One of the few places in Crawfordsville to get a decent breakfast, and one of two places that serves breakfast all day. The food is at par, the service is ok, definitely not the cleanest and would even classify this place as a breakfast dive but I've never had a bad meal here. I always seem to get a table pretty fast, and the waitresses do a decent job of making sure you have everything if the place isnt busy. Sundays are the busiest days.

Great big tasty American breakfasts, friendly waitresses who call you hon, and it's cheapo.

i have been out of Wabash for almost three years and I cannot lie that I am shocked this place is still open! I actually really liked, but a lot of people hated it. I was a regular to say the least, but I am weird. They had great skillets for breakfast and sandwiches for lunch and dinner. The only marinara they had was meat marinara and that was weird for my vegetarian friend that got cheese sticks...he was not happy. But, yes, this place needed a face-lift, and I do not know if they have had one. It is a great place to catch up Townies and their lives in C'Ville. Try it out!

Won't be going back here. Service was so-so at best, food was edible but nothing to ever have again.

The Forum is a regular end-of-the-week breakfast spot for my coworkers and I. I've eaten there more times than I can count, and I rarely stray from the handful of meals I choose from. Their menu is pretty expansive, but I stick to what I know is good. Breakfast is available anytime of day, and many lunch items are available in the morning hours. I'll get the one big "con" out of the way first. The waitstaff is VERY uneven when it comes to attitude and service quality. Once you get to know the waitresses, you can deal with them accordingly. But tread lightly until you get a feel for them ;) There's one waitress in particular that's a tough cookie, to put it lightly. It seems as if you get the best treatment if you're elderly, or work in law enforcement. It's not really a huge problem, though. The food is cooked to order, and usually comes out fresh and at the correct temperature. If you arrive right at opening in the mornings, sometimes the cook is running a little late and you may have to wait a few minutes longer than usual for your food. This has happened to me a few times. Don't expect a speedy in-and-out at The Forum, especially when the house is packed. The Forum regularly has a dessert display case full of various cakes and pies, many of which are pretty decent. If you're in the mood for breakfast, definitely check out their skillet breakfasts. The Melting Pot skillet is amazing, and the Haystack is pretty decent as well. Their sausage gravy is hit-and-miss, but it's great when it's done right. Stay away from the omelets, unless you like your omelets browned and crispy on the outside. They'll cook you a pretty decent diner-quality steak if that's what you're in the mood for, and the Forum Burger is quite good. The bathrooms are pretty dingy, so take care of that business at home if possible. It's not disgusting or anything, just a little on the dirty side. Decor leaves something to be desired, in my opinion. It's fairly dark and drab inside, with tacky glass chandelier-ish lamps above the tables. But hey, it's a diner! It's kinda charming I guess, in a ho-hum kind of way. The food is usually good enough to make up for the spotty service. If you're in the mood for some good diner grub in a rather gloomily lit atmosphere, The Forum is a good spot to check out.

I always walk away with a food baby after I eat breakfast here! mmmmmm The Forum. Usually, I have one of the skillet breakfasts, though last time I was there I had a bite of my boyfriend's corn beef hash! Delish! Next time I'm getting that. You have to time your arrival if you go on a Sunday to beat the church crowds. *This tip is strictly for locals only! I have a Crawfordsville High School Band Card that I never use! The FORUM is on there! 10% off your meal! Don't forget next time!

I like this place. I love the open face beef Manhattan. My folks love the turkey Manhattan. My wife likes the fish dishes. Good omelets. Give it a try

I'll admit I was weary to try this place at first because rumors but I'm glad I did. I will say you have to be there when the right employees are there. Some times the food isn't the greatest because it's a different cook. The decor isn't the best, needs some updating. My fav dish is the omelets. Good place to come for some burgers and fries to lasagna.

Sort of liked a Frisch's or Denny's. Decor leaves something to be desired. Food was okay and priced right. It could really use a facelift. It just seemed kind of dingy.

I'm tired of my reviews being taken down by yelp. This makes me wonder if I can even trust their website on the correct reviews if they are going to pick and choose which review they are going to keep on their website , with that being said, again, the forum is the best restaurant in town. Everything that I have ordered there has been good ,if not delicious. I have been coming here for yrs and their breakfast is amazing(haystack) and their dinner items are great as well. ( club sandwiches, lasagna,Manhattans and their soups are usually always delish). The decor is not the greatest so if you can look over that, then I think you will really enjoy it. Oh and by the way, the portions are enormous.

Stumbled across this place looking for somewhere to eat lunch and it was exactly what you'd guess it was from the outside - dinery sort of menu, kind of run-down and dingy as far as atmosphere goes. But the food was solid - good French dip and the curly fries were like Arbys, but much better to me. I stood at the door for quite a while, because there was a menu stand and no "seat yourself" sign, leading me to think they would seat me. After nobody acknowledged me for about 5 minutes, I asked someone bussing the tables if I was supposed to just seat myself and he told me I could sit wherever I wanted. Still took a few minutes to get waited on - but once I did, my server was quite good - friendly, efficient, didn't let my drink run out, etc.

The Forum in two words: It's fine. It's very similar to a Perkins' - the food, the atmosphere, the staff, the crowd on a Sunday morning. This is apparently the only choice you have for breakfast in Crawfordsville at that time. I'm not complaining, but you'd think a college town would take advantage of the fact that there are hundreds of hung-over students who need someplace to soak up all the alcohol after a Saturday night of partying. Still, you get seated fairly quickly, even if there is absolutely no place to stand without being in someone's way while you're waiting for a table. I've only been here for breakfast, but I left full both times, if not completely impressed. This particular time, I got the 2 x 2 x 2 Breakfast (two pancakes or French Toast, two eggs and two pieces of bacon or sausage) and asked for cheese scrambled into my eggs. I was figuring that they'd come out with shredded cheddar cooked into them... instead I got scrambled eggs with two pieces of barely-melted American cheese slapped on top. Kind of weird. But the orange juice is pulpy (my favorite), the American skillet was chock-full of sausage and ham, and our waitress was efficient and punctuated every sentence with "honey." Seeing as how I have no other choices when I'm in Crawfordsville at breakfast time on a Sunday, I'll probably be back.

For a long time I really didn't like this place but it has grown on me. I think their lunch and dinner food is better than their breakfast. I have got a few things on the breakfast menu I really didn't like such as one of their skillet breakfasts. The forum burger and steak and eggs are always good and maybe I will give a few other places a try. I would like it more if it was completely non smoking but that's a small inconvenience.

REDUNDANT UPDATE ALERT! It's still cheap and mostly edible. I realized why I still have a soft spot with some of these places. It's all in the company. I miss eating here with my friends. I'm super spoiled now, smoking + eating = NNNOPE! P.S. The awesome near-deathers seem to have died in my absence and Loud-Voice-Guy wasn't in there. Also, the super-bitch waitress got fired. Dude, she ruled.

This place is awful! My husband and I went here one weekend day for breakfast, and I ordered pancakes and bacon for breakfast. I still haven't figured out how they solidified dirty dishwater, but that is what the "pancakes" on my plate tasted like. After three bites I couldn't eat any more. My husband ordered an omelet, which arrived cold. We have never gone back and probably won't as long as we live here.
