Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Chicago's Pizza is a three to four star restaurant and a solid stop for pizza between St. Louis and Indianapolis. The food and atmosphere are better than the outside facade would indicate. The decor feels like a 1970's pizzeria with walls adorned almost totally in wood paneling. I would say, there is a good chance, the building was previously a Rax at some point in it's lifetime. They have pepsi products and the mountain dew was delicious. I didn't partake in the salad bar, but it appeared to be better stocked than your typical pizzeria salad bar. Breadsticks were good and the pizza was okay, not amazing, but good enough for a small chain store that is basically in the middle of nowhere. Also the service was excellent. Our server was helpful, personable, efficient, and made our experience as pleasant as possible. If you are in the area, I would check it out. If it's not conveniently located along the way wherever you are going, I probably wouldn't make a special trip to go here.

Stopped here for lunch and had the pizza buffet. Fresh salad bar with yummy soft breadsticks. Pizza was hot and tasty too!

if you are looking for better quality food, good place to grab a fresh hot pizza and avoid fast food junk while on the road. Stopped by for a quick bite on our way to/from Indianapolis. Just ask them to go easy on the cheese. I took off 1 star for the extra cheese that we would have preferred to be lighter. Otherwise a good selection of pizzas for everybody's taste. Besides the food what I liked about it was, it looked like a local family run restaurant that had good service, atmosphere and decent quality of food.

I ordered the Skyline pizza which is their version of a combination pizza. The pizza was tasty but the "Chicago" crust was very thin. Brook, the young lady that took care of us was very pleasant and checked in with us quite a few times. She recommended the pepperoni bread sticks. Which it turned out were very good suggestions.

Based on the reviews we tried the skyline supreme and the thin crust cheese and pepperoni. We did not have a positive experience. The deep dish skyline was comparable to a personal pan pizza at pizza hut with very few toppings. Not worth the $15 we paid. The thin crust had promise until I found a hard piece in the pizza...either a piece of plastic or a bone. On a positive note the staff was friendly even if they didn't know what time they close.

Really good food, really good service, and really good prices. Over all this place is a winner.

At first glance the restaurant looks like a refurbished fast food place but they did a good job making it a cozy family environment. Service was friendly and helpful. We ordered a Chicago style "skyline" which is basically a supreme and it was very tasty. The dough was great and the toppings were fresh. Plenty of cheese too. Pricing was decent as well. There is a drive through if you're in a hurry.*

Not my first time here, but it's definitely gone downhill. Stopped in for the lunch buffet.. Walked in just after Noon, so I assumed the buffet would be ready for some kind of lunch crowd. I was wrong. The salad bar was full, but the lettuce was the shredded type you would put on a sandwich. Not bad, but not what I would expect. Overall the salad bar was nice with a good selection of toppings. The pizza buffet had 4 slices, not pizzas, slices. They also looked like they had been there for a bit. Over the time I ate, there was no more than 2 pizzas out at a time. The fresh pizza was pretty good. The breadsticks are pretty good along with the cheese sauce. That being said, they must be fully cooked to be good. The first batch when I got there was fine. The second batch came out while I was waiting for fresh pizza and still had raw dough in the middle. I explained this to the staff who was pulling another batch out of the oven. At this point you would assume they would remove the older (not cooked) breadsticks. Wrong, they dumped them right on top. So I grab a new one, open it up.. Raw dough again.. Seriously.. I jut told you that they weren't cooked through, and you didn't bother to maybe check the next batch?? Overall I enjoy Chicago's Pizza, but this will probably be my last trip to this location. I can tell by the scarce lunch crowd that others have given up too.. Gave two stars (being generous) because the pizza was good and salad bar was nice, but the breadsticks and lack of selection defeat the purpose of the pizza buffet. Spending half your lunch break waiting on a new pizza is ridiculous. The location could also use a full remodel to look like other locations and not feel so dirty.

This place is a joke. I'm from Chicago and here on business. Their pizza they can Chicago Style is not Chicago deep dish which is like a thin crust pressed into a deep pan and filled like a pie. It's not thick crust... The only pizza like this is found at Pizza Hut. They should loose the name Chicago as it's an insult to our City. Call it Pizza Hut Style Pan Pizza. When I saw the pizza i told the waitress this is not Chicago style. She agreed and said they false advertise. Then I had to ordered sweet tea and it tasted horrible like splenda sugar substitute and again the waitress said yes it is surgar substitute. I just got up and left to eat at the Mexican place next door.

Chicago's pan pizza is best anywhere! It takes a few minutes but it's worth the wait. Their breadsticks are awesome as well. Great service friendly staff I'll be back.

Ate lunch here on a Saturday. Service was good and our food was delivered quickly. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful even though she had to clear tables on top of seating and taking orders. We got a small deep dish pizza that was more food than the two of us could eat. It was not a Chicago style pizza, having nether a flaky layered crust or the correct order of ingredients, but none the less it was a nice lunch alternative to McDonald's.

pizza is okay, but over priced. The buffet is a joke. Service is marginal and it always looks dirty. Go to pizza spudz and sticks across from Value Market and you will get a much better pizza.

Not a big fan of Chicago style (deep dish) pizza, so we tried the "Traditional, Hand-Tossed" crust, built our own and it was fantastic. Great prices, and excellent pizza. Fresh, quality ingredients, great tasting dough, perfect sauce. Highly recommended, and family/kid friendly.

We actually just left this pizza place and we're delighted to find such good food right off of the interstate! Great pizza, friendly waitstaff and very short wait for your food to come out. It's refreshing on long road trips to eat at local venues rather than the same chain fast food places that are everywhere. We will definitely be back when we come back through the area :)

After reading reviews we thought we would try it. New York style pizza it wasn't. Salad bar really wasn't that good either. Not much to choose from. Not a bad place but I've had better.
