Fireside Brewhouse Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Recently just moved to Greenwood and Fireside Brewery caught both me and my boyfriend's eye! We love craft beer so we thought this place would be a hit. We went there with my mother who had never been there before either and had less than a great experience. The service was poor, she was not rude or mean, but she just did not seem well informed at all. We even told her we had never been there before and she said "that's okay". We went on a Thursday and it was $3 pints, however she did not explain the beer specials and the beer I happened to order was not on the special and she did not inform me of that. When j asked her if Fireside brewed their own beer she told me they did not and that she did not know much about the beer there. That would have been an appropriate time to have told me that she was knew (if she even was new ). The food was okay, yea, just "okay". It wasn't amazing but it wasn't bad just okay. I had the turkey and avocado burger but my mom had chicken Alfredo which was pretty good in my opinion, however, We spent most of the time swatting the little gnats away from our table.

Turned away at the door because I had my kid with me... it's too bad they turned away people from out of the area who would've possibly given & gotten them more business. We were completely appalled, because we were through the door well before the stated time on the door for & older. It's unfortunate that their hostess & the manager on duty ruined their chances at making money. Don't go here & ruin their hipster drinkers nights by showing up before the stated 21 & over time with your kid.

Food is decent half of the time. Service is decent half of the time. The doggie day there was really great but when I have gone other times I just have not been too impressed.

This is one of my favorite places on the south side, the food is great! 20 beers on tap.. Mostly craft beers, try the blackened blue cheese burger, one of the best I've had. April and Sarah are great at the bar.. Ask for them. I have no complaints except there's no skewers at the Bloody Mary bar..

Two words..... RAW CHICKEN. Went with some friends for a little Birthday celebration. I ordered a salad, we were all sitting out on the patio. When the salad came out I took a bite and the chicken seemed cold. I took my sunglasses off to see a plate full of sliced PINK chicken. I turned it over with my fork and sure enough the center was raw. I immediately lost my appetite since I had already take a bite. I handed my plate to a server and told her the chicken wasn't cooked properly. Another server came out and said, "So you didn't like your salad?" I said, The chicken was raw. She offered to bring me something else, but I had lost my appetite and was done. I will never ever go there again, and I will definitely warn others. I am disgusted with a place that can't cook chicken properly. I also feel like they really should have apologized more, instead I was told the manager would take the meal off my check. Um, yes, of course that should happen! I think that should be a given when you serve me RAW CHICKEN.

This place has potential, but seems to squander it on WAY too expensive of standard fare dishes and sub-par musical selections for live shows. The last time we went there was an old geezer yodeling and he brought a posse of what seemed to be aged groupies with him. It was odd, off-putting, and to top it off my wife and I only had ONE appetizer (the nachos) and 2 drinks. The bill: $40. There was nothing worth $20 that we had, much less twice that. Oh, did I mention we had a GROUPON on top of the exorbitant price we paid? Talk about ridiculous pricing. Bartender didn't seem to care we were there, and when we sent the nachos back the first time because they were cold, we (incorrectly) expected them to be remade properly. Nope, they tossed the same dish into the microwave for 30 seconds, and that's exactly what it tasted like. Microwaved Walmart tortillas and dry shredded chicken topped with Kraft cheese. Save $40 and do all this at home.

What a disappointing evening. No wonder you can easily be seated on a Friday night at seven. Angie, our waitress is suffering from a serious case of not wanting to wait tables. She was not welcoming and certainly not trying to keep the doors open. She couldn't care less about good customer service. I'm not sure she even knows what that means. Thank goodness they have food runners, that much less for her to do.

Nothing really special. I have heard good things about this place, but was underwhelmed by the menu. The owner came by to check in on me and that was the best part if the experience. I would give them high marks for their beer selection, lots of bottles, local drafts, and Stella Cidre on tap. Service could improve; it was a slow Sunday, and everything seemed to be running in slow motion. Still one of the better places in Greenwood.

The most averagely mediocre Midwestern bar/grill in the state. There is nothing that sets this place apart, good or bad. Prices are high for what it is, but not high enough to throw a hissy fit. Went with a group, and got a beer, a martini, bread sticks to split, and the crawfish fettuccine. Bread sticks were made of bread. The martini was a little heavy on the vermouth but otherwise fine. The fettuccine was good until the crawfish, which tasted canned. Service was ok, but they seemed like they were pushing us out the door as we were finishing our drinks. They're re-vamping their menu, so the stuff on their website isn't 100% accurate and there are no cocktail menus at the moment. It was fine, but not good. At $10-$20 a plate I would like at least good.

