Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Great food and ok service. The food more than made up for the fact that no one waited on us for more than 15 min. The place wasn't that busy. Oh well right , you get what you pay for . The food was well priced and delicious!

Great prices for lunch get even better when you join their frequent guest card/club. GREAT margaritas and good food. Currently our favorite Mexican restaurant in Indy.

Definitely one of the BEST authentic Mexican restaurants I've ever been to! The servers are very good and the food is awesome!!

I haven't lived in Franklin for 3 years, but every time I come home, I immediately head to Mi Pueblo. I dream of their salsa regularly.

Chile Relleno, I miss you when I'm away.

The family and i pulled up here after a full day of driving from Iowa. We had to call a few times because the address is misleading but once we finally got there they were easily able to seat all 12 of us without waiting. We were seated at two big tables and 3 servers instantly brought out 6 baskets of delicious chips and salsa. We ran out in about 5 minutes and were quickly given more. The waiters also got our drinks out in about 5 minutes and took our orders. I really appreciated the fast service. I ordered a cheese enchilada and bean tostada plate. It came with a big serving of beans and a very nice tostada. The Enchilada had a bitter tasting cheese in the middle. It was edible but not the kind of cheese id want to find in a Mexican dish. I did get the chance to try some ones Chile Rellenos, it was my first time trying it and I'm usually not a fan of spicy things. this however had the perfect amount of spice and flavor! Yum I also tried a Pina Colada made with about 75% alcohol and 25% Pina Colada. It was delicious as well =) Over all the food was about 4 bucks a dish...for a party of 12 that's an incredible bill. The service was great and we got our food timely. 4 stars for that but minus one star for the non 5 star food =)

THIS PLACE IS EPIC! If you were a battle worn bandito, who trudged the mean streets of food mediocrity and wanted a place to fill your Mexican food pallet, this would be your place. Thankfully for me I am a battle worn bandito, and this place has become rehab to my lawless ways. Seriously, nicest people in town, cool environment, killer murals, super fair prices, and flat out friendly place. Plus, I can think of no where else I would want to have my bday. You get a burrito filled with ice cream and you get to wear a flippin sombrero. I see no downsides to this place at all and if you do i have large fears about you constitution. So much so I would challenge you to a duel in the streets of Franklin to the death. This place is that good!

They always have great service here. The drinks a huge so you seldom need refills. They are generous with the chips and salsa. The prices are great and it's a fun place to meet friends. We have never been disappointed.

Okay, I admit great Mexican food is hard to find in Indiana but Mi Pueblo is 3 stars even by Indiana standards. First impressions of a Mexican restaurant always starts with the chips and salsa. At Mi Pueblo, that would be bland tomato sauce with very little on the way of peppers or onions. Fortunately, the waiter brought us some spicy salsa when we asked if they had anything that was spicy on the menu. The "private reserve" was much better. The main meal, carne asada tacos for me and spicy chicken taco salad for my wife were both good but once again mild, mild, mild. Price was reasonable and portions were good. No complaints about this place and if we were back in Franklin it might get a second try but definitely not 41/2 stars.

Very good Mexican place. Family friendly.

Stopped in here tonight for an evening dinner. Nice decor, plenty of seating. The service was muy rapido! Good service, good food, great prices. I prefer spicy food, but this was more authentic Mexican than it was Americanized Mexican. Still, good food all the way around.

I guess I am going to be the only slightly negative review. lol While positive Yelpers led me here I was totally underwhelmed. My fish tacos were simply flour tortillas filled with cubed and grilled tilapia. No double layer corn tortillas. No cabbage. No sauce. No onion, No cilantro. No FLAVOR. At least the fish was not overcooked too badly. The rice was actually okay and I enjoyed the cholula and yucateca sauces on the table. Service was excellent.

