This place was very nice Environment was nice and looked very italian with pictures on the walls and wine in tllittle nooks throughout the resturaunt. The music was very traditional Italian. The service was good as well very attentive and knowledgeable. They didn't leave us for very long checked up on us quite often but not too much. I would recommend this place to others who would like to try any of the food. I split my entire meal with my fiance and we we're comfortably full. As you probably have read before the breadsticks are amazing and very cheap. I wouldn't say the salad was my favorite but it's still was tasty

My wife and I come here often for the great good. The breadsticks are amazing! And the food never disappoints. However, on our latest visit the tasty food was overshadowed by the superb service that Christa provided. I can not think of a time I had better service in a restaurant, or elsewhere for that matter.

Breadsticks were ok, Food was decent, but the staff not so much. The prices a little high. The waitress we had seemed like she didn't care much about us, we had to tell her we were ready to order and asked her to the table a few times and she just walked away so i had to get up and ask someone else to come and help us. and there was a guy in the front who gave me the wrong items I ordered, Then he had trouble getting me change so I told him to just keep it and no reciepts because they were out of paper, which continued to make a loud beeping noise. It could have been just a bad time to go but my first time experience there was well below par.

OK. This is not Americanized Italian like you find at so many other "Italian" restaurants. If you want some American-Italian fused together dish like a crab linguine with asparagus and whatever else, then go to one of the other places in town because you aren't going to find that at Ziano's. This is bared-bones, down-to-earth, Italian cooking, nothing more, nothing less. But guess what? It's what it's supposed to be: Good, hearty, and authentic Italian, not some American business owner or franchise's spin on what it THINKS is Italian. We went with a party of 11 for a combined Mother's Day-Father's Day supper last night with adult kids, their spouses, and grandkids ranging from 5 years old to almost 23. In that age range, there was something good for every palate and at decent prices. Our service was great, and when one dish was delayed and did not come out in time, the bill was adjusted by the wait staff without our having to ask, to our pleasant surprise. As for food being microwaved? That missing dish was lasagna, and took about 10 minutes more to come to the table, with a nicely toasted top and had no appearance of being baked anywhere but in a conventional oven. So, for those who have given this less than stellar reviews, perhaps part of it might be of what some think Italian is, but really isn't. As I said, this is down home, Grandma Maria's cooking, not some chef so and so's fusion cuisine. Also, given the dates of the reviews, we definitely did not have cool, lukewarm food. Either staff has changed or the routine in the kitchen has straightened out and improved. Portions are generous at lunch and at supper as well. As I said, if you want someone's idea of what Italian cuisine ought to be, head to some of the other places in the area or to the one sit-down franchise out by the mall. If you want authentic, then this is only one of two restaurants with only a few locations, under different ownership and names in town that I would recommend. Ziano's has three locations, the other has two. I won't mention the other place, that's reserved for its own review.

BEST. SERVICE. EVER!!!! I took my kids out for a special family night dinner while daddy was deployed. We were greeted and seated immediately. The server came right over and introduced herself and asked for drinks. She had 4-5 other tables. Drinks came right out and we were asked if we wanted an appetizer. We ordered one and our dinner at the same time since we knew what we wanted. Everything was PERFECT. My server was so amazing at making sure my kids were taken care of and that our food was correct before even leaving the table. My youngest daughter spilled her drink and not only did OUR server come help clean it, two others did as well. I wish I remembered her name. She was amazing and I'm looking forward to our next trip. (It is a little on the pricey side for our family-- especially if you get a great server deserving more than 25% tip, but WELL worth it!!)

Ziano's is a good bet. It's nothing fancy, but the food tastes good and the service is great. I've tried quite a few different pasta dishes here and they've all been tasty. Most of the entrees are huge, so it's perfect to eat half and take the other half home.

