My parents idea of "eating something different" is Culver's. *le sigh* Anyways, Culvers is A-OK for a slight step up from McDonalds. They have nearly a dozen snackpack meals for less than $4 - sandwich, small fries & small drink. I had the Deluxe snackpack (lettuce tomato onion on a cheeseburger) and it was solidly okay. The burger was hot and the toppings fresh, but the fries were disappointing. No flavor and not really even hot. Dousing them in ketchup helped a bit. The staff was friendly but nothing special. The restaurant is fairly new so looks neat & clean at first, but many of the tables weren't clean at 5:30 with very few customers inside.

This place has a HUGE menu. Do yourself a favor and go inside, the drive-thru menu only lists about half. The frozen custard is very tasty and they have a large selection of sundaes, and I think the burgers and fries are good as well.

Exceptional menu for a fast food joint. Burgers and milkshakes that rival Steak N Shake, Ice cream that rivals Dairy Queen, with additonal entrees that include chicken or fish. Their side dishes are pretty good too. Sweet potatoe fries and cheese curds are delicious! This would probably be my favorite fast food place if they werent so expensive (Meals are usually always over $10/per person).

Wow this is the best burger I've had in a long time! Chargrilled taste and the cheese curds are hot and fresh. Worth stopping in. I've never heard of this company before but if I'm ever back in the area I will come here again. Also friendly service.

This was my one possible pit stop for Midwestern fare (not my choice) and I didn't expect much for a fast food chain. I ordered the indiana famous pork tenderloin sandwhich, cheese curds fried, and frozen turtle custard sundae. I have nothing else locally to compare it to, but my picky cheap parents had nothing bad and all good things to say about. I was surprised by the freshness, taste, and amazingly great taste of the dairy products. Everything tasted awesome and my mom said it was the best salad she ever had. Even better was the first class customer service! My parents agreed we will be back to another location on our roadtrip. I got brownie points and my tummy was happy! The curds tasted like homemade mini-cheese sticks. The sundae was rich and not too cold. The manager said they are actually fast casual, remembered who I was, and the entire staff wished me good luck on my trip. I dream of this kind of customer service everyday, but is typically a pipe dream.

It is always good to eat here. I love that you can get a Reuben and a malt. The service here is fast, courteous, and precise. The environment is clean and it has free wifi. I hate the drink station of all the Culvers. It is cramped and bothersome. This specific location is really good.

Recently, we were disappointed with the very small size of their one dip custard cup serving size. When I complained, the manager said that was all they could do so we left and went to McDonald's and only paid $1 for a much larger serving. Their poor customer service is disappointing, since it's a convenient location on our way through Crawfordsville. Apparently, they think that they can charge higher prices and only offer marginal customer service. In the past, their product has been better, but at a higher price point than their competitors. I think that time will tell, but I've noticed that they're not as busy lately, since the new has worn off. Perhaps the owners and managers will take notice before it's too late. Our friends have had a similar bad experience with poor quality and service and will not return. On the same trip, the girl who handed me my change let go too fast and a $1 went flying behind me in the drive through. I had to unbuckle my seatbelt and get out of my car to get it. She didn't even offer to help and obviously didn't care...I went online to the corporate website and reported the tiny serving size, but never heard back. That's two strikes against Culver's now...Thankfully, the Lafayette store is much better!

Culver's is the only place in town that I know of to get crinkle cut fries. Those are my favorite type, so I always get fries when I go there (and they're always hot!). Also, they have this AWESOME lid holder thing for your drinks, I can't explain it, you just need to go see it.
