Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I ordered the carne asada enchilada with rice and beans. Every Mexican restaurant has its own unique recipe and this is definitely an original. Very cozy atmosphere along with delicious food, I have no complaints!

The best Mexican seafood I have had since I lived in Arizona the ceviche tostada was amazing. The fish tacos ( tacos de filete). Are the real deal The cooks were singing along to the Mexican pop music and everyone there was having their family Sunday meal. The decor is exactly what you might find in Mexico repurposed everything but clean. Go here now

I tried the shrimp tacos and shrimp tostadas and they were both prettu good. I do prefer their tostadas over the shrimp tacos though. The salsa is hotter than most of the other Mexican places I've been to, which I like. The queso comes with jalapeños in it, which I also rather enjoyed. It did take a little bit for the food to come out, so I wouldn't come here if I was going somewhere for a quick meal.

I thought all the excellent reviews had to be exaggerations so we popped in for a try. This place is excellent! When a Mexican restaurant is full of all Hispanic families when you walk in I believe that is a great first sign of authenticity. And it was. Only one table left out of 12 and a bar. The menu is in Espanol for the most part, but there are lots of pics. Expect to have fun and not of much talking because the music is loud. Fun upbeat Latin music, of course. The kids loved it! I loved it!

Wonderful food. Just delicious. Family own and operated. The service is great. The owners are always on site making sure everything is running smoothly. Their seafood is great. I had the camarones chingones. Just delicious and i also had the mariscada. Alot of food for the price you pay. I will recomended to everybody. I would eat in this place everyday if i could.

La Loma in Clarksville it used to be a great place to go with the family it was my favorite place for real Mexican food, unfortunately this place has chance lately the place is not a family restaurant anymore for weekend its more a bar and a alot of drunk people coursing. I go to La Loma specially for the great and delicious ceviche they served which you can make about 4 full tostadas serving when u ask for a medium size plate at $13.99 pretty good price, but now with the same size medium they are giving you a full plate around with cucumbers slices and you barely can make 2 tostadas make you think a full plate with slices of cucumbers is a full plate of ceviche for $13.99 I hope they change the way to handle of alcohol consuming and they serve the same food size they used too...

It takes A LOT for me to give a restaurant a five-star. Especially Mexican restaurants. This one takes the .. um cake? Or maybe the chips 'n salsa? Either way, it is hands down the best restaurant in Louisville for Mexican cuisine. You could probably come to that conclusion before even sitting down! You're now thinking... but... it is in Indiana...that's so...FAR! I know. Please trust me it is worth the trip across the "forbidden bridge". Really, Louisville friends, we've gotta get past this Indiana stigma soon. The menu is HUGE and the TVs are permanently stuck on telenovelas, but if you can move past that, you're golden. As far as food is concerned, I ordered the shrimp tostadas, which were perfection, as long as the shrimp is fresh. Sit back, order a michelada, and enjoy your company... and if that's bad, then get sucked into the telenovelas. Win. Win.

Really wanted to like this place. The best thing we ordered was Mexican coke. My husband got chicken enchiladas beans and rice. His food was very dry especially the chicken. He was very dissappointed and did not eat his food. He is not one to complain so he didnt send it back. He just left it sit. I ordered asada tacos and beans and rice. My food was ok but the corn tortillas were over heated and became hard and chewy. The beans were a bit dry. I did like the rice it was heavy on the garlic but I like that. The food was okay at best.

Delicious! Flavorful, love the salsa, the habanero sauce and the "green" sauce :) . I had the pollo loma and carne asada, both very tasty. Check it out!

Transplanted here from California a few months ago. We found La Loma right as we were starting to despair of ever finding Mexican food on this side of the states. It is amazing. As far as we're concerned this is the only Mexican restauraunt in Clarksville!

We were traveling from Chicago back home to Nashville TN. At this point in the trip you are ready to be home and not really wanting to just waste time, I wanted mexican because it is satisfying and fast. To be honest I picked this place because it looked right off the interstate and a quick jaunt back on... in which the location is very convenient for that. When we walked inside we were confident we made a good choice. My wife and I each ordered burritos. I am vegetarian, and although I did order a bean and cheese burrito and cheese enchilada it is definitely a more meat friendly menu. The chips and salsa and the Cheese Dip were top notch. The real bummer was the 45 minute wait for 2 burritos. I have never waited that long at a mexican restaurant in my life. They also for forgot our water and my Cheese enchilada...as in we never got them. I felt the food was ok but to me the salsa and Cheese Dip were the real winner, I did however feel that the service we had was pretty horrible. If you are traveling with time to kill I would recommend La Loma, but if you are trying to pass through with very little effect on your traveling time I would try someplace else.

Absolutely delicious and authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price. I think I was the only native English speaker there, which should give you some indication of the quality. They have even accommodated me with takeout five minutes before closing. Definitely worth the trip.
