This review is a bit of a glowing follow up from a previous disaster review from another nearby location. I visited this Michigan Road location a few days ago and am still impressed with how good the service and food was! I stopped in just a little after 5 PM on a Wednesday, and the entire staff was exceptionally friendly to me - and I noticed this excellent service was the norm for the tables around me in the bar area. I ordered the Banzai burger / fries and both were excellent! Service was outstanding as well. Getting low of fries? Fresh and hot fries coming up! Drink needing refilled - didn't even need to ask. Overall just plain excellent. I have to be honest, I tend to avoid the Fort Wayne location simply due to location in a frantic mall, but my visits there have been good as well - I just don't go out of my way to visit there. I think I'll make an exception for this location and go out of my way when in Indy with ample close up parking and excellent service.

I had an amazing experience at this specific location, truly impressed. This type of chain especially Red Robin is normally a 2-3 star for me at best, but the manager and the chicken salad award this location 4 stars. I wouldn't mind coming here one night with the family, they've also got Gluten Free Buns for an additional $1 for all their burgers. Cheers!

Dirty and poor service. Patio was a mess of flies and dirty dishes. Waited 10+ minutes and we were not greeted or seated. Even the balloons for the kids were old and half deflated. Many angry customer leaving their seats and headed to the exit. We cut our losses and left. Disappointing.

While I can't say it's likely that I'd visit a Red Robin on my own volition, it's become a tradition that when I visit family in Indiana, they pick me up at the airport and bring me directly to this particular restaurant for nosh before the long drive to Kokomo. Every time we've been, the service has been fast and friendly, and the food tasty. They offer endless fries with their sandwiches. My dad always insists on getting the stack of onion rings as an appetizer, and even though I try to order non-fried goods, I always end up feeling like I've met my deep fried quota for the year. However, the food makes my dad happy, and in return, I'm happy too.

Terribly sloooow service for a Tuesday night especially considering there weren't many people there. After waiting 45 minutes for hamburgers and sandwiches, half were wrong. The service was friendly, just slow. If you want to be at a place that has crappy ridiculously overpriced food, and you don't mind all the noise, go here. Instead, find a local burger joint serving fresh food at a better price. This was my first and last time at a Reeeed Rooooobin... Gross.

We have been to this Red Robin on Michigan Rd. many, many times over the last 5 or 6 years. We (family of 4) have had good food and not so good food here. Service in the dining room is usually good. Sometimes my husband and I have gone in without the kids and dined in the bar where the service is not as good. We stopped going for the last several months because I was just getting tired of the food and nothing was that great on the menu anyway. We decided to eat there tonight because we had a birthday coupon they emailed me for a free burger. The waitress did not know how to work the coupon. She did tell me what we had to order to use the coupon. We ordered one of the sandwiches she said to. The first Sprite was good, the refill was terrible. She said they were out of Sprite so she substituted lemonade. That was fine, but why would they run out of Sprite? The onion rings were great as always. The rest of the food was just okay. Using the coupon was a huge pain. I know they are really picky about these coupons from past experience, but tonight was just too much. The waitress couldn't figure it out, even though she said she knew how to do it. The manager ended up coming over. She wanted to know what the bday person ate. She did not want to credit us for the sandwich because the wrong person at the table actually ate it. So she credited a kids meal instead (1/2 the price). After I voiced my frustration to the waitress the manager came back and ended up crediting us for the sandwich....because, as I said before, we were told that was what we had to order for the coupon to work! If it is going to be such a hassle to use the coupon, please do not send it out! Sure, it did get us to come in tonight, but now we are never going back. And our family time is too precious to not enjoy our Friday evening out after a long and busy week. There are 2 new restaurants across the street from Red Robin which we had not yet ventured into. Now we have a reason to. Oh, and there is no WiFi! Tonight we were hoping to look online on our iPad to work on our family vacation so couldn't do that. Also, sometimes my children need to work on their homework while we wait for our food, etc. That requires the use of WiFi also.

We went to this place for the last time yesterday. Ate in the bar area. Our server, Kym, could not have cared less. Was rude when asked about one menu item, very irritated. We have never had the same server here. Must be hard to keep people for some reason...management? My hamburger was wet...it had obviously been frozen and not cooked long enough. little condiments on it and rather cool to touch. We are finished here.

The food was average but the most appalling part of my visit was the staff who lied when I called to see if I left my wallet there. I called first and they told me it wasn't there, so I tore my house apart. I finally returned to the restaurant and while two staff members stood there lying to me and not even checking to see if it had been turned in, a third staff member overheard the conversation and stepped in. My wallet was there and had been turned in.

