Dining here was the worst experience in terms of service, I have ever had in my life. While visiting family we went to Rocky River Tap and Table mainly because they have gluten free items on their menu. From the moment we sat down, our server (don't know his name), a thin guy with dark hair, not young, but not old, treated our party of 6 with the most unexpected rudeness. He practically refused to answer any questions about the food and when he did respond, it was in the most demeaning way possible. No follow-up throughout the service such as refilling water glasses, asking how things are going, if we needed anything else, etc. When we asked for a container to take leftover food home, he literally threw one on the table. Giving 2 stars because the gluten free fish tacos were good. Not delicious, but tasty. Other members of the party had mixed reviews of the food, none of us thought it was so wonderful that even with the poor service we would return.

Rocky River is one my new favorite restaurants! This past weekend I took my mom for Mother's Day and it was perfect for the occasion. Great hamburgers and rotator beer offerings!

If not for our waitress we would have given 1 star. Not one item we had met diner standards let alone a farm to table setting. To summarize, a kale roasted root veg salad with almost no dressing and what looked like 2 colors of beets cut into the tiniest squares that had little flavor and 4 small pieces of feta. Chicken pot pie, crust looked nice but the filling was clear liquid with few vegetables and raw slimy bottom crust. This was sent back and replaced with perch piccata that come out with a light breading that fell off, a tiny amount of tasty sauce with 3 capers. 3 small roasted potatoes that were almost black and cold and a small serving of decent vegetables. This fish was almost inedible and fried not sautéed. The manager came out and apologized for the pot pie with some strange explanation about the sauce being too warm when they made it? If not for my wife's issues with her food I probably would have sent my Sriracha chicken sandwich back. The first bite actually squeaked and was rubbery like the chicken was microwaved. So much guacamole that the bacon and bun were soggy and there was only a hint of heat and no other seasoning. The fries were overdone and mostly small pieces of what you may toss aside if you were making good fries. We can't find anything to recommend at this restaurant.

Both hit and miss with our dining experience here. Located in the former Tilted Kilt location and has been remodeled. Open and airy feel, looks new inside. Dined outdoors which had a very nice vibe. Somewhat limited menu but I get it due to the "farm to table" theme. Hubs and I shared the Duck Nachos. Not a fan honestly. Very little duck meat and other toppings were sparse and not tasty at all. He had a burger that he said was really good and I had the pork shoulder pulled pork sandwich. I can say both sandwiches were very good but the fries on both were cold and somewhat greasy. Had a Pineapple Margarita which was really good and hubs had a beer and a Moscow Mule which were both very good as well. Shared the "Banana's Foster Cake" for dessert which tasted a little freezer burned. Server really didn't know much about the menu when we asked her questions since it was our first visit although she was friendly so may just have been new. All in all I wouldn't say it was a bad experience, just in my opinion didn't live up to my hopes for this place this trip. We'll def try it again and hope it's a total "hit" next time.

Stereotypical overpriced "gastropub" concept. Too much money for not enough food. I mean, it's pretty good, but whatever.
(3)Sarah M.
Boring food and loud acoustics. Service was slow and creepy management walked around staring at customers but helping no one.

I had the Caesar salad with Salmon, the salmon was cooked perfectly med rare It was a terrific salad! Great beer and whiskey selection and wait staff is friendly too
(4)Mel B.
The dish did not meet it's name or description... Chicken carbonara... Had some goop in the middle on top of it.. Only. Red peppers and mushrooms no other vegtables.. Bland sauce, couldn't taste any pancetta... Chicken over cooked... This is not a brewery.... Yes they serve other craft beers and other Brewers.... First time yelp didn't come through

My family brought me here for my birthday last year and it was a really lovely experience. The food and restaurant feel a little more upscale, but without being stuffy. We brought a toddler and they were really friendly and accommodating, even though it was a busy night. I don't think I'd bring a toddler or a baby again during peak times though. As for the food, it was delicious. It was fresh and flavorful and made for a wonderful birthday treat. I look forward to going back for more special occasions!

