Wow (in a negative way) is all I can use to describe this experience. Called ahead for seating an hour before and told we were on the list. Got there and told we would have a 10 minute for our table...no big deal. We waited for an hour. Anytime we asked how much longer the hostess kept saying we were next (literally nobody else sitting waiting with us) other kept walking in and were getting seated right away and appeared to be friends with servers who would come up and greet them and seat them. Finally got seated in the basement. The ambiance was really cool...I really enjoyed that and am really disappointed in our experience because I would have loved to go back. One server took our drink order and then another took our food order after waiting about 15 minutes. Appetizer came out within about 10 minutes. Spinach dip was really good. I liked the piano player but he appeared intoxicated as he sat at the bar the entire time and I saw him come out of the bathroom where he asked if I'd been drinking and then offered he had too much to drink. He played the same 3 songs over and over. So it's a nice concept maybe if he was sober and had more variety. We seriously waited over an hour for our dinner. It was hot and actually quite good but at that point it was 9:40pm and we had been there since 7:30 hungry and ready to eat. The server offered no apologies for the food taking so long and in fact never even came to our table while we were waiting. At the end of the meal the manager (a female) came up to see how our meal was. We explained about the wait for seating and food. She said she couldn't do anything about the wait for seating and that even if you call ahead you can still have an hour wait. Which is not the case at most places. She then stated that the kitchen is too small for the size of restaurant and that they were very busy and was sorry for the delay in food but that's what it was. She was actually quite rude about it and seemed very offended. We were very friendly when reporting what happened. She had, afterall, asked how our night was so we told her! She continued to make excuses and even accused us of lying about our wait time. We said we probably wouldn't come back and she just said that she was sorry to hear that and offered no reason for us to come back. When I left I went to the bathroom near the kitchen and looked in the kitchen. It is actually quite large and there was plenty of staff in there. It's clear why this was so bad...the service. When a manager is making rude remarks and making lame excuses this is going to carry over to the subordinate staff. I really hated to write this review b/c I had heard the food was great but that the wait for food was long. I was hoping that it was b/c those friends went when it opened but it seems like this a theme. I think the staff needs a major overhaul and some more skill on handling large crowds. It's the restaurant biz. You WANT it to be busy but fast so you can have quick turnover and make more tips. Don't make excuses just apologize and fix it for the next customer!

I've eaten the chef's creations at two different venues now and both times have had excellent experiences. This most recent venture is tucked in a surprisingly hip setting in Cicero Indiana. He has a strong menu with familiar and well executed dishes, the horseradish crusted walleye is well worth the trip itself. Take the time drive up with friends and check out this great new addition to the northside food scene.

Such great food! Great atmosphere! Great price point!! Awesome drinks! (Long Island is my fav) Friendly servers!

This is an outstanding atmosphere and a gorgeous format that I am thrilled to have access to here in Cicero. As a resident, I'm proud to support the local art and the fun speak easy bar in the basement as well as a great dining experience. Being the second time I've dined here, I arrived shortly afternoon opening so the wait was not 1-2 hours. Even with call ahead seating, I knew better, so if you go arrive between 4:30-5 for the best experience. The appetizers and bread were fab. The signature horseradish tomato soup is to die for. Last time we dined I played it safe with the filet, super awesome quality cut of meat made to perfection. The side of creamed corn was pretty good as well. This time I had the 10 west pasta and added shrimp. Nothing to write home about, a little blah, I needed to add salt and pepper but it wasn't bad. My husband gave a good not great review for the ribs. Mother in law says the pork tenderloin medallions were quite good. I really like this place but unfortunately it just can't keep up with the demand so meals are slow to arrive to the table, even being one of the first tables seated we were here over 1 1/2 hours and weren't lounging. I just don't feel its worth coming at my preferred time for dinner around 7ish since I know it isn't quite worth that wait. Hopefully it will continue to evolve to fill that much needed hole here in Cicero.

Love this place. Great food, great atmosphere. Perfect for a couples night out. Fish tacos are very tasty and even the cole slaw and desserts are homemade. So many different options on their menu. Worth the trip to Cicero.