I had the tilapia, they let you choose the sides and the bartender suggested the risotto. I loved the fish, but the sauce was so incredibly rich, the only thing I would've been able to eat with it would've been a bed of rice pilaf or mashed potatoes and fresh broccoli. The risotto was just too Parmesan and fake made sauce for me to appreciate. I also didn't like the AuGratin potatoes. I will definitely go back and order the tilapia again but with plain rice and plain veg. My boyfriend had the pork chop and loved it. Seemed to be extremely reasonably priced, even the drinks. We'll go back soon.

Had a groupon for this place so we tried it out at lunch. We were the only ones at the restaurant for most of the time that we were there (11am-12pm). Boyfriend got their Monday BBQ special: chicken and ribs with onion strings, baked beans, and coleslaw for $7.99. By far the cheapest thing on the menu. The waitress described this as A LOT of food, so I was expecting that. The chicken breast was on the small to medium side and there were only two ribs. Looked like a completely normal amount of food. Slightly disappointing there but again, it was only $7.99. Everything on the plate was decent, but not spectacular. I ate the onion strings and did think those were delicious. Boyfriend also ordered a side of fries and 2 Black Magic rum drinks (only $5 on Mondays). Fries were like Arby's fries, but not curly. The rum was delicious... incredibly smooth. I ordered Cajun crawfish fettuccine ($15.99). The price was on par with the rest of the menu; most things cost at least $12. Beware though, the menu doesn't tell you all the ingredients. The pasta and crawfish were delicious but strangely come with black beans and fajita vegetables on top. Once those were gone, I enjoyed the pasta and did have leftovers which helped with the price. Overall, the food was solid but nothing was great. The prices were very expensive. Portions were decent. I don't think I would go back, even with a groupon, but boyfriend might for the BBQ special since it was so cheap. They do have a lot of weekly specials, both drink and food, so that is a plus.

Worst. Service. Ever. I intended to have dinner here while in Greenwood for business. Took 10+ minutes for the host to appear and direct me to the bar when I told him I was alone and looking for a bite to eat. Bartender came by for drink order within a couple of minutes of picking a seat and I picked one of the bottled offerings that I don't see every day but that isn't particularly expensive (more on that later) and that I could see in the minifridges behind the bar. Beer was fresh and the correct temperature. And that is all I can say in this place's favor. After dropping my beer off, the bartender did everything but put on a tutu and dance Swan Lake on the bar to keep from making eye contact or coming by to a) offer a freaking menu or b) ask if I needed anything else. And so I sat...And sat...And sat. Not being one to snap my fingers at bartenders or servers, I tried the little hand / finger wave (first subtle, then dramatic), I tried the "my bottle is empty," I tried saying "Pardon me" as she flitted by doing not much of anything, but ignoring me. I tried clearing my throat. I tried pushing back from the bar like I wanted to leave. I even got up to leave (more than once). I was doing the damn hokey pokey-turn-myself-around bit, for cripes sake, to get some attention, from ANY of the servers. Bartender literally turned her back and walked away when I asked if I could get a menu when she had a moment. And FORTY+ minutes after I was served my cold beer, bartender finally asked if I wanted another. (Note: the bottle had been empty for at least 10 minutes.) It took another five minutes after I said no to get my bill. Oh, wait, I take that back, I never actually got a bill. The bartender verbally gave me a total: 7$ for a bottled beer (not including tip). Seemed fairly generous for place that didn't even offer me a glass for a beer that sells (even in mid-markets, which freaking backwater Greenwood Indiana is not) for between $3 -5.25. Anyway - I went elsewhere and had dinner. Not sure when I'll be back in Greenwood, but fairly sure that barring a zombie apocalypse, I won't bother going back to try the fireside again. ETA: I admit to fairly dying laughing when I noted management describes their goal of creating a "get-a-way" dining experience (not that I know what the bloody hell they're intending, at least gramatically). My experience? More like "Get away!"

Insanely expensive. Their appetizers cost the same as their entrees. A bowl of nachos: $15, low quality, and COLD! My husband and I were starving and couldn't even finish them they were so bad. Also, $9 for breadsticks?! All sandwiches and salads are $12-$16. We don't even see price points like this from most restaurants we frequent in Broad Ripple and downtown. Prices like that in Greenwood? Ridiculous. No wonder the place was empty for dinner! Know your target market!

The Caesar salad is very good & so was their soup of the day, corn chowder. The Alaskan crab pasta is amazing.

Selected this restaurant as a recommendation as well as Yelp reviews. The M80 Shrimp was specular. It was served very appealing and on a bed of cole slaw. Took the Bang Bang Shrimp from Bone Fish Grill to a new level. We followed this with the Pork Chop Entree. Extremely tasty as well as tender - it melted in your mouth. The service topped it off. Very attentive by Thomas. The Melon Martini was unique.