What a seriously awesome experience I had here. In fact, eating here was one of the best dining experiences I have had in a really long time. They did it ALL right. I came here with my husband and two daughters to celebrate closing on our new house. Plus, their beer taps are plentiful, and as a beer geek this is a must when I'm choosing a special occasion place to go out to. When we walked in, we were greeted by two friendly hosts that let us sort of take it all in before they directed us to our spot. Its a comfortable clean lobby with fresh light colors and some interesting chalkboard art that tells a little about the business. I really liked how it didn't seem like they were trying too hard to be "cool" yet, it was cool for sure. We came in around 7 (a late dinner for our kids) and greeted by an awesome waitress (I WISH I COULD REMEMBER HER NAME!!) She could tell our kids were hungry and suggested an appetizer that came out quick and that everyone loved. We got the fresh (I think baked) mozzarella which came in a little boat dish with some bread to put it on. It was gooey and seasoned and delicious. Melted cheese on bread?? Whats not to love?? Dinner was just as delightful. Everything was hot, on time, and GONE at the end of the meal... we had no left overs! :) When offered a free dessert in congrats for our new house, we gladly picked the salted caramel and fudge brownie with ice cream. It was to die for and perfect for sharing between the four of us. I can't wait to go back again and again to this awesome establishment that made us feel so welcome, comfortable, and satisfied with our experience! :)

Such good flavors at this place! It has a pleasant enough atmosphere. Was a little empty when I went.

After a whole day of golf, my friends took us here for dinner on a Saturday (Memorial Day weekend)...maybe it was the time we showed up (530pm) but it was pretty quiet in there. My friends said it's generally crowded on here but I'm guessing the crowd comes later. Service was good. Parking outside in the lot. This restaurant is in a plaza with other businesses as well. My husband started with their ceasar salad which he thought was not that good. I liked it, but he said the croutons taste funny and it didnt meet his expectation. We all had a plate of cheese and sausages as starters. I thought that was okay. For entree I had the grilled chicken sriracha club- The grilled chicken was okay, I like the extras that came with it though (onions, guacamole, bacon, etc). I had it with fries - these fries were very crispy because they fry it twice. I didn't like it that much. My husband had their Rocky River burger which I thought taste better than my sandwich. He didn't like the fries either. The kids we were with had their hush puppies... the restaurant gave them crayons and a sheet to color to keep them occupied. Overall this is an okay place.

Our first and only experience wasn't that great. We visited in June on a late Sunday afternoon. We weren't sure it was open at first as the parking lot didn't have any cars. When we walked in, only a few patrons were in the restaurant. We found out quickly why. The air conditioning was broken. After we received our drinks we asked the waitress if something was going on with the A/C and she admitted it was broken. We felt bad for her as she was clearly sweating and looked exhausted. Despite this, she gave us excellent service. The food was pretty tasteless and we only ate a quarter of our meal because we just felt sick to our stomaches. I know things happen so we may try again at some point but haven't had the urge to return yet.
(2)Amy H.
I've now been here numerous times and I feel compelled to update my review. My experience has definitely been hit or miss and the food has been inconsistent. Our most recent visit was an early Sunday evening. It wasn't busy and we were seated right away. Service was very slow. We were sitting in the bar with the bartender as our server and it felt like he kept forgetting about us which I could understand if the bar was busy, but it wasn't. We started with the goat cheese small plate which we loved the first time we had it. What a disappointment - the serving was significantly smaller and had a pitiful sprinkling of veggies on top. We actually opted to leave after the appetizer and our drinks. I'm sure we will still give it another chance (we have a gift card to use!), but really hope they work out the inconsistencies.

