The food is okay, but there is a consistent problem with service. It doesnt seem to matter which server you get, they are all just pretty bad. It takes a long time to get seated (despite open tables), and then once you are seated it takes 20 to 30 minutes (not exaggerating) before a server comes to take a drink order. There's another 15 to 30 minutes wait before you get the water, and longer if you get a shake. If you wait long enough for your food to arrive it is usually okay or good. Just don't hope for refills. Because it's a consistent problem every time we've come the problem appears to stem from bad management and no server training. Sick to the drive through.

#1 crappiest service award goes to this Stake'n Shake. We were sat right away then another table was sat about 3 mins later They ordered, got their drinks, and that's when we finally flagged down a waitress. She took our shake order. The we waited, waited and waited some more. About 20mins in some more people filtered in and were sat, waited on, and received their shakes, still before we got ours. The other servers were picking up on how irritated we were getting so they began to talk about us behind the half wall, which they apparently thought was a 1 way mirror that we couldn't possibly see or hear them through. By the time we got our shakes and after all the dirty looks from the staff I was worried that they did something to our shakes. We won't be back.

Food is always good and service is always hit and miss. With the exception of not being served at all once.

Walked in with my family (6 of us) and got seated. Summer, our waitress, was too busy to take our order (my sister over heard her say such)... after 15 min and her taking orders for her other tables I finally got fed up. So sitting next to us was a old family friend and his family of 6. Their waiter was awesome.... so as he finished helping them, I grabbed him... I said I know you are not assigned to our table, but I really want my shake, can you please take over? And he did... he was very knowledgeable, quick on service, and nice. Thank you for cleaning up Summer's mess :) (and I'm sorry I don't remember your name right now... tall, dark hair, smelled good... was working July 17th @ 10pm or so) We all had shakes, since I was told we ohhh so had to... I had the chocolate chip cookie dough one, husband got the Oreo, sis & step bro side-by-side with chocolate and banana, father-in-law vanilla, and his girlfriend chocolate. All very tasty and WAYYYY big... could only finish 1/2.

Breakfast is now only served until 11:00 AM. That's fine during the week, but for the church crowd we sure would like to be able to have breakfast when we come in on Sunday!

This place has just about the best milk shakes that I've ever had. It's a greasy little chain that charges you for condiments on your ala carte burgers, but they're really tasty. If you're not careful about what you order though, you'll come out of this not so fast food place 1.5hrs later for about $15 a person. It's open 24hrs a day, so stop in anytime. It's just off the side of the toll road.

The only reason I gave this place 1 star is because there isn't a negative star. This place is absolutely terrible. Worst Steak N Shake that we have even been too. Our first experience was terrible and this time (our 2nd chance) was even worst. The waitress lied to us about our food. They ran out of ice and sweet tea. After waiting over 45 minutes we ask about the food she gives us a BS excuse that the chicken needed to be thawed before it could be cooked. Come to find out she never put the order in and lied to us. We waked out and rudely explained our situation to the manager. He expressed no concern. Absolutely ridiculous. They purposely wasted our time.

The service is so terrible, like beyond bad. Our server either left or quit during our meal. Everyone was apologetic, hence the 2 stars, but this place is a service nightmare. Horrific.

If it was possible to give a negative score, this place deserves one! The 'waitress' was so busy playing with a baby that she couldn't remember to respond to simple requests for eating utensils, napkins, and the bill. When we attempted to address the issue with the manager, he was very nonchalant and indifferent. We have eaten in numerous Steak 'n Shakes, and this was, by far, the worst! They should either find some competent staff abd management, or CLOSE.

The food was ok. The customer service was not so good. My bill was not correct and had to get a manager to change it, he seemed to be very inconvenienced and just rude. Customer service is a huge part that makes up the quality of a restaurant and this restaurant has had horrible customer service not the first time I've been there everyone just seems to be in their own world and not helpful and stuck up in inconvenience that we are even there.

Terrible service. Long waits. Watched 3 other tables walk out just waiting for a waitress to take their drink orders. Everyone here needs to be fired including the manager.

Always horrible service. Last time I walked out after being seated for 20 minutes of being ignored by the wait staff. This time it took 20 minutes to be seated by the hostess. There were several tables open. Some of them needed bussed but instead of helping out the hostess stood there stacking the menus over and over making sure they were straight. The food and atmosphere is usually pretty good. The birthday cake milkshake is great. Just be sure you have at least an hour to spend waiting.
