dig coming here for my east side diner fix. They really do amazing on their pancakes, and the rest of the food is good diner fare. The gyros were really good, the mashed potatoes were ok. The fruit cup was fresh, and the omelette loaded with jalapeños. The spinach was frozen, and a little disappointing, or it would have been five stars. The place always looks really clean, and the service has always been fast and friendly. I'll be back, and next time I'm getting the pancakes, not just stealing dh's.
(4)Jason A.
Granted we know it's on E Washington, I thought it was going to be something akin to flapjacks, however flapjacks is actually ok. Wife and I ordered the skillets, I also got a side of biscuits and gravy, came with toast and pancakes. Hasbrowns underneath were not cooked through, corn beef hash was hardly noticeable, biscuits and gravy were already solidified. They didn't even split them. Waitress asked "sausage gravy?" I said yes and found no sausage. Took a few bites, biscuits were dry. Pancakes were flat, tasteless, took a few bites of those as well. If you want subpar industrial food or have no taste buds knock yourself out. Waitress sensed something was wrong, you just smile pay the check then yelp. Service was fine. Not recommended.
(1)Anna V.
I've been many times and was thinking that I've never had a bad experience there! This last time we went at 10 am on Sunday and were seated right away. The food, which we had a county fried steak and skillet, was ready in less than 10 minutes. My coffee cup was always full. Not to mention the menu is awesome and very reasonable. I'll be back!
(5)Tom W.
I love that it's local, but only three stars for the food and service. I usually have breakfast which is generally good but often a little overcooked. There is a long list of menu choices, and I most of the simpler egg meals are very tasty. Diced ham and scrambled eggs is my current favorite served with very good hash browns. The price is right for the entire menu. Very reasonable.
(3)Gus J.
Great service, food is fast and cheap, cozy atmosphere. I've eaten here a few times and it's been good every time. I only gave it a 4 star because the food is a little too greasy for me but still a great place to try.
(4)David T.
Decent quality food for the Midwest. I enjoyed my spinach, bacon, cheese omelette. Also, there were good prices and service. I would go back again.
(4)Belinda R.
Blueberry hill is pretty much equivalent to a Denny's atmosphere. The food isn't the greatest but it's inexpensive breakfast. It is convenient for larger groups to be seated, and right off of the interstate. If you visit, I recommend the classics like pancakes, bacon, and eggs. They do have a wide variety, but the quality of anything other than a classic breakfast is inedible.
(2)Serena T.
The best Vegetarian Omelet. You cannot go wrong, especially today is Valentine's Day. The hash brown is as good. Our server is the best. My hubby says we can go back there again! Ha, we live in the north east side.
(5)Salvador A.
Food was so so customer service was yet to be desired. I don't want to sit next to someone who it not trying to get a fix. Waitress was more worried about their friend rather than their customers.
(2)Mike H.
A nice place if you stick to the Breakfast basics. Very Clean, Most of the Servers are excellent. I have eaten Breakfast there 3 to 4 days a week during the past three months and have gotten to know the Serving staff fairly well. Other than having a server for get me one time because she was to high to remember where I was seated my breakfast experiences were great. (She was fired and sent home). Today for breakfast I had one of my usual's the House Omelet minus Green peppers, Grits and Toast. It was served quickly and good as ever. Unfortunately I over heard a disagreement between two Servers, one being the owners Daughter. AS I was paying to leave I noticed a long time server ( 9 Yrs) leaving in tears. She was fired for voicing her opinion ( Which is the same opinion of most of the staff) about the owners daughter. AS I said I over heard the disagreement and as a business person the employee was fired unfairly. I do not think I can return.
(2)Dan W.
This place is your average pancake house with average pancakes. If you are looking for meals on a budget, this is the place for you. However, the wait staff has always been friendly and very helpful.
(3)Murphy H.
