It boggles my mind why there is never a line to wait for a table at this restaurant. I no longer live in Indiana, but whenever I go back, the Rib Room is a must stop. The food is outstanding, service is excellent, and the prices are just right. I nearly always get the fillet mignon when I go there and find the meat cooked just perfectly. Since we were all ordering steak and lamb, we ordered a rib appetizer. YUM! The ribs are tender and the meat is falling off the bones. The sauce was too strong for my mother, but the rest of us enjoyed it. Our waitress was very attentive, keeping our water glasses full. She even made horsey sauce (horseradish mixed with sour cream) when we asked for it. I enjoyed the house specialty, the Greek Salad, for starters. Just so you know, this is unlike any Greek salad I've ever had in an actual Greek restaurant, but the wonderful mix of feta cheese, olives and pineapple worked out just great. The wine prices were very reasonable, particularly by the bottle. The atmosphere could use some updating, as it is very 1970s, but I have no other complaints.

I was recently introduced to this restaurant, and I'm definitely a fan! Ribs happen to be one of my favorite things to eat, so I am always up to try a place with ribs in the name. As said in previous reviews, the majority of people coming in and out of here are older, but that doesn't mean anything for the atmosphere of the restaurant! It is wonderful inside, and the workers have always been nice when I've come in for dinner. They have a great menu, yummy ribs (sauce is thinner but I'm a fan), and bread (you get a basket for ordering your food!!). They have a variety of beef entrees but they also have quite a few seafood options, so if you don't eat beef, their seafood is a great alternative. I've tried the salmon, which was great, and also the tilapia. Both plates were great and very flavorful! The martini and beer lists are small, and they don't have beer on tap. However, they have the old standbys if your just looking for any old beer. If you check-in with your yelp app, you get a free order of garlic bread, which is a nice addition to dinner. Can't wait to go back again when I am back in Indiana!

OMG! The sauce on those ribs left me sucking my fingers in public! How embarrassing, and I know I probably had sauce all over my face since the bones on my plate were perfectly clean and my beard was feeling a little greasy around my big grin. I'm just thankful my friends talked me down from ordering a second rack. I would have died from over stuffing my stomach and gone to Hell for the sin of gluttony. I'm also glad I don't live anywhere near Ft. Wayne, or I'd eat here way too often.

This may be ribs but BBQ it ain't!!! I really am not a fan of giving negative reviews as I think most places try very hard to produce a quality service/product. Having said that, these were the worst ribs I have ever had. I popped in today and got a to go order of ribs and rib tips. They were boiled!!! Then apparently baked with very little seasoning, then they are drenched (several ladels) in some thin vinegar based bbq sauce that went right to the bottom of the container. The least they could have done was provide a decent bbq sauce that would stick to the ribs to hide the disgusting flavor of the ribs themselves which were greasy and a little slimmy around the rib tips. Oh then there were the fries that were already cooked and up (sitting in the basket above the fryer) but apparently they must have been up awhile because they dunked them back in the hot oil for a quick minute to warm them up. The man at the counter was friendly and quick so kudos to good service. Hopefully the dinning room and the other items are the menu are better than the ribs. I will not be back.

With a name like "The Rib Room" you would expect that their ribs would be spot on..... ... You would be wrong. They taste as though I cooked them and I have NO idea how to make good ribs. Dry and fatty all at the same time. The sauce seems to be made of vinegar and red food coloring. The salads were lifeless and wilted. Add that to the over the top pricing structure and poor service and you'll know why the place is mostly empty. If you are not a regular and of retirement age, they do not want you here. The looks on the faces of the staff and management when I took my family there was almost enough to send us out the door. It wasn't until my in-laws joined us that we were actually greeted by our server. In the end the food was lousy, the service was lacking and the price reminded me that there are better options....

Nice place, had an older crowd. We were def the youngsters in the room at 30. That isn't something that bothers us, but if you are looking for something hip - keep looking. Super, super friendly waitstaff. We had the ribs for an appetizer (how can you go to the RIB room and not get some ribs?). The ribs were very meaty. The sauce was a touch vinegary for my preference at first, but after a bite or two I was acclimated and enjoyed them a lot. Comes with a wet towel for full cleanup. I thougth the bread was good, but hubby loved the bread. We both had the greek salad, which wasn't very traditional, but was quite good. I think I'd ask for less cheese next time. Hubby had the shrimp scampi (well cooked, but under-seasoned) and I had the filet mignon (cooked really nicely, but a little bland, but that could have been me recovering from a cold and not having full use of my nose back).

Good food and good service, the ribs are good, but not the best. The ribs are a little too dry for my tastes, but the sauce is good. Every time I go in to this restaurant I feel like I am in a retirement home dining hall (no one under 60 except the wait staff). My wife used to work here when she was younger and she worked in a retirement home as well, she concurs on the retirement home feel.
