Service is SLIPPING!! WOW... This place used be super awesome... not so much these days. Stopped in for lunch with my son and waited (with no line) for nearly 10 minutes to anyone to acknowledge that we were waiting to be seated. Once we were seated they scatterbrain waitress slammed down some water glasses and forgot us for 20 minutes! Lunch was super average and S L O W. Doubtful that we will return soon.

The food was excellent, nice healthy menu selection. However the service was sub par.

If you are a special snowflake that expects every restaurant to be a "unique dining experience" then you're going to have a bad time. But if you want a filling meal at a reasonable price then this is a place to consider. My husband and I are fairly new to this area and we came here because a friend recommended it for a good breakfast place. On a Friday morning around 10am the place was not packed, but several tables and booths were occupied. We were greeted and seated fairly quickly and our drink orders taken immediately. The table could've used another swipe with a rag (there were some crumbs from the previous occupant) but other than that things were clean enough. I ordered the "traditional breakfast" (eggs/toast/bacon/American fries) and my husband ordered the angry burrito. Everything we got was to our liking. Eggs were done as requested (over medium), bacon was crisp, fries did need some salt but had the right crispy/soft ratio going. My husband's burrito was friggin HUGE and completely solid. Not just a bunch of tortilla like ya get at cheap fast food places. Some of the other reviews said that service was bad. Ours was decent. I'm not a big fan of chatty waitresses or being hovered over while eating. Our waitress was pleasant, brought everything out quickly, checked on us once mid-meal, and brought the bill at an appropriate time. I think that's good service, but maybe some people need more assistance....who knows. So if you want a normal Midwest breakfast menu in a nice-enough place with good-sized portions and affordable prices then I would consider this place. I do want to return and try the pancakes since it's called Stacks after all :p

Absolute worst dining experience I have ever had. We waited an hour for a table, and after we had already asked them if we could just put a table at the end of a booth and they said no, they ended up doing that anyways 30 minutes later. Our order took over an hour to get to us, and our waitress was not checking on us to see if we needed refills. After we got our food, and asked for syrup, she never brought any and someone from our table went to the back to grab it themselves. I won't ever go back, and wouldn't recommend it. It took 2 hours from the time we walked in the door, to get our food. At a breakfast diner.....

Slow service, undercooked eggs, cold toast that came after I had eaten my potatoes and bacon. Need I say more?

I can't believe a place with a great breakfast can also have fantastic mexican food on Friday nights. Who knew! Fresh and really really good! The service is fast and friendly! Les Eadsi

Ordered the peanut butter French toast, it was delicious !

Horrible service. Our waitress lost our order on a Sunday morning (after the church crowd was gone), didn't realize it until 90 minutes later after we went up and checked. After taking our order a second time, she goes and services other tables before turning in our order. I'm hangry.

We were not expecting fine dining and were still very unimpressed. Service quality was very poor. No one came to take our drink order and I ended up getting our utensils and napkins from the front counter long after our food was delivered. I ordered the chicken Ceasar panini and ate only about 3 bites. It was dissapointing to say the least. Waitress never asked if something was wrong before taking it and after I declined to box it to go. Waitress never came back to check on how we were doing or how our meals were. It was also a slow day with only about 3 other tables occupied. I would hate to see service on a busy day. Upon paying our bill the woman asked how our experience was and when I told her her responce was "Oh, I haven't had anyone else complain about it". Thank you for discrediting my concerns. She did offer for me to talk to the manager which I declined because by then I just wanted to leave. The only positive is my husband said his burger was good. Just being honest hope they step up their game.

I had the half order of biscuits and gravy as well as blueberry and banana pancakes. The biscuits were a little dense, but not bad. However, the pancakes were dry and burnt. It left a pretty bad aftertaste in my mouth that couldn't be washed away with coffee or water. Service was mediocre. They might want to either change their name or their pancake recipe.