If you're not hungry don't go there, if you walk away hungry you didn't order anything to eat! The menu is loaded with good food whether it's breakfast food, lunch food or supper every time (with 1 exception) my wife and I have been there the food tasted good, there was plenty of it and at a reasonable price compared to all the other restaurants in the area! Last week my wife got the fried Grouper (2 big pieces), baked potato, tossed salad and a house vegetable, I broke down and got some food from my roots in growing up, a big bowl of "Ham and White Beans" with grill fried home fried style potatoes, plus a tossed salad and cornbread to go along with the beans, I have to admit it was a struggle trying to eat all that good food, I lost I just could not eat all that good food, I left 3/4's of the potatoes I just couldn't force myself to eat another bite. My wife was the same with her food, wonderfully good but too much. Then on top of that after we pushed the plates away the waitress come up to the table and asked us what kind of desert we wanted, it came with the meal so we got it to go, 2 nice pieces of "German Chocolate cake with Coconut Icing"! By the way the one exception was a "Gyro", the taste, it was just not to my liking had something to do with the generous helping of "cucumbers" on it, the one of few vegetables I detest but that's me. With the tip the 2 dinners (meat entree with 2 sides, + tossed salad & desert and sodas) for two it came to less than $30 including tip. And we couldn't eat it all! Will I go back, most definitely YES!

I really love this place for breakfast huge portions for a big man but dearrr lord are their kids size way over sizeeee. Plus the dinner food not all that but the coccunt cream.pie was the bomb
(3)Candi R.
No, No , No ! Awful ! I ordered the Greek lasagna after our waitress told me it was filled with feta cheese beef and spinach . I was given regular lasagna and asked where was the spinach and feta was and she said it doesn't look right it's Italian lasagna took it back to the kitchen came back and said the cook said it was Greek lasagna not sure what they were doing getting rid of old food maybe so I asked for a spinach bacon Swiss omelet instead it was more like scrambled eggs with some sort of gross hard weird cheese like velveeta not swiss My daughter ordered a hamburger and mashed potatoes which she didn't touch the potatoes were old dried up instant potatoes very gross ! My husband and older daughter both got fried shrimp and baked potatoes They barely touched it You get free dessert as well my daughter loves cake she chose chocolate cake and said it was gross Very low quality food not worth the 50 we gave them !

I never thought I'd find myself writing a review like this about a pancake house. But, here I am. We had been on the road all day and were desperately hungry and tired, and didn't want to cook after getting home, so we stopped in here on the way. I expected a Denny's knock off, but, boy, was I surprised. Nice atmosphere, the service was over the top good, and the food, while not gourmet, was exactly what we were looking for. I had a chopped steak that actually tasted like steak, and Holly had blackened tilapia that looked amazing, and she was a big fan. To top it off, they give free dessert with a meal, at least on Saturday nights. Yes, I'm a fan, and, yes, I'll be back.
(4)William C.
Service is alright and food is just fine. Pricing seemed high, 'til I realized how much food you get for your buck! I'd eat here again.
(3)Kristan W.
I've eaten here many times and I get the same thing every time and its pretty decent. Italian sausage skillet with pancakes. It's your typical diner fatty breakfast that's great for a Sunday afternoon. Some of the wait staff is more attentive than others, but food always comes out super fast.
(3)Jason B.
Freedom toast = check, freedom fries = check, awesome breakfast food = check. The is a greek owned pancake house (hence the over doing it on naming the food) and is a great alternative to your larger chain pancake houses such as Robert Evans, IHopity hop, and Mr. Dennys. We eat here every new years day, typically around 2 pm when we drag ourselves out of a drunken slumber to brave the bitter cold. They never have a problem seating our group of about 12-15 and are pleasant and quick service. The energetic owner likes to roam around making sure everything is going well. In my opinion, the food is also better than the chains. The secret ingredient is love.
(4)Mike L.
Even at the busiest times, Blueberry Hill turns over the tables quickly. Ample seating and staff. They have a good system in place. Seating wait hasn't been more than 15 minutes, and that was at peak hours on Sunday/Church crowd. The food is pretty par for the course. It's not going to blow you away but it's not bland. The selection and portions are large. Most times, a manager will ask if everything is fine with our meal and service. I have eaten here many times and would not hesitate to eat there again.
