Really, I'd like to give them 3.5 stars. I went as a party of 6 on a Wednesday night. We had been tipped off to their Wed. night special of Bang Bang shrimp for $5. Even though the website site says, "all day" they are not open for lunch. We learned the hard way! 4 of us got the Bang Bang. The appetizer is plenty as a meal but there is also an entree option than includes a salad and one side. I went with the entree but wished I'd just done the appetizer and then had a dessert. The food was good but the service wasn't great. It was very busy, so that may have been part of the problem. 3 of us had water and found it almost impossible to get it refilled. We jokingly asked the waiter if there was just one pitcher and he said, "No! there's two." This is a large restaruant-get some more water pitchers. There was no kids menu to order from, so my nephew just ate the bread. It was very loud the night we went making it difficult to have a conversation with anyone except for who was sitting right next to you. It was also dark, like I thought I might trip over something when finding my way to my seat. It was an ok dining experience but a little spendy.

Without repeating what has been said.....I'll talk a little more about the booze situation. The cocktails at this Bonefish are mixed rather well. I like a particularly unpopular drink (the Gibson, a gin martini with cocktail onions instead of olives). I sometimes like to gage the quality of the bartender by this drink (not all the time). I ordered one and the bar did not ask me for clarification. They got it right, so kudos to them. They did loose a point because they did not carry rye whiskey for my Manhattan. Regardless, they mixed a good drink. They don't have a bad wine selection, mostly California stuff, with the exception of a Malbec and a couple Italian varieties. I did hear that they are now offering a new beer (other than the main industrial players: bush and bud). This would be a step in the right direction and would boost their rating. If I check it out, I will update. They are a little expensive, I think most drinks run you between $5-12. The beer and wine seem a little over priced. However, they do use quality liqueur. Overall, it is a nice place to go for just cocktails.

I love seafood which sucks since Indiana is more or less a land locked state. I'm also not a fan of chain restaurants. However, Bonefish has some quality items that make it worth while and a descent atmosphere. The Tuna sushi appetizer alone makes it worth a visit.

Yeah it's super chain-ey, but of the chain styles around here it's pretty darn good and there is an abundance of cute hostesses and even if you don't get one the other servers are really cool. The pistachio/parmesan encrusted Rainbow trout topped with a a couple artichoke slices rocks. Bangin' Shrimp is a group favorite that has to be ordered. The other appetizers look good, but the risk is too high that they can't compete with Bangin'!

Bang bang shrimp were amazing! Had the truffled Mac and cheese it was also very tasty. Haddock was a featured special of the evening and it was delicious. The fish was excellent the side of vegetables were cooked to perfection and those mashed potatoes wow! The meal was presented beautifully. Definitely a great dining experience.

Bang bang shrimp is the best appetizer money can buy. Great place to go for dinner. Service is top notch. Food is always fresh. Sea Bass is my favorite.

FOOD: 4 stars - All the apps (bang bang shrimp, calamari and smoked salmon) and desserts (pumpkin creme brulee, coconut creme pie and key lime pie) were delicious. The only reason the food is not getting 5 stars is because of a lack of seasoning on my swordfish with pumkin ravioli and because the crab fried rice was very underwhelming. DRINK: 5 stars - The pear-tini is phenomenal SERVICE: 5 stars - Not sure about our servers name but he and all the staff were friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and funny ENVIRONMENT: 4 stars - Overall good ambience and decor. The restaurant was a tad too loud and dark for my personal preference

Visted on a Wednesday which much to my surprise and delete, it Bang Bang! Shrimp special night. They were 6 opposed to the regular 9. The shrimp were delicious as usual. I had the small wood fire grilled Atlantic salmon with the lemon butter sauce and it was cooked to perfection. The sauce paired well with the fish as well as with a side of the garlic whipped mashed potatoes. I highly recommend.
Went for a family style dinner with a group of six. Had a few friends in town. We were sat very shortly after we arrived for our reservation. The waitress was extremely knowledgable and attentive. The food was great. The mixed drinks were excellent. Spent less than I expected as well.

The only thing that really needs to be said is bang bang shrimp! There is so much more though. I haven't had a Martini that I haven't loved from this spot. Last time I went I got the stuffed imperial longfin. Delicious!

I traveled to Evansville on business, so the restaurant choice for the nice was not mine. I would have preferred to experience the local eateries instead, but everyone wanted to go for the Bang, Bang Shrimp! The Bang, Bang Shrimp was one of the best parts of the meal. That stuff is really, really good. I have never had shrimp with spice like that; however, I usually do not like sauces that heavy on my seafood. For dinner, I had the Seabass, which was quite delicious. This did not have any sauce on it as I believe it was grilled. I opted for a side of grilled asparagus instead of the traditional side, which was amazing as well. Now I bet you are wondering why I give this place 3-stars?? Simple service. I am all about my service and the service here was 3-star service. For a restaurant in Evansville to have higher prices like Bonefish, the service better be amazing. We sat at the table for about 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us, which was brutal considering there were about 8 other tables in the place. Multiple items were ordered and the waitress came back on a few occasions to say the items were out of stock and a change had to be made to the order. First of all, do not come back to the table multiple times to tell us the soup is out of stock, then return 20 minutes later to inform us mango salsa is out.... to me this is just adding to the time we have to wait for our order. I understand people make mistakes, but when you have to apologize multiple times for poor service and not paying attention to the table we can only accept your apology a few times before we start lying to save face.