This place is ok for a quick bite. On a recent Sunday evening, the place wasn't overly busy so you could actually have a converstaion with the people at your table. They have a decent beer selection of imports and domestics. Would like to see more local craft beers on the menu but it's a good start. Food was decent at best. I'm never sure what to get here as it's all over the place from burgers and fries to steak and the whole meal deal. I setteled for a burger that was cooked to order and was very flavorful. I just never can find anything here that says I have to order this every time and not want to stray. Always looking for something better. This is a good spot to grab a drink after work though!

My husband and I enjoy coming here every once in a while. The atmosphere is nice and it is family-friendly. The prices are decent and the food is good. The menu has a decent variety of food options ranging from salads, pizzas, pasta, burgers and steaks. The pork chop and the tilapia are both great options.

We ate here twice when we lived in the area... the first time we ordered some nachos and they were really good, although incredibly expensive at about $18. We went again a few months later (this summer) and had them again only to find that they were nothing like what we had the first time... nothing tasted very good, including stale chips. They were still just as expensive, and to top it off the server seemed like he couldn't care less we were there.

Celebrating 7 years, this restaurant has an awesome beer selection on tap and the M-80 shrimp appetizer is a must. The bone in pork chop entree has a very unique flavor that I couldn't get enough of. Great atmosphere, clean, well attended by staff and bartender. Outdoor seating looked comfortable. Will definitely be back.

Nice, cozy atmosphere here - lots of windows and fireplaces! I like the openness of the restaurant also. However, this creates a problem! The food has to travel a long way from the kitchen to the table. My husband's salmon arrived cold. We reported this to the waitstaff, were told to tell someone else, and finally were told to WAIT for the manger to send it back! Meanwhile, my husband was getting very hungry. (His Crab Risotto was hot and very good!) When the salmon was returned, it was exactly the same temp, but it had had more pico de gall placed on top of it. (He'd ordered that on the SIDE.) My husband was starting, go he gave up and ate it. Excellent flavor though. My Parmesan Encrusted Tilapia and Risotto were hot and wonderful. The steamed mixed vegetables were a little too garlicy for my tastes, but that's OK. After dinner, I was looking into the kitchen and noticed that the cooked food is placed on an open area with no heat lamps or protective walls around the area. A draft from the front door could also chill the food. So, that and the long path to deliver food - of course the food gets chilled! So, why don't they use plate covers like dining cars on trains used to use?

We have always enjoyed going to Fireside Brewhouse. Their food has always been good and they have interesting menu items such as "The Dude," which is literally a deep fried burger filled with molten cheese. We always order the M-80's (Fireside's version of Bang-Bang shrimp) and have never been disappointed. This is a good place to go to hang out with friends or to catch a game.

Have been wanting to try this place for a while. Finally stopped and got 2 burgers (thought that would probably be a specialty of a brewhouse) the server chelsea was excellent and friendly. That was the only good part of this establishment. They seem to have put 90 percent of the planning into the esthetic features and 10 percent into the menu. Nice looking place, terrible food. The burger was reminiscent of and perhaps was a frozen patty. It was bland except for a layer of a moist seasoning slop on top of my burger. It was served on generic gordon foods marble rye bread. Only positives were the over easy egg was well cooked and the thousand island dressing was plentiful which added some flavor to the bland patty. Nice place to drink a beer. But don't bother with the "grill".

Soggy bread burger dripping down my arm. Cooks can't follow simple orders. Only after they blame the waitress. Manager doesn't care. Will not be going back.

This is a type of place locals usually go to. Very family run biz and they have specials on kids meals which is great for families. I ordered their steak Cobb salad for lunch. It was very pricey in my opinion. I ended up paying about $18 including tax. The steak was very tough and almost impossible to chew. However, the portion was huge. The bacon, crumbled blue cheese and pecans were delicious.

Came in tonight and used the banquet room to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday. The crew was very helpful and attentive. Food was awesome. Can't beat the beer selection either. Check them out!

Kids at home - Friday night this week 3/20/15 - M80 wings were great (extra crispy - perfect!). But both wife and daughter sandwich was just ok. Next day we had coupon for fast foot and my daughter said her sandwich was better from fast food restaurant. (She is 28 yrs old married with her own children) Fire side has a great place and perfect opportunity to reach others. I feel they need to consider food price and quality of food. I want it to be good.

Have stopped by twice in past month for lunch. Service has been prompt and everyone is friendly. Had the Tuna sandwich. It is excellent! Large portion served on toast. Can't beat the value for what you receive with the Tuna. Highly recommend.