I am a little on the fence on this place. So far me and my fiance have been here twice and each time the dishes have been rather hit or miss. Trip Numero Uno: Goat Cheese and Peppers flatbread. We should have known not to order this when are server said she'd never seen it before. The flavor combination just didn't work for either of us and textually wasn't very appealing. Beat Salad. Fiance ordered this and loved it...I can't comment since I didn't try it but I trust her judgement. Rocky River Burger. WAY undercooked. I ordered it medium and it was straight up seared and raw...not good. Trip Numero Dos: Beat Salad. $$ Chicken Parm Sandwich. Really good and a huge boost up from the burger. Service both times was pretty solid but nothing to write home about.
(3)Derek W.
Okay, yes there are televisions. And yes the ambiance is "sports bar." Sorry folks: this is Michiana, and it is incredibly hard for a non-chain to survive without these things. But oh my god do these chefs understand the "chaining of flavors" from one ingredient to the other. Take for example the olive appetizer: kalamata and cerignola olives, bacon, marcona almonds, in a "vinaigrette" of sweet blackcurrant wine and bacon fat. The umame of the bacon brings out the duskiness of the olives, but the brilliance of the brine and nuttiness of the almonds keeps it from being too brooding. Just one example. The honeycrisp apple salad is another. Ask to be seated as far from the tvs as you can (not easy) and if there are overly noisy patrons, politely ask them to settle down. This kind of food is hard to come by even in Chicago; don't turn your nose up at it here.
(4)Renee S.
Sitting at the bar, service top notch with Nick. This is how it should be. Asked for and missed JD, much better experience though! :). Please don't look much into my last review, it must've been a fluke. We will continue sitting at the bar though.
(5)Johnerick R.
Food was delicious. Absolutely loved my Lake Perch sandwich and fries. My friend enjoyed the beer samples offered by the bartender. Atmosphere is good and so is the service. We felt very welcomed considering my friend and I were out-of-town visitors. I highly recommend this place.
(5)Debbie K.
Amazing find...locally grown and sourced food and craft beer!! Quality and delicious food and very friendly wait staff! Looking forward to another visit during our next trip to ND!
(5)Elisabeth J.
Everything was great, had duck nachos, burger, shredded pork sandwich and flatbread. Fresh and tasty-well worth the trip of the highway. Friendly, great service.
(5)Michael S.
Great food and service. Very fresh. I like it a lot and bar tenders make me feel funny. I'll be attending again.
(5)Becky T.
Absolutely delicious! I've been waiting a while to stop in and we were in the area tonight and decided to give it a try. Everyone in the family loved it - and I have some picky eaters :-) I had the chicken mushroom cavatappi and it was so good - the chicken was tender and flavorful as was the sauce. What I really liked is that the sauce wasn't too heavy - something I always try to avoid with a cream sauce. My husband had the steak sandwich and was very happy with the äu jus and said it was one of the best he's had in the area. Our kids kept it simple with chicken tenders and buttered noodles but both of them (along with my husband) loved the fries. It was surprisingly quiet which was a nice surprise. We'll definitely be back and I can't wait to try the other items on the menu!
(5)Whitnie E.
I really loved this place, as I have loved most of their other restaurants/bars as well. My parents took me here, as they have come to really enjoy coming here for a drink and an appetizer. The bartenders knew their name and had their drinks up and ready before they even ordered them. That is great service! We tried a few different appetizers, and none of them disappointed. The bar mix is delicious, with a melange of popcorn, nuts, etc. We also tried to risotto fritters, which were warm melty little puffs of heaven. The pork belly was salty, fatty (and I mean that in the best possible way), and savory. It was served atop a warm goo of jalapeño polenta. It was good, but I wish it would have been a tad bit spicier ;) I had a nice glass of pinot noir to accompany these treats, and I liked that they let me try the wine before getting a whole glass. I liked the atmosphere- very open, with a modern feel to it. I believe the bar was concrete, which was a cool touch. Next time I am in town, I definitely want to come back here and try out some more plates and maybe even a specialty drink that they feature.
(5)Angie K.
I've been to Rocky River a few times. I really like their level of transparency about where their ingredients come from! They also have a great beer selection, and the few menu items I've tried have been delicious! We'll definitely be back!
(4)Comebackshane F.
Amazing service perfectly complements the fantastic food. BBQ DUCK nachos, pork porterhouse, wife had the chicken pot pie, shared an apple pie for dessert. We didn't want to stop eating. And Krista is a top shelf aerver. Seriously amazing.
(5)Shannon N.
A mismatch between food and ambiance. These guys are up on food trends: local meets health meets comfort meets craft beer. They had beet salad, fried green tomatoes with pork, interesting burgers, yada yada. Everything was tasty and well-plated, and the price was what you'd expect for the menu. But I don't just pay for food. Our server complained to us about being understaffed, and the restaurant got really loud with football fans even though there wasn't an ND game. I expect to pay Applebee's prices for that... and I don't eat at Applebee's. I left wondering if i could get the same food somewhere else in South Bend.

