Went here after daughter's graduation at Austin Peay. Busy and crowded but service was adequate and food was hot and prepared and served correctly. Server was friendly and efficient. As opposed to other reviewer, I had no problem getting take-home boxes for leftovers. Food tasted good. Loved the Chicken Fingers (tenders?) that my daughter had, and I'm originally from Buffalo, NY so I have high standards for those! I'd definitely recommend those. I wasn't that hungry so had the potato soup (decent) and 1/2 club (decent). Nice to have a smaller menu offering for us older folks that aren't real hungry. (I just turned 50 so I can be an older folk now, right?) My experience wasn't spectacular nor horrid, it was good and as expected. Prices were standard, as expected. I'd feel confident going there again and would recommend for family gatherings.

VERY slow service!!! Servers are incompetent. Management is nonexistent. I've eaten here with family and had to wait over an hour to eat cold food! Server never checked in with us to refill drinks or advise us of any delays so I must assume that waiting for over an hour to be served is normal. My wife ate here with friends and could not get salads or bread or service then asked for a manager who only gave a lousy 10% off and blamed it on the server instead of taking responsibility. Then he brought a basket of rolls after the meal was over. I will never eat here again.

I have to say that I have enjoyed meals here but one visit left me not wanting to rush back anytime soon. I ordered grill chicken and it came out and it was cold and so the server said they would remake it - several minutes later they brought it out and it was the same ones I had and she said oh they made you a new meal and I look down and see the piece I had cut off she then walked away - didn't ask how it was etc.

I can usually count on Cheddar's. They food is good and they have something to please everyone. A variety of choices. Some of my favorites are the spinach dip, the asian shrimp salad, the Maui margarita, and the cookie monster. Put those together and that is one marvalous meal! Great for groups and for families. It is almost always crowded but I have never waited more than 10 minutes for a table. The staff is friendly and works hard. Two thumbs up!

When in doubt, I always go to Cheddar's. The Philly Cheesesteak is a plateful that makes you look like you don't know how to get it in the shoot, so that's a good choice. The Grilled Chicken and Pecan Salad is basically the size of the whole garden from which it came, so it's good for when you're hungry hungry but want to feel good about eating healthy. And a good alcoholic beverage on occasion isn't always a bad thing. I think it's called the Maui Margarita, but it's a good choice for when you're feeling celebratory. You walk out without a dent in your wallet and you're satisfied with what you got. The atmosphere is comfortable and you see an abundance of families and couples enjoying their evening. Haven't had a bad experience here so I recommend giving it a try on your next evening out on the town.

Not great, but not terrible. This location has been here for a little bit, but the first I have ever been here was this past Monday. I got the Smokehouse burger and fries. It was good, definitely no complaints. It didn't blow my mind or anything, and I've definitely had better burgers. Reasonably priced. I got the burger and a tall beer and it was like $12-13. i would go back.

I do a lot of carry out here for my wife. I'm not crazy about their carry out myself, but really like dining in. Really decent burgers, Phillies, chicken, onion rings, etc and it is surprisingly cheap. I'm not big on salads but they have a Hawaiian salad that is outstanding.

Walked in at 120 pm with three and a child. Asked to sit near tv to watch the World Cup. The host said, ok I'll need to bus a table if you want to wait." We said we'd wait. 5 minutes later the table wasn't bussed and we were still waiting. We asked what was up. She, one of the 6 people at the host stand, says "I asked someone to do it.!" She then walked around looking for a busser. There were 5 glasses! Why couldn't she do it?! After another minute we told them we were leaving. The hostess says, "never mind, don't clean it, they're leaving." I'm embarrassed for the management.

Never disappointed with Cheddars! Large portions, great food, great service! We ordered the chicken fingers; it was plenty to share for two! The broccoli cheese casserole as a side was great. The spinach dip is my favorite from any restaurant. My only complaint about Cheddars is that there arent more around! Would love a Cheddars near us in Michigan!

