Normally, I might try to hide my initial enthusiasm or decide that a 5 is really a 4, merely in an effort to combat my own personal grade-inflation. But Crawfordsville could use a few more yelps and a little more enthusiasm and, besides, Arni's was downright good. So, why not show a little excitement for a little engine that truly could? On the recommendation of the driver who drove me to Crawfordsville, I had the "Gut Buster" sandwich. When I'd asked him what it was, he really couldn't describe it. And now that I've had one, I really can't either. Let's put it this way, if I were to try to make one of these at home, I'd take a delicious meat-ball, douse it in could-be-better-but-not embarrassing spaghetti sauce, and have it trampled under-foot. I'd then take the juicy, crumbled mess, chop an onion into it, cover it with mozzarella and toast the thing together between two halves of good, Italian bread. The result is a toasted sandwich, reminiscent of a meatball sandwich but with the texture of a Sloppy Joe. I haven't had anything else at Arni's, but the Gut Buster was a real treat!

I've been to Arni's a handful of times, and never had a bad experience. My most recent trip was with my children and my parents. The pizza was excellent as usual, and the staff were fabulous. They truly went above and beyond to make us comfortable and happy. Arni's pizza is similar in style to Pizza King, but the toppings are more plentiful than at the King. I've never tried any of their sandwiches, but my friends have always enjoyed them. The salads are amazing! I don't know what it is, but they're just really great. Always fresh ingredients, and the portions are very generous. If you're in the mood for a not-so-healthy salad, I highly recommend the Southern Fried Chicken salad. The tables, floors, and bathrooms are always clean and in order. The only problem with Arni's is that their parking lot is very small. It's not hard to find parking nearby on the street, though. Thumbs all the way up for Arni's!

If Arni's really is the best in town, I weep for you Crawfordsville. The crust would had been better if Chef-boy-ardee made it. The sauce tasted like it was straight from a can whith no seasoning what-so-ever. The sausage was dry and flavorless. Will definately not be returning.

This place is CHEAP. And I mean that in the best way possible. The best thing on the menu is the Junior Salad. The salad dressings are homemade and wonderful. The pizza is really good midwest-style thin crust. The sandwiches are really good, better than how they sound on the menu. The food comes out really fast and very fresh, and take out orders are always accurate. One of my favorite places in Crawfordsville, and right next to Wabash College.

Just doesn't agree with my stomach. Someone once told me that you have to eat the food really fast or chew the Junior salads a certain number of bites in order to not get indigestion. That's too much trouble for me! I'll stick to food that doesn't require a side of Pepto!

I ate here more than handful of times growing up here. This is some of the worst pizza I have ever eaten. It's absolute shit. I t doesn't even deserve to be called pizza. Frozen, canned, you name it, nothing's fresh here. The huge chef salads really are the only reason I ever ate here. They're solid and MASSIVE. -note, do not consider this a healthy option- It's made by teenagers who don't give a fuck.

Just an FYI - this more of a carry-out place. There are some tables and chairs, but the bulk of the business is carry-out. What I ordered was ok, but had expected a restaurant setting and it isn't (really).

Let's just start off with this--I do not go to Arni's for the pizza. I do like that they chop up the pepperoni, but that's about the end of my compliments for the pizza. It's always fairly underwhelming. The salad and breadsticks with nacho cheese is where it's at for me when it comes to Arni's. I often crave their Arni's junior salad. It's chopped iceberg lettuce covered with tons of toppings like: turkey, ham, radishes, onion, cheese, croutons, and probably something else yummy that I'm forgetting. Also, don't let the word "junior" fool you--this is not some tiny two-bite salad! Arni's really good about letting you customize your salad, too. I have never encountered an employee who complained or looked irritated when I said I did not want onions, which makes me a happy customer who always looks forward to my onion-less Arni's junior salad.

Very good pizza, better than Pizza Hut, and on par with other regional pizza joints like Pizza King. Workers do seem to be moving too quickly to take orders properly, so be sure to speak your order clearly and get confirmation if ordering carry-out. Arni's breadsticks are nostalgic for me in that they remind me of the freezer-burnt breadsticks that were served in my high school cafeteria.

