I was here for a catered meeting, so I don't know if the food and service is representative of the norm, but what I ate was great! We had hot artichoke dip with tortilla chips and thin crust pizza, both of which were good. (I'm not a fan of cracker-like pizza crust, and maybe I was just hungry, but this one was delicious.) We had a very large group, and the restaurant was able to accommodate us in a private room with multiple tables. There was even a hookup for a laptop to show a PowerPoint presentation. It's a nice place to have a meeting, that's for sure.

I recently was interviewed by a local radio station about something I know a little bit about...breaded tenderloins...and they suggested Binkley's as the place to meet. Upon entering, I was struck by how open it was. It just seemed...comfortable. I REALLY like the atmosphere. It's hard to strike that balance between cozy and cramped, but Binkley's has done it perfectly. Our waiter was attentive and professional. When he saw we were conducting business, he did a great job of taking care of our needs without hovering over us. We both had the breaded tenderloin, and this was one fine tenderloin. Hand cut and breaded, it wasn't pounded out paper thin, but has a very nice texture. The meat was moist and tender. The breading was really good, but lacked that little something that pushed it to the outstanding category. The fries, though were AWESOME. It was a pleasant experience, the service was great, and the price was right. I'll certainly be back!
I went to Binkley's for the Hoosier Pork Tenderloin--but the restaurant is actually pretty solid all around. They have a nice interior (a fireplace is always a plus) and the wait staff is very helpful. There is a pretty full menu of mostly american traditional fare and decent beer selection. The tenderloin was spot on--not huge like the aristocrat but pretty juicy and the crust wasn't overly oily. The bun was also pretty good. The only thing that wasn't great was the key lime pie for dessert. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, but it didn't taste as if it were made there...

Have been visiting Binkleys for years, always great service and food. Ideal location just south of Broad Ripple ave. Parking can be a struggle behind the building. Walk in the rear door, there is a hostess station, a bar area directly in front of you (on the north side), large eating area and private dining room on the south side. Outdoor seating area with several high top tables along College ave. Mixed crowd, some young, some old, but overall skews toward 30's/40's. Bar area contains several high top tables and a horseshoe shaped bar. Great bartender service and full menu available.

Binkleys is a great choice for hanging out with a group of friends, grabbing drinks after work, or a casual date. They do not have an incredibly unique menu, but they do offer a wide variety of food options. That being said; they do have truffle fries; don't pass up them up. ** If you are getting a burger or dish with fries, ask to upgrade to the truffle fries. DELICIOUS. Not all barbecue chicken pizzas are made equal. I am generally not a fan: but Binkleys does it right. Go for the thin crust, that's their specialty. Type A? Their pulled pork nachos are made for you. Yes, I did just recommend nachos. They come to you neatly organized; I believe in two rows of 5 or 6. Neatly laid out and perfectly sorted with all the fixings perfectly in place. They also have parking available behind the restaurant (if you are lucky enough to grab a spot!)

After a couple of tries at making it to Binkley's Kitchen & Bar, I think I finally figured out the trick for arriving at a time when one can get a decent parking spot - arrive at the earliest part of the dinner hour and everything should work out fine. While parking may not be a big issue for many of you, it's always a serious concern for someone in a wheelchair. This is especially true when the driver is a wheelchair user. It's absolutely essential to get a spot that allows for easy access in/out of my car. Truthfully, the Binkley's parking lot kind of sucks. It has one, yes one, accessible parking spot and it's most certainly NOT ADA compliant even if it is right next to the restaurant's rear entrance. There are a couple of "end" spots that could potentially work, but if you arrive in the middle of a meal you'll likely struggle to find a spot as I have twice. Strangely enough, the rest of the restaurant is remarkably accessible including the layout, table design, and restrooms. There is one area that utilizes higher tables, but it's a small area and there's plenty of other options. One of the other Yelpers described Binkley's as sort of an upscale Applebee's, a description that seems a little harsh yet isn't too far removed from the truth. While Binkley's tends to have dining options that you would absolutely never find at Applebee's, like swordfish on the menu tonight, for the most part it's a nice middle-of-the-road establishment between casual and fine dining. You could definitely spend a pretty penny here, but you can also easily eat for under $15. They have options ranging from burgers to pizza to pasta to steaks to a few "meal" options that lean more toward the fine dining arena. I opted for a burger, well done, with American cheese along with fries as a side (they have other side options) and my usual unsweetened iced tea. You can upgrade to cup of soup/salad for $1.99 and they also have a gluten free bun option for an extra $1.99. The burger was delivered as ordered with a few side items (lettuce, tomato, pickle). The burger is an ample 1/2 pound patty, though I have to admit that it didn't really "feel" like 1/2 pound. However, it was a good sandwich. The bun was rather ordinary and slightly detracted from the overall taste. The french fries were surprisingly abundant. They are nicely browned, thinner, and very tasty. They had a terrific texture to them. While the order was large, I hadn't eaten all day and had no trouble finishing the meal. The unsweetened iced tea was tasty and I was offered a single refill. I did get the feeling if I'd hung out a bit longer that I would have been offered another. Binkley's offers outside dining during weather-appropriate times. The decor is contemporary yet casual. I arrived at a time with only a couple parties present and was told "pick a table." I did, um, "not that one it's reserved." Out of fairness, she was VERY nice about it. As I'm both indecisive and a Libra, I finally told her to pick and I was happy with the four-top she chose. Our server, Damien, was attentive and friendly throughout our time at the restaurant. It wasn't quite the service that would make me think "Oh, I can't wait to go back," but he was friendly, helpful, and proficient. Binkley's loses one star for the challenging parking situation that could prove really challenging for those with mobility issues. I saw quite a few older folks go in and the neighborhood Binkley's is in tends to skew toward both up-and-coming families and older folks. After initially giving Binkley's a 3-Star rating, a good night's sleep made me realize that I really did enjoy the place's atmosphere, food, and service. While I'd be more comfortable with a 3.5 rating, that's not an option and the 3-star rating feels a bit low for what was an enjoyable experience overall. It seems like you have to enter this experience with reasonable expectations, because this is a restaurant that weaves together casual with some traits usually found in finer dining. So be it. So, the morning after my initial review I'm editing it to elevate Binkley's from a three to a four-star rating.

Binkleys is a solid choice. A variety of food options that are pretty typical restaurant food. I've always had good service and good food, though it's not out of this world delicious. I like their personal pan sized pizzas. Also great for groups!

The conundrum: Great service, atmosphere and location. Terrible food. I've been to Binkley's more than five times and have ordered something different off the menu each time I've gone, but unfortunately I've never had a satisfying entree. From a steak salad where the steak was searing hot and wilted all of the lettuce, to a tortilla soup that was ice cold not once, but after the server took it back to presumably microwave it. I want to like this place, I really do. I just wish the food was as good as the service.

A fun, laid back place that always delivers consistently good food and has a wide variety of beer and wine. Very friendly service. I like the burgers and appreciate that you can substitute bison if you'd like. The village pizza is a nice thin-crust option. It can get crowded, especially on weekends and before Butler basketball games. They do take reservations and you can do it via open table if you'd like. Recommended and always enjoyable. There are rotating drink specials on each night, including Martinis on one weekday. Enjoy!