In town for the holidays visiting family. Looked at the menu online and it seemed like a place that could please everyone from my 90-something grandmother to me, the vegetarian. I ordered the egg salad sandwich that is listed on the menu as 'not your mother's egg salad' it comes with pesto and spinach. I thought - this sounds delicious and somewhat healthy. My sandwich arrives and I see tiny pink things in it. This is the south side of Indy so I thought - 'my lawd, could this be meat?!' I tasted it and yes, it was meat. Tasted like bacon and after some back and forth with the server who said it wasn't and then checked with the kitchen - its bacon. Our sever and the manager were very apologetic about it. Asked to bring me something else but there wasn't anything else on the menu that sounded good. So, they both told me the would take my sandwich off the bill. I figured that went without saying seeing as I didn't even have one bite of it. If I did eat bacon, this would have been the best egg salad ever. But, since I don't, it was a huge bust. There are lots of people that don't eat pork for a variety of reasons. I hope they update their menu to mention the egg salad with pesto and spinach also has diced bacon.

As a whole the brewhouse was a great, food and service were pretty great and we had no complaints about anything. They do have gluten free options, and are more than happy to help make substitutions if need be.

In all honesty I cannot believe this place only has 3 stars overall. My wife and I just moved back to Indy and wound up here on our first night out since we welcomed our first child. We will be regulars! In short, good food, good atmosphere, good drink selection and great service. It was close and I knew they had a full bar. We were welcomed by the staff and a manager when we walked in. They asked us if we wanted to sit in the bar or the family section.. to the bar we went. I cannot remember our waitresses name but she was quick to greet us and make chatter about various subjects. As we hadn't been here we asked for some suggestions about stuff we could split. We wound up with a Don Julio Margarita and a glass of Makers 46. They took a few minutes to come out but were made well. The margarita was expensive since it was top shelf, but it was a good value for the money compared to other places. We took our waiters advice and ended up ordering a half order of BBQ Pork nachos... They were good size and did not disappoint. I can only imagine how big the full order would be!! Be advised, if you ask for extra bbq sauce or sour cream they have to charge you.. This always annoys me.. but they need to keep track of things. A week after our first venture here we went back for a 'family' dinner. I had the chipotle blackened chicken and my wife had the pork tenderloin. They were both very good and well sized.. I wanted to get some veggies but nothing tickled my fancy so I ended up with French Fries.. Wow - they were very good! Good seasoning and crispy the way we like them. When we walked in this time our waitress from the first time was at the front .. she immediately recognized us and that we brought the kid this time. Can't ask for much more than that. We are fans! The food can get a little expensive.. but its not an applebees, chilis or chain place.. its good food

Ok, this restaurant would get a 2.5 star rating, if possible, because they have a quite grand, magnificent and favorite dish of mine, as well as one of the most nasty and deplorable constructs of food carbons ever to sit before me on a plate... so I'd love to throw my vote right there in the middle at 2.5. I've been stopping in at Fireside for years now, as I am very often times in the beautiful town of Greenwood for business. My favorite dish, fo sho, is the M-80 shrimp! They are stacked in a cone shaped container, flash fried, and then flooded with a delicious sweet chili and garlic sauce... mmmm. I am sure it existed somewhere else beforehand, but this was really the first time that I've had a "buffalo" type shrimp, which is really what it is... VERY good though and a good enough reason by itself to keep me a comin. Now...... The Dude. Oh good god. The first time I was there, I asked the waitress to recommend a popular dish, and she says, "oh, you all would love The Dude, it's a fried burger... very good!"...... so, I am thinking ok, a fried burger patty on a bun doesn't sound healthy, but what the hell... I am in the mid-west, the epicenter of fried everything, so here goes... The Dude arrives at the table, and at first I am confused... I ask the waitress why she has brought me a large doughnut with french fries. She looks at me like I am an idiot, and says "what you talkin bout? thats a burger in there!"... and so it was. An entire burger... meat, lettuce, tomato, bun, and dressings... DEEP FRIED. I took only a couple bites and was instantly stuffed, and well, just feeling sick... I once thought the Monte Cristo was the world's most unhealthy sandwich, well, it has been eclipsed by the dude, whichhas got to be 10,000 calories PER BITE. BOTTOM LINE: Eat a few M80 shrimp for a good time... munch on the dude if you've decided that today is the day you would like to die from cardiac arrest.