This spot has been struggling for years to find a permanent eating establishment. With 10 West I think the search is over. The layout, lighting, and decor are awesome, make sure you check out the bar downstairs. The service is awesome! We had a young good looking waiter name Max, what a stud. He was helpful in figuring out what we wanted to eat. I had the steak cooked to perfection along with tasty creamed corn, yes it was actually good. Normally cream corn sucks to me. The starter salads are fresh and full of flavor. About the only negative here is the beer selection sucks, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. If you live in Cicero do yourself a favor and move, but first try 10 West.
(4)B H.
Called ahead for party of 4. (They don't take reservations for parties smaller than 8) Got there a little early and had a drink in their downstairs bar. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Seated at promised time, ordered salmon and horseradish soup. Unbelievable! We will be back! Recommend you call ahead, but get there early to spend a little time downstairs.

My husband an I ate here tonight. Loved the food. Staff was very friendly. Waitress was a very good server we didn't have to ask for refills or bill she was very prompt. I ordered sirloin cooked perfect very tender great flavor. Great prices for the portion size. Will be returning. My only complaint would be upon arrival we weren't offered basement seating & after seeing pictures online & the reviews on here would have liked to sit down there we were on our anniversary dinner. This was our first visit & didn't know there was basement seating, maybe next time.
(5)Food E.
Love love love! Local, fresh market, using the resources around, fantastic!! Great service, great food! Only suggestion is to add a few more vegetarian options.
(5)John S.
Had the all you can eat catfish tonight and it was AMAZING! Never been so excited to go back and eat somewhere. The manager Lisa was a total sweetheart and our server was on top of everything! The best service and cannot wait to try the rest of the menu
(5)Krisann W.
Skip this until the owner gets a clue and takes reservations. We've tried this three different days of the week/time and there is ALWAYS an hour plus wait for a table. Too many other great restaurants in and around Noblesville to deal with this mess.
(1)Cathy S.
So disappointed! We have raved about this restaurant to our out of town family. We brought them for dinner tonight. My sister ordered the filet and was served a sirloin. When she questioned our waiter he argued with her that she ordered the sirloin!! In his defense he offered to take it back after arguing with her and she chose to keep it since the rest of the table had their food. The manager then stopped and ask how how dinner was. We tried to politely explain that she should talk to her wait staff about arguing with the customer and her response back that it is a natural instinct to say that to the customer if he wrote down the wrong thing. Seriously?!?!? She totally didn't get it. She wanted to defend her waiter instead of apologizing for not meeting our expectations. We weren't trying to get a free meal. We paid for our food and left an appropriate tip.We just wanted them to talk with the waiter. All that said the food was great. Our compliments to the chef

I wanted to like this place. It was screaming "please like us Ryan... please" but it just did not happen. The only thing screaming that was the ambiance. Let me break down our visit: We called ahead and were told when we arrived that it would be about 10-15 min. That's fine... I understand how call ahead works. We ended up waiting an hour. That was after checking with the host stand at about a 1/2 hour and 45 min. At the hour mark the hostess said she could seat us but there will be a wait on service because the kitchen is behind. I said "Well you just sat a table that just walked in the door why are we will waiting?" She stated "The people that walked in are friends of the owners so they get first available seats." Wow... Guess my money is no good here. OK... by this time I just want to sit in a seat and not by the cold front door. We were sat in the basement, which is really cool and cozy. They had a piano player, also a nice touch (later in the evening he admitted to one of the ladies in our party that he had way too much to drink). Our server came over and greeted us and took our drink order. A second server came back about 10 min later with our drinks. The second server is one the one that took care of us the rest of the meal. She did not seem happy, we felt like we were outcasts and that they didn't want us there. The hostess was right on the wait. Our appetizer came out in about 20 min. Our food 45 min later (we ordered them at the same time). At the end of the meal I asked to speak to the manager. She came over and was not very nice at all. She made excuse after excuse and never said she was sorry. Excuses were: "I'm sorry we cannot control call ahead waiting" and "I doubt my hostess told you that about the friends of the owners" BASICALLY CALLED ME A LIAR and my favorite "I'm sorry we have a really small kitchen so food takes a reall long time". Cool... Thanks for giving me 3 good reasons to never come back.

