So disappointed. We go here about every Sunday. Last couple months it's been super disappointing. They got my food wrong several times then today top it off for us. We waiting 1 hour for our food. They say it's just busy and they can't do anything about it. Well maybe they need hire more kitchen staff!! It was not even that busy first off and no where makes 4 people wait 1 hour on jut their food. We told the manager and she just laughed it off and said were busy. Won't be going back for a long time. When you wait an hour for food you want it hot and it wasn't hot!!!

I dined there on 3/15 for an early dinner. I was passing through and chose this place because I saw on their menu online that they have Ceviche. Ceviche is an authentic dish and not easy to find in the Midwest and especially at our Mexican restaurants. So when I saw that, I explored the rest of the menu, and yeah, I was sold. Their menu is very creative and authentic, unlike many places where the 20 combinations of 4 basic burritos dominate the menu. This place knows what they're doing and it definitely shows. We ordered some beers, and Ceviche for an appetizer. Here, it is served on 3 small corn or flour fried tortillas and with an avocado slice on top. I've never had it this way before and it was so good. The shrimp tartar and pico was very delectable and tasted very fresh and the lime and cilantro was perfectly balanced. I won't butcher the spellings of our entrees but they were both firsts for us, and we were so pleased! My entree was essentially a Hispanic twist on Cordon Bleu, and was so good! Her entree is pictured in my review. The plating was very nice, which is VERY RARE for meals in this price range imo. We finished with Sopapilla and it was an A+ dish as well. Good plating, very tasty, and cheap! If I lived within 30 min of this place I would done there weekly no doubt about it. Our server was a young man and he was excellent. Fast, took notes, read it back, never missed a beat. He had a large section and killed it. The timing of the food was great as well. He very cool, calm and collected, which is crazy to me because I used to serve tables and I certainly never had his demeanor. Food came out quick and hot as well, and everything was perfect. If you are nearby or passing through, this place is a must try, not optional!

Deserves zero stars! Restaurant is filthy. We were sat in the bar where the greeter swiped his hand over the table to knock food remains to the floor as he removed previous occupants go box. We had a great view of the overflowing dirty plates bin. Got drinks and greasy chips with salsa after 10 minutes of waiting. Waited 15 minutes more and no one took our order so we left money to cover our sodas and left.

Unfortunately, 0 stars are not possible. There's really not much else to say about this place, and I'm Mexican, so that's saying something. Oh and by the way m.journalreview.com/mobi…

The chiles toreados were nice, the pico de gallo was perfect, everything seemed fresh- except the beans, which is confusing. I tend to gauge a Mexican restaurant by its beans, before anything else. The beans here tasted canned. Yuck. And a shock, considering the quality of the rest of our orders. My shrimp sampler (Cameron de Ranch Bravo) was really nice...two bacon-wrapped shrimp, two breaded and fried, two with a yummy garlic sauce cooked in. My rice tasted authentic, nice considering how most Mexican places cut that corner. Hubby ordered the Molcajete dish, with steak, chicken, chorizo, cactus, potato, onion, and mushrooms. Etc. Though the chorizo added wonderful flavor, the grease was WAY overboard. He also asked for sliced avocado on the side, which was fresh and nice. Service was friendly and diligent, but not invasive. Decor is traditional and, rarer nowadays, it seems, NOT overly cheesy! Overall, was a good experience. They have an extensive menu and it includes seafood dishes, which is hard to find around here. I think it is worth coming back and exploring more of!

There are two decent Mexican restaurants in Crawfordsville, this is one. The food is good. It's not totally authentic but it's not overly Americanized either. They've always come through delivering delicious. I tried almost everything they ever had to offer and the only things that weren't good were things I didn't like beforehand. If you are from out of town and having trouble finding somewhere to have a meal, it's worth it to make your way here and enjoy Mexican food served by actual Mexicans. That's always a good sign.

My husband and I frequent this place. He usually gets some taco trio that he likes. I usually order the pork carnitas, and they are truly wonderful! The service is always wonderful as well.

This is a good place for mexican cuisine. Good value and good food and service. Overall, one of the more solid mexican restaurants for Cville.

My family and I go here a lot. They have excellent food. Sometimes the waiters could be better but the good food makes up for it. Very good!

I think Rancho's probably the best place in Crawfordsville to get Mexican food. The owners and servers are really friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious.

Best Arroz con Pollo of any Mexican restaurant I've been to! The chips sometimes taste funny, like they were deep fried in burnt grease, but that's only happened a couple times. I LOVE the queso. The salsa is fab as well, though it may have too many onions for some. All in all, a great place for the church family to eat for Sunday afternoon lunch!

My boyfriend and I had a very enjoyable experience here last week for dinner when passing through town. We agreed that the menu, although vast, was really user friendly. I liked that instead of having a huge list of numbered combination plates you could make your own from a list of choices for... $6.99. Really great prices. The queso dip and the margaritas weren't the best I have ever had by any means but the price was right on those as well. And they were fine, just not the best. The environment is nice and the staff is welcoming. I would definitely return and I am glad we stopped.

After visiting most of the other non-chain restaurants in Crawfordsville, we were pleasantly surprised by Ranch Bravo. We basically decided to go there because there were a lot of cars in the parking lot compared to two places down the street. The atmosphere is nice and seating comfortable for large or small groups. The service initially was attentive and prompt, then we were left without for a time. The food arrived very quickly, was piping hot and cooked to perfection. The cheese enchiladas are delicious and the steak, shrimp and chicken fajitas generous. I found the prices tobe reasonable for the quantity of food.

Coming from a Mexican this is good Mexican food. Definitely has that authentic flavor. Good music too! I came here for dinner while on a business trip. The owner kept checking up on me to see how things were which was nice. Had the carnitas for dinner. Excellent dish.

We came in for the IronMan races, and found this on Yelp. Service was wonderful, and the food was excellent. My partner and I were going to split fajitas, but it turned out we were hungrier than half a meal. Combo beef-chicken-shrimp fajitas were food, with a stronger seasoning than most boring fajitas (if a little light on the shrimp). But there was a seafood dish with shrimp and scallops that was wonderful - I wish I had written this then, and not two days later, so I had the name of the dish. Not sure about the beans - I'm not a bean guy, but my partner loved 'em. We didn't *have* the fried ice-cream, but it was served in little taco-dishes and looked great. Bottom line: it's a great place for Mexican. Very friendly, quality food, great service, family-friendly, and reasonably priced.

This is one of my favorite restaurants and has made me a fan of Mexican food for the rest of my life. My family and I actually refuse to eat Mexican food anywhere else because it is so authentic and made with great quality here. My recommendation for something to eat would be a chile relleno, this on the back page where the combination platters are. This is a cheese stuffed chili pepper deep fried. Unlike most Mexican restaurants where when you order then you end up getting something that looks like dog vomit is this is amazing. Most places when you get a combination plate you have to choose from their select number of plates but that is not the case here. You are allowed to all of the same item if you choose so or you can mix it up every time. Another favorite is the nacho racheros, this is their house special and is everything good in the world piled high on nachos. Also, the Margaritas are made strong and very tasty and they have a peach and a mango flavor as well as the original flavor. As far as vegetarian options there are plenty of them on the menu as well as the option to subtract items from the meal to make it fit your dietary needs. I eat vegetarian as much as possible and have not had a problem when I have asked for items without meat.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