In town visiting family and I saw this place right down the street from the hotel so we decided we would try it. First impression is very good, the place is nice with a fairly nice large bar and nice modern decor. There is a family dining area that is completely separate from the bar area. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive, and seemed to know the food menu fairly well. Unfortunately our waitress knew very little about the beer menu. The food was decent, even if a bit overpriced. We shared a couple of dishes from the "small plate menu", which is deceiving because the serving sizes were huge. We got the nachos and the potato wedges, both were pretty good. Now on to the beer menu... If you are going to call yourself a brewhouse you should probably have more than 16 beers on tap. 16 taps and at least half of them were dedicated to macro beers, and of the craft selections most were fairly boring offerings. Sun King Cream Ale & Goose Island 312 Urban Wheat were the highlights of the tap list. The bottle list was slightly more extensive, but also not very imaginative. Overall, the place was OK at best, but I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a good beer with their dinner. They should either rethink the beer menu or remove "Brewhouse" from their name...

Great place for lunch or dinner. Must have the M-80s-spicy shrimp. I had a turkey wrap and salad. They were yummy. My hubby had the breaded tenderloin-it was fantastic. We will definitely be back even though the lady in the next booth was griping about everyone in her family. She must be an unhappy person. She, however, liked her meal. Thank God for that.

I ate here with a group. The staff was friendly and quick. The portions are good and the prices are slightly above average. I ordered the ribs with sweet potato fries. I was really disappointed. The ribs were tough and very fatty. The fries didn't taste fully cooked and were spongy. There were several great meals ordered by those in our group. So in short the place has some good dishes... Just not the ribs and sweet potato fries.

The beer selection is really good here, I'm a loyal Sun King drinker and I'm pleased when I can get Osiris on tap anywhere. The food is pretty good too. I had the Parmesan Crusted Tilapia and it was delicious. I'm pretty sure I had steamed artichokes too, maybe as part of an appetizer, and they were excellent as well. It never appears to be busy when I drive by, which is worrisome. I know the location is a bit out of the way, and was where the huge Bass Pro Shops or whatever was supposed to go in that pulled out. I hope that business picks up for them, it's a nice place.

Fireside is a little pricey, and the food is just slightly above average. What they do have is a great beer selection. My favorite thing about Fireside is that they seat the families away from the bar, tucked in the corner. I love the fact that I do not have to watch what I am saying and do not have to endure the sounds/smells that accompany small children. No crying babies!

This place has been up and down over the last couple of years. The staff is always great but sometimes the food has been lackluster. However, during a recent big worldcup game, the place had it playing and the audio on. Plenty of local beers on tap, including taxman, sunking, quaff on, daredevil and a few more. Always happy to see local breweries supported. Getting better.

Went here for a business lunch last week, and I was excited to go. I've always wanted to stop here because the building is gorgeous and the patio looks inviting as your traveling down County Line. The service was blah. She actually picked up everyone's menu and was ready to leave before she realized she had not taken my order :( The person we dined with order the M-80 shrimp and I understand its to die for. I went with the calamari and it was delicious!! I loved every bite. I also had a side ceasar salad and it was okay - nothing to write home about. The other party ordered the mongo burger - yep the 1 pound deep fried monster. He ate about 1/2 of it and said it was pretty good but not something you'd do again. I'd imagine its like eating deep fried pepsi at the state fair - maybe once, but definitely not twice! I think I'll give them another try.....

Just wanted to say how tasty the Veg Head sandwich is. I'm not a vegetarian but had it today and loved it! Grilled portabellas with tomato, avocado & onion. The best parts are the goat cheese spread and the deep fried spinach cake. Like a crab cake, but with spinach (and no crab). Anyway, I'd highly recommend it! And if you're not into veggies, the steaks topped with blue cheese are pretty good too!

This place is just a mess. First of all, it's an odd place to have a DJ and a disco ball. Calling it a "brewhouse" is a bit of a stretch, as they don't make any beer. They have a good draft selection, but this is 2012, and so do most bars that don't have "sports," or "gentlemen's," in their name. The food is forgettable and the service is below-average. The owners clearly put a lot of time and money into the restaurant, but nice bathrooms and furniture are forgotten if the product is substandard. I'll go back to a dive with great food and service before I'll go back to a palace with overpriced food and service that is average to below average. It's like some athletes: A ten cent brain in a million dollar body.

I have been here twice, and both time it was been mediocre. The food and service alike are nothing special and not horrible at the same time. The menu is overpriced, limited selection, and nothing great to offer apart from any other restaurant. It's too bad too because I really like the ambiance, there is a huge bar in the middle and some firepits, and in the summer there is a nice patio. Despite that- the prices are high for adequate so-so food/service. Last time i was there they awkwardly had a DJ fire up some dance music and karaoke busted out of nowhere while i was eating dinner- I thought I was at a restaurant here??! Try it once, but you likely won't be back.