Not impressed. I think the highlight of the meal was that they had house wine for maybe around $5.50. I ordered the beer cheese and pretzel and the pesto tortellini. The beer cheese tasted exactly like a Velveeta cheese and beer dip that I've made at home before. That's basically all there is to that recipe, Velveeta cheese melted with a little beer added. Don't get me wrong - it tasted good, but it wasn't worth going out for. The pesto tortellini came served with chicken even though I didn't order it with chicken. It took me a while to even flag down our waiter to let him know there was an issue. He brought a new plate without chicken and apologized, blaming the kitchen, but didn't comp anything or seem to realize that it's a big deal to serve meat accidentally to a vegetarian. Then, when I finally got to eat, the pesto tortellini mostly just tasted like cream. There was very little basil in the pesto. Evidently, this is a "Binkley's Favorite". If this is the best they've got, it's not very good. My friend and I stayed a while and talked and drank. i felt like the waiter was trying to rush us out even though there was no one waiting. When I said thanks to him as we left, he didn't even respond or look up. Maybe he didn't hear me, but he just started clearing our glasses away. Another thing I noticed was that the waiter explained the beer specials to a table of two men, but failed to do the same for my girl friend and me. I guess he assumed that women don't drink beer. Newsflash: many women drink beer. There are plenty of better options in Broad Ripple, don't waste your time here. Or just sit at the bar and ask what the beer specials are...

Binkleys is one of those places that gets a solid "good" from me. Nothing special, but serves its purpose. It's my go to spot when I can't decide on what I want for dinner - they have a little bit of everything. I usually order the Strawberry Chicken salad and it's definitely good (don't take one of the waitress' recommendations and get the chicken blackened, ew) but have also enjoyed several burgers, wraps and even some pasta. None of the food blows me away but its always consistent and the staff is friendly so I'll keep coming back.

So we came for beer and appetizers. We've been not so impressed before so we thought we go small. We had the nachos and chicken fingers. The nachos we not crisp and very soggy. Still good but not after the cheese cooled. The chicken tenders were really good. Not greasy! Will try dinner another night but staff was helpful and server was attentive. They did have good drink specials! It's worth a drink

Love their drink specials throughout the week. The food is decent for American bar/pub food. It is pretty easy to find something for every kind of eater. Their outside patio in the warmer months is fabulous. I do wish they would change up their menu a bit but that's not their jam. Friendly bartenders as well.

We don't come here often because the price is but high for us, but I've never been disappointed by a meal here. I usually like to order different things when I return to the same restaurant multiple times, but once I tasted their stuffed chicken with mushrooms I was hooked. And get this... I hate mushrooms. The sauce they use on it is just that good. My boyfriend has had several of their fish dishes which have also been good. I like that they usually have different specials in the menu as well. Their mixed drinks are a bit overpriced, so we usually just stick with beer or wine. Overall, I really like Binkleys when my boyfriend and I want to go out for something a little special, rather than our regular cheap bar joints.

The wait was longer than we were told, granted we were a big group (13 in our party!) but the wait was sorta worth it. The food was good but the service was excellent! (Thanks to Chris!) I had the Binkley Burger (it was ok) and my daughter had the kids pizza (personal size was a little bit smaller to my preference) and so she decided to try their Mac and Cheese (yummy!) Overall, it was a good first experience.

My wife and I ate dinner there. I ordered the NY strip when the steak finally came it was not worth the wait. I once had a steak like this one at the waffle house years ago. The service was marginal at best. The meal was not worth the bill thats for sure.

We finally got to try Binkley's after numerous attempts at dinner time and never being able to find a parking space! Eating in Broad Ripple can be a big, fat hassle at times because of parking. Binkley's has a parking lot, but it's usually filled at meal time. Take a chance, you might get lucky. The restaurant is nice and spacious, really like the fireplace. Our waiter was quick and helpful, nice fella. I had the tenderloin sandwich, it was great. Not as ridiculously giant as a lot of other tenderloins from local eateries. They have Coke products- yay!

Nice outdoor patio, quiet bar area- great for meetings. Nice beer selection, and mondays are $2 off pints. Food review- some of my favorites include the bbq chicken salad, tenderloin, crab cakes. And the bbq pork nachos are by far a favorite appetizer. Service is sometimes lacking. However, i frequent this place- both sit down and also carryout. I will continue coming back- the food is great and the atmosphere is solid as well.

Always quick, always consistent. I always know I'm not going to have a stellar experience but it will never be terrible either. I really like the fireplace, I like the decor. Service is usually ok. We tend to stop here on our way north to a concert at The Vogue or when we're STARVING and want to be seated and with food in front of our faces quickly. We spent $10 on an appetizer: a bowl of beer cheese and 2 pretzel buns that had been toasted. You read that right...it's not even a soft pretzel. It's a BUN with a pretzel surface that's been diced up into cubes. Rip off. The cheese is tasty, but it's a rip off...especially when they could be getting their pretzels from Taste of Philly. The side plates were filthy when they arrived and had crusted ketchup all over them. Nice attention to detail. His breaded tenderloin was more like a fried pork chop...thick, and difficult to cut with a butter knife. My gnocchi & shrimp with browned butter & sage sauce had the tails still on the shrimp...super messy to remove in all that sauce. For $19 I expected more than 4-5 small-ish shrimp. Flavor was good all around. The weirdest part of the meal was when I subbed steamed broccoli for my salad. She brought the broccoli out with the appetizer instead of with the entree. Who would have their side (besides soup or a cold item) brought out before their meal? Another visit I ordered pasta and the sauce had been made with VINEGAR instead of white wine. I gagged when I started eating it. My date spit his taste out. The server told me, "Oh...that's just the flavor of the whole wheat pasta...some people don't like it." However, they replaced the dish with something different and the new one was fantastic. I used to really like their crab cake, the rolled up chicken breast with prosciutto, cheese, and basil, and the lightly fried calamari with spicy-sweet sauce...but none of those are on the menu now. I've brought my family here in the past, we all had a good meal. It's a decent beer selection and they have nice seasonal cocktails. Binkley's delivered exactly what we were expecting...a fast meal that was neither awful nor awesome.

meh. The atmosphere is nice, and so is the service, but the food is just ok. To be totally fair, I had the turkey avocado BLT wrap and that's it, so it's possible that it was just ok and everything else is really good... so maybe just don't bother with that wrap. I'll definitely try it for lunch again, just based on the atmosphere. It's low key and slightly dark, which is relaxing.

Binkleys was a convenient location for an event at Clowes. We were able to take advantage of the wine special and it is a good location for happy hour social meetings. The drink specials change daily so pick your night based on your preference. The server was nice. We ordered the Strawberry Chicken Salad based on the server's recommendation. Excellent choice. I ordered the 6 oz Sirloin with blue cheese crust. The steak was prepared fine but the blue cheese topping was forgotten so they took back to add. It didn't get hot enough to add anything to the steak and ended up being scraped off. The steak was nicely prepared so will skip it next time. Bonus: Open Table reservation vs waiting for 20 mins as most others nearby expect. If you are wanting a group to meet and sit down I'd recommend this spot.

well, I really wanted to like Binkleys. I met up with some friends for dinner here. They had been here for a couple hours and had some drinks. I showed up and waited 15 minutes before a waitress ever came over. Ordered 3 different beers, they didn't have, my brother in law ordered one for me that he knew they had. Another 5 minutes later before it showed up. We ordered the pretzel pieces with cheese, the cheese was really runny, not good. Then a hald hour or so later, when our waitress came back around, we ordered pork nachos, these were good, but they were very greasy, literally dripping with grease. I was so hungry at this point, I just ate some and shut up, lol. Maybe I will give them another chance ?

