Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

How am I the first person to review this place?! It's the best "old school" Chinese in town - bar none. Located on the walkway downtown for decades, it's super cheap, has huge portions, and offers absolutely delicious food that will leave you wondering why in the heck you've been spending so much time at the host of disgusting buffets. It's a mom and pop place that is one of the last Chinese restaurants we've found focusing on quality and making really delicious food. I eat there at least three times when I come back to visit - it's that good. The egg rolls and the homemade pineapple sauce are 100% addictive, and our favorite entrees include the almond studded War Shu Gai, Gung Bo Beef, Shing Lee Chicken, and Sweet Sour chicken. Sweet Sour Pork is just "okay" - but still better than most others offered by area restaurants. The crab rangoon is light, flaky, and crisp, and the chicken fried rice is a treat, even on its own. The fried wontons are average, but nothing super-special. The owners love experimenting - so you can always mix things up. My favorite custom order is the Garlic Chicken with a twist - by making it spicy and breading the chicken, and adding roasted cashews. Absolutely divine. The decor is a little upscale with nice lighting, but casual clothing is totally acceptable. They do a great takeout service as well. The two owners play the role of the cooks, waiters, and hostesses, and cashiers - so be a little patient - it's all done with love. ...And did I mention the egg rolls??

Absolutely love, love, LOVE this restaurant!! My first trip here was over 30+ yrs ago with my mom & dad & I can honestly say they have the best homemade Chinese food I have EVER come across! They are the best hands down! Ohhh and the eggrolls!! They are to die for!! I have never had anything I didn't like from here so if you visit Evansville, this restaurant is a must! We lived in KY and my parents went there every Saturday night for many yrs. Now I'm in WI and wish they shipped because I would kill for any of their food right now! The owners are so super nice. The food does take a little longer but I believe it is most definitely worth the wait!! Coming home to KY in a couple of wks & will be breaking my neck to get there to eat!

Stopped by for lunch at the urging of a coworker. We were seated quickly after grabbing a lucky parking spot right out front. Great prices on the menu for lunch, with options between $5-6.75. I got the beef and broccoli combo lunch with an egg roll, egg drop soup and hot tea. Egg roll was one of the best I've had, which my coworker echoed that sentiment. Soup was large and standard but good. Entree had plenty of meat and the fried rice that came with it was delicious. The fried rice lacked vegetables but did have some tofu(?) in it, very tasty. Overall a great meal, for a fantastic price, with very friendly service. My coworker got the sesame chicken which is one of their specialties and enjoyed it thoroughly. The only negative comment was from my coworker from China who said they'd never serve a noodle dish with rice, but I'd say that's easy to look past. Go there, get full, go back to work. Perfect.

Very good service. That being said, the food was bland and plain. But because some of their other dishes may be fantastic, I'll share my experience with the particular dishes I ate. The egg drop soup had no flavor and wasn't much more than diluted chicken broth with egg. The chicken broccoli was ok, not much flavor either but not bad. The fried rice was completely flavorless, had barely anything in it (basically white rice with a little soy sauce and chicken bits). But the worst was the egg roll that was deep fried for probably 30 minutes. It was 400 degrees when it came to the table and looked like it was in a house fire. I support local businesses, but this isn't the the place for me.