Red Robin...Yummmmm, BUT our waiter dropped the ball. How was is performance was lacking... let's see: 1. He didn't greet us until 20 minutes after we sat down. (My party was already ready to provide drink and food order - smh) 2. How do you deliver COLD unlimited steak fries?!? You should be dropping them constantly right...right? 3. NEVER refilled drinks, or asked if we need anything. I was wiping my mouth with ONE napkin the whole time I ate my delicious, Red Robin Favorite, Banzai burger ( with turkey patty its really good)! I enjoyed my Banzai burger, sweet potato fries (which were hot), but my raspberry ice tea was soooo watered down -_-. Both of my friends had grilled turkey sandwiches and said they were okay but not great. One even said she ate it because she was hungry, lol. Well, Red Robin maybe next time it will be better....if there is a next time (cues dramatic music - dun dun duhhh).

I ended up at Red Robin because my sister had a free birthday burger, so we went for lunch. For some reason, I've never had direct 'intents' on trying Red Robin, but we were right there, starving and who doesn't like to try a new burger? The hostess that showed us to our seats had a funky cool blue color in her hair and she was pleasant and complimenting. It wasn't really a surprise to see the prices of the burgers because I think I've looked or at least glanced at the menu online before. We both opted to pass on the $14-$15 burgers and ordered some type of "Tavern Burger". It was a small double cheeseburger with bacon, some type of aoili and lettuce and tomato. Of course this came with the unlimited steak fries and I also ordered a Oreo milkshake. Fries: Good. The second order was piping hot so the seasonings were sticking to them well and they tasted better than the first round. The only problem was I only ate one of the second batch because I was full. I didn't mean for him to bring me a round. The fries are basic steak fries. The first batch weren't all the way done so it was a bit of a buzzkill, but they were ok...especially for unlimited. Shake: Pretty good. The presentation was fun and summer looking and while it could have been slowly sipped with a straw, I ate it with a spoon. I have no complaints. It was delicious. Burger: I don't know what I expected with the burger, but it was great ! The seasonings were really good. I didn't add salt or anything to it. I ate as much as I could (it was very fulfilling) and then saved the rest for later. Later on, without heating it up, I bit into the burger was pleasantly surprised to find that it was still just as delicious AND the seasonings were popping with each bite even more. There was so much cheese slathered and melted all over it. No burger complaints. Overall, decent experience. Good birthday gift too (a whole free burger). The waiter was ok, the atmosphere wasn't too bad and the food was good. I would go back.

Went last night.Waited 15 minutes for seating. 20 minutes for waitperson to take our orders. After 45 minutes waiting for our burgers asked waitperson when we would be served. Told we are busy( at this point dinning room half full). Finally asked for order to be cxled and paid for our drinks. After waiting another 10 minutes after asking to speak for the manager. We were told"we are behind, it's taking 25 minutes after the orders are in to start cooking. Told us he was sorry and that our drinks would be comped. Told him already paid. His response, I'm sorry. " end of conversation. End of customer for Red Robin.
Very impressed. Unlimited refills on my float. Decent burger and unlimited fries. Plus a free ballon for my kid.

I'm not usually a chain restaurant fan, but there's something about Red Robin that I like. I almost always get the whiskey river chicken sandwich; if I don't, then I'll order the burger version. I hadn't been to RR in more than a year because, on the weekends, I don't usually feel like driving out to the 'burbs from downtown. We had reason to drive up Michigan Rd., though, so we stopped in for lunch. Despite it being nearly 1:30, the restaurant was full with more people arriving after we did. I was impressed with the "new" menu (like I said, it had been more than a year) as well as the presentation of the food. No more plastic baskets that were impossible to eat out of! The chicken sandwich I order is spectacularly messy and I always end up using a fork and knife to eat it. With the basket, food would get all over the place but the plate allowed for more maneuvering room. I'm not a fan of steak fries, so I think RR's fries are just ok. Service was solid and despite being seated in a half booth, my husband and I had plenty of room for our food and drinks.

One of my favorite places to eat out in the greater Indianapolis, IN area. Usually only carnivores can enjoy a place like this, but being a vegetarian, they have the Boca patty or the ridiculously delicious Gardenburger patty I can substitute onto ANY burger they make, which is awesome, because they have a bunch of absolutely mouthwatering burgers up in there! This location in Carmel has some of the best service my wife and I have experienced, it's very kid friendly, with plenty to keep our 15 month old's attention while we eat, and we even had a manager comp our entire meal once when we left our Amex at home and I was going to run to the ATM to get cash to pay. There are endless options of delicious drinks, and in my opinion, there's no better burger menu and no better tasting fries available in Indianapolis. (the parmesan fries are unbelievable) It's all reasonably priced in a laid back, colorful atmosphere. Go here. You haven't tasted a burger until you've had their classic Red Robin burger. Scrumptous!