I have visited this place about four times now, and was super excited to have a farm to table experience in this town. The menu has lots of potential, and the beer selection is above average. But after my latest meal, I think this place is perfect for a beer and a few small plates. What I have discovered, is the price -point does not meet the overall food quality. Our party was treated to an uneventful server, who seemed almost bothered to be dealing with our party. And once the food started arriving, nothing really popped, the duck nachos had a cheese whiz and only a few pieces of duck. The New Buffalo Burger that I ordered was tasteless, and the kids burger was just as bad. I really, really admire the energy and courage it takes to open a restaurant. From what I have experienced, this is a place that everyone should try, just not sure its a place that is worth making part of your regular rotation. Cheers!!!
(2)Erin M.
The food was pretty good. We had the duck nachos as a starter. They were tasty but not particularly imaginative, mostly regular diner nacho ingredients with some duck. We moved to sit outside to get away from the omnipresent tv screens throughout not only the bar it also the restaurant. It's distracting when you're trying to have a nice meal. I wish they'd turn them off in the restaurant section except for big events.
(4)Katie B.
I really want to like this place. I'm always a fan of the "farm to table" kind of menu. They source local produce and meat and even local beer. The service was good, and our server (the bartender) was very attentive. My lack of stars is because the food was not good. It was ok. The menu looks great, but the execution was not there. Everything was just bland. Here's what we got: Pork belly: the quality was there, but it just needed something to give it a little spice or acid. Braised short ribs: the meat was cooked just fine, very tender, but the sauce was missing any depth of flavor. The whole dish needed a sprinkling of salt. Ono wahoo (a fish special): My fish was super dry and bland. There was a cider glaze on the bottom of the dish that was actually pretty good, but it was hard to get the sauce on the fish. The green beans were fine once I added salt. I hope this place stays around, because we don't need it to turn into another chain restaurant. They should keep the concept, but they need to add some flavor and a touch of salt!
(2)Joe K.
Had an apple salad. Fruit was frozen solid. Greens were partially frozen. Fish sandwich was pretty tasty.
(3)Tim J.
Great food. Fresh and innovative. Big craft beer choice on draft and in bottles. Comfortable atmosphere.
(5)Cara L.
I have been to Rocky River twice now and both times, I walked out feeling like it was missing. . .something. I can't put my finger on what exactly it is - is it the sparse decor inside, the Perkins looking booths, the giant white space over the open kitchen area, I don't know. But both visits, it didn't feel comfortable or homey to me, the restaurant has an unfinished feel. As for the food, like everyone else, I had to try the duck nachos, which I ordered on both visits since I was dining with a newbie my 2nd time and I have to say they were just OK. The duck meat isn't very warm, you get a ton of chips and not very many toppings - a few dabs of cheese, a small pile of spicy sour cream and a few beans scattered here and there. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't want it drowning in cheese but a little more would be helpful. The rest of the food has been OK too, nothing really bad to speak of but nothing truly spectacular either. I see some dishes on the menu I would really like to try in the fall months, when I am looking for something a little heartier like the chicken, pork chop and braised short ribs with mashed potatoes but in the middle of summer, a little too weighty. They have a lot of fish options, which can be tough to find in our area so that is refreshing. I tried the mussels on my first visit and was pleased to find a giant mound of shells for only $17. The prices seems reasonable to me for what you get, especially since they are supporting local farms but I am waiting for this place to really wow me and it hasn't happened yet. Even my drinks have been so-so - I got the Strawberry Cooler last night and it was pretty watered down, not much alcohol in it and I discovered at the end of my drink that it needed to be stirred since the syrup was all sitting at the bottom. Give Rocky River a try and decide for yourself. There are so many more items I would like to try on their menu, I will probably be back but when you have other places like Corndance, Cafe Navarre, Morgan and the Little Black Dog and even Fat Cam's and Iechyd Da really knocking your socks off with fantastic food and/or using local ingredients too, not sure it will stay at the top of my go to dining list.
(3)Jason R.
It was strange walking into the former Tilted Kilt space, which used to be full of plastic breasts, horrible service, and mediocre food. Rocky River is the real deal. The décor is relaxing, like farting when nobody else is around. We really enjoyed the smoked duck nachos appetizer. They have a great selection of local beer and rotating taps. I had the bison burger, which reminded me of a gourmet burger you would find in a larger city like Chicago. Portions are perfect size. Not big enough that you will hate yourself when you get up from the table, but just right. We will definitely be back. This is a family friendly place. The service was excellent. Several of the wait staff stopped by to check on us, and even made food an beer recommendations. You won't miss the plastic girls and warmed over bar food from Tilted Kilt. Rocky River is a great addition to the area!
(5)Javid D.
An excellent quality casual dining experience, from the tasty food to the great service and the pleasant ambiance. A really top professional outfit. We had the cooked olives and the melted goat's cheese for appetizers to share, and then the Bar Burger plate ($9) and the Mixed Vegetables plate ($15). All very good, and all from local area farmers! Definitely to be recommended in the Granger/Mishawaka/South Bend area. Make reservations on weekend nights!
(5)Sarah C.
This was my first time here and it was a decent experience. The menu is certainly limited, but enough choices, if you eat a lot of meat or are pescatarian. Our server was sweet and very patient with our group of 7, and stayed on top of our drinks and overall needs. I had lake perch. :) It was breaded tastily and reasonably for hand-held eating.
(4)Rachael G.
We recently ate here again and it was extremely refreshing considering our last visits. I ordered the fish and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had the pot roast and the sauce was wonderful. Everyone knows it's the sauce that makes the pot roast. It was still loud, but for a party of two at a high top it wasn't a big deal. I highly recommend calling before visiting the wait time quoted can be over 45 minutes depending on the night. Our server was very friendly as well. I feel the seasonings and serving sizes have improved since my last review.