I had dinner here last night and i have to say i was impressed. A great atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food! Prices are right too! Not real quiet, so maybe not your romantic date night place, but no matter! Go to Cicero and enjoy...
(5)Juli M.
What a great restaurant! We loved it all, food, drink, atmosphere. Even the pricing was reasonable considering the quality and preparation of the food. We'll definitely go back! It's a popular place and they don't take reservations, which I think they should change, so I would suggest going on a weeknight or off prime time.
(5)Restuarant B.
Been here twice now. Sat in the basement lounge first then upstairs. I would recommend the basement lounge. It is much quieter and has a much better atmosphere. First time I had a Cuban sandwich that was great. Second time I had a filet, also great. They have really good appetizers too. Great pretzel sticks fresh from the oven. Great place. Nice local vibe and good quality food.
(5)Sam R.
Definitely the fanciest dining in Cicero...several years ago, I wouldn't have thought it possible that we would have a restaurant of this quality here. When you walk through the doors, you are transported somewhere else...from smalltown Indiana to a trendy downtown neighborhood. The food here is nothing less than GREAT! I regrettably haven't been here very often (it's fairly pricy, especially for Cicero) but each time that I have the food has been top notch. The appetizers are super yummy. I suggest the fried cheese raviolis and the pretzel breadsticks. Entrees that I suggest: Spaghetti with meatballs...sooo good. The sauce has red pepper flakes and is much better flavored than a lot of spaghetti that you can get around here. Burgers...all top quality. Plum pork tacos...MM! Steak...I'm not huge on steak, but my dad says that the (fairly cheap for the quality) options here are exquisite and on par with super splurge-y places. So, worth the stop if you're looking for a nice dinner while in town.

