Awesome food and great prices for the portions you get. I love their egg rolls their awesome can't say enough about this place I love their sweet and sour pork which is amazing!

Can't say enough about the great food. The Pad Thai is always consistently great, and the fried rice is the best around. Our office picks up donuts there all the time... The only issue is that some days of the week, they're out of their fantastic donuts by 9am. Call first before going.

Pad Thai and donuts, yessir. Glad to see a long lasting local business that has remained consistent in great quality for a long time.

This place is an absolute gem of a restaurant. Where else can you get donuts and delicious Asian cuisine at the same time? Very affordable, as well. I'm a regular as I live a few blocks away, and I've had things "freed" to me as a result. Pop, a half dozen donuts, or a free upgrade from medium to large. "I free that to you" are my favorite words ever.

I would have had no idea to go here if it weren't for my friends who kept raving about their food. Lucky Donuts has Thai Food? WTF, I know its very odd, but kinda charming too. I wouldnt have thought to go on my own but I gave it a shot and will definitely go back to try more of their menu! Overall it was excellent, not the best Pad Thai I have ever had but up near the top of all the times I have eaten it, very very good. Very friendly people working there and very inexpensive as well $6-7 for a lot of food, next time you are in Elkhart redeem the whole experience of having to be in Elkhart by eating at Lucky Donuts!

Their pad thai and and fried rice is the BEST! At my office, we call their egg rolls 'crack sticks' because you can't stop eating them. Their food is a weekly staple where I work!
(5)Melissa L.
Loved their pad thai and egg rolls! Now that we live on the border of Elkhart so it feels we have to drive out of the way to get gpod food on Mishawka! Love that this shop is nearby!!!! I can not wait to try the rest of their menu!

I was a little apprehensive ordering Thai at a donut shop, but I have to say... "It's the Bomb" The Spicy Pad Thai is both affordable and WOW, the portion size is huge! Now onto the taste.... I have to say, it's like a huge flavor bomb going off in your mouth and then comes the heat. It's a lingering, but not obnoxious burn. Great Job guys!

big fan of the tofu pad thai. this is Secret Souvenir's official meeting place. so good we wrote a Lucky's Donut theme song. ps: the sign says Lucky's Donut, but they have more than 1. usually.

Donuts and pad thai under the same roof? And both are good? And its cheap? Sold! For $5.50, you can get the medium pad Thai (which is pretty big), cooked to the spiciness you order. I went with 20 mopeders, and we all got our food within a half hour. In a shop this small, that was impressive. And because we were there at closing, the owner gave each of us a free doughnut. Winner!

We first ordered the egg rolls. Delicious. Served hot and tasty either by themselves or even with their sweet and sour which has a nice hint of ginger. My wife had the Pad Thai with shrimp. Tasted as good as we had while traveling to Thailand this last August. Spot on delicious. I had the Padang which was excellent as well. The chicken was tender, the vegetables crisp yet cooked and the sauce was creamy with all the taste of ginger, coconut and curru. I asked for it to be spicy and it was so only ask for this if you like it like I do. Bit spicy for my wife but loved it. We both ordered the medium portion and it was big so their large must be really huge. The only reason it is not a five star is that the decor is dated and not well kept up and distracts from the food a bit. If they would invest in a Thai themed decor this place would be a five star. If you know and love Thai food or want to try good Thai food, stop by this establishment. P.S. They do serve donuts but we did not order any as Thai food was my focus. :)

Donut shop decor (hard seats; no frills), and it takes a long time to get your food... so you might want to call ahead for take out. But the food is great. I've had the shrimp pad thai and green papaya salad: both excellent, and the serving sizes are very generous (especially for the price): the large is really 1.5-2 meals, for around $10. Heads up that the food is not spicy at all unless you specifically ask for it to be. I had a shrimp pad see ew once a few months ago that was only ok, but I don't think pad see ew is even on the menu any more. The apple fritter is excellent (moist, not too sweet), while a cream-filled donut was lackluster, so there are definitely hits and misses in the donut side of the house. But the apple fritter has been great every time I've tried it.

Really nice staff. Food, not so nice. The chicken and broccoli also included fried rice, but it was bad. Like expired bad. The chicken was barely warm, like it came from the fridge and they microwaved and gave it to me, but whatever I just ate the broccoli. The boba tasted fresh, so this place is as legit as you can get it in Elkhart.

Love this place!!! I always order take out..it's much more convenient. Pad Thai is superb!!! Best cheese wonton and eggrolls any where. Only thing I do not like is the donuts. Very dry, not very sweet and frosting isn't great either. Best place for take out but not donuts :)
(4)Siri T.
The owner is very friendly and hysterical as he came out into the dining area to greet his patrons. This is a no frills quick service place that sells Thai-Chinese food, donuts, and bubble teas. We had the Pad Thai w/ shrimp, Panang Chicken w/ white rice and thai bubble tea smoothies. The flavor of everything was good and the portion size of Pad Thai was excellent!

A donut Thai restaurant is a bit odd, but the food is excellent and the staff is very friendly. I tried spicy vegetarian pad Thai, veg spring roles and paneng veg with tofu and hot chili sauce. Delicious. They should change the sign.