Inconsistent. We had some really good dishes here and some dishes that just fell flat. We ordered a pretty good sampling of stuff. The bacon dripping olives, the chips, the duck nachos, the pork belly, the salmon, the sliders, a burger, the bacon jam and the risotto fritter. The service was just kind of ho-hum. Our server was very very nice but may have been new or something. We have a gluten free kid and while I am not upset that they don't have a gluten free menu, you need to at least make sure your servers know what it is. She also didn't realize they had Ginger Beer. Someone is slacking on training here. The olives, the pork belly, and the duck nachos were all great. I saw some others complaining about portions of the duck but I thought it was very well balanced and flavorful. The sliders and the burger both came out overcooked and dry. We complained about the burger since it was our sons entree and they took it off the bill. We said nothing about the sliders but they probably would have taken those off as well. When I saw bacon jam on the menu I was expecting bacon jam. It was more the consistency of pudding, it was still pretty decent, very rich, but jam is not the right name. Risotto Fritattas were okay, a little dense and maybe cooked a little too long, but still had good flavor. The bite of salmon I had was pretty dry but my son seemed to enjoy it so maybe I just got an end piece or something. The odd thing about our very young manager coming to inquire about the burger is that he apologized for the time it took for the food to come out. It was actually no time at all. I would have been okay with a little longer wait actually and better tasting burgers if they would have decided to re-fire them. Being a cocktail enthusiast I was excited to see a unique cocktail menu. I started out with the Hibiscus & Grapefruit Gin n' Tonic , because it was hot out and thought it would be a nice refresher. Pretty unbalanced cocktail. It wasn't the worst cocktail I've ever had but I can't imagine that it was supposed to take like that when it was conceived. Since the bartender obviously was lacking in the cocktail department I decided to go for a scotch. When I asked for the whiskey list all the server had was this little cheat sheet she pulled out of her pocket,. That is the only spirits list they have and it wasn't much of one. I chose the Balvenie with "a little ice". It came back in a cocktail glass filled to the rim with ice, needless to say the whiskey became very watered down and unpleasant. Anyway... might just be growing pains still, but there is potential. There were flashes of greatness in certain bites so I know they have it in them, it's just a matter of staying consistent through out the night. Also, training. That server should have at least been aware of the gluten allergy, and that bartender obviously doesn't care about their cocktails. If you don't want to have a cocktail list that's fine, but if you have one make sure your bar staff knows how to execute it well and make sure they know what it's supposed to taste like. We will go back to try it again.