Every experience has been wonderful. Call ahead seating is an absolute must during any evening. Hostesses are attentive and friendly. Service is prompt, yet appropriately timed. I cannot get enough of the tuna appetizer. Thin slices of sesame crusted tuna sitting over crispy grain wafers; tangy and sweet sauce, but give it some wasabi for a kick. The cedar plank salmon is perfectly cooked, paired nicely with sweet creamed corn like I've never had! It's a custard consistency with large kernels that lend great texture. It's soon to be a favorite. My husband gets filet or steaks, which are melt-in-your-mouth juicy. Oh let's back up, how could I forget the bread!? This bread is cut in slices and fanned out, then coated in melted garlic butter, served with more butter. It's perfect just the way it is. Overall, a top notch restaurant in the heart of the sweet little town of Cicero, Indiana. The atmosphere is that of upscale restaurant with the benefit of being so close to home. I look forward to dining for many years to come, thank you!
(5)Sue M.
First time there! Tomato horseradish soup..good salad and black and bleu steak..we will go back and try the appetizers next time...
(5)Jessica S.
My husband and I made our first trip to 10 West on a Friday night, as we're getting ready to move to Arcadia and have already heard good things about this restaurant. We arrived a little at 8 pm and were able to get a seat right away at a tall table in the bar. Michael took great care of us. The bread was wonderful with melted garlic butter. Bacon wrapped shrimp had a sweet glaze that was outstanding, they managed to keep the bacon a little crispy but did not over cook the shrimp. I had the fish tacos ... the fish was nicely cooked and seasoned, but I would have liked more of a true pico de gallo rather than the handful of chopped tomatoes and green onions thrown on top. His black and bleu steak was outstanding. We are thrilled to have a great dinner spot so near our new home and will definitely be going back.
(4)Kevin M.
Wow!!! 10 West should be renamed 10 Best. This restaurant has a very fun atmosphere and a terrific menu. We loved the tomato horseradish soup with cheese crostini Try to get a booth in the cellar where there is a very cozy setting. We are looking forward to coming back.
(5)Kendra R.
When you go here, it's hard to believe you are actually in Cicero Indiana. Very cool decor and ambiance. Food is really good as well. Of course you have to try the tomato soup. I didn't LOVE it like other people do, but it's good. I ordered the steak and was happy. I went down the list of martinis and was pleased with that as well. I wasn't blown away, but I have only been once and would like to try again!
(4)Terri L.
I was surely impressed with our meal as well as the prices. We had never been here before and wasn't sure what to expect. The only thing that appeared to be off was the empty glasses. Our server otherwise did an awesome job. The young men who constantly clear the table of messy dishes were great as well.
(4)Marlene R.
Sometimes a wait for seating. The food is very good. Had the fish tacos last night and enjoyed them very much. They were delightfully flavorful with a spicy touch The steaks on Wednesday "steak special" night are always good. Great to have a nice reasonably priced restaurant with some good food and entertainment! They serve good bar drinks too!
(4)Mark C.
We love it here! Would much rather wait a few minutes here and pay a little more than other local establishments. The food has always been good and comes out promptly. The service has been nothing shy of great, and the atmosphere is a great balance between upscale restaurant/bar and afternoon lunch spot. We will continue to come back!
(5)Mitchell T.
We sat at the bar in the basement. The ambiance was comfortable and relaxing. I ordered pork tacos and the sesame tuna. Both were delicious. I live in Chicago and would have paid 2-3 times as much for this quality of food. Will defiantly go back when I come to visits my folks.
(5)Tammy G.
It's great all-around. We've been a couple of times, and I can't think of a thing I would change. Service is solid and food is consistently good. So far, my usual list of "things I won't order again when we come back" is blank for this place. I hope it keeps up the good work, and doesn't get too crowded because it's earning a spot on my regular rotation.
(4)Dana C.
This has become one of my family's favorite spots since it opened. I never would have thought that there'd be a local, lovely steakhouse in Cicero, and I was ridiculously impressed. Albeit, I didn't have the highest expectations for the place before going there, but I thought that it was a sweet little spot. I liked the feeling of the place. I reminded me of BJ's, if you've ever been there. It was like, a cross between a tavern and a restaurant, but it also had some nice natural lighting. I ordered the Filet Mignon with the sweet potato fries. It came with a salad, which I thought had a lil too much cheese on it. The veggies made me happy regardless though. The steak was cooked perfectly to my liking, and the 6oz was a great serving size. I don't eat a lot of red meat, but I figured when in Rome... the fries were really tasty as well. But I rarely meet fries that I don't like. It's really good to call ahead and reserve, I heard that the place can fill up quickly! I would definitely recommend snagging some steak or pork chops at this spot though!
(4)Ann Marie A.
Love eating at 10 West. Food is terrific. Service and atmosphere are very warm and friendly. I will go again and again. Whether you are eating a burger or a steak, it is always excellent.
(5)Mike W.
This place is always a sure bet. It's the best steak on the far north side of Indy. The meat and produce always seem to be ultra tasty and fresh. Quality of the raw goods matter and they get it. The chef is a local celebrity for his craft, you won't be disappointed. Stick with the steak for your best bet but the specials are always incredible too. My wife is a vegetarian and likes the list of veggie sides, it works for her. Can be a wait on the weekend, that's a good thing. 5 stars from this meat eater!
(5)J. M.
I've had dinner here a few times and each experience was fantastic! I've never had a bad meal here but my favorite dish by far was the chicken milanese, As far as appetizers go you can't go wrong with the stuffed mushrooms or bacon wrapped shrimp. The deserts are just as amazing as well. The peanut butter pie is so creamy, rich, and delicious. The service was top notch and fast. Even when the place was packed our food came out quickly. The wait for a seat can be a bit long if come during peak hours on the weekend so you might want to call ahead.
(5)Amy D.
The food was great, the bartender was great! The interior design is pretty! Unfortunately, every time we have been there, the servers have been pretty pushy to turn their table, but it is a small place so it's kind of understandable. Definitely going again and again! We needed a place like this!!!
(4)Lyndsay L.
This restaurant is amazing !! The food was wonderful from hamburgers to bacon wrapped pork! The wine was fabulous! The atmosphere was very nice for our date night! My husband wants to go every weekend! Love it! Will definitely be back very soon!
(5)jason h.
I have ate there 10 times....its awesome! Remember you can nit pick any restaurant, but i haven't had one legit complaint yet and i eat out 7 days a week..seriously!!! (Jason Hunt)
(5)Patrick B.