I had the asian salad. It was topped with some type of chewy, overcooked beef strips. The fried chicken and tenderloins ordered by others looked good. I guess this might be a place for you if you like fried food that isn't very creative. The beer selection was okay. The service was pretty good. Wow, this is a very boring review that I just wrote, but this place is just really that uninspiring.

Adding some new info. to my old: I tried their BBQ ribs and mac & cheese for the FIRST TIME. --really really good! Ribs were tender and cooked just right. The sauce was a little sweet but not too much. They weren't really smoky which is my choice. The mac & cheese was very creamy and a good size portion. Hubster had the BBQ sandwich (large portion) & sweet potato ff again. -Yum Yum!

Binkleys is a fun place to eat in Broad Ripple. I've enjoyed every meal I've had there (tenderloin, salads, burgers usually) and the atmosphere is laid back. The design is setup so that you can easily people watch from wherever you're at. Decent place for a date too. Overall, if you're not sure where to eat, give Binkleys a try. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Definitely a meh ... fish tacos were just ok with way too much tortilla and toppings. Waitress was very disengaged once she learned we weren't ordering alcohol. Way better places in the neighborhood.

You know what? Binkley's is an awesome spot. As anyone who reads my reviews can tell you, I can be harshly critical; but, I can't find much wrong with Binkley's. Usually, in reviews, I leave the worst for last, but this time, I'm just going to criticize first. Binkley's has a large parking lot for the area of town in which it sits; however, the lot clearly isn't big enough. I practically parked in someone's yard during my last dining experience. However, a crowded parking lot says a lot about a restaurant. When is the last time you had trouble parking at Applebee's? Now that the "bad" is out of the way, it's time for the good stuff. Binkley's is full of the good stuff. It is a warm, homey establishment, especially in the winter. It has the feel of a down-home neighborhood eatery, but with a bit more class and panache. The staff is always extra-special friendly, and they cater to the customer's every want and need. More than being friendly and delivering great service, they treat the diner, well, as a homey establishment should: almost like family. If I ate there on a more regular basis, I'm confident that they would remember my first and last name--at the very least. The Americana-style menu at Binkley's is large and impressive--as are the portion sizes. Whether you are looking for a burger, cold sandwich, pasta, soup, or salad, they serve it. I am particularly fond of their burgers, especially since bison meat can be substituted for beef at a nominal charge. I've likewise been very satisfied with pasta dishes and salads that I have ordered in the past. Binkley's also has a full bar, and has a wide selection of beer, wines, and spirits. The bar always carries locally brewed beer, and the service staff is quick to boast about the wide array. With their large menu of appetizers, Binkley's is a great place to watch a game, or to have a pint with your mates. The prices at Binkley's are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of food that is served. While they do offer some more expensive entrees (like steaks and salmon), they do not vastly exceed the $20.00 range. However, it is entirely possible to have a meal that is equal in price to one that you would have at an inferior restaurant--like Applebee's or T.G.I. Friday's. You'll never remember a meal at a lousy chain restaurant, but you're not likely to forget the one you had a Binkley's.

How do you feel about squid? Binkley's is a great spot in the Broad Ripple area. Located on the corner of Kessler and College, it's perfectly located to catch traffic from both streets and is easily visible and accessible. Parking in the rear, however, is slightly limited so you may have to park down the block and walk. No worries, this place is well worth the five minutes of exercise. My favorite Binkley's menu item, by far, is the calamari. It's perfectly fried and the dipping sauce is divine. The truffle fries aren't bad either (by which i mean awesome!). Binkley's is the perfect place to hang out with friends and is a safe bet for a first date. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual and you'll feel right at home. And if things don't go well...the bar is open! Enjoy!

I love it here, very good for a casual meal or drinks and an appetizer. The beer cheese pretzel bites are my favorite. Some of their food isn't mind blowing, but it has such a pleasant, casual atmosphere inside with a really nice staff. Great location, with parking in the back. This is the type of place you can come to all the time- whether with friends, a date, or with your parents.

Binkleys was never anything special, and it's still a terrific space, but with so many much more interesting casual eateries around Indy now (Shoefly Public House particularly approaches the varied and casual menu with much more flair), I can't imagine why anyone eats Binkleys' current offerings. (Nearby, similar and better: Union Jack, Twenty Tap, Fat Dan's, Room Four, 10-01, Three Wise Men, Northside Social; nearby, similar and about the same: the Aristocrat.) But the place is extremely popular. Go figure. Servers are pretty unpolished and service (as before) can be spotty, but the menu is nicely varied as is typical for this kind of Cheesecake Factory Lite. That is not a bad thing -- lots of stuff on the menu sounds good -- but the food just doesn't deliver. The salads are made with the most basic of lettuces, which could be OK, but there's nothing interesting added to that basis lettuce. The Caesar salad is particularly wan. Every pasta looks particularly unappetizing: the ziti is dry and the tortellini (frozen?) is wet. The macaroni and cheese is incredibly bland -- couldn't they add some mustard or hot sauce? The "pulled pork" is not pulled at all but kind of slow cooked -- no crust, no chew. The roasted turkey and avocado BLT is an undistinguished wrap. You're probably safe with the burgers, the breaded pork tenderloin and the onion rings, but can't you get those almost anywhere and be happy? (And the burgers at Twenty Tap, Fat Dan's and 10-01 are better.) Did the food used to be better or were there just fewer competitors before? I don't know, but if Binkleys could step up its game, it could be a cool place. I doubt they will, though, because it's still popular. Why mess up a good thing?

We went here for lunch around the holidays and they were very busy which might have affected the service. The service was a bit slow, but the food was very good. We had the grilled pork tenderloin sandwich and the spinach and mushroom panini. Both sandwiches were very good. The sweet potato waffle fries were great. The roaring fire in the fireplace was nice on a cold day.

Perfect neighborhood restaurant for a great meal, great atmosphere (I always sit in the bar) and solid service. I especially love the patio and open air bar in the summertime, or grabbing a spot near the fireplace in the winter. I've always had a great meal and fantastic drinks.

I went to Binkley's for this first time on my birthday with my family, which was a Friday night. We had a reservation and it only took about 5 minutes to get seated. The wait staff was friendly and thorough with food explanations and options. I got a steak, which was cooked perfectly and very tender. The environment was nice, a little noisy, but not too bad. I had a nice birthday dinner!

I went in to Binkley's tonight and I sit in the bar. It is a very nice bar and a cool atmosphere. I was greeted by a bartender and she told me that her name was Holly. Gave me a drink menu and then another gentleman who was behind the bar gave me a food menu. I ordered a water which I received promptly while I decided what alcoholic drink that I wanted to have. It was all going good up until that point. But after that I was just completely ignored. I have no idea why. Never came back over to me even after I put both of the menus down. Helped the people next to me but just ignored me. This was a place that I would go to about once a month. Had not been to the bar for a long time as I usually sit at a table away from the bar or general dining area, and I guess that was a good thing. It will be a while before I go back. If I go back.

My wife and I swung in here before the chamber orchestra performance on Butler's campus. Binkley's has great beers. They have some strong local brews and an occasional hard to find beer. We were in a hurry so we got soup and entrees. The soup was nice but nothing outstanding. I got the slider appetizer, and they were perfectly done mini burgers. So often when you order a slider they show up overdone, so it was great to see them come to me perfectly cooked. My meal was good but my wife's meal was excellent. My wife got a pesto gnocchi and it was incredible. The gnocchi was tender without being too gluey. The sauce was delicious. Pesto was nice a sweet with really big flavors. It was an outstanding dish.

