Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

A special treat to find really good Italian food here in Our new hometown Corydon. Friday night is often our night out...we will be coming back to taste more of the "made to order" beyond delicious food on this menu. There were four of us and we were not disappointed. Friendly service, and wonderful warm bread with rich oil and herbs while our orders were being prepared. One of my Italian favorites is Eggplant Parmesan, freshly prepared eggplant lightly sautéed with wonderfully fresh ingredients...tomatoes, basil, ricotta, cheese, tomato sauce and ??? Delicious! My date ordered Italian sausage with peppers and was reminded of our favorite restaurants on the "Hill" in St Louis. Chicken piccata beautifully presented and very tasty. And the freshly made Lasagna wad pronounced tasty. We felt well treated as Alberto came to. Heck on us and our meals.

So...a bit of a drive from Ft Knox but well worth it. Everything is made to order, so if you want to change something, go for it, they'll accommodate you. The stuffed hot peppers are delicious, the eggplant was delicious and to top it off a glass of wine. Excellent.

Don't waste your time !! Very limited menu. I asked the waitress what their best dish was and she showed me 3 selections and none are Italian dishes ! Found that odd since this was advertised as an Italian restaurant. After reading this pitiful menu I left. Thanks but no thanks.

This place is good seeming that Corydon does not have a true Italian place. The pricing is a bit expensive compared to local restaurants but really it's only $16-$18 a plate which is not that bad. I had no complaints about our service. It was not that busy when I went but I can see the place filling up pretty quickly since the seating area is not that large. Our food was great and they give out pretty large servings. The bar selection had a good wine selection from what I could tell (I am not a wine person). However they could have more draft beer selections.

We tried to eat here, but no one said a word to us and all the tables were dirty. Five minutes later we left.

There is a dearth of decent dining establishments in Corydon. If you want something that comes with fries thrust from the drive through window into your grubby little hands, you are in luck. Corydon is lousy with fast food joints. I was pretty excited to see that Alberto's had opened. I was hoping that it would become a new favorite place. I was saddened by the fact that our experience wasn't all that great. I ordered some pasta dish with shrimp and a tomato and cream based sauce that was bland and watery. The shrimp was rubbery. I was willing to concede that, perhaps, I ordered the one thing that wasn't delicious. Sexy Beast ordered the Pasta Alfredo and asked that chicken be added. The sauce was actually pretty good. The chicken was chopped up breaded, deep-fried chicken tenders. Since we waited damn near forever for the food to be brought out, Sexy Beast declined sending it back. He just picked out the chicken. The bread was good. I hear great things about the location in Downtown Corydon so we may give that one a shot sometime soon.

We came here because we were staying at the nearby holiday Inn express. The restaurant is in a strip mall. The staff were really really friendly. They even sat down with us. The food was good. I ordered something that I didn't like and they replaced it with no charge on are bill. It was not very loud. We were about the only people in there. They do a lot of carry out.

Dining here was moderately good, if that. Prices were high for this area and while made to order, the cook is no refined creator of delicately flavored sauces. The pasta and sauce was nothing special. The pork loin and other dishes at 17$ a pop were loaded with sauces, which were good but not balanced. My brother in law is a better cook. Way better. The dining experience itself was not that great either. I didn't appreciate having to request butter with our bread nor that my aged, cheap steak knife was so small that it couldn't balance on the edge of my plate without falling in and getting all oily. No one noticed or thought of this so I found another napkin to wipe it off so I could keep using it throughout the dinner. Small but annoying things. I wouldn't say there's finally a good restaurant in Corydon. It's expensive, but not good. I didn't expect New York or Chicago gold standard, but the prices should match the sort of okay fare. They don't. Maybe the meat balls are good. I didn't have that.