I've eaten at two of these chain joints three times. The other was in Savannah. Gotta tell ya, neither disappointed me. I'll say this, consistency in a chain is key, so far that is what puts a smile on my face when I travel and notice a Bonefish is close. The only dish i'm not a fan of and I still order are the mussels. When they cool off and the sauce begins to coagulate I stop. would be better if shared. Like I said I still order it. The Ahi Tuna Sashimi is awesome, get the large! With the bread and dipping oil and you have a meal that will stand up to any review. Hopefully more trips to other locations are in my future...

It was Midwinter Meetup with the son and daughter-in-law, and dear old dad chose Bonefish Grill. Considering Anthony Bourdain's advice in "Kitchen Confidential," it was rather daring to choose fish on a Monday. But I figured Bonefish Grill probably had figured out how to offer something good early in the week, and I was not disappointed. Three of four had Lily's Salmon, wood-grilled, topped with goat cheese, spinach, artichoke heart (literally, like one), lemon basil sauce, and served with a side, in my case, some French fries. There weren't a lot of fries on the plate, but that was ok, it matched the size of the salmon, and was nicely presented on a large, circular white plate. Four diners, three salads, two ciders, one beer, waters all around. Nice day off lunch.

My wife and I love the atmosphere at Bonefish. We've eaten here about 12 times over the past four years. The food is very good (even excellent as far as Evansville options are concerned), but limited in terms of seafood selection. Bonefish has the same five or so varieties of fish, prepared the same way served with your choice of the same sauces. We've never been disappointed with our fish...or the always popular bang bang shrimp. Drinks are good. Prices are moderate. The rather upscale atmosphere that the restaurant is projecting is compromised by the lack of any kind of even loose dress code. It really takes away from the experience on a Saturday night - while most patrons are dressed nicely - you have some that come in wearing t-shirts or shorts. C'mon people...you're not in McDonald's! One other note...the men's room was a mess. Both trash cans were overflowing with discarded paper towels. Bonefish loses a star for allowing customers to wear anything. Maybe we're expecting too much...what kind of restaurant do they want to be?

Went on a Sat lunch with a group of friends at my request. I regret my recommendation of BG. Servers were friendly and accomodating, so no problem there. Food just mediocre at best. Fish sandwich - dried up, overcooked fish. Cilantro-lime salad- flavorless. Fish and chips- over battered and greasy. Grilled shrimp-dry and overcooked, but good smoke flavor. It wasn't busy, yet the kitchen was slow. Altogether, not so hot. Wouldn't go back.

Very disappointing. The bang bang shrimp were blah. The salmon dry. The atmosphere more like a funeral home. I had read an earlier review about someone complaining about an identity crisis. If a nice restaurant why not have a dress code of some sort. While I not only can agree but I can expand on that. While eating I kept seeing a man pop in and out of the kitchen. He appeared to be in charge. He was wearing a t shirt. Not a t shirt that was relaxing, but rather a t shirt that was meant to be worn under a shirt. Yes, an undershirt. Well, as my meal was delivered, and I began to eat, it also was his meal time as well. The Boss came out from the kitchen and began to eat his entire dinner wearing a cheap undershirt at the table. I am not really into seeing the Boss eat his dinner with his nipples showing through his undershirt. This place leaves much to be desired. To top it off, it is the most expensive restaurant in the area. I am not a fan at all.

Yelp snobs please hold your noses now, but yes I am reviewing and rewarding a chain restaurant 4 stars. I live in Chicago and have access to a lot of stellar restaurants, but I travel for work extensively and end up in many smaller Midwest locations where Bonefish has a presence. I've eaten at 3 different locations (most recently this one in Evansville, IN) and the food is consistently delicious and reasonably priced. Their Bang Bang Shrimp is sinful appetizer and a total steal on Wednesdays when it's only 5 bucks. I've also tried their crabcakes which were crispy on the outside and moist and meaty on the inside. The trout with the lemon butter sauce is divine, and I have NEVER found a bone in my fish (a common problem with that fish at many other "fine" restaurants. Be sure to ask for the complimentary bread. It's heavenly when dipped in their olive oil and pesto.

The place was really disappointing. The reviews make it sound good but there wasn't very many options on the menu. I would rather go to red lobster.