My 2nd dinner there tonight. Was not overly impressed first time (months ago) but decided to give it another try. Ordered a dinner salad and it was VERY small (def. side salad size) and I believe it was 10 or 12.00. Surprised the tables outside were not full on such a beautiful nigh.t We walked inside to see how many people were there. Busier than I expected, maybe 1/3 full. Very noisy just as it was first time I visited. With so many great restaurants in our area, will prob. not re-visit. Do love his other restaurants.

My husband told me not to give a good review so it won't be too crowded when we come back. That is very high praise from him. We both ordered the braised short ribs (served without bone) which came with green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. Pretty darn good and a good deal for $16. Creme Brulee and Carrot Cake were delicious. Seriously good. Iced tea is fresh brewed and just right. Husband had two beers and they were both good... He loves their beer selection. Service is excellent. Ambiance is lively for dinner on a Thursday night but not too loud. We really liked everything about this place. The outdoor seating looks charming... maybe next time. We will be back soon and we hope the quality remains once the senior management team moves on... Give this place a try and trust your server to steer you to the best items on the menu.

Granger is a much better place due to the new Rocky River Tap & Table. A fine dining yet casual establishment yields a farm to fork style dining experience with a vast craft beer selection. Most of the food and ale are resourced within a 100 mile radius. My wife and I experienced it less than a week after it opened and the food and service were on par as if they'd been open for months! Food, ambiance and service were all top notch. We had the Bacon Jam Brie with Toast Points, Bar Burger, and Risotto Fritters. All dishes were outstanding and flavorful! So much more looked great on the menu that we wanted to try, so we'll be back and it'll be soon. Living in Middlebury it's a hike but it'll definitely be worth it! If you are contemplating places to go and Rocky River is one of them, move it to the front of the line as it is truly VIP! You won't be disappointed. Remember it's fine dining done casual style to set your expectations for ambiance. No 25th anniversary dinners here men. For that head to Cafe Navarre:)

It is a nice place with a lot of variety and good plates, but they can't book a steak. It was ordered medium rare and it came out medium well. They tried to correct it and it came out medium well, again, as much as the GM tried to "sell" it as medium rare. They tried to fix it so they should be given credit for the effort and the rest of the meals we good. Great dessert....chocolate pretzel something ala mode.

