I was told Gramz Bakery was a "must" in Columbus. Loving coffee and all things baked, I decided to check it out. I'll be honest, my first time there, I was underwhelmed. The coffee "machine," which amounted to a gas station cappuccino maker was out, so no coffee. The cinnamon role was adequate, but not extraordinary. Basically, a meh experience. A few weeks later, I returned to Gramz. To my delight, the terrible, malfunctioning coffee machine has been replaced with a bar top with eight different brewed coffees. AMAZING! I also went with the sticky pecan role and it was incredible. Gramz is making improvements, which are helping it keep stride with the evolving Columbus downtown. Take a minute, check it out. Just avoid the "coffee machine."

Cinnamon roll was just not impressive. Microwaved. Dry. I would have picked some other pastry but there were not many to pick from at this bakery. There are plenty of coffee varieties though. That's nice. Nothing bad to say about my pour-your-own coffee experience, just not what I had hoped for.

Columbus now has excellent coffee downtown! A nice selection of freshly brewed carafes, as well as a recently added true professional espresso machine. It's great to have such good coffee available in the area, much better than Starbucks, and with the benefit of supporting a very friendly local business.

Happened onto Gramz - it did not show in my Yelp search for coffee. Happy I did! Nice folks, good coffee. Treats looked delicious!

I adore this bakery so much, I'm confused why I never reviewed it. Not only is everything delicious, the staff are always kind and ready for questions. Downside: if you're on a healthy eating regimen the display case is a murderer of self control. :)

Had an amazing red velvet cake with real cream cheese icing! Will definitely get our future cakes from Gramz.

I was just in and out pretty quick. Had a cinnamon roll. It was good. If you're looking for a warm drink they have many varieties of coffee but not anything else that I could tell.

So lovely to have a bakery that's not a chain...I was visiting friends (little friends!) and the woman behind the counter was so sweet and patient with us as we ordered. It looks like a cozy, quiet place to come for a sweet treat any time and its very convenient to other things we wanted to walk to later. We tried quiche (ham and cheese) and pecan rolls and cinnamon rolls and cookies...and coffee for me from the little dispenser...everything was SO tasty. My one little friend was so taken with the quiche he had TWO slices!! :) I'm telling you...this was yummy. If I was in the area, I'd be here often!

This is a very nice shop! The owner is always there and is super friendly every time I go in. They have about 10 coffee flavors on tap and will apparently be adding cold brew coffees in the very near future. Yum. The baked goods are incredible. You can literally taste the buttercream when you walk through the door. So good!

Very sorry to say I was not able to try Gramz Bakery. After reviewing their website, which stated that orders should be placed 48 hours prior to date desired, I called on Monday morning to order 12 bagels to be picked up this Friday or Saturday. I was told they couldn't fill the order. Just a dozen bagels? Too bad. I'm glad others like the bakery and hope some day I'll be able to test it as well.

First off, the smell upon walking into this little bakery is out of this world. The sign out front said "we have you covered for lunch and dinner" but the sandwiches were just boxed, from the catering company (Pieper's) down the street. So I went down the street for lunch and came back here for dessert! I was torn between the many delightful looking (and smelling) options. The cinnamon rolls and nut rolls were gazing at me from near the register, there were several pies in a refrigerated case, and also various brownies, bars, cookies, and scones. I ended up settling on the Oatmeal Carmelita...nuts, caramel, oatmeal, and chocolate chips. It was awesome! Really tasting with a nice balance of flavors, fresh soft texture. At $1.50 I felt I got a bargain. The guy who got my brownie for me was polite AND I was impressed that he seemed to know exactly what was in each dessert. When I asked if there was anything with coconut in it, he said they DID have chocolate coconut cupcakes, but were out...and then offered that I could call ahead to make sure they made whatever it was that I was after. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Columbus and my coworkers were all jealous of my tasty treat! The reason for 4 stars is because I've only been there once and tried only 1 item.

We read good things about this place on Yelp and since it was on the main drag, I was expecting a European style bakery. But, t'was not so. They didn't have many things in the bakery case, and what was there did not look that great. We just walked out without buying anything. Maybe we went on a bad day. After spending 3 days in this town, I realized that you can't really compare their restaurants and bakeries with the ones in the major cities. Expect to find quality on par with other Midwest mid-size cities.

I've tried this place a couple of times when in town and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious bakery treats. My favorite is their banana nut bread. The best banana bread I've had. And they also made one on request to pick up the following day when they were out of it. Extremely friendly staff too. I will definitely come back when I'm in town. So should you!

The atmosphere of this place is perfect. But never ever get the cupcakes the only good thing about them is the frosting.

Awesome quiche, scones, brownies, sugar cookies... On second thought, EVERY item they serve at Gramz is EXCELLENT!! I highly recommend!

After years of buying goods from the Steele's at farmers markets, my wife and I are over joyed that they finally have a place of their own to sell their AWESOME baked goods. I've never bought something I didn't like - didn't love - from the Steele's. Their pecan rolls (obtained from their purchase of Shaffer's House of Bread) are the best I've ever tasted and their scones put anything Panera or Starbucks have to shame. I bought a brownie yesterday but didn't eat it until today; triple-chocolate heaven. GO GRAMZ!!