My wife, mother-in-law and I ate at Fireside for dinner this past Monday. This is our choice of restaurants for a warm, cozy setting. We all split the great M-80's for the appetizers. This shrimp dish has the right amount of heat and wonderful flavor. We then had their version of the patty melt which came with an egg to order on the sanddwhich. This is the first time I've ever had an egg on a hamburger but I did enjoy the flavor it added. I asked for over medium but got over easy which wasn't a big deal just not the way ordered. The sandwhich was outstanding regardless. I will definitely order this again and will continue to dine at Fireside.

I really like this place. I have had good experiences with the quality of food. However, I do have a few negatives. First of all, in the last two times I have been there I have witnessed an argument between two staff members. It wasn't at all a huge disruption but enough that I noticed and felt a little awkward. The other thing that bothered me was that the last two times I have been there I have observed a staff person drinking on the job. It was the bartender. Now, I am not in the restaurant business and never have been but I gotta think that that is a bit unprofessional. It was the same guy both times that I saw do it. He kept pouring himself drink after drink. I don't know, maybe this happens more often in other restaurants but I have never witnessed it before. After seeing it two times by the same person I may not go back. The food wasn't good enough to make up for the lack of professionalism.

The place overall is pretty nice. Food was average and a little pricey for the location and what they offer. Not really sure if its a sports bar or restaurant but we would be willing to try it again. Not bad but nothing really setting it apart.

LOVED the place! Awesome tasting food at very reasonable cost. (could be because I had horrible lunch today?) Pork chop - Nicely done at medium well. I thought it was as good as Ditka's pork chop in Chicago. Asparagus that came with the dish was overdone and not as fresh. Side salad - Loved it! BBQ Pizza - So so... Quality of cheese was not that great. Alligator bits - Liked it a lot :-) Chocolate cake - Good, but I had better. Match stick - It's like stick-shaped donuts with dipping sauce. Addictive. Pecan pie - Okay... Coffee - Hmm, very lightly brewed. But I guess this place is more of beer place and coffee place. Service person was EXCELLENT, which made the dining experience a pleasant one. I'll definitely return!

This place has bad service. Here in a slow night and set at bar. No service for 14 minutes. Then moved to a table and waited 10 more minutes. I would go some where else. The management has changed and this place is a big disappointment.

I have been here sevearl times and have always had a good experience! Food is good, great selection of beers and the atmosphere is always upbeat and entertaining. I also love that they have a small dance floor with a dj. Nothing better than gettin my grove on after dindin:)

The food here is pretty good - the M-80s are absolutely delicious! We had the "Cool Hand Luke" which is a hamburger that they completely deep-fry (not just the meat) and the "Mongo Burger" (1 lb). Both were really good. The Wild Blue beer, which is blueberry flavored was very good too. Our waiter was attentive and friendly as well.

Stopped in this evening to grab a bite to eat and some beer. It was craft/import night (pints @ 3.75), so I ordered a couple of Landsharks and the grilled tenderloin. I sat at the bar, and the bartender was attentive and friendly without being intrusive; she took my order quickly and kept my beer glass refilled. The tenderloin came in short order and was grilled perfectly--warm and tender without any charring. The toppings were on the side so I could build it as I pleased, and the fries were tasty--not too many, not too few. Overall, the food was worth the money, and the service was efficient without being effusive. My only complaint was the off-duty employee who was sitting near me and being obnoxious. A lot of bars have policies that staff are not to drink on the premises, even when off duty--or, at the least, they shouldn't advertise they work there. Fireside would be wise to adopt this policy.

Food was OK, overpriced. Service was TERRIBLE. Waitress came to our table while talking on her cell phone. Probably won't go back.

I've been here a few times. I'd say that's enough to know that this place isn't for me, even if they have an excellent selection of beer on tap (Bell's Two-Hearted Ale always makes me happy). But overall, the food is not that great and overpriced to boot. They have a shrimp appetizer that vaguely resembles the Bang Bang Shrimp from Bonefish Grill. It's by far the tastiest thing I tried. The BBQ pizza left a lot to be desired, but I compare that with the BBQ pizza from Faux Real Pizza (an old pizza joint that used to be located where The Bosphorus is now located). Also, the Texas BBQ sandwich is completely false advertisement. It did not taste like slow cooked beef brisket, but instead skirt steak with BBQ seasonings and sauce. It was chewy and tough. C'mon!

I ordered the BBQ Chili Mac and have been craving it ever since. I need to get back there and have it again.