This is Kurt Janowsky's (cafe navarre, matterhorn, etc) new restaurant in the former Tilted Kilt restaurant It is now family friendly and a great go to place after work or for a casual dinner. It is a farm to table restaurant which means they have paired with a number of farms to get fresher produce from known farms. It also means that they use more of the whole animal which includes jowl, etc. The menu is varied from mussels to go at cheese appetisers, chicken pot pie, grown up grilled cheese, artisan pizzas and fresh cheese platters. The restaurants prices are reasonable (my goat cheese appetisers big enough for 2 was $8) and the service was great. Suggestions, my goat cheese would have been better with fresh tomatoes and onions instead of a cooked ratatouille and my phyllo dough on my chicken pot pie was still doughy - but the flavor was there and the chicken moist and flavorful. For dessert I had the berry cobbler. Lost of strawberries, blueberries and raspberries with an oatmeal baked topping served with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yum!! For only being open a week, pretty impressive start and I look forward to my next visit.

Great service.....the food was fair. The turkey bacon loin was dry and had little flavor, the grown up grilled cheese had little flavor. The fries were cold and were not fresh. The wine and beer selection is good though.

Went in the other night to grab a drink and sat at the bar. I would have loved to give this place more stars because the food and spirits were wonderful. But there is some serious customer service issues to be hammered out. I sat down at the bar and tried to get the bartenders attention (later found out his name is Joe) and was completely blown off. This guy must have carried some sort of personal problem into work with him that night because he sulked around the place and stood with his arms folded. Left much to be desired. A man from the kitchen can be heard very clearly throughout the ENTIRE restaurant. The other bartender says this is the "head chef". Hard to believe he can be in charge of anything with the type of language coming out of his mouth. Leave the kids at home folks!

Another excellent meal! Part of a group of 12 and had a single waiter. Service was a little lacking on drinks.

The duck nachos are really good. The burger is just another a burger to me. They had many beers on tap, but since I'm not a big drinker I can't say much about them. The service was good and the waitress was very attentive when our drinks were out, etc. and helped pick out beers to try so everyone got something they liked. We had about 12 people in our party, and had a great time.

Love this place! Staff is awesome, good atmosphere, even better food. The "farm to fork" idea is awesome with many of the items from local farms/breweries. They have a great selection of beers. The chop salad is killer.

My partner and I went back to try again. Delish! He had the perch, which he didn't like as much as the salmon, but I thought the cream sauce was delicious. I had their beef brisket special. YUM! That and the homemade mashed potatoes were GREAT! I'm a major Rocky River fan!

I am a huge supporter of anyone that painstakingly creates a menu around local fresh seasonal ingredients. The world would be a better place if everyone believed in the farm to fork mentality. I was very impressed with the menu selection and surprised by all the options especially since Indiana sucks for good quality food. Risotto fritters made my gf weak in the knees. Rocky river burger was fantastic, cooked perfectly, juicy, seasoned well. Nice caramelized onions and the best part the BACON!! A really Good bacon that left me wanting more. GF had the lake perch, loved it. Buns look homemade which is always a plus. Posted on chalkboards in the restaurant info on how far and where the ingredients came from.....awesome. I wish more people cared about their food and customers. Will definitely return.

I'm a big fan of all of Kurt Janowsky's restaurants (Cafe Navarre, The Exchange, Matterhorn), and this place is no exception. I've only been here once, but I loved it. The service was really wonderful and welcoming-- we were a pretty large party and they took wonderful care of us. I loved the duck nachos and the short ribs (and the bite of the chicken I had off one of my dinner companion's plate was excellent as well). They do farm to table very well, and I was not disappointed.

Small plates sliders, each made from a different meat, all tasted the same. Service was slow. They can't transfer a bar tab to a table. The hostess thought one of us left and canceled us from the wait list. Lots of space and tables in bar area for additional seating, but all tables were occupied and there was a 45 minute wait.

Pretty good. Salad with pine nuts was really good. We had the risotto balls which were delicious and in some mysterious sauce that was also delicious. The grown up grilled cheese was pretty good, but not life changing. The crembrule was good, and even my picky "I've had it in France" wife said it was pretty good. For all that and a glass of wine the price was definitely low. Overall good food and a good price.