Tried thus place last night. Ate in basement which is 21 and over. Basement was very nice and enjoyed the atmosphere and the company of the other couple we were with. Everything we ate was wonderful except one thing. The wonderful / pretzel appetizer and the crab stuffed mushroom appetizer. Salads and tomato horseradish soup was excellent. Table had black and blue steak tips, gumbo and soup and grilled cheese - was excellent. Whipped potatoes and cream corn was delicious. The bread which was served was excellent. The UGLY - wife got the chicken and noodles. She asked if it was all white meat which the waitress said it was. Well the homemade noodles and gravy was delicious. It had chunks of chicken in it. It was the most disgusting looking chicken I have ever seen on a plate in restaurant. Anywhere for that matter. It was 30 % white meat with the remains being not fit for a dog. Chucks of fat, cartilage, dark meat and a bone. Whoever cleaned the chicken needs to be fired . How to ruin a beautiful meal was definitely accomplished by this fool. I would really give 5 stars except for this. We are not the type to complain at a waitress or waiter. It was $50 for wife and I and really believe that the waitress should have picked up on the gross factor and denied it from the kitchen. Owner - if you read this - it was 4/12/2014 t approximately 6 pm seating. I am sure you know better - but your staff does not. Teach them. We will be back but will never order chicken and noodles again. Gotten nicer chicken off a taco cart in Mexico City.
(3)Scott L.
One of the best restaurants in the area and well worth the trip to Cicero. Great staff and fantastic food at very reasonable prices.
(5)Devona B.
Visited 10 West around 530pm on a Friday. The crowd had not yet gathered..but 45 min later it was very busy. The food was so delicious. It was brought after an appropriate amount of time and the waitress was attentive. The decor was nice..the basement is especially cozy! I ordered peanut chicken tacos, my cousin ordered the fish tacos..both were excellent-! Great mix of flavors! My other cousin ordered the blue burger..she ordered extra cheese and it was very potent..good quality cheese! Finally the salted almond hot fudge sundae closed the deal..mmmmmm! I work in Cicero..and will definitely visit again!
(5)Jim P.
Since January, our family & friends have eaten here several times. Be sure to call ahead for seating and go early, or expect to wait. Wednesday's special, Filet Mignon & sweet potato fries were excellent and would recommend. The waitress recommended, we tried the Tomato Horseradish soup.... Was outstanding! Others tried the Beef Tips and Cedar Plank salmon.. Both were perfect! On the weekends, the basement seating has entertainment. Am proud to support a local establishment!
(5)Mark H.
First visit was an exceptional experience - second a disaster. Respectful but disorganized and disrespectful of our time. Twenty minute wait turned into 50. Seems that two paying customers are much better than leaving a four top vacant hoping another group of four shows up.
(1)Ron R.
I was extremely impressed with the quality of the food. I would put the steak that I had on an even level with any high end steakhouse. The waiter did a great job and was very attentive. The best thing was that this is in Cicero. Usually you have to go to downtown Indy for this type of dining experience. I would recommend this place to anyone. Great experience that won't break the bank.
(5)Sarah W.
Went last night to 10 West. I was a little iffy about trying, but so glad we did. We called ahead and were able to get in in 30 minutes. No wait when we arrived, we were seated right away. The interior is really nicely done - I love the look and the feel of the place. Our service was great- helpful, brought us a sample of the soup to try (Tomato Horseradish....DELICIOUS). Super attentive. We sat in the bar area so not only was our waitress on top of things but the bartender would come out and do as well! We had a hard time choosing what to have from the menu as there were so many things that sounded delicious! We started with the sesame tuna appetizer. Thinly sliced seared tuna on sesame crackers with delicious wasabi cream and some ginger sauce(?). Love this, The flavors were amazing. For our meal we both had flatbread pizzas. The Caribbean and the 10 West. Having just come back from Jamaica the jerk part of the Caribbean sounded wonderful, and while I wouldn't really say it tasted like jerk, the combination of the flavors were pretty good. (It actually tastes even better cold the next morning). The 10West was good as well, garlic, balsamic, mushrooms, and bacon..mmm We finished with Carrot Cake. Totally decadent, rich, everything carrot cake should be with delicious cream cheese frosting. Looking forward to going back and trying the other items on the menu!
(5)Rob F.
10 West is a great-looking place with lots of character and ambience. I felt the prices were just a little ambitious for a small town place. The food was average, french fries were almost inedible. Creamed corn was interesting and tasty. I would have rated it higher but the problem is: I hadn't read the generally horrific reviews of this resyaurant before going and now, after reading some of the completely ridiculous stories, I really don't think I'll take a chance at going back. It's a bit of a drive from my home on the north side of Indy and I really don't want to have the manager freak out on me or have a call-ahead reservation denied or any of the other rank amateur gaffs described in so many reviews. I can pretty much guarantee that, despite the fact you're probably doing alright at the moment, these managerial shortcomings will surely bring about the restaurant's demise. It's a shame 'cause it has potential. For every customer that takes the time to actually write a review, I can assure you thata there are 50 more that are just as displeased and making sure your reputation is destroyed. If even 1/2 of the stories shared in the negative reviews are true, you have a real mess on your hands. When you hang out the "Under New Management" banner, I'll stop in again.
(3)Amy W.
Hmmm.... let's see, upon arriving we were pleasantly surprised by the decor and were really looking forward to a wonderful meal and possibly finding a new place to go that is local and not a chain. Then it went downhill. My son has celiac disease so the first thing we ask the waiter is if the meal my son is requesting is gluten free. He goes and checks with the chef and is told it is. Salads come out and his has croutons on it, so we send it back. Next, entrees... My husband and my mashed potatoes and corn are cold, we request new. Some time later (after I have finished my steak) a new plate of potatoes come out, COLD. I call the waiter over, put my finger in them and inform him they are cold and ask him to check himself, he sticks his finger in them and he agrees they are cold. A short time later my potatoes come back, obviously microwaved, with the same finger indentations in them. MY WAITER"S FINGER!!! Seriously? Second conversation with the manager, she realizes we are not happy. Really? They take $5 off my meal for the inconvenience, gee thanks. Get home, guess who's in the bathroom with an upset stomach? Call the restaurant and talk to the manager, gee guess what? there is flour in the corn that they served my son. Really? What do they think gluten is? I'm seriously happy that it is celiac and not a food allergy. Can you imagine a guest going into anaphylaxis shock in the middle of your restaurant? Not that my son eating gluten is any less dangerous to his system but at least he wont die within minutes of eating it. Needless to say, we are not going back!!! Oh, and we never did get our corn...

