I've tried every froyo place in Indy whenever I hear of a new one opening up. This place is pretty good on wide selections. What puts them apart from others in town? Well, waffle cups...cool trendy decor, and awesome juicy gushing bubbles as toppings. Oh and their spoons are pretty awesome and unique. I've always been a fan of the Yogurtland in Cali for their wide selections and self serv style...tutti frutti in Cali also was where I first had those juicy bubbles and I've been hooked since. ;) glad to see that this place had some. Will definitely be back.

After my horrible meal at Bagger Dave's next door I decided to try out some fro-yo (as I was not about to order dessert after my below average dinner). Orange Leaf is self serve everything and you pay by the weight so if you have kids I would definitely watch them! :) Other than that it doesn't offer anything better or worse than any other fro-yo place I've been to. Maybe I'm spoiled in Chicago but this concept is a dime a dozen here. Anyway I really enjoyed what I got (a mix of chocolate, cookies & creme, and birthday cake) and a ton of different toppings. I only paid $7 so I'm thinking it's a pretty good deal compared to some places in Chicago. Next time I'm in town, I will be back!

I've been to Orange Leaf a few times and it's good, but not great. I find the yogurt to be a bit runny and melts quickly into a soupy mess. A good selection of yogurts and toppings, but my big beef with OL is the store layout. Very small and tight with not a lot of seating - and this location gets lots of traffic. The toppings bar is also right by the cash register, so you have to wait behind everyone choosing their toppings. That being said, it's decent froyo if you're in the mood for it!

Saw this new place in the strip mall and my wife and I decided to try it out. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the bright unique decor. They have maybe 12 or 16 flavors of frozen yogurt here with a unlimited toppings bar. You make your purchase based on weight, so you can have as much or little as you want. We shared a waffle cup with half coconut and half butter pecan. Both were smooth, rich, and delicious. I will definitely be back, I can't wait to try the other flavors!

Okay I am finally drawn in to the frozen yogurt movement so when I drove by the Orange Leaf I had to try it. When I walked in there were a lot of kids there so it appears to a place for after-school activities. There were about 15 flavors available, including special holiday flavors like Peppermint. I went w/ Mango and Coconut, and threw some marshmallows and shredded coconut on top. The Coconut was really good, but the Mango tasted more like Lemon w/ a hint of Mango. I will go w/ another flavor next time. I got a big thing of yogurt for $5, which seems a little cheaper than the competition. If I get the same size at Yogulatte on Mass Ave it might cost a couple extra bucks. Maybe Orange Leaf has a better value.

I have really slacked lately on writing reviews. Mostly b/c I have not been anywhere new or interesting in Indy lately. But, as an 8 month pregnant chick, I could not let this place go un-tried. Froyo in Carmel? Yes, please! What I find very interesting is that it is always packed. I went on a Friday night, so that's my bad, but generally when I have been by, it's crowded. The 2nd thing I find interesting is that they must not have any overhead, considering it is self-serve! They can run this joint with just a couple of high school kids running the register! When I was in high school, I worked at DQ and we did all the work, and I ended up smelling like spoiled milk at the end of my shifts. Not these lucky Carmel-lite kiddos...they leave smelling like "orange leaf"?? OK, bad joke. Moving on. It's a very fun, ice-creamy vibe with little white and orange plastic seating areas, a decent size outdoor area and a lovely counter full of fabulous toppings. There are several fro-yo options to choose from that change depending on the day ranging from original tart to coffee to chocolate brownie mix to more unoriginal flavors like strawberry, vanilla, etc. It does have something for everyone. They also will allow you to taste before you buy, but...they refused to serve me all of them. RUDE. Did this child not SEE my ginormous alien-like belly? OK, well it was a 30 minute wait so I can see how it would be difficult to try them all! I chose chocolate brownie mix with cheesecake and topped with strawberries and kit kats. Don't judge. :) The toppings bar was hard to choose from! There were multitudes of fabulous options in many colors intriguing my taste buds. And, that folks, is why you have to go back. It's impossible to try everything in just one visit. They offer a frequent-customer card and you do a get a freebie at the end of 10 visits. That's nice. How do they charge? By weight - it's a good thing I didn't have to personally get on that scale, eh?? Mine was about $5...not bad. I am a fan. It wasn't the BEST Fro-yo I've ever had, but...it's Carmel. Not NYC. And, it's 10 minutes down the road, so it gets an extra star for location. I wish that they had a pregnant girl line though so I could skip all the waiting! le sigh.

Always Jam-packed so you know they do well! For me the flavor variety isn't great and flavors that seem to be kept for a while aren't even good. I LOVE Frozen Yogurt and have given Orange Leaf a chance on more than one occasion but I am just not impressed. COMPLETELY overpriced for the quality of the yogurt. I drive out of my way to get Yo Joy off Michigan Road over Orange Leaf any day

This place is the coolest place since sliced bread. Frozen yogurt so you feel a little less guilty and it's all self serve so you can add as little or as much of the flavors and toppings as you want. Prices are by weight and not by size or mix ins. We went here with family and friends and just had a ball. It was absolutely delicious and the place is very cool on the inside. I will definitly go there again. At first when my friend said frozen yogurt, I turned my nose up, but now that she talked me into going, I think I'm hooked!

