Enjoyed a beautiful evening dinning on pizza and breadsticks here. The service was good. The waitress was friendly and prompt. The outdoor seating was nice. The furniture isn't very heavy so we kicked it around twice...a little shocking when it happened. We had a sausage & green olive hand tossed pizza and breadsticks. The breadsticks were nicely done. They had a good mix of soft and firmness with parmesan baked on top. The cheese sauce was nothing special. The pizza was very good. The sausage was finely ground and distributed evenly. It had a nice taste. This is probably the 5th time I've been here through the years. Toscani is consistently good and a nice choice for pizza/Italian downtown.

So i LOVE LOVE LOVE carbs. I tend to enjoy them in excess for my weekly cheat meal. We went here a couple of weekends ago on a Saturday afternoon and sat on the little patio outside. It was cute and quaint. They have beer and wine, so I grabbed a glass of Moscato to enjoy with my pizza and my portobello ravioli. We got the palmina sauce and I absolutely dipped the delicious garlic bread in it. Two thumbs up on that sauce. It was a cute place and a lot of food for two pizza. The leftover pizza was dinner that evening. Word of advice: we ordered extra sauce and it came with the amount I would expect on a normal pie. So if you like sauce, ask for extra!

Service was great, very attentive with wonderful suggestions for first time visitors. We each had a half salad which is a must. They were fresh and flavorful. We all had the sausage rolls which are out of this world delicious. The crust was light and flaky. Soooo good. We are definitely coming back to work our way through the menu.

The food was alright, but the service was crap! We walked in at 7:15 on Monday night not realizing that they close at 8, but even so 45 minutes shouldn't seem like that big of deal. Well, evidently it was. Our waitress was the only one there and there were only two other tables besides mine. She took our orders just fine but complained about the cooking time for the sausage rolls saying that it would be too close to closing time, but we ordered them anyway seeing as it states on the menu that it takes 30 minutes to make. Which it gave us 10 minutes to eat and pay and get out before 8pm. When our food was served my food was alright, not the best, not the worst. My friends dish on the other hand was disgusting and she took a couple bites and didn't eat anymore of it. When my friend asked about if it could be reheated or cooked a little longer (because the roll became soggy) the waitress brought out napkins ( I guess to soak up the liquid?) and essentially told us we're shit out of luck and walked away. She never came over once after taking our order to ask if we needed anything. She seemed more preoccupied about getting off of work then doing her job.

This pizza is the best I have ever had. The sauce is great giving an acidic tomatoey sweetness to the pizza. The cheese blend is good and what you would expect from a pizza with a impressive selection on topping like coppa and hand pinched sausage that give you a great pizza. The dough the pizza is made on is the true star of this restaurant. it has a nice strong crumb with a soft and perfectly seasoned crust. As good as the pizza is the sausage roll better. The sausage has a great fatty mouth feel with nice and gooey cheese and that perfect pizza dough.

I recently tried the Stromboli and a cheese pizza. The Stromboli was amazing. Lots of toppings and sauce and cheese! The pizza was ok but I've had better in the city. Next to try is their famous sausage roll!

We were in Ft. Wayne for the Midwest Tandem Rally (which means we were very hungry!) and looking for a pizza restaurant. Saw the reviews for this restaurant and were a little nervous about trying it out. Very glad that we went! The pizza (large with BBQ sauce and pineapple) was great and the service was attentive and friendly even though the restaurant was very busy with many cyclists! I generally don't write Yelp reviews but the mediocre rap on Yelp is just not accurate. Go and you'll have a good meal given with good service.

The food is really good and well crafted but have never been impressed with service. Food delivery sometimes feels slower tha need be to me.

Just got take out pizza. Old school style. Hand made sausage was delicious. Whole family loved it. Had lunch there a few times always good first time having the pizza. Only drawback was a bit oily on the top.

