Love this place! We've been here a handful of times, and the food is out of this world. Everything is handmade and prepared with great care. Although everything on their menu is outstanding, it continues to grow and is sure to meet everyone's tastes. There's a large selection on the main/take-out menu, always a great selection of daily specials on the board, a sizable and exotic pizza menu, and now a brand new breakfast menu. There is a quaint little dining area, a large friendly bar, and the place is very clean. The staff is super friendly and courteous. I was greeted with a hearty handshake and "thank you for your service" when I came in straight from work in my sheriff's uniform. The cashier even ran to place my pizza under the heatlamps to prevent it from cooling during checkout. I would highly recommend their burgers. Very tasty. If you're absolutely famished, try the Sidetracker (full pound burger on Texas toast). Despite the great location and lack of variety in the Roselawn/Demotte area, this place is very new and does not seem to do much business. I would hate to think these wonderful people are struggling. If you're in the area, please give them a try.

Dissapointed! Came in a few min after 8pm. I know it closes at nine but maybe I wanted takeout? Maybe a menu! I dunno having never been here before. The waitresses were in back but could see me standing at the counter but never came out front. I stood for about 5 min and left. There were other customers in restaurant so I know they were waiting for food but, at least acknowledge ur potential customers, will ya? Downright rude! If I could give zero stars, I would!

My boyfriend and I were camping in the area and decided to check this place out for dinner. I had the ribs and loved them! We're from the Detroit area, and can find great BBQ easily, so it was nice to have some delicious food while traveling. Our server was attentive and the restaurant was very clean and looked new. If we are ever back in the area, I'm sure we'll check them out again!

My boyfriend and I went approximately 2 weeks ago. We decided to wait for it to slow down, since it just recently opened. The people were nice and greeted us upon entering. We sat in the bar to watch the game. The decor is dated, but overall I could care less, the place was clean. The waitress was nice, we put in our orders and told her we were going to get a to go order as well. She told us to just let us know when to start it. Our food came out... I had a lemon soup that was not very good to start. My boyfriend thought the ribs were great. The sides were gross and beyond bland (mac and cheese and mashed potatoes), it was like they were made out of a box. I had a steak that I asked for medium, it was over done and dry. It also tasted off, like when you try to cook meat that is starting to brown because you don't want to waste it. I call it an iron like taste. The fries were good and the shrimp decent, likely just a frozen type dropped in the deep fryer. We discussed at the table if we were going to say anything. I opted to not say anything, I just always feel bad, but my boyfriend said that we should tell them so they could do better. By the end of the meal we told the waitress, another guy (who we think was the owner) and the hostess that things were not really good at all. The guy we assumed to be the owner, said people have different tastes and that was all. We were stuck with the go home box, because they had already made it. We paid for everything and left an over 20% tip for the waitress because we were the only ones in there and usually feel bad about those things and really she did nothing wrong. We said we would never go back, since the ribs were the only stand out thing. I only decided to write a review after reading on here that they said tell us if there is a problem, we care. I don't think that is the case at all, since my boyfriend tried to politely try to inform them things were not good. I at first felt bad in restaurant, because I feel like it's stab at someone's pride when you tell them there food is not good, but the fact that the only way they addressed it was with the statement that people have different tastes was really frustrating and disappointing. I guess we will continue making our travels out to Wagner's in Porter.