(3)Lea G.
Just a question: how do get grease in a salad? AND if by some reason you do, why serve it? Guess I shouldn't complain about a dirty table
(3)Mark W.
I've been here several times and it was always OK. This past time was definitely something to share. It took around 15 minutes to get a booth even though there were plenty of free tables...they could have at least sat us and brought us some coffee! After we placed our order the food arrived pretty quickly. There was only one problem though...the waitress brought out a bowl of soup with her thumb stuck half way into it. That's disgusting! Make that two problems...My breakfast skillet wasn't even close to being hot. It seemed like they just took it out of the fridge and heated it in a microwave for 30 seconds. No bueno. The coffee has always been bad, but it was at a new level. It pretty much tasted like hot dirty water--not a pleasant way to wake up in the morning. As if this wasn't enough to ruin the experience, we encountered one last problem. When we were ready to leave our check was nowhere to be found. Our waitress had been outside on a smoke break for 10 minutes so we went up front to pay. Nobody in the whole place had our ticket so we had to wait another 10 just to get a new one. Obviously it was a major let down--and I will definitely never go back. It's a shame too because it is a great location and has the potential to be a famous diner. They definitely have their work cut out for them though.
(2)Angie A.
An Independent Family owned Pancake house/Diner! As far as diner/breakfast joints go this one is gorgeous the entire north side of the restaurant is like a sun room, so obviously it's cheery & bright inside. Nice comfy attractive booths (which are unfortunately kind of a rarity in the restaurant world, why is that?) I had the Chef's Crepes, which were wonderful even the bites with no topping or filling were very flavorful. We will return as I found FOUR Manhattans on the menu!!! They have a chicken fried steak Manhattan that has my name written all over it. Many Greek choices sprinkled through out the traditional American Diner fare on the menu. A clean cheerful dinning room, prompt staff, and extensive reasonably varied menu = I've found a new Sunday brunch joint much closer to home, and that's a real good thing.
(4)Tim W.
Blueberry Hill is just right for what I want for breakfast. And if you're taking notes that would be a couple eggs over medium-WELL (don't give me those over-medium-runny-whites-on-the-edges things), a couple sausage links, hash browns and a couple pancakes. Well made, served quickly and not too expensive. Just right.
(3)greg h.
There is absolutely no better place to eat breakfast, I have found, in this city or any other. And breakfast is what I love. An example: My wife, two kids and I like to eat here. Youngest gets eggs & pancakes with bacon and a side of fresh blueberries, and orange juice. I get coffee, and a mexican omelette which comes with hash browns and pancakes (side note: virtually EVERYTHING comes with a side of TWO large pancakes). I add a bowl of grits. Other daughter gets a belgian waffle and hot chocolate (this one is worth 3x what it's priced), with a side of bacon. Wife gets 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 pancakes with OJ. All of this is about 38 dollars, AFTER tip and tax. An astonishingly good deal. Service is lightning fast. It generally is out in LESS than 5 minutes. Very open air, the wait staff is very friendly and they enjoy their work (very important for me to eat where the staff wants to be there). Their turtle pancakes are a sight to see. They take pride in their food, and it shows. Great breakfast food. Great price. Great atmosphere. Comfortable seating. What else could you ask for?
(5)Jen N.
This is the kind of restaurant I grew up with, and I'm glad that Indianapolis now has at least one. For any readers who are from NWI, this is like the Greek-owned restaurants we knew, like Jedi's Garden, The Wheel, etc. They have a huge breakfast menu with lots of different kinds of pancakes, skillets, omlettes, and even crepes. They also have a large lunch menu with most of the normal diner meals along with some Greek staples like the gyro. It appears to be a family owned place. The menu saddens me a bit, because of the "freedom toast" and "freedom fries" entries. I'm guessing they printed them back when there was some Iraq-related anti-French sentiment in the US, and since the owners are from outside the US they felt the need to convince the locals of their loyalties. (This is pure speculation on my part, I haven't asked.) So don't let that turn you off. They are pretty busy on weekend mornings, but we never have to wait long. Far less than at the nearby Bob Evans. If you are looking for a nice breakfast on the Eastside, check out Blueberry Hill.