Went to Binkley's to celebrate my birthday with friends and had the worst dining experience. My friend and I had always enjoyed the coffee crusted steak but this time when we asked for the steak medium it came out well done and burnt - Sent it back and it took so long for them to bring it out the other 2 people at our table were done eating. And then when they brought back the steak mine was so full of gristle I couldn't chew it and it was burnt-AGAIN! We were sitting outside and it got so dark we had to ask the waitress to turn on the lights! Not a good birthday experience - they did comp my meal (although I had a birthday coupon for a free meal) and offered me dessert. This place seems to be very inconsistent on the quality of their food - I won't be back!

I have been here several times and have been satisfied with each visit. There isn't anything overwhelming about Binkleys but it has good food and a nice atmosphere. It is a great value for the price point. If you haven't been you should definitely give it a try!

Checked out Binkley's for the first time recently. A friend wanted a place that took reservations. We went at 7pm on a Friday evening and really didn't even need the reservations. Overall the experience was average. I had the pork chops with bourbon glaze and onion straws. It was pretty tasty and the portion size was good. I'd go back again if I need a place that takes reservations

I love Binkley's. It's my go to spot when I want a quick dinner date or a meal out without dealing with Broad Ripple Village. The food is great. I'm always happy with what I order, and my friends enjoy their food as well. My parents raved about the tenderloin sandwiches last time I took them here. I usually sit in the bar, because I don't want to wait for a table to open up. The bar and restaurant are like two completely different establishments. The service is pretty terrible in both, hence the 4 stars. I seem to always have to ask for refills, and I know if I go I'll be waiting a long time for service. Parking is trouble as well. The lot simply isn't big enough, and I've had to park down the street a few times. All in all: it is worth the bad service and insufficient parking to me. I love their food, and the outdoor dining will be much utilized this summer!

My friend and I just had an awesome time at Binkley's tonight. Our waitress, Holly, was friendly and attentive. We were greeted promptly at the door. I ordered the Pulled Pork Nachos and they were great - the best nachos I have had in a long time. They have a HUGE wine and beer selection, too, so it was hard to choose. I will definitely go back!

I've been here probably 20-30 times at least and ordered take out about as many. They're fairly consistent, but suffer from some odd staffing on occasion. I feel they deserve 3.5 stars but since I can't do that I'm rounding down as a 4 isn't deserved. I generally get okay service, and the food seems consistently decent /fresh and tasty barring one bad experience with the fish tacos and one bowl of the saddest a$$ "fresh fruit" I've seem in a lifetime. It was at least two days past it's pitch date. I'll let the fish tacos slide... Ocean fish in Indy is an uphill battle because hey, we're landlocked. Here's my main problem. Ordering for carry out. I'm not sure what's going on here, but whoever is taking these calls knows virtually nothing of the menu, won't tell you about their daily specials, and don't seem to listen well. We just had a 5 minute back and forth over whether something was a chicken dish or a sandwich. It came down to me asking her to literally read me the chicken dishes. When I tell her that I want the stuffed chicken DISH the reply "so you want the stuffed chicken sandwich"?!?! We went through this honestly 3 or 4 times. I want the dish. "So you want it off the sandwich"?!?! Holy lord, lady. I finally asked her to open a menu and asked. Under chicken dishes is there a stuffed chicken dish there? "Yes". Okay. That's the one. "But the website has changed and..." Please. Stop. Listen. The epidemic of people trying to predict what's coming out of a person's mouth next instead of just listening has reached critical mass. Stop and listen. Then if unclear interject and clarify. Don't just keep jabbering while someone is clearly and audibly explaining what they would like from you. Enough. You get the idea. For whatever reason it's like this every time an order is called in. Go and eat in and it's generally all good. Order and 50% of the time my orders have been utterly screwed up without exaggeration. Every other order. It's a bit mind boggling. Hope they figure it out some day.

The best thing I had to eat was the saltine crackers that came with my soup. Soup was super watered down and salty, the carrots in the salad had a weird after taste, and the mashed potatoes were incredibly mediocre. I have never sent food back in my life but the fish was that bad. The server did remove it from our bill. The plus, generous wine pour

This is way out of our usual path, but we were taking Grandpa out to celebrate his birthday and wanted to go a more exciting neighborhood than he's used to :) It was super easy to get a primetime reservation on a Saturday. We were seated in their large group room that is used for business lunches, etc. We thought it might be a quieter alternative than the rest of the restaurant and bar, but it turned out to be just as loud. Also, a weird observation--almost every single table in this room was off balance. Our waiter folded up napkins to put under table legs several times. Time to get some new furniture? People in our group had ribs, filet, pulled pork, and the pesto tortellini. Everyone seemed pretty pleased with their meals. The ribs and filet were eaten with no complaints. The BBQ sauce was great, but the pulled pork itself was meh. The pesto was creamy, but the tortellini left a little to be desired. Sides were coleslaw (high compliments), salad (very carrot heavy?), and onion rings (not great). We don't have anything against it, but we probably wouldn't tell all of our friends about it either.

We will Definitely will be coming back!! The jalapeño burger was delicious ! It was cooked perfectly and all the veggies on it were fresh. I recommend the sweet potato waffle fries I was the only one at my table to get them and everyone else was picking off my plate because they got regular French fries.

Stopped in during chowdown midtown. The nachos appetizer was delicious, but the hummus was really odd. Not bad, it just didn't taste like traditional hummus. We all had burgers, and they were nice enough to allow bison substitution even though the menu says no substitutions. Overall a great meal.

Binkley's is a local casual American-type restaurant-bar that offers a range of classic dishes from creative salads, unique pasta dishes, and the home-grown pork tenderloin sandwich - plus so much more. The price is comparable with other American chains, but seems to have a bit more variety and quality from the menu. The service is somewhat lacking; not the speediest, but not the worst I've ever experienced - not by a long shot. The dinning area can also get a bit noisy, sometimes it's more like bar atmosphere than a restaurant. (which is not always a bad thing!) When I feel like some local American fare, I'm glad Binkley's is just down the road!

Just spent a nice evening at Binkley's - a lot of good mixed in with some "meah" so I'll give up 4-stars, but not a convincing 4-star.... The atmosphere is convivial and the menu is several steps above the average bar menu. Among my group of 4 we tried the grilled salmon, the teriyaki tilapia, the grouper special and the BBQ chicken chopped salad. The salmon was a bit overlooked and had too much BBQ sauce (the menu said chipotle glaze). The salad was pleasant, the guacamole was a nice touch, but nothing special. The grouper and the tilapia were winners. Our waitress was a little slow at the outset but finished up well enough. On the whole, good value and good (just not stunning) food. After dinner we moved to a table in the bar to catch the second half of the Butler - Xavier game - which was a lot of fun, despite the (I'll just say it) somewhat surely waitress (don't think she was too excited when we told her that we were just doing coffee and dessert). In any event, the berry crumble was simple but delicious. Ask for it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I rate this a " go" - and I'll go back - but I'll take the slow train with a lot of stops at other restaurants along the way, but I will definitely go back!

Good spot for a quick drink, casual atmosphere and reasonable drink prices. Stopped in on a Thursday and was surprised to find $5 martini prices. Haven't tried the food, overall good atmosphere, however a bit dark inside and out. Large patio however, is covered so kind of defeats the purpose of outside seating. Also, parking is a bit easier here compared to some spots off College, rear parking available.

