First time trying Jason's Deli & I had an OK experience thus the 3-stars. I personally like the fact there is no giant menu board behind the counter...a welcome change. Though this is a more casual dining experience it doesn't have to be the same as other casual eateries. There were a few places along the path to the register where you could grab a printed menu & decide upon your order before getting to the counter. We simply stood off to the side to allow other diners to pass while we made our selections. Once we got to the counter there was no pausing trying to decide what we wanted. Any returning customers coming in after us wouldn't have to wait for us to finish gaping at some massive menu board behind the cashier. The food itself is OK. I had ordered a Chicken Panini with a side of chips. The chips were probably just out of a bag but the sandwich was what I really wanted. I like basil but had to scrape about 3/4 of the fresh basil pesto off of the bread before it was edible; a little going a long way with this recipe. The New Orleans style French bread it was served on was really good though. I LOVE black current flavored items & ordered that flavor of iced tea. It only had a hint of black current flavor & was unsweetened so I added just a bit of regular sweetened tea to it. Though this lessened the taste of the black current even more, trying to dissolve little sugar packets into tea doesn't really work well. We were told they offer free mini muffins from the salad bar as well as free self-serve soft ice cream for dessert. These extras were a nice addition to my meal. Cashier was nice & was quick to get us rang up. You seat yourselves in the dining area after passing the drink station & salad bar area. Wait staff/bussers are friendly but maybe a little too fast to clear items off your table (maybe that was just the person who waited on us though). I talk to my husband while we eat & don't finish everything on my plate right away. It'd have been nice if one of the waitresses (bus person?) we had would have asked me if I was done with my plate before whisking it away. I could have said something but she'd already grabbed my plate after having just cleaned off a table across from us thus I decided to forgo the remainder of my meal. Pity, I really wanted to finish what was left of my sandwich & the mini muffin on the plate. My husband got a couple more muffins for me though. What's strange is, a little while later we had placed our napkins on the plates with the utensil on top, pushed them to the opposite side of the table & those sat there for the remainder of our time there (about 15 mins). The restroom was clean as was the rest of the restaurant. The only part of the physical setting that bothered me was that between some of the tables against the wall they have little nooks for keeping their busing trolleys. I'm not sure about others but I wouldn't want to have dirty dishes sitting behind me while I ate (had we sat at one of the tables near these). It makes sense to keep them accessible but maybe not where the customers can see them.

I'll get straight to the point on this one. The food is acceptable. In no way bad, but also not special at all. Why then only 2 stars? Price! Ridiculous! Myself and one other person: each a sandwich, side salad, and small fountain drink. $30! Go to Panera or McAllister's: better food, better experience, better prices.

I tried Johnny Cashew's pork sandwich and it was terrific! I paired a half-sandwich with a cup of southwest chicken chili. Great combination for a cold day!

OK, this is the Jason's Deli that I was accustomed to in Georgia. This location just opened and far surpasses the other location in town. The service was very friendly. The manager stopped by the table to see how everything was. The food was fresh and tasted wonderful. I am pleased to see this Jason's operating up to the standards of the Jason's Deli name.

Sorry to have to report a very disappointing take-out experience. There was hardly any turkey on our sandwiches. Kids' sandwiches wrong.Drinks forgotten. Sides wrong. The deal-breaker was when I called to tell them and they didn't seem to care at all. Will be finding a new go-to place for our picnics.

Awesome food, very courteous and fast service. I'm trying to go for more veggie choices and it was ready to do here with good choices. Don't worry meat lovers, lots of great choices for you too!

I'm a huge fan of the fresh food, but the carry out is soooooo slow!!!!! I've been in there in the evening when the place is practically empty, and I've waited 15 minutes for a sandwhich. If anything keeps me from going there, it will be the snails pace behind the counter.

Amazingly tasty, and healthy, food. Sometimes I feel like its a bit overpriced, but the quality is second to none. Fruit plate is amazing, the soups are okay, and the salad bar is nice too (that is high praise coming from a guy that does not like salads either).

Great food and fast. Very busy at lunch though, get there before 12 and you should be fine. Love the rueben!

I just had lunch and everything was very good. The service was excellent. The salad bar was very good and fresh. The ice cream is a wonderful treat and it tasted very good. I wish we could have a Jason's Deli in our town.