Robert Duvaul is at it again. When I first read the newspaper's food critics review of this place. My first thought was "how couldn't he know it was sold"? It didn't sound like anything like the owners would do, even only having been there a few times. It did seem so "out of character"? A few days later I dropped in to see for myself what he was talking about. He hired new employees? They are not the owners, the people that I was accustomed to see working. I also found out the owners did have a slightly better "love of the art". I had been lucky enough, to have them make my pizzas. The employees told me that the owners did not stay all day long, everyday. How lucky the newspaper critic was, as I to be able to obtain one of these masterpieces(non-fancy word). I do understand that any restaurant or even fast food place. Can easily go up or down hill in four months. And do respect any newspapers food critic his right to criticize any business. One of his best, in my option was the time he went to The Three Rivers Festival. Junk food alley, he just walked right in and "stuck his noise right into it". Great, ballse bold opinions. But shacking up the entire West Wayne Street area? With those opinions? In this case, I think he might need to do a re-review. And now for the fancy writing: . Each slice the OWNER MADE was thin, foldable, and accented by the traditional Neapolitan puffed crust. And, as for the few drops of honey - I said Goddamn! This pizza's hot enough to clear an asthmatic's sinuses on the first pollen-polluted day of spring! Honestly, the combination of heat and sweetness really took it into another stratosphere. It's like He spent sixteen years perfecting textbook pizza in his spare time, then quit his desk job just to toss those textbooks out the window, opened up a trendy, top-of-the-line establishment on the fringes of Calhoun Street, and turned the Fort Wayne pizza scene on its head. Oh, wait - because that's exactly what happened. Dude, seriously? Vegetarian pizza? Your mom liked it. A lot.** Who the hell would eat here? / | / \O/ O | - | / \ / \ ________________________________________ *?* Later! | \ O ___ O / | \ _______ |- / \ / \ ________________________________________

We were the only two there on a Sunday night, so we were really able to enjoy the cozy atmosphere. We decided to go with a deluxe pizza and large house salad. Salad came out first and was simple, fresh and ample enough for both of us to have two plates each. The pizza came and was just..... Perfect. the sausage was delicious, the toppings were fresh and very plenty. The crust struck the perfect blend of a nice crunch and still have a light flaky chewiness that drove it home. With the food, and two import beers, the total came to 29 and some change. At anywhere else, this Maybe a little in the high side, but, you get what you pay for, and here, we definitely had our money's worth.

The food is very good. I just want to get that out in the open. The atmosphere is also good, and the folks are friendly. Love the view of the street from the large windows in front of the building. The service left a bit to be desired, however, and that's the reason for my low rating. It is not a reflection of the food at all. I ordered spaghetti with meatballs, which came with a side salad, and choice of garlic bread or breadsticks (all for $11-12 - not too bad, really). I asked if they could package my spaghetti in a to-go container because I knew I wouldn't be able to eat the whole thing in one sitting (my exact words, actually). OK, no problem she says. A considerable amount of time later, the other people in my party received their food, and I received my salad and garlic bread (very good...bread was toasty on the outside and soft in the middle, with a nice gentle garlic flavor). I figured mine would take a bit longer to prepare, so I wasn't expecting it in lightning fast speed, but when it was pushing 30 minutes, I was starting to get a little worried. As our waitress was clearning our dishes and notices me eating a slice of my mom's pizza, I ask if the spaghetti will be coming out soon. She says "Oh, it's been done, I was just going to bring it out when you were ready to leave." So, I can't tell you how good the spaghetti is, because I haven't tried it yet. It's sitting in the work fridge waiting for me to get home for dinner. Hopefully no one has swiped it or thrown it out yet!

Went here with the bf and my mom about a month ago. Food is really pretty good, however, the service was lackluster. There was one waitress for the whole floor. One cook in the kitchen and one girl behind the register. The waitress was struggling to keep up as she had 4-5 tables and was acting as hostess as well. I certainly thought the cashier could have assisted the poor waitress. We waited for our food for 45 minutes and then when we were ready for the check it took another 15 to track it down. The main bright spot was that the food was delicious.

I am not even sure if this place deserves one star because I never received any service when I was there. My friend and I were so excited when we sat down because we are both pizza fanatics. We were passed by multiple servers many times and did not even get so much as an, "I'll be right with you." I know that they saw us because I made eye contact with them several times. We ended up just leaving after sitting there for 25 minutes without even getting a hello from a server. We were so disappointed.

I went there with my husband for a quick lunch. We had an hour to burn before having to be some where else. We were greeted at the counter and shown to our seats. The waitress asked us for our drink order. She had to brew our tea fresh since they did not have anything off hand. So it took a couple of minutes to get that ready. Then we placed our order, once getting that completed, the wait was extremely long. However, the waitress was at least able to get our salad or soup out quickly. I think we waited for our main dishes longer than the time it took us to actually eat them. I had ordered the lasagna, which was a good portion and was tasty ,lots of cheese and I was a big fan of the sauce. I noticed the whole place was basically being taken care of by one waitress and that maybe the reason our service wasn't that speedy. I would have to say that she was working hard for being the only server, so you have to be understanding.

Very nice Italian restaurant with more seating than you would have thought looking in. The outdoor seating is especially great on nice days in downtown Fort Wayne. The food was good and the decor while modest seemed to fit the attitude of the staff, laid back. I hear the sausage rolls are amazing but they take a while to cook so I was not able to wait for one, maybe next time!

The best pizza in Fort Wayne hands down! The hand pinched sausage pizza and the meatball pizza are fabulous! It's small, so call ahead and make a reservation if it's Friday or Saturday night.