Perfectly fine neighborhood joint with some pretty good bar food---and onion rings that are usually out of this world. Once or twice they were served cold (I don't mean room temp; I mean cold. As though they just grabbed them out of the fridge and forgot to reheat.). Not too surprising because this place can get VERY busy and the noise level is commensurately impossible to talk over. Not recommended for first dates or anything resembling romance; fun for a group of friends out for a night of carousing and drinking (and yelling).

had the Fish tacos and red sangria for lunch. Service was stellar and the food was amazing. I would go back the next time I am in Indy for sure.

I've been to Binkley's half a dozen times and I have to, grudgingly, say it fills a particular role quite well. Need a quiet place for an afternoon client meeting? Binkley's is quiet, has a nice bar and a decent appetizer menu. Need a restaurant for entertaining family guests? B's menu is varied but no too serious or expensive. Power gone out at home? B's is cozy. Service is okay, food is okay. A neighborhood place with a light touch of swank.

I had high hopes for Binkley's considering the outside appearance and the expansive menu -- and my dad's recollection of dining here when it was known as the Pawn Shoppe Pub. The inside is pretty swift-looking -- lots of dark wood, low light, a quiet ambiance (plus a nice-looking larger room off the main restaurant which the menu advertised could be reserved for large outings) -- and you can tell a lot of hard work has been put in to update the place as a whole. Unfortunately, looks weren't everything here. The lunchtime dining experience was simply average. Our waiter seemed 'out of it' and had two orders (out of four) wrong -- despite having to ask twice for each person to re-state their order. My dad ordered the barbeque chopped chicken salad and received the Cobb salad and my fiance received green peppers instead of green onions on her pizza. I get the mix-up from green onions to green peppers, but how do you mess up 'barbeque chop chicken' to 'Cobb'? I tried the Turkey & Artichoke panini and my aunt sampled the Deluxe Grilled Cheese panini. The turkey & artichoke was tasty but it was overstuffed with 'chokes -- it literally fell apart. I was intrigued by the herb cream cheese spread but couldn't taste it due to the overpowering artichoke (the juices also made the pressed sandwich a bit soggy). My aunt enjoyed the grilled cheese, which was perfectly prepared and looked...cheesy, but really, how hard is it to mess up grilled cheese? Despite receiving the wrong order, my dad thought the Cobb salad was tasty. Looking back, we should have made a fuss -- I'm sure the bbq salad would have been better. I sampled the pizza and it was solid -- good tasting cheese + ham on a thin crust; the green peppers had some snap to them. The side dishes weren't much to write home about; I'm pretty sure my 'fresh fruit' dish wasn't as fresh as advertised. Despite the waiter being 'out of it,' he was quick with drink refills and generally friendly. As I review the dinner menu online (not available since we had lunch) while writing this review and while there are a few items not available at lunch, it would not be enough to make me return to Binkley's, though they DO seem to have a fascination with this herb cream cheese. While Binkley's is a HUGE step above any chain restaurant you'll find in the Indianapolis area, the fact remains that even with frequent visits to my hometown, there are so many other places I'd rather visit for lunch.

Loved Binkley's! I had the Bourbon Glazed chops and my husband had a smokehouse burger with truffle fries. Very fresh ingredients and despite it being pretty packed in there, we didn't wait long for our food at all and were in and out in an hour! We drove all the way down from Hamilton County to eat there. Thanks for rocking!

Great place. Very good service. Attended a reunion event here. The place and their servers did a good job, very hospitable. Loved the food! They have the most amazing stuffed butter chicken ever! It tasted like Indian butter chicken!

Not impressed at all. Went here the other night at 9pm and figured that being it's Broad Ripple, the place would be hopping, it wasn't there were maybe 4 tables taken in the entire restaurant. There was no one there to greet us at the door and the staff wasn't warm or inviting, not even a smile from the server who sat us. They just seemed like a bunch of college kids who showed up to get a paycheck and didn't care. Menus seemed very old and shoved into plastic holders. Honestly it seemed like at one time the menu paper had gotten wet then was shoved into the holders. Pretty small menu, I would assume the bar side does much better and the sale of booze is what keeps this place going. My burger was just ok, didn't have much flavor. The Mac and cheese tasted like easy mac or like it was made in the microwave and our waiter was kind of weird. Also, we ordered calamari and it didn't come with any kind of sauce. I've worked in restaurants and have never ever seen squid served with no sauce, so we asked for Marinara, which came out luke warm and then they charged us for it. For 2 beers, 2 burgers, and an appetizer for 2 people, it was soooo Not worth $43. This place is very overpriced for the service and quality of food that you get. It honestly felt like I was in Kitchen Nightmares. This place needs some serious help and potential a full staff and menu makeover. Especially after eating at places like Delicia, Flatwater, 10 01, and Brother's right down the road and having a great experience at those places and tasting the quality of how fresh their food is, I really don't see how this place can stay in business.

Great place for a quick lunch, esp. If you want to avoid the Broad Ripple Ave crowds. I love the pizzas there! Love'em. I recommend them. Lots. I have always had good service and prompt as well. They tend to have a excellent selection of beers on tap, which I also love. It's only 5 blocks from my house, I love that too. I prefer the bar area to the main dining room, but I recommend sitting outside if the weather is nice. All in all, give them a try for Broad Ripple feel and great pizza.

When they first opened I was less then impressed with the atmosphere the service and the food. I stayed away for years after my first experience there. I have since gone back a couple of times. I have got to say much improved. The food has taste and it has really been good. Each time back we have gotten the same server ( luck of the draw ) and she could not be better. Very friendly, refills on the spot, there when you need something but does not hover. We ended up there tonight after leaving Aristocrats. At Aristocrats we were quoted 30 minute wait at 8:30pm. After waiting 50 minutes. We left at 9:20 ad went to Binkleys. Although also very busy they had a table for two available. Thank you Binkleys.

Classy neighborhood bar with great food and drinks. Weekly drink specials are reasonable. Plenty of micro brews on tap. The menu often has seasonal food specials. The outdoor patio is a great place to have dinner or drinks.

This is a great neighborhood restaurant and bar. We go often and have never had a bad experience. The food is fairly priced and consistent from visit to visit. I definitely recommend the Red Pepper Chicken pasta - it's simply delicious.

I came here again last night with a friend hoping to up the star level...not to be. I ordered the fish and chips and the portion size was shockingly small...for the price. Just two small pieces of fish, a tiny handful of fries and the sides that were offered were almost all different types of potatoes...WTF?! I ended up ordering the onion rings as my side item. I had expected the usual serving size so that I could take half back for lunch today. However, the onion rings WERE very good...probably the best part. The wine we had was decent, my friend had the House Chardonnay and I had a Malbec. Since it was such a nice evening, we sat out on the patio. The plus side is that it wasn't stuffy...the minus side is that our waitress tended to ignore us...and the place wasn't really all that crowded inside until a pub crawl bus showed up, but they only stuck around for about 30 minutes, so that really wasn't an excuse. My hiking club likes to come here after our Monday evening hikes, but I think they should find a new haunt.

Binkley's gets three stars for only three reasons: easy parking, nice atmosphere and good drinks. If we were going by food alone they'd be a 2 max, maybe 1.5. It's really disappointing every time we give them a shot for lunch or dinner but if we are just meeting up for a drink then it's more than adequate. The menu looks fine but when the food comes out it looks/tastes like sub-par bar food-which doesn't match up with the exterior or the interior of this place. Think we're officially done trying to eek out a good dining experience here.

