My service was amazing! I highly recommend making SURE you get Lindsey! She is so kind and attentive! Regarding the food, the value is great! You get MORE than you pay for here and the food is fresh. When I ate the guacamole I could taste each ingredient. This establishment is more than your typical corporate joint!

Smoked house chicken with a loaded baked potato and cinnamon apples was really good. The Sam Adams summer ale was really cold! Logan gave us great service at the bar.

I have always been pleased with the ribs here. I get the St.Louis dry rub style and they are awesome ! I tried the wings, but they didn't have enough zing for me. They need to be hotter. The sides are passable, with the baked beans being a bit on the vinegary side. An upgrade to the mac and cheese is advisable. The service is very good. I usually sit at the bar during the lunch hour and Heather is a great bartender.

Picked up a quick to-go order for a dessert. I love the cheesecake bites. Yes, they are the same as Buffalo Wild Wings, but SB's are bigger! The host at the front desk was very friendly and brought me a water during my wait. I will need to come back soon. Great staff and great menu selection!

Had lunch today with my friend John. Great food and great service as always. If you go ask for Tammy's section, tell her Robert sent you.

Love this restaurant. I'm ordering from this place that it's practically become comfort food at this point. Go with the create your own combo and a chocolate cake. The piece is huge and actually worth the price restaurants typically charge. And the fact they are open till 2 am so freakin rocks. With everything closing at 10 and only fast food is typically the only thing available, them have real quality food available at 1 am rocks!

Good food, decent service & a real man cave feel. The BBQ sauce is a great highlight to the meal, however the tacky posters with euphemisms of "racks" could go away.

It has been several yeas since I have visited a Smokey Bones. So when it was decided that BBQ was in order it was official that this was the place we were gonna dine at. We arrived around 8:30pm on a Friday night. Since most of any evening dinner rush was pretty much over (and the fact that I got front row parking right next to the door) we were seated right away. The hostess was less than friendly and appeared to be bothered to actually seat us. She originally started us at a regular table but when we asked for a booth she sighed and took us to the back corner. She didn't tell us anything, just sat the menus down and walked away. Turns out that by asking for a booth we were placed in a section that had just been sat. So it took our server a while to get over to us. She did stop by and tell us it would be a minute...which was appreciated. The long wait allowed us to make all the necessary selections on what we wanted to eat. When she came back we placed our drink and appetizer order. She brought our drinks back right away but then disappeared for quite some time. When she did come back she asked if we wanted to place our order or wait until the appetizer came out. We opted to place our order. I went with the pulled pork and chicken tenders with onion rings and baked beans. My other half went with the pulled pork and the brisket with onion rings and loaded mashed potatoes. Pretty much after we ordered the fried pickles came out. They were good, but seeing that just a few days ago we had some from Bubba 33's they just didn't stand out like theirs do. BUT they were still good. A little while later our main meal came out. The pulled pork was done right, and the chicken tenders were juicy...but I didn't care for the breading. The onion rings were perfect, and the baked beans had a little kick to them. My other half said the brisket was good and said it wasn't tough like other places. Overall the food was good and I was impressed...ok...that is a lie. The food was ok, but I have had better. The "sweet" sauce wasn't very sweet at all. It had more kick to it than other places with a "mild" sauce. We did go with dessert as well...the donuts. They were good and came with raspberry and chocolate dipping sauce. All in all I would probably go back again, but probably because they are open late and it gives another option if I don't feel like cooking after getting home from work at 10pm.

Overall good food, but the service and experience left much to be desired. The important part.. the meat was good. I had the brisket and pork in a combo. The pork was good, well flavored and cooked well. The brisket was very good. It had a great rub on it and was cooked well. Our service was less than ideal.. we showed up around 2.30 and the place was fairly empty.. However it took them 10-15 minutes to seat us for some reason. Our server forgot a couple of requests and was a bit slow to fill our drinks. The food was good.. but the rest just wasn't all that good.

