Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

The pizza here reminds me of fake pizza. Sometimes they burn it and sometimes it's not even cooked all the way through. When they actually get it right it's really good. They use four seasons and it aint salt and pepper and hotsauce and ketchup. Prices are okay Try it....

Leonardo's used to be located in the Black Oak section of Gary and when I was a little kid we used to walk 2 blocks every Saturday for a pizza and beef sandwiches. That was the only pizza I knew and it was so wonderful. Then they closed up and I thought they were gone forever.............. Fast forward years later. About 10 years ago I moved to east Chicago and one day driving, happened to see it. I didn't know if it were the same one until I walked inside. That same smell...UMMM!! I had to get a pizza! And let me say---it was FABULOUS!! They never changed the recipe and it is unique to other pizzas. It's not drowned in pizza sauce, for one. It's a little greasy, but who cares? I have never had an undercooked pizza or a burnt one. And for an extra large pizza, you get 2 free liters of pop. At least once a month, my son and I drive out there and pick up cheese, sausage, and mushroom pizza. Out of every pizza I have had, this is number one---in my opinion!

Sorry to say this but the only good thing about this pizza was the price. The pizza lacked favor. The sauce was nonexistent. The crust was soggy and the sausage was greasy. I was really hoping to like this pizza so I can keep my business local. Definately a one and done for me with this place.

I been going to Leonardo's Pizza since I was knee high to a grasshopper! I always liked it because I knew exactly what to expect however being a virtual expert on their pizza as I stated before I have been going there since I was knee high to a grasshopper (and that's no lie!!!) the pizza has changed! The pizza is no longer what it used to be I am 100% sure of it. It was my favorite pizza place but the recipe has changed id say sometime early this year...it's no longer what it used to be. They need to go back to what the original recipe was this new pizza it's ok but it's not Leonardo's pizza....that's why I stopped coming here completely because they no longer sell the pizza I want. Also the roast beef sandwiches used to be excellent now they are down right terrible! If Leanardo's ever goes back to its old ways of serving excellent pizza and roast beef sandwiches let me know otherwise you won't be seeing me ordering anymore their is definitely a change for the worst here

Excellent pizza, I am not a huge pizza fan but this pizza is delicious. The crust is wonderful, fresh kind of buttery. I have crumbled sausage and it's perfect. The man who delivered this pizza was very nice and trust me in this cold weather I might not be so nice. I think if your reading this review and looking for a really good pizza try Leonardo's in East Chicago Indiana, you won't be sorry at all.