Boss: The office is closing so let's meet in the bar at Binkley's at 59th and College. Me: Great idea and I suggest all future department meetings be held at a bar. Boss: OK, we'll go to Binkley's from now on if that works for you guys. Really, shouldn't all work be done in bars? Why should the bartenders be the only ones getting paid to be there? I haven't actually eaten here but the menu seems to be pretty standard fare. The drink selection is pretty good with 16 (?) taps of macro and micro brews. Pints are $2 off on Mondays and I took advantage of that by having the gingerbread stout from Triton, a brewery right here in Indy. Great service and decent prices. I'll see you at the next meeting!

This place is like a locally owned O'Charleys with a good beer list. I mean that in the most complimentary way possible. The food is standard American fare - sandwiches, steaks, seafood. Nothing too exotic. Everything I have tried has been good. I appreciate that they have good grilled (broiled?) asparagus instead of the usual assortment of buttery veggies or potatoes. Plus, they have a very nice beer list with an emphasis on local products while still keeping some regional favorites, like Bell's. The location is prime. They have a parking lot. They take reservations. A very safe bet for dinner.

Binkley's is our favorite neighborhood bar/restaurant. Great selection of beers on tap and a diverse menu w/ above average American food. The service in the dining area seems to be a bit slow, so we always sit in the bar area. It can get crowded on days when Colts or Butler plays, so get there early for a good table.
Casual and inviting, yet upscale and clean, everything about Binkley's says, to me: "welcome, relax, and enjoy a caliber, but no-nonsense meal and drinks". The atmosphere is comfortable and relatively quiet. I noticed that, at least in the restaurant, the tables seemed relatively spread out -- avoiding the sensation of sitting in a crowded space. We didn't have to wait too long for a table either -- which was really nice. Our server was very friendly, and really knowledgeable about the menu. I despise servers who always use "It seems to be a really top seller" as a euphemism for "I don't know", "have never tried it", or "I just started here and have no idea what's even on our menu". Our food was delicious. Upscale, adult flavors, but not too pretentious. I had a Bison Burger (wonderfully prepared); my girlfriend enjoyed a pasta dish that made her start Googling recipes upon our return home. All in all, I'm a fan, and I'm headed back.

Salmon was better than out of a can, but not by much. Stoli rocks was a short pour, and the bartender wasn't much better than the Salmon. No reason to stop again now that the Aristocrat is back.

I have experienced this place in two distinct ways. 1) a basic "American" lunch/dinner establishment with nice beer on-tap. 2) An astoundingly creative restaurant that can adequately complement a difficult beer menu. Let's start by addressing #2: the Founders beer dinner on Jan. 31 was resplendent with creatively prepared animal fat - fried pork belly, grilled halloumi (I'd never heard of this), goat cheese + salmon sushi, rare duck breast. rare venison - and I'd never encountered such concentrated culinary delight alonside fantastic beer. But then, #1, the regular menu offers typical sandwiches and salads and meat dishes, devoid of culinary intrigue. This is what I've seen in the past. Average 'em out, and we get, like, 4 stars or something.

I frequently get lost outside of Broad Ripple when I'm trying to find The Flying Cupcake, and I had noticed Binkley's on the corner of College and Kessler several times during my early Indy exploration. The "Kitchen and Bar" tagline caught my eye, and the exterior of the building looked crisp and inviting. When I finally decided to give it a shot, I was impressed with the cozy interior- candles at every table, and a sharp, clean decor that was minimalist and classy. The atmosphere lends itself to a certain air of swankiness, but it's a casual, quiet place. The menu, however, was unimpressive. There wasn't anything on it that I was dying to have, and what I ended up ordering was a let down in more than one way. My boyfriend and I were both intrigued by the goat cheese appetizer from the seasonal dinner menu, so we decided to try it. The goat cheese is baked in marinara and served with naan, but the marinara was so strong that you really couldn't even taste the goat cheese- it was more or less a bowl of marinara with two blocks of goat cheese floating in it. The dinner menu is pretty standard- salads, sandwiches, and pizza make up the bulk of it, with a small selection of pasta and seafood dishes and an even smaller category for "steaks, chicken, & ribs." Like I said, nothing really stuck out to me, so it was a tossup between the crab cakes and fish tacos, since I was in the mood for seafood but didn't feel like spending too much money. I opted for the fish tacos because the citrus cole slaw and mango salsa sounded tasty, but they turned out to be a bad combination. The salsa was way too juicy, so the tacos were a real pain to eat with all the dripping and slipping. The fish itself was supposed to be citrus grilled but had a spicy kick to it that I wasn't expecting and that didn't mesh that well with the other flavors, and by the time I gave up on them they were a soggy, mangled mess that made me wish I had ordered something simpler, like a burger. In my opinion tacos are pretty hard to mess up, but these just weren't executed to their full potential, and combined with the disappointment of the goat cheese they made for a pretty mediocre meal. The one thing I did really enjoy about Binkley's was their impressive beer and wine menu, with lots of locally brewed and imported beers. Maybe the lunch menu is better, but after my unsatisfying appetizer and main course, I doubt I'll ever go back.

One of my favorite go to places in town when I just want a good meal in a great atmosphere without being way overcharged. The menu is extensive and the chef's take time particularly with the more interesting dishes. If you want a burger and fries there are probably better choices. It is a wonderful place to hang out, watch a game, have a drink, etc. There are more residents here than students typically. The outdoor seating is nice when the Harley's are not going by and it is not mosquito time (not sure where they are coming from with pavement all around). I wish they had a section of the outdoor seating that was dog friendly.

This place has improved IMO....better tv's...nicer staff...and an excellent and changing draft beer selection....sometimes it seems the beers are chosen haphardly...perhaps with a nod to the relative hotness of the beer rep...but..nonetheless....not budlightmillerlightcoorslight....and blue moon..and guiness Pizza I think is quite good...with the crust having a nice bit of corn meal...never burned that seems to be de-rigueur with the hip pizza crowd these days...I don't mind the burnt crust...but don't have to have it to consider a pizza "quality". Other menu items have been better than average pub grub...at reasonable prices...vegetables choices are there...and not swimming in that fake butter crap (whirl, phase or something) that is the color of urine from a cat in late stage renal failure. Nice decor, pleasant ambiance, slightly older crowd on average...nice folks !

Binkley's is one of our regular spots. We usually sit in the bar but occasionally choose the dining room if the bar is extra loud. The food and service are solid. The red-pepper hummus with naan and onion rings are excellent. The soup of the day is usually a one-time only creation and quite good. I also like the bison burger but be sure to insist they not over cook it or it will be dry. I would like more salad choices but that a minor quibble.

Features LOCAL Bison burgers for $2 more than their normal $8 burger... Awesome oven brick pizza! Great place for beers (not brunch). Bar food on steroids essentially. Service is better at night vs the day...not sure why

I adore Binkley's! Super friendly staff, great drinks (named and created by people who work there), and delicious food have always made me leave a happy customer. Personally, I like the changing seasonal menu and the brunch the most. However, it can be a great late night spot to stop with friends, even on a weeknight. My favorite drink so far is the SoBro cocktail, frozen. Definitely worth supporting this local business!

Recommended by a fellow Yelper, I drove my fam here after a nice day at the Indy Children's Museum. Binkley's is the definition of a neighborhood gem, and they do it well. Everything you could want in a go-to restaurant, nice menu, fine service, great dining space. Pesto tortellini was terrific. All the pasta dishes were terrific. Not always easy for a cas dining joint to do. i wouldn't be afraid to order anything off the menu. Complimentary bread (focaccia) was terrific. All of this gets Binkley's four stars. The fifth star comes from two things. First, we didn't have reservations. We arrived so early in the evening, I assumed reservations weren't necessary. But, they were already busy. They were expecting first seating, but they accommodated us. We promised to eat fast! Second, we had the two year old nephew with us, and he became cranky as soon as we sat at the table. Server was superb. Brought us food and that calmed him down. I wouldn't bring small children here late on a weekend evening, but they treated us very well, and that gets them the fifth star. A final note. Binkley's has started serving Flat 12 beer on tap. As I understand, they're the first location to serve it. I had the amber. It was terrific. Flavor changed as the beer warmed. Just a variety of flavors. So, make reservations. If you need a decent place to take family and friends, Binkley's has you covered. they also have a banquet room.