Smokey Bones is a good old stand by place. Maybe not a destination restaurant, but still a solid place to go for lunch or dinner. The nachos are fabulous. Something not right about BBQ on nachos, but it's so good. The Build Your Own Burger is nice and fun. Cooked perfectly and topped with all of the fun stuff I'd recommended. It's hard to edit yourself here. I'm seeing lots of fried eggs on burgers and I haven't gone there. Have you? I think that Smokey Bones may be the place that takes me there. Their BBQ sauces are yum. I like the vinegar-y Carolina sauce. I dipped my homemade crispy chips in it and was in HEAVEN.

I only go here occastionally-but I really do like the food. I always get a three item combo and take it home. I could almost eat BBQ every day. I love the brisket. People always say that it is fatty, but here is a little meat lesson for you: meat that is tender has fat on it. That is what makes it tender. The pulled pork is almost always a safe bet. I always sit at the bar. I noticed one of the bartenders pull a beer and put vodka in it. Excuse me?? The former bartender in me had to ask what was going on. They told me it was the "Shock Top Pumpkin Ale" with some vanilla vodka on top, with a sugar/cinnamon rim. Oh yes, I will try that! I will seriously try about anything. Soooo....the beer itself, with the vodka, was amazing. I love pumpkin flavored anything. However, the rim was a bit sticky for me, but delicious! Even though I didn't like how it felt on my lips, I kept putting my finger in it and licking it! So good! Apparently this drink does not have a name. Just ask for the pumpkin ale with vanillla vodka. Also, everytime I am here the salads are good. I think they seem fairly fresh! Luckily, I like red cabbage, because there was a freak ton in mine.

Only bad experience I can genuinely say was I've posted on Yelp was this place. Sat at the bar at lunch during slow period...restaurant is huge...bar is amazing. I bet they do an amazing weekend crowd, but on this day it was me on the west side of the bar and a couple on the Southside and the inventory managers. I probably sat 15 minutes without an acknowledgement even though I made eye contact with two servers and raised my head as if to say Heeeyyy..look at me, without the rude factor. Finally a manager asked if I had been helped...pleasantly I responded "no" From there it was passable, I order the brisket which for 15 dollars almost made me feel like little Oliver asking for another helping. I'd go back for appetizers as they excited me but for overall BBQ I'll just continue to do it the way I like at home, SC style.

I actually like the food at Smokey Bones. I like the BBQ better than Famous Daves (I know...shame me all you want). The chicken is good and I've enjoyed all the sides. It's down home, stick-to-your-ribs kind of food but nothing too special. The decor is interesting. The interior looks like a mountain cabin or ski lodge complete with fireplaces and logs. The bar is HUGE and lined with televisions with a large selection of alcohol to choose from. The margaritas are okay and they have various happy hour specials. I do have problems with a couple of the misogynistic slogans gracing the walls, but other than that, it's an okay place.

Visited on a Tuesday night. As another review mentioned the parking lot looked full, but inside it was dead. There seemed to be very few employees and service was pleasant, but very slow - nearly 2 hours. The interior is dark and uninviting. Althoguh positioned as a smokehouse, there's a large menu with a small number coming from the smoker. In fact pulled pork and ribs are on the last page of a six page menu that seems to feature burgers, steaks, and pasta more than smoked meat. So, the food. I had pulled pork with baked beans and baked apples. The pulled pork was okay. There's not a large smoke flavor, but it was tender and tasty. The baked beans and apples were tasty, but not excellent. They have 4 sauces: mustard, KC, KC hot, and Carolina. I liked the mustard sauce the best. The KC was not as good as KC Masterpiece from a bottle. The KC hot was KC plus a shot of tabasco. The Carolina was vinegary and seemed to be the wrong kind of vinegar. Overall the food is uninspired. You can do better. There's a large bar with a lot of TVs. It may be a good place to watch the game.

We went this last Saturday around 1 pm. Waited approx. 40 minutes even though the restaurant had few patrons. Both of us ordered the baby back rib combo. I had chicken strips and my husband had smoked chicken wings. The ribs were tough and I didn't finish mine. My chicken strips were the best part but not worth the wait or the price. Disappointed.