Cheese sticks were pretty darn good! My bltc sandwich (BLT on croissant) was simple but tasty. This place is a great place to grab a quick meal. Usually a pleaser since burgers and sandwiches always satisfy the belly!

What's not to love about Red Robin? Great service and food! Its nice to see they're able to adapt to the changes in the burger industry. I haven't been inside a RR since last summer so it was refreshing to see new burger options, appetizers, and a new menu. All my favorites were still around too which is always a bonus. Our server was friendly and efficient. She answered all our questions and made sure we were taken care of. Definitely can't go wrong with bottomless fries!!!

As a vegetarian, I wasn't too excited about going to Red Robin. A friend of mine was having a party here, and I asked if she'd considered Applebee's, which I knew had a few veggie options and healthier food. The website makes Red Robin look like it's one big hunk of meat mixed with some bread, cheese, and fried things with a big plastic bird to greet you before you consume it all shamefully. However, I discovered that they have veggie burgers (this is unusual at chain restaurants like this). You can replace any burger with a Gardenburger or Boca burger. I tried the Gardenburger on a patty melt, and it was actually good! Not excellent, but good enough to really surprise me. I also like the seasoning they offer for the delicious steak fries, and the service was excellent. I still wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but as far as chain restaurants go, I approve of this one.

Genine....Togo failure...paleo non friendly. I seemed to be bothering Genine with any request that I had or even that I was even on the phone with her. And when I asked for traditional condiments for my togo monster burger she said "Ya know that is going to cost extra!" Come on really?! Go for the upsell and say "for just an additional 99 cents I can add some extra guacamole in there for you!" And hook line sinker and fishing pole i would have bit because I lOOOOVE Guac! But you had to ruin it and be rude...it's a shame...I never hang up on people but your poor service got the best of me and I went to applebees where they were happy to customize my burger. Red Robin-We love you! You have a team of very skilled servers but there are a fw that ruin your reputation! You haven't lost our business because your food is good and you have some extremely valuable servers. Maybe just some additional phone training? I certainly don't want to feel like I am inconveniencing you by giving my money...but unfortunately that is how Genine made me feel in this particular instance. Don't worry we get it you have your good days and your bad. Your good definitely outweigh your bad! We'll see you soon!

$43 for 3 lunches of burgers, fries, & soft drinks is too steep in today's economy. I didn't know this place had a bar. They advertise themselves as a family restaurant. To me walking my grandkids by a huge bar doesn't really add up to a family restaurant. Also my husband orders the piggy delight aka bacon cheese burger, without cheese. They put cheese on it and ONE, I'll say it again, ONE scrawny piece of bacon. When you get more bacon on a bacon cheese burger at Burger King, than you do at the GOURMET burger joint something is obviously wrong. Skip Red Robin and take your money to Steak N Shake!

Great experience here over the weekend. Usually, Red Robin isn't on my list for a great meal, but this time was different. My dining mate had fantastic service from Jimmy. We started off with the rib tips appetizer. Very good, nice meaty bites with tangy bbq sauce. Then, we split two awesome burgers. First - was the Royal Red Robin burger (cooked medium of course) on a jalapeño-cornmeal kaiser roll. (Seriously, the different buns make all the difference in the world). Second - we had the Whiskey River BBQ on ciabatta bread. We both had different sides, so we we could share (fries and onion rings). It was so much food!

Red Robin is a great burger joint. We have always had pretty good service here. Every once in a while we get a bad apple; but overall great service. The onion rings are a great choice for starters. I would have to say the Burger with the fried egg on it is one of my favorites, but I also like pretty much every burger here. I really enjoy the Whisky River Chicken wrap and chicken tortilla soup!

My wife, son and I stopped in a few months ago and we loved it! The service was very good, the burgers were tasty, and our 2 1/2 yr old loved dancing with the red robin mascot! The place is very clean and we loved the decor. Great looking place with great tasting food!

Great place to grab a burger... I've been here twice for lunch and I have to say my first visit was a little bit better than the second visit. I'll definitely go again because the prices are reasonable, it's kid friendly, and the quality of the food is better than most burger places I've tried. The tower of onion rings will feed a table of 8... you've been warned.