Our first time. What a great place. Sat in the bar - great "buzz," very noisy, lots of people. Servers were very attentive. Ordered the battered cod - crispy batter, tender flaky fish inside. Great sweet potato fries. I would recommend it, and will return soon. Mike

When I go to a new city, I always want to know where their specialty is..could be pizza or frozen dipped bananas, whatever, I just want to know. So I messaged MJ W. in your Indy network and asked him what I should get for lunch, he said Indianapolis' speciality is breaded tenderloins, YES! That's pretty much one of my favorite sandwiches, ever! I'm at my conference, ask a guy who was attending and he said Binkley's was close, quick, fun and delicious, so we went, obviously! There is A LOT of people here on a Sunday afternoon but it makes sense, college football is still on and it's a college town. Parking stinks so we parked in a neighborhood down the street. My friend and I order the breaded tenderloin sandwiches and french fries, didn't even need to think about it. We got our meals and omg, this is a giant tenderloin! I guess they cut it right off so it's not perfectly shaped. I use all my veggies and sauces and bite into it...amazing. Minus one star because the fries were luke warm and kinda mooshy like they had been sitting out for a while waiting for the tenderloin to get done, but oh well. Our meals and drinks ended up totaling $22.00 which isn't bad at all! So glad we got to stop by here!

I guess I will go back here...it wasn't amazing, but I think I was there and had an anomalous experience. I thought the crab dip was fine, I'd rather have soft bread with it, but that is no big deal. The problem came in that...my server, who was a nice kid, ordered the wrong dish. Which, as a server, I know that sort of thing happens, so I wasn't overly upset. The food took a while to come back out, which I don't mind either because that meant they cooked it right...which isn't so good, because the dish lacked any sort of...i dunno...flavor. I had the pork chops, and pork is my favorite carnivorous treat. The chops didn't have anything going for them and the presentation reminded me of my dinner at the hotel we had our prom at...boring. Too man rubbery green beans, and mashed potatoes that looked like they came from an ice cream scoop. The misses had her standard burger and it was ok, gave it the usual, "meh, it's ok." The atmosphere is great, though the dinner crowed skews older. The bar is cool, and the lack luster wine list, is display in an awesomely spectacular cabinet. So, yeah I'll go back, if for nothing else to try other things. And, they have Peroni on tap.

This place is great! I have been here more times than I can count and every time, Binkley's has not disappointed. The service is always prompt and friendly. Because I am sucker for a tenderloin sandwich (their's is AMAZING by the way!), I have not had many different entrees here. I will say that the house salads are great as well as the fries, potato salad and coleslaw. I have also had the chicken cannelloni , which was great. It has chicken, spinach and goat cheese wrapped in a cannelloni. This place does great pretty busy on the weekends. If you don't have a reservation, be prepared to wait a while. The only other downside to Binkley's is the parking. Their lot is very small, so be prepared to walk from the surrounding neighborhood. Binkley's is a staple in the Broadripple community and I think everyone should try it at least once!

Been to Binkley's a half dozen times and it has been pretty consistent. Average bar food for the most part. I do like the loaded nacho's and the salads are always fresh. I do prefer to sit in the bar when I go with friends; I like that is feels like a separate place from the dining room. The French Martini is pretty great and they carry some nice wines by the glass at an affordable per glass price. Parking can be a bit hairy on the weekends, so be prepared to park on the street.

Great atmoshphere, good beer selection, good burger....but do not get the blueberry crisp dessert.....it was gross. Basically like a berry soup with instant oatmeal sprinkled on top. But, not to worry! We told our server it was horrible and she happily took it off the check. Overall, a nice place and it should be a good place to watch a game!

Overall, an okay experience. Wish I could give a half star on this one. Not a fan... yet. The hostess seemed a bit annoyed that our group of 10 showed up for lunch on Sunday. I realize it's a large group, but it's still MONEY, so you'd think that she would have been a little more accomodating. However, the waitress was really nice. She was very attentive and got everything right. As far as the food, I'm trying to eat well so I ordered the veggie wrap. It was decent. A little too much red onion and the dressing and hummous weren't very flavorful. The side of fruit was pretty tasty though. Good fruit in January must be expensive! However, the burgers that everyone else ordered looked AMAZING. After my wedding in a few weeks, I'll be back to mow one of those things down. The blue cheese burger looked especially good.

Really liked Binkley's. Met a few friends here for dinner and drinks, and I was impressed. I ordered the herb stuffed chicken... wow. It was excellent. It was chicken stuffed wtih some cheeses and herbs and covered in a mushroom sauce! Good stuff. Came with really good mashed potatoes. They have a huge menu including everything from sandwiches to pizza to pasta to chicken and other meat dishes. Everyone was really happy with their choices. My dinner came with a tomato parmesan soup which was excellent as well! Lots of beers on draft and the staff is really friendly and helpful. We had to wait about 30 minutes, but it was 7pm on a Friday night, so, understandable. Overall, a really nice place to eat and have some drinks.

Went there for lunch and then back for dinner about a week later. Lunch was good with good sandwiches. Dinner however was just meh. They have a good selection and diversity of foods, probably too many things on the menu which is why nothing seemed amazing and it was all just ok. Prices seem a bit higher than they should be for the quality of the food.

Binkley's is my default brunch location- period. I know that I can take the kids, meet the grandparents, take friend from out of town, etc.; I know that I can get a good meal, the kids have a decent selection, and service is impeccable. The only thing that makes Binkley's better is when the patio is open- it's amazing!

We went here recently on a Friday night with my parents and our soon to be 1 yr old son. I chose this place because the other reviews said it is "child friendly." The atmosphere was great! The crowd was lively and the servers were friendly and ready to give suggestions. My parents both had burgers which they said were good, my hubby had a chicken salad which he liked, and I had the swordfish with rice pilaf which was also good although the sauce was a little much on the buttery side. They also had a good selection of wine by the glass. We will definitely be back! The only downside was that the parking lot in the back was full and we had to park about a block down the street.

This is one of our favorite restaurants. They have a wide selection of food. They also have a full bar. I triple love their breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. Best I have had in a restaurant. My partner likes the blue cheese hamburger. The prices are reasonable. You get a lot of food. The wait staff and Management go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. Warning: you may want to smack yourself for not going before now. ;-)

Best onion rings EVER. Great crunchy batter... delicious. Crab cakes were decent too. Much nicer inside than I imagined!

I've been here twice in the past two weeks, once for dinner with a friend and once for drinks with coworkers. Both times, I sat in their screened-in patio area, which is a very nice added feature. Food was delicious, drinks were tasty, and their service was superb.