I believe I have a new favorite restaurant. The atmosphere, staff and food were awesome. I had dinner with 5 of my friends and everyone totally enjoyed.
(5)Briana C.
Excellent service, good food. and pleasant atmosphere! We had the shrimp bacon appetizer which the family said was excellent. It had nice sauce. The Greek goddess salad dressing was wonderful and creamy on the salad. We were brought sour dough bread which was quickly gobbled up! All the portions seemed good size for the price. The kids meals were appropriately sized...kids said the cheeseburgers tasted like the ones we make at home which is a compliment because that is a staple in the summer. Another child had the all you can eat catfish and had plenty on the first plate! The 10 west pasta was delicious and you could tell the vegetables were fresh. The only negative was sitting close to the front on a cold day as every time the door opened it got breezy! So if you are cold sensitive be sure to ask for a table near the back. They were busy and service and good was excellent! We didn't have a reservation and we were seated within 5 minutes. We will be going back as it is hard to find a non chain restaurant that the entire family enjoys!

Have been there 4-5 x. Food is very good to excellent as are the servers and drinks..so why 1 star. The front end manager has not got the skills necessary to her position. After raving about the place (even though one request for cellar seating was accepted on call upon arrival-not available) oh well we dealt with it. Next time a group of 8-9 requested celler for a special birthday for a friend. Request made onTuesday for Saturday and accepted "reservation". Saturday at 1:30 p.m. organizer received a call stating we either had to change time or be seated upstairs (not much atmosphere). So my husband called and discussed this decision as not being very businesslike with Lisa Brown. She hung up on him. We did get seated in the cellar. As we were leaving the chef and part owner came to our table and stalked us until my husband was finished with a conversation with a friend. He then berated him for the call, upsetting his girlfriend and she had "many things going on lately"...he refused to listen to our version of the phone conversation, walked us up the stairs berating us in front of others and to the door. Needless to say we will not go back. There are many places with great food, good servers and great drinks. We do not need to spend our money, the same as whomever was going to replace our table in the cellar, to be treated by owners, front end management and chefs this way. RUDE IS A MILD WORD FOR OUR TREATMENT. P.S. Upon being seated in the cellar, we requested to see Lisa to thank her for honoring our reservation. She refused to come to our table and "had been crying all day." I listened to entire phone conversation and my husband was not one bit disrespectful to her, caustic and unkind. He simply stated that that was no way to run a business. (He being a retired business owner himself)