Grab a cup, pick from 16 different frozen yogurt flavors like cookies and cream, pineapple, coconut, etc. and load up with any kind of toppings from candy to fruit and nuts. All do it yourself - it''s awesome!

First encountered the "construct your own frozen yogurt dish in assembly line format and pay by weight" concept at FroYo in New Haven CT October 2010. Apparently a left coast concept migrating rightward. Couple of them already in Indy like Huddles. In general not a fan of the usual tasteless creation but like the idea of it being the vehicle for an assortment of tasty toppings. Compared to FroYo and (locally) Huddles the frozen yogurt actually tasted good at Orange Leaf! Last evening I tried basic vanilla and cookies&cream yogurt topped with brownies, choc chips, boba (similar to exploding Vietnamese bubble tea flavored tapioca balls), berries, sunflower seeds, chocolate syrup and whipped cream. The exploding balls were a hit. Must of got a bad scoop of brownie chunks since mine were stale... apparently that bin was refreshed after I passed. End of line syrups were from hand held over the counter squeeze bottles which was bothersome cause of the flip tops....just a little paranoid about the fingertips of others handling dispenser openings. Bright, cheery and fun and looking forward to the next visit!

First off, extremely crowded! We've been there three times now and the lines were ridiculous. Lots of kids/teenagers. My son tried to get strawberry twice now and they were out both times. The up side is that the yogurt is really good and, they have a large assortment of toppings. The decor is very cool.

Great to see a self serve yogurt place on the north side. We have had a few mediocre froyo places in Indy, and while Orange Leaf isn't life-changing or the greatest froyo ever, it's the best we have for now. There's a great variety of flavors to choose from (at least 12) and a nice selection of toppings. The place is always busy, though that's not necessarily an indication of quality.

Sorry to be Debbie Downer on this review...but...okay, so the place has 16 different types of soft serve. Check. Lots of different topping choices? Check. Here's where it falls apart for me...Someone literally stands there and fills samples FOR YOU. No free sampling. Really? You can't let someone take a few 1 cent samples when they are about to plunk down about $7 for a bowl of soft serve and toppings? They were out of no sugar added flavors the night I was there. Another blow. And here is my next pet peeve...bottled Hershey's chocolate sauce and Reese's peanut butter topping? Come on. Can't you at least serve hot fudge, marshmallow topping, and some other higher quality sauces instead of making people pour them out of a bottle? At least try and fool me into thinking I'm not using typical grocery-store bought products. I guess I am spoiled by Menchie's in Cleveland but I won't go back to Orange Leaf. Great concept. Poor execution.

Went to the preview open house and I must say I have been back with various people since who all have all fallen in love with Orange Leaf. It is a nice atmosphere, big screen t.v. included, and many flavors and amazing toppings. Great new concept to the best desert ever invented. Don't forget to add the "Bo Bo" berries to your favorite flavor.

The family loves to stop in here for a treat after dinner. There are a lot of choices for flavors and the toppings bar includes fruits, sweets, granola, and nuts. The price is calculated by the weight of your cup so the price can vary on you appetite. The service has always been great when we stopped to visit. The staff greets us when we walk in the door and has always offered to provide a taste of the flavors with small tasting spoons.

My kids love coming here, and I can live with it, but I agree with most of the reviews in that too many unsupervised kids, very crowded and the yogurt is just fine. Coffee flavor is my fave but they don't have it often enough for me. It's a bit pricey for what you get. All that said, if you have young kids like me, they'll love getting their own yogurt, putting on the toppings and sitting in their own little chair. You'll enjoy witnessing their bliss, so you'll have fun and you'll return.

Orange Leaf is a self-serve frozen yogurt place, and my husband and I tried it out mostly because of the concept. We've driven past several times intending to go in, but always ended up leaving because the place is usually PACKED with high school students. We ended up going around 10:00 on a Saturday night and the line was more reasonable. The yogurt itself was pretty good. They had an impressive variety of flavors. My husband mixed kiwi, mango, and strawberry together and I had coconut and chocolate in my dish (the chocolate was the best). "Dish" is probably too loose a term, though; "bucket" or "punch bowl" might be more accurate--the smallest size was still at least a 20 ounce container, which leaves more room for toppings but also tricks you into buying more froyo if you're not careful (good marketing, but pricey--and sugary). The toppings bar was okay--a lot of different types of cereal, nuts, candies, and syrups. The syrups were in squeeze bottles with flip caps, and I agree with a previous reviewer that it is kind of gross whenever you have fingers on caps like that. Overall, it's a fun concept, especially for kids, and the product tasted pretty good, but I doubt we'll go out of our way to go back. I think I'd rather get a small scoop from Oberweiss down the street than a popcorn bucket full of froyo and sour gummy worms, and I won't have to wade through crowds of teenagers to get it.