"u should be mad if someone interferes with a dedicated and passionate dietary regimen that u have so diligently been adhering to, only to be absurdly disrupted b/c of someone else's ignorance." This was my reply when a friend i had dinner with last night sent me a text that wrote, "Thanks for coming out. Sorry I got a little 'sour'. Was a little upset about the eggs!" My friend is vegan. We make it a point to go out to eat with one another frequently. It is always a challenge when understanding what she can and cannot eat at each particular restaurant. At Binkleys last night she asked the server if the hummus and bread was vegan friendly. My friend had been in this restaurant before and the server on the prior occasion mentioned the hummus was vegan friendly! My friend ordered the hummus appetizer both occasions, this time and last time, she ate the food as well thinking it was vegan friendly per the information from the first server. The server this time suggested consult from the chef in order to be thorough in her analysis and conclude on a correct answer. The server that made it a point to consult the chef comes running out of the kitchen with a panicked demeanor and a strong inclination to mention that the chef has looked at the bag of hummus bread and acknowledged there are eggs in the ingredient list. My friend was sickened with not only the thought of something foreign to her for the last year entering her body, but the sheer deceit and untrustworthiness that she felt in regard to the servers as well as the entire restaurant. All in all, the atmosphere and decor is really well organized. The food was nothing short of OK. The relatively high price point and elegant decor denotes a certain higher level dinning experience. My suggestion, get rid of the tacking Denny's style wicker bread baskets and the atrocious plastic and HP all-in-one home printer paper specials table display! Bonefish grill makes a good specials display present on the bar tables, i recommend Binkley's to check into where they got those. Needless to say our Bi-weekly restaurant outings will never again include Binkley's. Although, i would go back with someone that didn't care about quality of food and service, and only valued the visual esthetics of the place.

Blah. Bruschetta SUCKED. Soup was good, black bean. Main entree had too many proteins and didn't have a pleasing texture or flavor, other than that it was quite good. Service sucks in every way. There are much better places in Indy. It would be 1 star if there wasn't the soup. FOOD: C SERVICE: D ATMOSPHERE: B OVERALL: C

We had been here before and really liked. But was not impressed at all this time around. The service was ok...not bad, but not great. Our waiter Chris did not seem happy to be at work. It took him a while to greet us. We ordered 2 appetizers the truffle fries and tater tots. They were really good. But Chris walked off before getting our dinner order. He did not ask just said ok and walked off. The appetizers made us excited for our dinner entrées. But they were disappointing. My steak was cooked well, the mac and cheese was good (super creamy), and the broccoli was tender but had crispness to it. My husband found his steak to be unseasoned. When Chris asked how was it, my husband said not good. Chris walked away. You could see my husband ate less than 1/2 of the steak. Chris dropped off the check and did bad waiter thing of trying to nice at the end. The two stars were just because the appetizers were so good. Or this would have been a one star.

(4)Sara C.
(2)Rusty J.

(3)Genna P.
(3)Stacy A.
Love their drink specials throughout the week. The food is decent for American bar/pub food. It is pretty easy to find something for every kind of eater. Their outside patio in the warmer months is fabulous. I do wish they would change up their menu a bit but that's not their jam. Friendly bartenders as well.
(3)Rebecca P.
(4)Seigfred S.
(5)Rudolph T.
My wife and I ate dinner there. I ordered the NY strip when the steak finally came it was not worth the wait. I once had a steak like this one at the waffle house years ago. The service was marginal at best. The meal was not worth the bill thats for sure.
(1)Allison F.
If you're in the mood for an upscale Applebee's, then head in here.
(2)Kevin K.
(4)Shawn D.
(4)Brittany L.
(3)Bob F.
OK, maybe I was overly judgmental last time. Have gone back a few times recently with very good results. Updates to follow.
(4)Amanda B.
(3)Michelle Q.
(4)Ronnie W.
well, I really wanted to like Binkleys.
(1)Sabrina S.
(3)Suzie T.
-Yum Yum!
(5)Lindsay R.
Chicken nachos and red pepper chicken topped off with Sun King, what more could you ask for?
(5)Tyler G.
(5)Jessica S.
Definitely a meh ... fish tacos were just ok with way too much tortilla and toppings. Waitress was very disengaged once she learned we weren't ordering alcohol. Way better places in the neighborhood.
(2)Sarine J.
I really enjoy the atmosphere and the ambiance. This place is for an older crowd and they have a large selection of drinks and food. I give them 3 stars because they are pretty expensive but their food isn't fantastic.
(3)Mike F.
(4)Amber C.
Enjoy!
(4)Laura J.
(5)Richard H.
(2)Dia D.
(4)Kelly R.
Perfect neighborhood restaurant for a great meal, great atmosphere (I always sit in the bar) and solid service. I especially love the patio and open air bar in the summertime, or grabbing a spot near the fireplace in the winter. I've always had a great meal and fantastic drinks.
(5)Peter P.
Very reasonable for the quality of food and service. Mushroom pizza with pesto was good, my wife even enjoyed it without cheese. Service is always fantastic.

Great place with "local" feel. Close to Butler University. Stop in for a great meal before the next Butler Bulldogs Home game or watch the away games in the Bar area!

(5)Steve W.

(4)Rhonda S.
had the Fish tacos and red sangria for lunch.

(4)Phil B.
(5)Chris S.
Classy neighborhood bar with great food and drinks. Weekly drink specials are reasonable. Plenty of micro brews on tap. The menu often has seasonal food specials. The outdoor patio is a great place to have dinner or drinks.
(4)Bihl B.

(3)Matt F.
(3)Ryan D.
(4)Beth K.
(4)Julia C.
We've driven past Binkley's millions of times and I always say that I want to check it out. So we decided to go there for Sunday brunch, but I was so disappointed with the brunch menu that we ordered off the lunch menu instead. The brunch menu was really small and nothing really seemed appealing. I ordered a house salad, tomato & mozzarella on ciabatta bread off their seasonal lunch menu and a side of fries. My fiancé ordered the Caribbean chicken wrap (also off the seasonal menu) and the soup of the day which was a creamy, red bell pepper soup. The house salad was really good and my sandwich was really tasty. It was big enough for two people so I shared half with my fiancé. And that was a good thing because the Caribbean chicken wrap was not so great. The chicken was so dry and hard and it seemed like all the seasoning was on just the bottom of the wrap and not on the chicken. And the red bell pepper soup was.. different. We don't quite know how to explain it. I think it was weird for me because I wasn't expecting it to taste like a sweet & sour soup. Personally I think we've been jinxed with soups since our odd soup experience in South Dakota. :P So overall it was just okay for us. I really enjoyed my sandwich and I would definitely come back to try the other ones on the menu. And it seems like Binkley's would be a great place to have a beer and some appetizers with friends. So next time we'll check it out with our gang in the evening.
(3)Scotty Z.
(4)James S.
Salmon was better than out of a can, but not by much. Stoli rocks was a short pour, and the bartender wasn't much better than the Salmon. No reason to stop again now that the Aristocrat is back.
(1)William C.
(4)Lynsey S.

(4)Cathy D.
(4)Catherine A.
Features LOCAL Bison burgers for $2 more than their normal $8 burger... Awesome oven brick pizza! Great place for beers (not brunch). Bar food on steroids essentially. Service is better at night vs the day...not sure why
(4)Kelsee H.

(5)Mike O.

Great service, great pizza and good beers. All in all a very fun evening made better by being at Binkleys

Great place to grab a drink and have a nice dinner with friends. They have some really nice drink specials. Pizzas and pastas are the best! Don't forget to try the Mac and cheese, onion rings, and berry tart! Love em!

They have real good coffee and real good pizza. Service is always great when we go.

I only write this after going there more than 3 times. The food is either cold or the wrong temp. The draft beer is usually warmer than it should be. The bar wait staff....especailly the laides are pretty rough (mean)

Yum yum pizza. Great atmosphere