Don't let the name deceive you. They've got much more than just donuts. The food is amazing. I don't think I've ever had anything bad there. A little secret: they have pho and it is really good! Their pad thai is awesome. Lucky, the owner, is pretty funny as well. The food there is the " bomb.com and will make your mouth say wow." Haha
(5)Deanna G.
Absolutely out of this world! The pad Thai was amazing and the portion size was huge!

I live in South Bend and I heard good things about Lucky's. Went out there with my sisters so we all got something different so we can try each others. I got the pad Thai with shrimp, but unfortunately it could have had more shrimp. I was disappointed with that. I was able to sample the garlic chicken and sweet and sour chicken and those were definitely better to me than the pad Thai. I will say the staff was super friendly. Egg rolls great and since the chinese places have gone downhill in SB I will be back to try another dish.

Great Thai food with a side of Donuts. Decent portions and great staff.

Luckys donuts is amazing! I have gone there loads of times and every time it's a new experience, but alway a good one! great food and great service! I always ask the employees what their favorite is and choose from that! the glazed doughnuts are to die for!

A must if you are in the area! Donuts are fresh and tasty. Thai food is very flavorful, can select level of heat, each dish is prepared just for you, and friendly staff. I highly recommend Lucky's Donuts and Thai. If you're not sure exactly what you want, they help if you tell them the ingredients you like. As the owner says, "It's the bomb!!"

It's not winning any awards and is no haute cuisine, but it satisfies a craving. Curries are good, though if you get chicken in anything it will almost certainly be overcooked and rubbery (especially if in a curry or soup). Mekatung noodles are about the only non-curry dish I get. If you are craving Governor's chicken, they have it, but it is quite sweet with a ketchup type base flavor. The fried spring rolls are also good, I mean...they're fried! I suspect some help from MSG but they still hit the spot at the moment.

Ironic that the a joint called the Lucky Donut is known to have "It's the bomb" pad thai. Pad Thai being my default choice when dining out at a Thai restaurant, I had to give this place a try, so I ordered the chicken pad thai. The portions were as large as everyone had previously stated in their reviews. There were two things that stuck out to me about the pad thai: the noodles and the toppings. I was a bit offset by the coloring of the noodles, as they were almost a bright orange, but they had been cooked perfectly. The taste was of definite pad thai, but it was overly sweet, which makes sense because they make donuts, right? Not a favorite of sweet meals though, since desserts and a mid-course should be separate. Next, the toppings were actually were the main star that shined through the dish. The sweetness was lightened a bit with the large amount of green onions, peanuts, and veggies. I really liked this aspect of the dish. I had dined in, so I feel that I became a bit more biased in wanting to up a few more stars into this review. The person taking orders was extremely nice and welcoming, as he immediately wanted to offer free samples of any dish that I had shown interest in. In addition, he welcomed me to dine in, even though it was closing time. The overall atmosphere is more of a hole-in-the-wall feel and of a locally-owned joint. I do not know if I want to come back for the dishes.....maybe a few donuts? Who knows, maybe I will come back when I am itching to find what's "the bomb" in Elkhart.

First of all, their name just cracks me up. I have never seen a Thai place that also makes donuts! I heard they bought an old Dunkin Donuts location and kept on making donuts. Why not, right? At first, I was really excited to find a Thai place in Elkhart. I absolutely love Thai food, and was ready to make Lucky Donuts my go-to whenever the craving hit. I figured getting their Pad Thai was a good way to see how they compared to other Thai restaurants. The Pad Thai was... okay. It was pretty dry, not a lot of nuts, and not as flavorful as I was hoping. The price isn't bad, and the portion size is pretty generous for what it is. They prepare the food pretty quickly, which was great since my friend and I were on a quick lunch break and needed take-out. All in all, not bad. I'm willing to go back and try their Panang curry and see if that makes me change my mind.

Where else can you get Asian food and donuts? Donuts are good and very low priced! You can get any food from Pad Thai to Bourbon Chicken. Egg rolls are amazing. Food is very low priced for the quality! Call ahead to have your order ready to pickup, the place is small and they are always busy.
(4)Aidan H.
The pad Thai is the best we've had, and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant decor is basic, but the food is not. Looking forward to trying more from the menu.

Delicious!!! To be honest, the first few times we drove past this establishment we swore we would never eat there.... Now it's the ONLY place in Elkhart County that we'll order Asian cuisine from! (Talk about eating your words. Haha!) Their tofu selection is amazing, their sweet and sour chicken is by far the best we've tasted ever, I especially enjoy their curry and their Pad Thai can't be beat. I guarantee if you try this place you will not be disappointed.

Best donuts in town! Seriously, the donuts here are excellent and better than any bakery or chain in the area. I've even bought the donuts later in the day and they still tasted fresh. The selection is better in the morning, but still isn't bad in the afternoon. I usually go for the donuts, but had the Thai food a few times. Both times I was satisfied and the portions are very generous. I love the egg rolls, too, but I still go for the donuts! :) In addition to the awesome donuts and good Thai food, the service is fast and friendly. A great little place that I'll keep coming back to!

Don't be too quick to dismiss this place. Not much too look at inside and out, but the food is spot on. You can taste when someone is dedicated to their craft, and that is the case here. Pad Thai is excellent!