Classic American diner decor. Service has always been very good. Burgers and chicken sandwiches are very good. Free refills on steak fries and drinks (including nonalcoholic specialty drinks). I recommend the Chicken Bruschetta "burger" and chili burger (both include garlic fries instead of regular fries, which are also unlimited). No coupons, however if you get the free Red Royalty card, you get a free appetizer, 5% off all purchases, buy 12 get 1 free burgers, and a free burger on your birthday.

This is my first review, but I've been here before and I visited again for the first time in so long. The food was great! I had a Royal Red Robin burger with Jalapenos and Buzzard Sauce on an Onion Bun with Sweet Potato Fries. It came out just like I ordered. The Freckled Light Lemonade was awesome as always. I swear, that drink is addictive. With our appetizers(Onion Rings and Cheese Sticks), I asked to sample some Sweet Thai Chili Sauce, and as expected, it was sweet...and SPICY! The server was very nice to us and made us feel welcome. This is one of my favorite restaurants near where I live, and if you like burgers as much as I do, it's a good place to eat!

Love this place- every time I go is for lunch. Burgers are delish! I alway sit in the bar- and service always great. Before I decided to change to a no meat diet they had a great menu- since I changed, my boss decide to buy us lunch- I was scared that I won't find anything. Looking on the online menu- I was a amazed on how many thing that don't have meat on then also you can sub for GardenBurger or Boca. I order the GardenBurger with everything- it was GREAT! I was shocked!!

If you are craving a good burger and onion rings - great place to satisfy your craving. If you hope to find a salad while you are tagging along - abandon all hope. Even salads are laden with something that crunches and drips grease. Kids love balloons and the atmosphere. Come with a jacket - somehow the air is blowing on you no matter where you sit. Unlimited speckled lemonade is a delight for all ages. Stronger drink menu is unimaginative.

First let me give huge coo do's to Tori T at the Michigan Road store for making our first experience at the Red Robins a wonderful experience. We were seated immediately, even for a Saturday afternoon, wanted for nothing; she treated us like family and Tori made recommendations based upon our taste and answered all our questions with true enthusiasm and a smile!!!!!!!! My husband was immediately sold on her recommendation of the Endless Root Beer float which Tori keep filled at all times along with my diet coke. Her other recommendation were the Pretzel bits with beer cheese plus a beer mustard dipping sauce. Excellent! Hope they keep this on the menu. My husband is the big burger fan, me not so much. I was pleasantly surprised seeing healthy options available. Numerous green salads, fruit salad, steamed broccoli, a Garden Burger, a BOCA Vegan Burger and my favorite I make at home often, a Sautéed 'Shroom Burger. Healthy IS possible here!!! if temptation doesn't overtake you. The Whiskey River BBQ Chicken was a huge, tender, juicy, delicious chicken sandwich with Whiskey River BBQ Sauce (YUM), cheese, crispy onion straws, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. I substitute Pepper-Jack for Cheddar cheese and roasted green chile aioli for mayo. Along with the endless garlic parmesan steak fries left me extremely full but looking forward to a return trip soon. My husband, being the hamburger truest, started with the "Keep It Simple Burger" before adding BBQ sauce or bacon or building upon. It's a fire grilled burger with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles & onions on the sided. He opted for bottomless steak fries instead of the optional freckled fruit salad. He thought it was a little dry but tasty and it appears their burgers are cooked well since we weren't ask how it should be cooked. Of course, we didn't ask either. Nothing some BBQ sauce or bacon couldn't help when he orders the next time. The bar area is simply the same as so many other restaurants i.e., Applebees, Outback. All have a bar area which is visible as you walk in but nicely separated and not offensive for children passing by and nice for the adults.

Good food and atmosphere. Typical burger joint. Great for meeting up and grabbing a quick bite.

I'm never disappointed in the burgers I'm served at Red Robin. Cooked to order with and served with delicious unlimited french fries with gourmet dipping sauces. Other unlimited sides also available (like broccoli).

First time I ate there today and wow the burgers were just right and the fries were amazing.

I've consistently had a good experience here. I love their freckled lemonade (has strawberries in it) & the food is good too. Employees were friendly & took good care of us.

Manager here is rockin and runs a tight ship. I got a to-go order and asked for a lot of fries. They loaded me up. Always very friendly. Food is delicious. I never have to wait.

My wife, son and I stopped in a few months ago and we loved it! The service was very good, the burgers were tasty, and our 2 1/2 yr old loved dancing with the red robin mascot! The place is very clean and we loved the decor. Great looking place with great tasting food!

Fast service for call ahead, order was prepared correct and polite bar staff while waiting.