Went back for a Saturday night dinner... The booths were empty and my party of 4 was sat square in the middle of their potential dance floor. I am assuming this is a dance floor as there was a dj in a booth next to us and everyone was watching him... The nachos were great, along with the spicy M-80 Shrimp, & Swamp Chicken (alligator) so no complaints on the food here! The server seemed distracted and uninterested. Fireside I want to like you, no I want to love you. You are close, convenient, independent. Get your service staff up to par with your food!!!

The place didn't seem very busy when we walked in, but they seated us in the back room which was Pretty secluded from the rest of the restaurant. I ordered a glass of Zinfandel which was decent. My boyfriend on the other hand couldn't find a beer they weren't out of. Took him 6 tries and the waitress finally brought her recommendation which wasn't even good. Then comes the food. I ordered a grilled shrimp skewer, corn on the cob, and a side salad. Took about 30 minutes for that to come out and it wasn't very good at all!! Needless to say, I probably won't be back any time soon!

Beer and Atmosphere top the Qualities ! The Beer list is wonderful and the Atmosphere in the Bar area is open so you are not piled on top of each other. High top and regular tables in the Bar area gives you a nice choice. My advice would be not to order a drink from the bar, this is NOT the forte of this place and the skill of a good bartender is missing. The appetizers are better than the full meals that I have had. I have visited this Brewhouse on 4 or 5 occasions. Meeting up with friends for beers and chatter would be my recommendation over a dinner. They do have a couple desserts on the menu for the person that likes to indulge. ( I am that person so thumbs up on the desserts.) The service on my first couple trips was above the normal and then the waiter I had on both trips moved off to the west coast and I have never felt "cared" for in any special way since. I must admit "service" is the key for me. If I am given friendly and cared for service I reward well, and it makes a moderately good meal a very good meal....so this place could only score three stars for the okay food and the service added nothing to it. I would go for a beer and conversation but not on the top of my places and it makes me kinda sad as I think the potential is there to make it a "regular" place and I have given it plenty of times to prove me wrong and so far it hasn't.

So my wife and I went here about three years ago and haven't been back since. This place just has average food for too much cost, the atmosphere has a kind of boring feel to it, the staff was not all there and flies flying all around the area we were sitting, all over the ceiling and lights. So like I said, this was like three years ago, have they changed? I doubt it. Good luck with your experience here, you'll need it!

Did you know? Fireside offers much more than bar food. It has well designed, unique plates that incorporate global flavors. To start, we had the shrimp small plate. Whatever they put it in it, they are probably just as good or even better than Bang Bang shrimp. Its crispy, sweet, sour, tangy, a bit spicy, and oh so yum in your stomach. We also had gotten the mushrooms where they cover it with spinach and cheese. Those were ok. They tasted fine, but not to die for. I ordered the pork chop pictured on the menu. The flavors reminded me of a jamaican jerk fused with fruity, citrusy flavors. Sweet and savory. They were also bone-in which makes them extra juicy. I had substituted my mashed potatoes with mac and cheese, which was a bad mistake. It wasn't the southern style elbow mac, but penne with melted, shredded cheese on top. Don't get it. Overall, the appetizers were good. Entrees were delicious. Reising was not as sweet as I wanted, but still good food, good service. I'm a fan.

Was only there once. The food was good but the atmosphere was terrible. We got seated near the kitchen and it was loud and the wait staff used our area as their main traffic route to the dining room. It felt cramped and stuffy. The food was tasty though. I had one of their burger specials and it was cooked and topped well. The appetizers were also creative and different but tasted good. We might go back to try it and ask that we not be seated in the same area to see if that might improve my experience.

I happily went to have a sitdown in Greenwood. Dinner with the wife is always pleasant! Here is the rundown, since I don't drink food skills are more acute..... Alligator with a spicy rumalade was to die for! You must order it! By the way the big lebowski lives and breathes here in the deep fried, yes I said deep fried velveeta cheeseburger. The name of this beast ...... "the dude" Go here enjoy the food watch the people it is well worth it.

Hey if love to burn $100 bills in your fireplace you will LOVE Fireside. This place gives me mixed feelings and I think it goes back to other reviews regarding the prices charged at Fireside Brewhouse. First thing, I don't go there for the beer or the bar, so I have no comment on that part of the restaurant. I went here three times for the food. First the good part, the place is very nice and has a great modern décor. Second positive, I had one really good turkey sandwich. Now for the negatives about Fireside Brewhouse. First negative is the price. You cannot have inconsistent quality and average service and charge high prices. My first turkey sandwich was great and the second one seems to be different from the first one and not so good. All three times I was there the service from the wait staff was average to below average. The last straw on price was a $14.00 chef salad for my wife. She ordered two types of dressing for this salad and when I got the bill they charged me extra for the second salad dressing. Now really!!! Fireside you are going to do add on charges for a $14.00 salad. You don't even get a roll or anything it is just a salad for $14.00 and Fireside thinks it is great customer service to add on an additional charge for a second small amount of dressing. This is not even in house homemade dressing. Most likely comes from those large plastic jars they spend like $10 a piece for. The next thing was we wanted a pizza and the oven went down yesterday. Fireside you really don't have someone on call for a situation like this. If you want great sandwiches and awesome salads that are better quality and $3-4 cheaper and really fast service, just go to the great Italian restaurant in the Kroger strip mall across the street. I will never be back to this place again. There are too many other restaurants out there that get it and provide great consistent products, service and value to waste time and money on this place again.

