My second time in here now, first time I was skeptical being I hadnt been in there since El Charro's days. I was proven wrong very fast! This place was just as good if not better. In fact I left stuffed with enough left over to be stuffed again the next day. So my next visit, I didnt order that sample plate, it was way to much for me the first time. The food was just as good however, chips were addicting. The one and only one complaint I have with the place is that their salsa is just a little to mild for me. Probably for most it will be fine, but me, I like it a little more spicy. It is good though, so dont shy away from it. Food! Supurb! I had the Tostados this time around and they were perfect! The refried beans were so creamy, and had a slight hint of bacon? in them? not sure there, but good anyway! I walked out of there with a smile a full stomach and a flat tire on my truck! :( It was a good thing I had my great-nephew there with me because I would of never been able to bend over to change it!

The good has improved over the years. My first time here I really didn't care for this place. The good is ok Mexican, not super authentic or anything but good. Service was slow but they were pretty busy. I can't say much bad, but there are better Mexican restaurants in town. But if you are in the area and have a craving for Mexican, you could do worse than here.

Very good Mexican food and reasonably priced. Service was excellent. The decor is a little rough but the food and service make up for it

Just ate at remodeled Mi Pueblo. They should have spent the money on maintaining the food quality. My family was surprised no one got sick. The salsa was terrible. My son thought it tasted like a pizza sauce. I had the carnitas it was a very modest portion of meat. I am disappointed by the restaurant. I have recommended the place in the past.

Some of the best mexican food I've had. I have ate there about a dozen times and have never had a bad meal. The staff is always very friendly and have done an outstanding job on remodeling the interior.

The outside doesn't look that enticing but the food is amazing! We had great service and the prices were cheap! The food was authentic and delicious. Definitely a great meal for the price!

Simple, tasty, inexpensive Mexican food in the Fort. I came here with my mom to meet two old friends (another mom-daughter duo) for lunch. We were seated right away. The outside isn't much to look at, but the inside is pretty warm and inviting. It's nicely painted and there's some cool art on the wall. We were started with a big basket of chips, two carafes of salsa and four small dishes to pour it into. I love this method, because it lets me totally hog all the salsa and double dip to my heart's content. :) The salsa itself was pretty fresh and delicious, with lots of cilantro and a cumin-y undercurrent. I ordered huevos rancheros, which I am always excited to see on a menu. It was three smallish eggs, cooked over medium as I requested, with rice, refried beans and tortillas. While the menu doesn't have a lot outside the norm on it, I was pretty pleased with the food. The beans were clearly homemade, the rice was well-seasoned, my eggs were perfectly cooked and the sauce was delicious. It was just the right portion size and I cleaned my plate. Others at my table got a burrito, a taco salad and fajitas, and they all seemed pleased with their meals. Service was friendly and overall good. I don't get back to Fort Wayne very often, but I would definitely recommend Mi Pueblo and return given the chance.

These guys took good care of me while I was in town. One day at lunch when I was wondering what I could do to get my dads kidneys pumping again after three days, I realized that Dad started drinking decaf coffee that is processed with formaldehyde. They gave me two limes out the door to detox. It worked !!! Forever grateful..

You absolutely must get the Pollo Mi Pueblo. It is the only thing we get now when we go there. Absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere could be improved, but we like supporting this local restaurant and try to overlook some things that could be improved because the food is great!

I eat lunch her several times a month. The food is awesome. The chips are crunchy with the right amount of salt and usually war, The salsa has a great mix, spice any not to hot. The entrees are all good and prices great. Daily lunch specials don't break the wallet.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