Our waitress didn't seem to speak much English, and was very soft spoken. We asked if the meal came w/fries & all she said was "chips". Fries were available for an up charge, but she didn't offer them. She did proceed to say "tomato" 3 times & after our 3rd "what"?? She said "soup". My husband & I just looked at each other bewildered. Then she completed a full, albeit quiet, sentence asking us if we wanted tomato soup. How she got there from asking if the meal came w/fries is beyond me. She was nice & attentive though. No complaints about her service after the initial ordering. The iced tea was watery and just yucky for lack of a better word. I exchanged it for a Sprite. The chicken Philly was good, but a little dry. I got some BBQ sauce to help it out & then it was delicious! One of the best sauces I've had in a long time.

The food was delicious and the service was also great! They are serving dinner during certain hours and days of the week now! It was good and portions were nice! The staff seem to care that we were satisfied and that's always appreciated!

The Mediterranean omelette was so good! I asked for fruit instead of hash browns and that was awesome, too. Great service!

As a whole, I was satisfied. Angry potatoes are worth the trip alone, especially with the sausage gravy. Bacon and eggs were fine, but not noteworthy. First cup of coffee was crap, but the next few were much better. Must have brewed a fresh pot.

It looks like one of a hundred other breakfast/pancake house dumps that you see all over the country. However, when I came for lunch I had quite the pleasant experience. Granted, the decor is nothing to write home about (typical breakfast diner), but my food was quite good. Any of the sandwiches can be made into a wrap or panini and I chose the latter. My steak and blue cheese panini had nice grill marks on each side and the steak was juicy and tender. Don't turn your nose up on this place when you drive by.

Amazing service with excellent food! We had a small delay in getting a server and Chris (the owner) immediately apologized and took our order and to our surprise told us there would be no charge for the 3 meals we ordered. You can tell when someone cares to do things right and this place does just that. Great food. We will be back soon.

You really can't judge a book by its cover. From the outside, this place looks to have a strong brand, pleasant atmosphere and sizable menu. Visit on any given weekend and the restaurant is PACKED. However, the food leaves something to be desired. Right of the bat, the coffee is weak. I believe, if you're dining for breakfast, the first cup of coffee will tell you everything you need to know about the rest of the meal; in most cases. We ordered the traditional breakfast - nothing too complicated: two eggs (scrambled), breakfast fries, four strips of bacon and two pancakes. I nearly had time to complete a game of Fruit Ninja before my food had arrived. Never a good sign for food to arrive quickly at a restaurant ... unless you're at a fast food restaurant. First, the bacon - rubbery. I'm not sure, nor do I care, how you prefer bacon, but the standard is a noticeable blend between the crispy meat and the melt-in-your-mouth fat. There wasn't. It was just chewy rubber. The following was an assault on my taste buds: watery scrambled eggs, mushy (not crispy) breakfast fries, and their mainstay, the pancakes, were dreadful. The cakes were heavy, not fluffy, and the syrup lacked any substantial flavor or consistency. I've given this restaurant two tries, and, sadly, I will not be returning for a third.

Based on the other reviews I can completely see what they are talking about!! We did get seated fast but only because they skipped over everyone else in line and sat us. :/... restrooms were pretty dirty and our service was crappy! Our food came out in good timing though it was just ok... prob. won't go back.

Wow! A great food place! But what! They put their hours down to 9:00-3:00! That's a lot of stars taken away! Enjoy this 1 star! We gone somewhere else after all this madness! "What? 2 months ago this was open for dinner! And you close it for dinner! That's bull!"

A nice clean well run place for breakfast or lunch. The waitresses are nice and attentive and the food is good. I realize it's just a breakfast place but it's a good breakfast place.

This place used to be amazing with great food and good service. It was always busy in the morning but the tables would turn quickly. However, the past few months have changed. The service is now worse, so much so that my Saturday morning group that used to frequent this place has actually walked out twice for extended wait time for food arrival after ordering (once 45 min and once an hour). And both times were in a half empty restaurant. I want to love this place again and hope that they can make changes to improve the experience.

If we were talking only of the food and initial timeliness, they would get 4 or 5 stars, but I am now going to the situation that happened after our server Lisa poured coffee toward me, rang both of our checks through one credit card after taking 20 minutes to ring them through then issuing a refund to the wrong card. There was no apology, no, "the coffee will be on us due to our error", no rectifying the situation other than to attempt to ring it up correctly. I would highly recommend avoiding Lisa and don't split your check. Check yourselves before you wreck yourselves.