My girlfriend swears by this being one of the best pizza places out there, and they delivered! The service was friendly and inviting, the restaurant itself is such a small charming place; I love it. Now, the food, is divine! We ordered a large pizza 1/2 with mushroom and olives, and 1/2 with double sausage. My first bite was a bite into heaven. The crust was perfect, the mushrooms and olives tasted so fresh, and the cheese was amazing. We also ordered bread sticks, and they were so light and fluffy; I've never had a better bread stick. The nacho cheese they serve it with is a nice touch as well. Arnis lives up to its hype, and I can't wait to go back and try some of their sandwiches and amazing salads :)

Every time I'm back on campus, I have to stop at Arni's! Arni's is one of those places that you just have a craving for their food every so often. Their pizzas are the old school style (kinda like Pizza king) but made with much better ingredients. Their salads are HUGE and are not just all lettuce, but generously helped on top ingredients. My all time favorite, and I can't seem to get off of this, is their Hot Ham and Cheese! Shredded ham, mozzarella cheese, placed into a bowl-cut like piece of bread/large-roll (covered with the top cut out), wrapped in foil and baked in their pizza oven for about 8-10 minutes! (Drool) AHHHHHH, heavenly sandwich, and hot hot hot!!!!! They also have a killer meatball sandwich (which stomps Subway's, Blimpie's or Quizno's) and a Stromboli that is out of this world. Their are Arni's locations in Indianapolis and Lafayette, IN, but this location is the only one I frequent. The Indianapolis location is a new one. They used to be at 86th and Michigan Road, but have now moved northeast to a brand new 96th Street location, between Keystone and Allisonville, near the Moon Dog, et al. Check out the original toasted sandwhich( forget what Quizno's says!)

I was visiting Crawfordsville with my two sons. After zip-lining at Indiana Zipline Tours ,we stopped in at Arni's after reading the good reviews. We left half our pizza uneaten without boxing it up to take back. The crust tasted a bit burned. I love thin crust but this tasted like cardboard. The sauce was too sharp with a strong oregano flavor--again--tasted more like straight tomato paste with seasonings. I wasn't impressed, nor were my hungry boys, who unfortunately left hungry too.

It's a little pricy but delicious!!! Love the gut buster, (with extra bbq) breadsticks and cheese small inside but big enough for the small town. The pizza is delicious but can't get too many toppings bc it's pricy.

What's no to love at Arni's. It's all good. Fresh ingredients. Tasty pizza and sandwiches. Huge, filling salads. They knock it out f the park every day here.

My mother doesn't come back to Indiana very often, but when she does; she has some pretty explicit instructions for what she wants to eat while she's up here. At the top of her list is Arni's Pizza in Crawfordsville, and I'd have to agree with her on this. Although my grandmother has attempted to re-write history by reminding me how much she cooked when I was younger, all I can remember is pizza. I also believe my grandmother is the main reason there were so many pizza places in Crawfordsville when I was growing up. Arni's came around after the Pizza Cottage closed, but it's one of our favorites now. What makes Arni's different? For me, it's the crust. Unlike some of the other chains, the crust is flat, salty and thin. Like crust? Eat somewhere else. It's here only to serve as a delivery method for the cheese and toppings that are piled on top of this wonderful crust. It's delicious, and I find myself eating 5, 6 7 (or more) pieces of this pizza. Thankfully they're smaller than a regular pizza!

On a Sunday afternoon motorcycle trip we found ourselves in Crawfordsville. Saw Arnies with lots of cars outside. As we walked in there seemed to be a lot of to go orders. The tiny eating areas were crowded, but plenty of room for us. Tossed salad was huge and good! The sandwich too was good and HUGE. Great place to stop.

Walked in, employees thanked us for choosing their restaurant. Questions were answered and pictures of actual menu items looked great. Sandwiches looked just like the picture and tasted fantastic. A great place to eat.

I grew up in the 'ville, but I've only eaten Arni's a few dozen times. I'm not sure why I've not been there more often, as it's one of the best cheapie food places in town. I had lunch here with my little bro (a Wabash student) this week. A Jr Salad (basic salad w/ham, turkey, cheese & assorted veggies), two orders of breadsticks & cheese with 2 drinks for around $11. The food came out quickly and piping hot. I'd also recommend their pizza (yup, very similar to Pizza King) and their stromboli sandwiches. The people are normally friendly & it's nice to frequent a locals place. It gets a little crazy at lunch from time to time, though, and it's a strange layout, so it feels even more cramped...no matter, once you've had your fill of carbs. :)

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