The two stars is for the hostess/servers and for the bread sticks. We tried the restaurant a few times, and tried several items. It is unfortunate that the prices are as high as they are, for the quality of the food. Most dishes have the same price for both lunch and dinner. Considering the quality of the food and price for the quality, we prefer Casa's in town over Ziano's. If it was a Fazoli's - fast food and cheaper prices, that would be understandable. The pizza, the chicken parmesan, chicken alfredo, chicken marsala, chicken romano and lasagna - all dishes, I definitely prefer from Casa's. I think the main problem regarding pizza is the crust. With the chicken dishes it is the actual chicken. The chicken tastes like frozen breaded chicken. Another problem we encountered at this location is that the food would come to the table either almost cold or lukewarm. Just a disappointing dining experience.

Homemade bread sticks were delicious, 5 for only 0.99. Raviolis and sausage & peppers were tasty

Waitresses: very good. Food: ho-hum. Ambience: blah. (I am confused why there are so many 5 star ratings. It was OK, but definitely not 5 star.)

We stopped by for lunch following the library visit with two grands and my son in law. They have their regular menu available and then every day for lunch there are 4 lunch specials: 3 are every day. Spaghetti and Meatball: $5.99, Meaty Lasagna: $6.99, Stuffed Shells: $7.99 and a 4th rotating special at $7.99. All are served with a more than decent house salad. The salad came dressed, lightly as it should be, and contained lots of diced tomatoes, sliced green onions, cheese and a crustini. I like a real salad, all that was missing from my Chicago Italian Salads was the Peperoncini. All the necessary ingredients for bread dipping were already on the table. Note: all condiments were full and Clean! Show attention to detail. We ordered the cheesy garlic bread for $3.99 to give the babes something quick to eat. Then we shared a lasagna and spaghetti. After the salad and bread we too 75% of our plates with us. There was a slight hiccup in our service while we waited for our entrees. With a 2 & 4 year old timing is everything but she apologized and got it out. We arrived at 11:15 and left around 12:30 during which time it filled up nicely for a Thursday in mid November. Pics attached It is good solid traditional family Italian restaurant, no innovation but good execution. Children's menu is $5.99 and includes a kids beverage (bevs are a little high at $2.29 per)

My wife and I went here last week for dinner. I had the meat ravioli with meat sauce, and she had the spaghetti and meatballs (with meat sauce). We each had the small Caesar salads also. All the above were excellent! (A friend of ours, of Italian descent, said she also found this place "wonderful". The sauces are authentic!) The main dishes were $8.99 each, and the salads were $1.99 each. Plenty of food at an affordable price. This restaurant is located in the space formerly occupied by Norma's Pancake House. It has been re-decorated with a muted darker yellow wall color, and more subtly lit ambiance, along with Italian themed music and paintings/photos. They DO have free Wi-Fi.

I liked this restaurant for lunch; it was very charming and cozy inside, given an unassuming and almost hidden location in the Scott's plaza, near the Shoe Repair shop. Enjoyed their spaghetti and meatballs. I would return again. Service was friendly and welcoming.

I LOVE Italian food. This was very disappointing! I have a feeling there are a lot of can openers and microwaves in that kitchen. My husband and I had soup and a pizza...the soup was not homemade by any stretch. The pizza was exactly like a Totino's frozen pizza. This was our second visit because we read the other reviews...I just don't get it? Last time we had pasta...no where near many other Italian restaurants we have loved.

I have to say I am thoroughly impressed, this place doesnt look like much from the outside (strip mall, looks tiny) but inside its very nicely decorated and large. The food was Excellent, also the staff was friendly and you could tell they enjoyed what they were doing. One of the best out to eat experiences I have had in recent times. Will definitely go back. Also Order their Breadsticks, the best I have ever had.

It's obvious that some of these reviews are an inside job. Our food was average. Service was rushed. We had our salads less than 2 minutes after ordering, dinner came 2 minutes later. Server asked if we would order dessert a few minutes after that. Probably wont return.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