Love this place. The atmosphere is great. TVs everywhere. Great bartenders. Food is very good. The late night menu is worth the wait. Always my 'goto' place when nothing else sounds good.

Had the cheesy brisket sandwich. Dry, tasteless, shavings of meat. I wouldn't eat there again if it was free. Service was, good and fast.

What a terrible experience I had here! I couldn't get a drink to save my life at the bar and there were only three people sitting there. I cut up my Bones card and won't ever go back there.

I shared the build-a-burger and wings. The wings were out of this world! There are sauces and dips and combos, oh my! I went thru three napkins and I hadn't even started my burger yet. The burger stood its ground with avocado, bacon, lettuce, and onion. By the time I was halfway done with my burger, I realized that I hadn't tasted the avocado. So here's my tip: get the wings, they'll blow your mind. Don't add avocado to your burger unless that's the only topping which chances are it won't be.

The restaurant has gone through a renovation. We showed up with a group of 7, and they shoved us into a booth, and made me sit on the end. The server took quite a long time to get drinks and the correct number of straws out to the table. When you have 4 kids under the age of 6 with you, it makes a huge difference. We placed our order about 10 minutes after he brought out our drinks. Never stopped to wait on us again until the food came out. Once again all of the kids were out of their drinks, and causing a minor ruckus. The food was as good as before. The service was just as consistently bad as I remembered. Bottom Line: Good Food, Bad Service, Not a great place for families, or groups that want to actually sit together. We came in at 5:30 on a Wednesday, so it wasn't like the place was even busy yet.

So this was my first time back in YEARS. They'd changed the menu some, the logo, and tweaked a few other things, and I'm not sure if I like it. Our service was okay- I'll give them the benefit of the doubt considering it WAS NYE- but the place wasn't that crowded! I ordered the salad/baked potato combo and was very disappointed with the potato- definitely the gigantic potato pictured in the menu, maybe 1/3 the size and definitely not filling, although the bag 'o donuts definitely made up for it!

My family and I love to eat here, but sometimes this place has great service than there are times they have terrible service. For the most part we luck out and get great service. The pulled pork dinner is one of my favorite meals to order from here, that or the steak with the butter sauce. The atmosphere, most of you should already know because I'm sure everyone has at least been here once, is very log cabin like, makes you feel cozy and warm especially during the winter season when they have the fireplace going! They have great tasting bbq sauce to choose from as well. The best appetizer in my opinion is the cornbread with maple butter! Try this place out, you'll like it I'm sure!

Smokey Bones is your standard American stuff-your-face chain restaurant. The portions are fairly large, but the food is bland and inconsistent. When I went, the parking lot looked full from the outside, even though there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. I have a faint suspicion that the manager is running a used car lot on the side. If you wind up here, I recommend that you stick to the basics. The pulled pork was the best part of my meal, even though one of their four signature barbecue sauces appeared to be 90% vinegar. The other sauces were simple and sweet-- good enough for a meal but nothing to write home about. The rest of my meal fell short of expectations. The sausage, for example, had a rubbery texture and the mashed potatoes were way too buttery. My girlfriend and I left unsure of whether or not we wanted our leftovers. With a $35 bill, we felt obligated to bite the bullet and take them home, but they certainly didn't taste any better the next day.

In my opinion this place just lacks "something." Wasn't terribly impressed with the service and the ribs were inconsistent.. sometimes great and sometimes dried to imperfection. Just wasn't worth all the hit and miss after a while so we started frequenting Famous Daves which, I feel offers a much better quality, larger portions and better customer service.