I had to go to Franklin to pay my first ever speeding ticket. I have never been to the actual city of Franklin before (I got the ticket on the highway) and when I have never been somewhere I like to try a local restaurant in the area. And when I know nothing about any of the local restaurants, I find the closest and hopefully the best Mexican food available. I asked the ladies in the ticket office where such a place would be and they did not steer me wrong when they sent me here. I can't remember what combo I ordered but I remember I really liked it. Same goes for my old man. We also got big ass margaritas and cheese dip (what else is new). The place was clean and funky, the servers were attentive and prompt, and everything was as tasty as it was plentiful. If I ever have to return to Franklin for a legal infraction, I will return to drown my sorrows in mas tequila and white queso.

First off...the staff are great! Always friendly and prompt. Multiple visits to your table to check on you. The food is very good...9/10 times it is just as expected. On rare occasion the portions are a bit smaller...not sure why? The quality of the food is excellent and what you would expect. Easy in and out and prices are very reasonable. The margaritas are very good! Oh, chips and salsa are very good as well.

Nice place. Wide range of choices. Good lunch menu and options. Very reasonable prices and to top it all delicious food and courteous service. Couldn't ask for more.

Quaint little Mexican restaurant in Franklin. I got the quesadilla mazatlan and my girlfriend got the Mexican pizza. They were both huge and very delicious! We sat in the outside patio area which was very nice and well kept. Definitely worth a try.

Service was lackluster, and I had to try to explain to 3 year old why he had to wait 15 minutes after the rest of our party revived their food. Staff was nonchalant when it came to service of our large party. I really only went here because of group consensus, and will probably not frequent this establishment in the future. Too bad, really ; This used to be a great place to eat.

It's amazing to me that I have eaten at Mexican restaurants all over the state of Indiana and United States and the very best one that I've eaten that is quite literally right around the corner from my home in Franklin. The food is always been great and the service too. This has been a family favorites of hours and will continue to be so as long as they can remain exactly how they are... We love the addition of the outside seating as well!

Always have great food and pretty good service. The food is typical Mexican food and the atmosphere is typical as well but over all good experience

Mexican food is my favorite, and because I travel for work I have experienced Mexican restaurants all over the state of Indiana. Some are good, most are meh and few are great. This is one of Indiana's finest! I brought several of my coworkers here, and they all ordered lunch specials. II ordered one of the vegetarian plates. As soon as we were seated three baskets of chips and bowls of excellent salsa arrived at our table. The service was really good, friendly and extra fast. The food was really good and CHEAP! I don't know how they do it but we enjoyed mass quantities of food here cheaper than we have spent at fast food joints. We plan to return whenever we are working in Franklin. If I lived in Franklin I'd be fat.........

The salsa and chips were great. Nothing spicy, but very tasty. For lunch, they have a selection of vegetarian plates, which is very nice, and less than common in the middle of the country. The bean burrito was on the volcanic side of piping hot, the cheese enchilada was creamy and the rice a bit salty, overall satisfying, but less than phenomenal. I'd try it again with one of their other options.

The most pathetic excuse for salsa I have ever tasted. It tastes like they squirted it out of a bottle of cheap, sweet catsup. Food is good. Service is good also.

Fantastic place. Their refried beans have a spicy twist. I usually just taste and pass on the rice and beans at Mexican places, but here, they are great! In addition, with such great pricing, they should have lines out the door. I just moved here from Vegas and Mi Pueblo tops the places I frequented there. Why not 5 stars? After a few more visits, they'll have to earn that. If first impressions are an indicator, shouldn't be a problem.

We are close to the restaurant. We usually order the same thing. The quality is outstanding. I would recommend this restaurant, for an authentic Mexican meal.

Best Mexican in franklin. Salsa could be better. But Mi Pueb is our go to after church lunch place. Chicken enchilada is consistently very good. Service generally prompt and always friendly.

Since I moved to Indiana this is the first Mexican food that tastes the way I remember it as a child in New Mexico where I grew up. I recommend this place to anyone who knows what Real Mexican is suppose to taste like not Americanized.

This resteraunt is my downfall. In college I came AT LEAST once a week but recently I'm trying to cut back on my Mexican food addiction. The drinks are strong, the endless chips and salsa are wonderful and the food is very good (even for vegetarians). Service is kinda spotty, but regardless if they're overly friendly or not food generally comes out within minutes of ordering it. Their outdoor patio is also very nice.
