Super mediocre? If you're visiting Cicero, this is probably something that will stick out to you...it has a good view of the lake...I guess. It can be a novel experience, since their seating is outdoors. The food...nah?? Everyone raves about the ice cream here, but it's just Velvet ice cream that you can buy in any grocery store. Velvet ice cream isn't even good...sorry to say. Novel experience? Maybe. Somewhere people in Cicero actually frequent? For some reason, yes...I want to love it, too, but it just doesn't hit the ticket.

So cheap!! I ordered a medium peanut butter fudge sundae and it was only $2.91! So for a girl on a budget, it was music to my ears. Having grown up in Noblesville I've always been a fan of Alexander's, and now I frequent this one because of it's ideal location during nice weather. Although now that they are doing construction on the bridge nearby the view isn't quite as nice, but it's still a tradition that I love.

Now I've been to the Alexander's On The Square in Noblesville, but never before have I ventured to the one in Cicero. I'm sure glad I did. I had a hankerin for some cold goodness, but when I got there the wind had picked up and winter decided to rear its ugster head again. I was shivering as I ordered a Reese's Cup Sundae. Totally worth it! Chocolate sauce and Reese's Cup crumbled in a smooth blanket of vanilla soft serve. A great snack before dinner (not!). I couldn't even finish it I was so full. One thing I will say is the sizes are bigger than you would think. I ordered a small and didn't finish it and I never leave food on the plate! Especially when it's as good as this was. There is plenty of outdoor seating (I ate mine inside the vehicle) and the parking is ok with a few spots up against the building. I was surprised they were open for the season, but so glad they were able to quench my dairy craving!

Alexander's doesn't look like much but it's a nice place to stop and get an ice cream. It has a good location where you can sit out and view the lake. The small cup is more than enough ice cream so the price is reasonable. On word of caution, there are no public restrooms. Overall a nice little stop when our in the area.

If you are not down town Noblesville and are in need of a Ice Cream fix's this is your place! Great Ice Cream is what they do the best, but they also have some real food items also. The best part is you can sit outside at one of the tables eat your Ice Cream and look at the lake! What is better then that on a summer night? Alexander's on the water is a stand so you have to sit out side or eat as you drive away, my pick is outside! Remember to eat well and live well! And please no chains!