A few friends and I ventured out tonight in search of karaoke. Smokey Bones started doing weekly karaoke on Saturday nights a couple of weeks ago. It's an awesome place, I must say. The service was great and the half price appetizers are great deals! They also had dollar shots of apple and watermelon Pucker; not too shabby. The food that we had was good; I just had spinach/artichoke dip but one person had a full meal of ribs while another got a big appetizer sampler. I stole one of the potatos from his sampler and it was great. :) The karaoke was fun; not too many people have discovered it yet but that will probably change. It's a decent setup and they're supposed to be bringing in more songs to grow their catalog. Last but certainly not least, it's a smoke-free establishment which seems to be a rare quality in places that have karaoke nights.

This place has a nice menu selection for all tastes. I used to work with Jeff the manager so if you have any issues ask for him.. he is a nice guy. Service was pretty lack for not being busy. They have a good cornbread appetizer with maple butter.

My husband & I have not been to a Smokey Bones since they closed the Avon location. We decided to drive the 30 minutes to Greenwood, and go there to have a meal to celebrate his birthday. Like other reviews have stated, the parking lot was packed, so we figured we'd have to wait. We walked in, and were seated right away. Our waitress took our drink order, and asked if we wanted a starter. We asked for some time to decide, so she left to get our drinks. When she returned, we had decided against the starter and placed our orders. I decided to go with a "pick two combo" of pulled pork & brisket while my husband had the teriyaki pork tenderloin. About 20 minutes later, she came back to our table to inform me that they had ran out of brisket...15 minutes ago. How does a place that serves BEEF run out of brisket at 5:00 pm on a Saturday? I was offered one of the other choices in the combo list, but was afraid if I didn't go for something easy, that it too would not be available. Now we had to wait for the rest of my meal to be prepared. Nothing was offered in place of our wait time...hmmm maybe we should have ordered a starter, and our meal wasn't discounted, which we have had done before at other restaurants. We won't be going back even though we miss the food.

My husband and I love barbeque. So we take our family at least once a month or every 6 weeks to satisfy our craving for meat. This is the only Smokey Bones location in the Indy Metro area. We are happy that this place is still around. The location is pretty strategic, near the Greenwood Mall, other restaurants and shopping area. Pros: 1. Great taste pulled pork, with variety of sauces and sides. I love their fire roasted corn. 2. Reasonable price and portion size. 3. Great kid's menu at reasonable price ($4.49-$4.79) that comes with 1 side and drink. My kids always eat their meal when we go here. I sometime let them have a bottle of rootbeer for $1 extra- they love it. No refill though for rootbeer. The strawberry lemonade is great too, but it is pretty sweet. 4. Great appetizers - We used to love their cornbread with mapple butter, but we got tired of eating it. Now we love their pretzel bones. Also, my new favorite is Southwestern Rolls - it tastes like Chimicangas without the meat. 4. Friendly service and reasonable wait time (except during holiday season, you might need to wait longer for a table and food) 5. Decent seats and nice casual dining ambiance. 6. COUPONS - sign up your email for coupons. They often offer $5 or $10 coupon monthly that will bring down our bill. Cons: 1. Booth size is not big enough to seat more than 4 adults or larger groups. 2. Lighting and ambiance - dark and not well heated in winter season. 3. VERY slow service - 4 out of 5 visits. We had this situation where the food being served longer than 25 minutes...made us starved and grumpy.. We always leave the place happy and come home with a full tummy.

We had not been here in months! They've always made excellent broccoli and it did not disappoint. Yes I'm talking about a BBQ place and praising the healthy food. I had the combo with pulled pork and brisket. I also tried the fire roasted corn and it was delicious. I thought the pork was really good and the brisket was a bit too fatty for my preference. We had the cornbread for an appetizer and as always it was delicious. Service was great, we were seated right away, she was friendly and we never waited for refills. A good experience.

Logan rocks the bar at night, fast and efficient and will help anyone who needs it before they ask. When you order food at the bar he makes sure you have everything you need before the food arrives, and will never let your glass run empty.

Their smoked wings are amazing! They seem expensive but worth every penny. Monday they have all-you-can-eat wings for $10.99 after 9p.m. along with their open mic night. The menu is very large and everything is filling!! 5 stars
