I have eaten here quite a bit I really like the habanero cheese doesn't get much better than that!

This location has the best, most friendliest staff around. I've been coming here for years and you are always greeted by the same faces, that says a lot about a food business when there is so little staff turn around. Food is good too, see other reviews for that, but it's the staff that makes this place shine.

I'm coming out of my first Skyline experience. It went like this. 1. Wanting to try a new place on my lunch break on this, the desolate south side. 2. Think "what would bestie from Cincy do?" 3. Go to Skyline. 4. Receive text from Cincy friend that he was too busy eating Skyline to answer my text, thus creating a CHILICEPTION. The amount of food I bought was so large that I would have been embarrassed if I had any shame. I sampled a Coney dog, the Greek Salad, and a 4 way with onions. The Coney was magnificent. Small, but tasty, and in hindsight, I should have just purchased like 7 Coneys. The 4 way was super as well! I soaked it in hot sauce and got it extreme style with the habanero cheese. The Greek salad? Well, there wasn't much salad in it. Mostly woody veins of lettuce. Do not put the whole dressing packet in the salad...that is a rookie mistake that I made. I chose all of these items because they were Skyline "signature" items according to the menu. The staff was very friendly and the food was out quickly. Next time you see me here, I'll be the girl ordering too many Coney dogs.

Up front I have to say I love Skyline. I have been to locations from Cincy, and around Indiana. We were at this location on 9/15/2014 for lunch. As always the service was great. I was disappointed this time because the dogs came out barely warmed over. A lukewarm hotdog covered with chili sauce just doesn't cut it. In the future guys, take some time to let those babies heat up.

It's not Dixie Chili, but that doesn't stop me from devouring 3 cheese coneys and a root beer on occasion. In the hot dog desert that is Indianapolis, these are some of the better dogs in town.

I love this place... not only does it bring Cincinnati chili to Indy but it brings the Reds! The place is decorated in my two favorite teams... Reds and Colts! Caution: The cheese they put on the Chili dogs is addicting!

I went to school in Indy and had the pleasure of having Skyline Chili many, many years ago. So when driving thru Indiana last week, I made us stop to have it again. My husband was not too keen on stopping and trying chili on top of spaghetti, but fortunately, he has been converted! We both got the 4 way with onions and the 'extreme' (which is just adding habanero cheese for $.50), and it was delicious! Strangely, they do not advertise this 'extreme' and we had to have friends tell us about it. It is the way to go! If you're ever in IN or OH, be sure to stop on by and have a four way extreme!

The staff is friendly, the food is good, it's fairly cheap, and it's a fun environment. It's always seems to be busy. We go there for quick bite to eat whenever we are in the area. My only complaint about the chili is that there is not much substance to it, but overall tastes good. Salads are good, and my boyfriend loves the cheese coneys.

Food is fast and affordable. Service is outstanding. I'm always amazed at the caliber of service. They're all good, but we've been wowed by Matt many times...

If you've never had Skyline, the chili is awesome, especially on a dawg, or in the form of the famous chili 5-way. There is also one weeknight per week that is kids night. The food is very fast, inexpensive and delicious. Oh yeah, if you don't like a good hot dog or chili 5 way, the burritos are awesome too.

If you have never tasted Skyline Chili, you are missing out on life. Straight from our southeast neighbors,Cincinnati style chili is in a class of its own. Skyline has the perfect blend of spices... a recipe debunking its secrecy lists cinnamon, unsweetened cocoa, Worcestershire, garlic, chili powder, cayenne pepper, bay leaf, cloves, salt and vinegar. And damn, what a delicious combination those spices are! It's probably an acquired taste though... when I was younger I thought the stuff was gross but I've since learned the errors of my previous ways. There are a few locations scattered about Indianapolis. I like the Greenwood one because it is closest to my home, but the others aren't bad either. And, if you don't feel like leaving home to go out and get it, you can buy it at the grocery store in a can or frozen... it tastes pretty durn good that way too! My favorite in the restaurant is the 5-way or chili dogs, but they also make a mean burrito, drenched in chili. Delicious, but don't go here expecting to eat light!

I'm ok with adding cinnamon to chili; but I think it's the only spice they have! I've had spicier chili visiting my grandma at the old folks home. So I had to add what they call "hot" sauce, and it must have aged several years beyond its shelflife, because it was rancid. I should have been scared off when I walked in... It was the largest collection of obese people I've ever seen outside of a Walmart. Unless you are someone from Ohio who longs for crappy chili spread over a pile of noodles... stay away from Skyline Chili.

I love the taste of their chili. The portions are a good size for the price as well. My wife likes the chili dogs. They are cheap and small. The taste is unlike anything else you've had. You get waited on, which is somewhat unnecessary for this style of a restaurant. But hey, I guess I don't mind helping people get a little extra cash...

I've only been once, but will not be going back. Service was alful and the chili is just terrible. It was like eating a heaping spoonful of cinnamon with just a pinch of chili. I seriously hope they messed up their recipe that day, otherwise I can see why there are never more than 2 customers at the location

Cincinnati style chili is one of my favorite meals. I've eaten it at the other 2 chain restaurants in Cincy and a hole-in-the-wall diner in downtown Cincy but my favorite location is Skyline. And, I've always had great service at the Indy southside location. Whether I've eaten inside or gone through the drive-up window the service and quality of fresh hot chili has been amazingly good. Another reviewer listed a lot of the ingredients that go in Skyline chili so I won't rehash that. I've cooked homemade Cincinnati chili using a few different recipes that include a rather large list of ingredients and it's always been awesome. But, really......Skyline Chili is just as good or in fact better. Plus, you don't have to endure your own house smelling like b.o. for a week if you make it at home. I always order the chili 5-way with spaghetti noodles, chili, onion, kidney beans and shredded cheese. The more the merrier, eh? Another reason for stopping-in at the southside Skyline Chili location? The huge inflatable Skyline Chili Dog in front. Gotta love it.