The Sexy Beast has long been a fan of this place for their lunch menu. It's inexpensive and includes a potato soup. So, I've allowed him to convince me to subject my palate to the underwhelming fare offered here a few times. We won't be doing that again. Here's why: We arrived between lunch and dinner (around 3pm) and were promptly seated by a surly hostess. We sat there staring at the bare table for a good fifteen minutes before our waiter (who may or may not have been Vanilla Ice) wandered over to get our drink order. Meanwhile, an elderly couple is seated at the table next to us. They are talking quietly together, discussing the menu. Another ten minutes later, Vanilla Ice returns with our carbonated beverages. He takes our order and scampers off. The couple next to us have arrived at a decision at this point and Sexy Beast and I both notice that they have no drinks, nor is anyone paying any attention to them. Some young man appears with our potato skins. They are cold. And tasteless. And I want to send them back. My glass becomes empty. Sexy Beast starts to fidget. I snag a fluttering young woman and ask for a refill and a status update. She assures me that she will "let him know". I assume she is referring to Vanilla Ice but I can't be sure. This is the bible belt and she may very well be heading to the alter to offer up a prayer for the speedy dispatching of my club sandwich. She took the cold potato skins with her to the alter. We wait. And wait. The elderly couple next to us begin getting more and more anxious, fussing and flustered with the complete absence of service. The fluttering girl attempts an evasive maneuver but I catch her. I start to explain that a club sandwich is supposed to be in my belly by now but I can't. Sexy Beast has lost all patience and has started ranting about the fact that the elderly couple next to us will be carried out on a funeral pyre if someone doesn't get them some sustenance soon. Fluttering Girl scampers off and a man who must be the manager of this ridiculously poorly managed menagerie appears to appease the angry Beast and the sweet old couple. Meanwhile, Vanilla Ice has returned from his tour in Bangladesh and appears at my side. I explained that he had exactly three minutes to produce a club sandwich before I'd be on my way out the door. Fluttering Girl ends up with the daunting task of serving the two most patient restaurant patrons I have ever seen. Gramps and Gramma looked like they might actually weep with joy at the prospect of gnawing on an unsalted saltine. And after all of that, finally, I get what they tried to pass off as a sandwich. It was not at all worth the effort. At no time, did anyone apologize for the wait or the cold skins or the fact that we had to witness the slow starvation of a pair of septuagenarians. No. We will not be back.

Cheddars is one of those places that is always packed during the dinner hour, leading me to think that they must be serving something amazing, but they aren't. I've been several times and the food is always disappointing. The first time I went I had to send back the chicken tortilla soup because it had undercooked crunchy onions in it. I left most of the food on the plate because it was so unappetizing. Eh, I have no idea where to start here. I was highly disappointed with this place tonight. I have eaten at Cheddar's before but never this one. It took almost 2 hours for us to get our food tonight and they were not slammed packed. I mean come on, Its Monday for crying out loud. If it were the weekend and had lines coming out of the doors, sure I would understand. After my father in law complained to the manager we finally got our meals. My Chicken Pecan Salad was delicious. One person didn't like their dish. The server barely came to us asking if we needed anything. The manager came out and apologized and said it was his fault for over working the server. Blah Blah Blah. I've heard it all before. I am assuming that he had been in there flirting with the girl and who else he could flirt with instead of waiting on us like he should have been. We had outside seating. If they are going to have an outside area they need different servers than the one's inside instead of the servers having to wait tables inside and outside. Its just a stupid set up. After it was all over the manager cut the bill in half which he should have done to make things right. We were there for a birthday party. There were 6 of us and 1 baby so the bill was pretty good to be cut in half then we got free desert. Great right? It was yummy. Or so I thought. I ordered the cake and had the ice cream while there and a couple of bites of cake. I brought the rest of the cake home to eat later. Which I did take a few bites later tonight. Guess what. I bit into it and there was something crunchy in my cake. Cakes aren't crunchy. You guessed it! It was an eggshell. I mean really! We get sloppy service, then the manager tries to make it right and then I find a damn eggshell in my cake. I will never come back here. They have lost my service forever and I recommend no one else goes here either.

Reading the other reviews, Cheddar's appears to be one of the most polarizing restaurants in the area. As it was with my lunch group. My club sandwich was a little oily, the fries were good and you got a sizable portion for a decent price. Service was decent. TVs are in most of the rooms, so if you want to be distracted from talking to those you've chosen to dine with, there's your out. I'm not a fan. I will not be coming back anytime soon; not because it is bad, but because there are so many better spots.

I happen to love Cheddar's. I hadn't been in quite sometime and my family and I were looking for a cheapish dine in place last night and passed this place and stopped in. Their meals are very generous in size, fresh tasting and is very easy on your wallet. I have been to at least 3 different locations and they've all been consistent with each other. Our waitress last night seemed shy, but she was attentive and checked on us often.

Cheddar's has some pretty good menu options, but the service is always hit and miss. Sometimes you won't see your waiter at all and sometimes they will talk you to death...I've never had a happy medium. But I keep going back, so I guess I really do like the food... As far as appetizers, the onions rings at Cheddar's are really stellar. The breading is light and they come with a ranch and zesty dipping sauce. The portion is HUGE. I also enjoy the chips and queso. The salsa is sweet and chunky and the queso is creamy with flecks of red and green pepper. I usually get the chicken tenders basket. They have some of the best chicken tenders I've ever had. Really tender and the breading is very tasty. I also like the lunch potion of catfish. I've also had the soup and salad lunch special with the potato soup. The potato soup is tasty--creamy and cheesy--comparable to O'Charley's. Cheddar's is a favorite standby if we are getting ready to head home from a day of shopping on the Clarksville strip with the last stop being Walmart or Target. It's a good stop right before getting on the interstate to head home.