We enjoyed our dinners - chop salad, catfish, quesadillas, crab linguine. Calamari was a little too crunchy, as were the hushpuppies that came with the fish. Turn down that fryer!

Food was fairly good but took 30 minutes to bring a salad, ear of corn and skewer of grilled shrimp. They advertise having over 100 beers but didn't have the first 7, yes 7, that I requested from their menu. Overall, just "meh"

Not busy at lunch. SLOW service. The breaded tenderloin is terrible, processed manufactured something. Relatively expensive. Good fries. Good beer.

I generally love this place and the food is great. However, I came in at 12:00am and even though the staff was enough to accomidate the patrons, I and a few other customers had to wait 10 plus minutes to pay our bills at the bar while our cash/debit cards sat ready as 1 bartender chatted up ladies and the other could have been doing appropriate things, who knows. When the bartender brought my check he said nothing to me, no thank you, of course. Dinner is the only time I would come here, maybe cause it's the only time management is here

For bar food, they do a good job. The grilled tenderloin was yummy. And I would recommend the spicy shrimp for an appetizer.

I was there a few weeks ago with some friends. I thought the food was pretty good, their beer selection is great as was the service. They were getting ready to do a menu change and were out of several menu options which was a bit of a disappointment.

We came in fairly early on a Saturday night; wasn't very crowded at all. Adequate table service but food took a long time to arrive. Appetizers, especially the 42nd Street Speakeasy 'Shrooms, were great. But the entrees were only average. I had the Alaskan Snow Crab Linguini and I felt a litte ripped off; although the sauce was tasty and the pasta cooked correctly there was almost no crab and the shrimp were tiny. The rest of the party said their entries were pretty good but not awesome. It was an OK experience but I probably won't make it a destination.

Marvelous! Greenwood has needed a great restaurant like this for a long time! Their upscale environment and entertainment make this restaurant a hit with everyone - as you can tell by the crowd every night. It my husband and I's favorite place to go now (we've been at least 5 times since they opened this summer - and that is saying a lot considering we really try not to eat out a whole lot). Their beer list is phenomenal and well priced as is their menu! Not only is this a great place to eat - it is locally owned and has a great atmosphere - not too loud - not too quiet - good music - great service. We highly recommend the appetizers - the little pizzas are amazing as are their angus nibblers! Definitely a must try on the southside!

Suburbians-that-think-they-are-cool-atmosphere and who ever has reviewed this place has (1) been drunk or (2) don't have a clue about what great food really tastes like! Who ever is pouring at the bar needs to seriously learn how to make a gin and tonic! it has more water and ice than gin and a hint of tonic - seriously by the time the server brought it to me most of the ice was melted! Go for the beer and skip the hard liquor as all three drinks had a splash of gin! Heck skip this place in general as it is not worth the price instead go to O'Charleys. We debated over which one to go to and were totally swayed by the bogus reviews on Yelp. Lucky them I was just traveling through. This place was also reccomended by the desk clerk at the Hilton Garden Inn - trust me she got my thoughts and apologised and said she would no longer tell people to go here. So the best revenge is word of mouth.

Heard about this place as winning some best of of the southside. If this is the best the southside has to offer, then I will stick with our fantastic northside restaurants. Atmosphere is good but cant say the same for the food. Not once, but TWICE, the $23 steak special I ordered came to me lukewarm to cool. That included the potatoes and beans. Steaks should be sizzling when they arrive at the table (see Mortons, Eddie Merlots, Ruth's, et al). Mine couldn't even melt the butter that was on top. As for the beans, van camps from the can are better. I expect some specialness if you are going to serve them with a new york strip. On the plus side, the M80s and alligator appetizers were good, particularly the slaw served with the shrimp. Beer selection is plentiful, but more expensive than any brewhouse I have ever been in. Maybe would have to try the cheeseburger if I was to ever return, but that is not looking likely. La Trattoria is the best southside restaurant despite what the awards would say...