(4)Dan C.
Why is there not a good, classic "Greek" diner like this closer to downtown? At one time there was at least an IHOPs! Now we have to settle for second-rate, overpriced Patachou and Le Peep, or last-resort Peppy Grill. Maybe they can be "incentivized" into opening another location in the long-closed Crawford's by Methodist, somewhere near IUPUI, or along Mass Ave - maybe the old Bazbeaux location (could have been a great fit in the old Agio space - but, yeah, we need ANOTHER BAR)? I've been lamenting the dearth of diners in Indy for nearly 20 years now. Blueberry Hill is worth the drive out east. I'd say it's a notch above Four Seasons, with noticeably higher quality ingredients. The owner is rightfully proud of the tasty ham on the Monte Cristo. The big surprise was the Ham and Beans (with cornbread and hash browns) - as good as any homemade Southern cooking (sorry Grandma).
(4)Shawna V.
Crepes, with sour cream and sour cherries. Delicious. I haven't tried anything else here yet because I love them so much. Also they have freedom fries and freedom toast. YaY Freedom, screw you frenchie. Why aren't the crepes freedom roll ups or something?
(3)Tiffany B.
Blueberry Hill is a great breakfast place on the east side. Since I'm a downtowner, I love places like Patachou, but parking over there is a mess and in the end, I think it's quicker to schlep to one of the burbs for breakfast. My b.f.f. and I hopped over here to find our breakfast thrill on Sunday and were seated immediately, even though it was 10:30am, which would never happen at one of the downtown spots. The food is really good--I had the pancakes and some bacon; JJ had strawberry crepes and one of the egg dishes. The waitstaff is fast & friendly and the owner, Nick couldn't be any sweeter; and is so friendly and accommodating and clearly loves what he does. I haven't been for lunch or dinner, but I'm sure it's swell also. Nick has a few awesome Greek recipes for the lunch and dinner crowd as well as the standard American fare. It's super easy to get there from downtown (or just the highway, for that matter)--70 East to 465 south, and the first exit is Washington. Turn left and it's on the right after you go under the highway. Easy-peasy, lemon-squeezy. And yes, I'm cheesy. Just one of those kind of days...
(4)Mike H.
I really like this place. It's close to my house. Plenty of seating for groups and the breakfast (all day) is wonderful. The other food is pretty good, too. I've always had great service an the staff is always very friendly. For a little over $20 plus tip, the two of us always leave well satisfied. No complaints.
(4)Emily U.
They really call them "freedom fries" here. I couldn't believe it. I had to order some. I went to Blueberry Hill with a huge group of colleagues for a pre-Halloween lunch (I guess this is some sort of tradition among my coworkers). They easily accommodated our enormous party and gave us great service. As I've mentioned before, I love diners. They are such a part of Chicagoland culture that I have keenly felt their relative scarcity in Indianapolis and Louisville the past two years. I couldn't have named one here besides Peppy Grill (a fine specimen) until I went to Blueberry Hill. Seriously, it felt like coming home. I had coffee and a grilled cheese on rye with freedom fries and a pickle on the side. I love the name--Blueberry Hill! The only reason they don't rate four stars is because I am afraid they may actually be serious about the freedom fries. But go here if you want your classic diner experience.
(3)Gary G.
Quick service. Our party of 12 was seated immediately on a Sunday at 10:00 am. Food was 4 star, very good for breakfast. Variety and large portions. Restaurant very clean and table service fantastic. Independent owners care about their business.
(4)Mike D.
A much cleaner and much more inviting environment separates Blueberry Hill from other pancake houses. I was greeted and seated immediately after entering. The energy in the restaurant was great. The staff was interacting with the customers as if many of them were friends. Nick, the owner, was eating at one of the tables and would get up and help the staff and check on the customers. I was pleasantly surprised by the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. I had the house omelet. The Greek inspiration for this omelet was a pleasant change from the normal omelets served in most breakfast places. Yes, they do call their fries "Freedom" fries. I personally appreciate this and would like to compliment Nick for it. I would definitely recommend Blueberry Hill to anyone.