Will not visit again. The only good item on the menu is the bang bang shrimp appetizer not the bang bang shrimp tacos. I had the seared Ahi Tuna and the bang bang shrimp tacos. Both were not good. The seared ahi tuna was cut too thick and left my stomach very uneasy and that is one of my favorite dishes at Outback Steakhouse. They do it perfectly at Outback. The bang bang shrimp tacos were pathetic. I got two soft shells with three maybe four small shrimps inside them with hardly any sauce on the shrimp. Very bland over all

My co workers and I decided to try out their lunch for the first time on Friday. First, it took 5 minutes to get a seat when the place was 80% empty. Second, we waited another 5-10 minutes for a waitress to come take our drinks. Third, the food took a very long time to come out and was completely over priced ($7.00 for a side of asparagus and $3.00 for feta). When we finally got our bills it took a ridiculous amount of time to get the waitress to come pick up our form of payment and return our paid receipts. All in all we were there for an hour and forty minutes for lunch for 5. Very disappointing...we will not return again.

This place is really delicious. Of course you can't step foot in this door with out ordering the Bang Bang Shrimp. It is cooked to perfection and tastes amazing! They have a full bar so get your martini on. I had the rainbow trout with butter sauce and it was divine. The fish flaked off perfectly. Yum! The server was great as well. It can be pricey but it's good for date night or girls night. Enjoy!

I'll have to give it 4 stars, but to break it down, that's because I'd give it 5 stars for food and 3 stars for ambiance/service. My family likes to hit up this place for small special occasions. Most recently I went with 6 other people in the evening. Things started out poorly, a reservation had been made somewhat far in advance, but when we called to confirm it a couple days before, they had no record of it. Luckily they had no problem fitting us in though. I like the restaurant, but have found that they keep it a little too dark in there - it may be cozy for couple, but if you come in with older adults they're gonna complain they can't see the menus haha. It also can get quite loud in there - they keep the music on loud, and when the place is busy the voice levels build and build which can make conversation difficult. Out waiter wasn't exactly the best, and his timing was all off. He wanted to talk us through the specials even though our entire party hadn't arrived yet, and later when we told him we needed another minute to decided, he'd disappear for ages. There was also other small issues, like our starters coming out without utensils to serve them and having trouble flagging down someone. Later he promised us bread, brought out the plates and made us olive oil dip even, and mentioned the bread was in the oven. We it didn't appear until much later when our entrees arrived. For starters we had the calamari and bang bang shrimp. The calamari was quite tasty and had a good texture. The bang bang shrimp were slightly spicy, but tasted great I had a special, the swordfish with spinach and gorgonzola cheese - it was also supposed to have bacon on it, but I skipped that. It was DELICIOUS. At the end of the evening it took forever to get our bill and get out of there. Perhaps our waiter was just having a bad night? The food was worth it though.

Had Lobster and Sirloin with Calamari appetizer and everything came out at the right time and at the right temp and cooked to perfection. In town for business and I must admit that I was shocked to hear that a Bonefish existed in this corner of the world. Seabass? I'd order again. Mango salsa? Can't say it enhanced or took away from the flavor of the fish. Caesar salad? average. Service? No complaints! Atmosphere? It's okay. Nothing special. I put Bonefish in the same group as other small chains like PF Changs. Not quite like local places, but you always know what to expect and the food is always good. Well worth trying if you are in the area.

Even though it's a chain, the food at this seafood restaurant is "as good as it gets" in Evansville - hence the 5 stars. The Ahi Tuna appetizer is delicious, and you won't find anything like it for 2 hours in any direction. All the simply grilled fish dishes are good, the service is excellent, and they serve quality wines. True: if this place were on one of the Coasts, it would merely be above average. But here in Evansville, this place is a godsend.

Our first trip to BFG was several years ago about 2 mths after they originally opened and it was horrible!! The only edible thing was a Caesar Salad my son got. So we would never go back even when invited by friends. However we decided to give it another chance tonite and I am so glad we did. Everything we had was delicious from the Tropical Heat Martini to the Creme Brûlée and Key Lime Pie for dessert. My husband (a beer drinker) fell I love with this martini (drank 2) which is a miracle in itself. Our entrees, Imperial Talipia and Sirloin Crab Cake dinner, were both fantastic. We will definitely be returning to BFG!!

I'm not a big fish eater but I enjoyed the Bang Bang shrimp. I also tried the Swordfish and was very suprised at how good it was. Chris the bartender was great as well. Definitely one of my favorites.

The food was amazing, the service was great, and there was attractive decor. I will frequent this place when I'm in the area!

Had the pleasure of dining here tonight and it was a great experience. Had Lobster and Sirloin with Calamari appetizer and everything came out at the right time and at the right temp and cooked to perfection. Made me forget for a moment that I wasn't back home on the west coast. Server Casey was knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely come back again - I do love me some fish, :-).

If you like good quality, delicious flavorful food, and great service this place is for you! If you like bland food for a cheap price go to one of the many mexican joints.

Still a very good place. I simply had a salad this time and a Manhattan - both were pretty good. The bread was yummy and couldn't keep my hands off of it. love the pest in the oil.
