Three and a half, actually, for their friendly and helpful waitresses. Apples to apples, this is a nice hometown burger and hot dog place but nothing remarkable. Pluses: amazing prices, they grill their hotdogs, deep fried mushrooms, very much a hometown restaurant. Minuses: they don't grill their hotdogs long enough, their buns are not great quality, personally not a fan of Pepsi products.

Its pretty decent. I am an Fort Wayne Coney Island fan, but the Nook inst bad at all. The service is always great and the food is always hot. I am not a huge fan of the chilli sauce, but that's just me other than that, it makes for a good quick lunch.

Stopped in on the way to Fort Wayne and had an excellent lunch at The Nook. Had the Coney Basket and tried a breaded cheeseburger which is a regional delicacy as I learned later. Never heard of it before. All were excellent and you'd serve yourself well to stop in yourself. Thanks, Nook.

I grew up in Columbia City on Crooked Lake, I miss it every day. Me and my father went every weekend to the Nook almost from when I was 5 to 12 years old. The hot dogs were always great, owner was friendly. I was always amazed because there was this big rack of gum there I would always get gum before leaving. The onion rings were my favorite. Have not been in about 8 years but if its anything like it was go try it out!

You will not be disappointed when taking in the culinary delights and cultural ambiance of the Nook. Talk about COLD iced tea. We got the tenderloin and the coney basket with Fries. WOW! Trying to find the heart of Columbia City? Try the Nook! How easy is that?

Good small town take on the Coney Dog, with the chili sauce cooked up right in the front window. Fresh and flavorful. Two in a basket with fries will only set you back $3.95. What a deal!

Was back in the area once again and HAD to stop in The Nook to grab some lunch. On this trip, my wife remembered her cheeseburger the last time we were there, so she ordered one with fries this time. I decided that even though the Coneys were delicious on the previous visit, I simply HAD to try something else. Since this part of Indiana is famous for their tenderloin sandwiches, I decided to try one with fries. The very friendly and helpful waitress suggested that I try the tenderloin with tomato, lettuce, and onion and it was AWESOME. We both had iced tea and it was very very cold and tasty as can be. This place is definitely a keeper and envy people who live in Columbia City that they can eat at this place regularly.

The Nook is known for their Coney baskets, two coney's with everything and fries. Their milk shakes, onion rings, and burgers are just as awesome. The Nook is where I take friends and family to eat when they are from out of town.