I want to like this place really I do. We have now been there four times, so I feel this is not just a knee jerk review. The beer list is amazing. They have a lot of different craft brews from the area. They keep a chalk board of them in the bar area. They could have a list the server could hand out if you are not in the bar area. The last time we were there (last night) we were told all the beers were listed on the menu. Not true as I know from the time before they had a pumpkin beer on tap that was not on the printed menu. The first two times we were there we sat in the bar area and at the bar the second time. Our service both of those times was fantastic. The food was also pretty good. I had the pasta with sausage the second time. I am a fan of things spicy, and it was almost too much for me. The menu did not really indicate it would be that spicy. So for someone that is not a fan of spicy they would have been very disappointed. The third visit last week and the one last night are what convinced me to give the place two stars. The service last night was dreadful. Our waitress was fine. However, something must have been amiss in the kitchen. It took an hour from the time we ordered our food to the time we got our food. About a half hour after we ordered the manager came over to our table to tell one of the people we were with that they were out of the entree he had ordered. That is fine, things happen. However, no apology and most significantly he did not bring a menu with him. So our friend could not look it over to see what else he wanted to order. Finally after getting our food I talked to the manager and complained about how long it took to get our food. He really had no response to it. I had to prompt him that maybe giving us a few bucks off the check ought to be done. They did that which is great, but the customer should not have to be the one to suggest that. All in all the concept is good, and I like to support local business over the chain places. However, I do not see this one as surviving unless the service dramatically improves.

Wonderful food and a wide selection of beer and wine. A friend and I shared three of the "small plates" (roasted vegetables, risotto balls, and sliders) and I also had a Brother Benjamin beer. We both enjoyed everything, including the atmosphere which was fun, clean, modern, and lively. Service was also fast and friendly.

Great farm to table restaurant with a decent craft beer selection. Our server recommended the bacon jam as an appetizer. We ordered out of curiosity and did not regret it! I ordered the rocky river burger and my boyfriend ordered the bison burger- both served with their house chips. Both burgers were cooked perfectly and the chips were great. We split the cherry apple crisp with vanilla ice cream for dessert and it was gone in seconds. It was honestly one of the best desserts I've ever had. The prices are very reasonable given that a lot of their ingredients are sourced locally. Overall the service was good. The computer system temporarily went down so we had to wait a little while to pay with a credit card. Our server was very apologetic and took great care of us. Highly recommend this place.

I have been here 2 times. I like the idea of fresh, local, seasonal ingredients and dishes but I have always left slightly disappointed. We ordered a flat bread which tasted alright, but it seemed undercooked. The lake perch was sort of soggy. I want to like this place, but haven't had a great meal.

Unfortunate. The menu and the place have much more potentIal than what one can get there right now. Nothing really stadns out food-wise after three visits, nothing extravagant, exciting, just.... kind of boring. Which should not be the case when you are doing farm to table, and charging prices that are higher than other comparable places. Speaking of which: the defor gails to set this place apart from other restaurants too. Very bland looking inside. So far, this is a missed opportunity.

I can't say enough good things about this place! Food was amazing, including the brownie for dessert! Wine selection was very good! I loved that they source as many meats, veggies, and even alcohol from local farmers and the like! Our service was also excellent! We will be back!

The food is great! We started out with the duck nachos (very good) as an appetizer along with a couple beers at the bar while we were waiting for our table. Since the bar wasn't full of obnoxious drunk people (it's located in the old Tilted Kilt) we decided to stay at the bar and have our meal. I had the sausage rigatoni and my wife had the chicken pot pie. Both were fantastic! They have a lot of local beers on tap (Shoreline, Green Bush, Iechyd da, etc). Staff was friendly and the service was great. We'll definitely be back!

Had a great dinner. In our party we had the chicken pot pie, the roasted chicken, the pork chop and the pulled pork sandwich. They were all very good. The pineapple margarita was not as expected, very bitter and tasteless, but was replaced. The waiter was good but not great, service was good though, overall a nice new option to the local dining scene.