(4)Ryan D.
I have eaten at Blueberry Hill semi-frequently since it opened. This place actually cooks a lot of food. You're not going to be served a selection of whatever they can bring off the frozen food truck. Their breakfasts are very good. I am a huge fan of their skillets, which include some variety of potatoes, eggs, cheese, and related toppings, all cooked up together in a small cast iron skillet - delicious. They also have excellent pancakes. I like that they have things like smoked sausage available on the breakfast menu and not just the standard bacon and sausage. Their lunch/dinner menu is also very good. They have a fantastic gyro plate. We ordered the beef vegetable soup and could see the cooks actually making the soup. My dad really likes their BBQ chicken and ribs. On top of all that, the service is always good and the pricing is very reasonable. Don't avoid this place just because it looks like a busted old Shoney's!
(4)Irvington O.
Diner food made from scratch. No Bob Evans or IHOP reheated entrees here! Super fast & friendly service. Homemade pies & desserts. Similar to Flapjacks on the Southside. But please, Blueberry, stop calling them "Freedom Fries"!! Oh, and free wifi.
(3)Keith B.
Not exceptional, but I would certainly go back. The staff was all very friendly... kept the refills coming and always seeing if I needed anything. If this was just a review on them it would be a higher rating. The food was average. I had some pancakes and an omelet (feta cheese, onions, ham), with a side of cinnamon-raisin toast, scrambled eggs and some peaches (sides were for the kid but I tasted them). The omelet was pretty good (4 stars) but the pancakes were "meh". They had a selection of different types of syrups (I only like maple if it is GOOD syrup, not the cheap stuff)... so that was a positive, but the blueberry syrup was just blue sugar syrup. Come on, don't name your restaurant Blueberry Hill if you don't even offer really blueberry syrup! Scrambled eggs were bland. Peaches were canned, not fresh. I would classify this place as a backup... somewhere to go if you just need an ok breakfast. I won't be recommend it to family and friends though.... needs a improvement on the quality of food served to get into recommendation range.
(3)Drew N.
Had a chance to try this place on Sat 5/12 for dinner. The place wasn't that crowded and our waitress was very nice and on the spot all the times. The food was okay, didn't knock my socks off but wasn't bad. The banana cream pie was so, so with no real bananas to be found. My friend orderd the stake and I had the Gyro platter. My big complaint comes from the delivery of the food like 2 minutes after our salads came out. I am big on pace when it comes to dinning out. If you get a soup or salad with the meal, then it needs to come out, you should be given time to eat it at a decent pace before the meal arrives and sits there and gets cold while you try to scarf down your salad. So...great service, food quality good, but pace of bringing it out needs HUGE improvement...
(3)Tim R.
If it's about the food, it's breakfast - what can go wrong? Located right next to the highway exit ramp. Clean, pleasant atmosphere. Coffee is good - a little weak but hot in a small enough mug to keep it that way. Omelette came out fluffy and well done as I asked. Skimpy with the filling of ham and cheese. Grits were hot with plenty of butter and not watery. Staff were WONDERFUL. Friendly, not hovering, quick with a refill and a pleasant chat. It was 6:15am - three tables with one person per table so they were eager to please. The lack of stars: 4 televisions all tuned to FoxNews. Some people like that, about half the population. Maybe it works in Indiana, but why roll the dice on half your potential return customers? I said something to my server, she shrugged - "That's Nick for ya". You can't get French Toast. It's Freedom Toast. It's been 10 years and you're still bitter? Same with Freedom Fries. Let it go dude. Just above the "Freedom Toast" are Belgium Waffles - You're OK with Brussels although they also opposed the invasion of Iraq. I'm new in town.... and I will NEVER go back. I have that freedom to choose where I spend my money. Overtipped the server, it's not her fault.