My coworkers and I decided to get a lunch delivery order from this location. It was my first time eating from a Jason's Deli and while looking at the online menu, I admit that several items sounded delicious. Also listed on the menu were the calorie amounts so that was nice. Even though we are located literally minutes down the street from them, we were told that our delivery time would be at least an hour...so we decided to pick it up. I ordered the regular size smoked jack turkey panini and it came with a bag of baked Lay's chips and a pickle. For the price of around $8, it was a large panini. I definitely would have been ok with just a half size. They offer a half sandwich with choice of soup or salad as well. The panini was stacked with warm turkey, bacon, guacamole, tomatoes, thousand island dressing, and pepper jack cheese. It was messy, as it had a lot going on inside. I found it just ok and I hate to admit that I ended up enjoying the chips and pickle more than the panini. One nice thing was that each of our meals was packaged in it's own sack and marked, with a mint in each one. So that was a nice touch.

I wish we had these back in California...somebody needs to bring them out to us quick!! This place is awesome and has a bit of everything for everyone. I get to enjoy veggie soup and sandwiches with real bread (I'm gluten free and if I'm lucky enough to get bread with my meal it oftentimes tastes like cardboard). There also loads of healthy choices like the salad bar and veggie sides with the sandwiches. And of course there's ice cream...yum! Enjoy it as an appetizer or dessert, or both.

Rolled in here for lunch based on the crowd I have seen the last two days. The setup threw me at first. You can grab a menu once you get in the door and then make a decision on the way to the order counter. Just bypass the two cash registers just inside the door. I wasn't that smart and it took some prompting from a very nice waitress to get me moving. I ordered a Hot Pastrami with spicy mustard, lettuce, tomato, and chips. I added a drink and paid $10 with a tip. Not bad for the area and a deal for the quality. My sandwich had a ton of meat and the bread was fresh. The girl taking my order failed to mention that cheese cake was an option. I will never forgive her.

Was early for an appointment and it was lunch time, so I spotted Jason's and thought I would give it a try. It was right at the lunch hour, and the place was doing good business, but not packed. Menu was not posted on the wall, instead you have to pick up a printed menu at the order station, which slowed me down and made me rush my choice, but the order-taker was pleasant and efficient. I see that the place emphasizes "organic" and "natural" food, which carries no weight for me, but aside from the fact that it usually means higher prices is not a negative either. I ordered a Smokey Jack Panini (turkey, avocado, bacon, Russian Dressing). The sandwich and some chips were delivered promptly to my table. Although there was plenty of turkey (which was tender) and I could see the bacon, if I was blindfolded and eating this I do not think I would have known there was Bacon or avocado present. The turkey did not have a lot of flavor either. The size of the sandwich was just right for a lunch, and the chips were nice and fresh. I will consider returning here if I am in the vicinity and giving the salad bar a try, but I will not make a special trip.

Perfection as always. Work on your computer, enjoy an amazing lunch or dinner. Healthy options including original and and lighter portions on 19 menu choices. Super clean bathroom facilities. Kind help staff everywhere. Two thumbs up or even ten fingers :)

This was my first time at Jason's Deli. I am delighted I choose to eat there! The staff is remarkably friendly and the food is delicious! I was met at the door by a woman who smiled and welcomed me. Then the man behind the counter helped me choose what turned out to be wonderful French Dip sandwich! He even made sure there was no cantaloupe in my fruit salad!! I will be back and will tell my friends!

This place is awesome! I have only been here a few times, but each time has been great. There menu is quite large and everything looks tasty. They also have a HUGE salad bar. Their menu also contains a lot of organic items, their grilled chicken is anti-biotic free and they also have a gluten free menu. I stopped by the new one in Carmel during it's opening week. Although the line was out the door, we got in quickly and our food was served in a timely manner. Great place for a quick and tasty lunch! You should go now!
(4)Cary H.
This is the Jason's Deli that I remember from living in Atlanta. The food is very good and the service is good, too. It always seems busy at lunch so make sure you get there early (by 11:30) or you may have issues finding a table. However, the staff clears tables as quickly as they open up so hopefully your wait won't be too long. Enjoy!

Flew in to Indianapolis for a work meeting. Had a quick lunch at Jason's. Great food! I had the 1/2 Yankee sandwich and a cup of tomato soup. Both were excellent.
(5)Rick G.
We've been to Jason's a number of times, and have ALWAYS got the same thing...the salad bar. The bar is always very well stocked, and employees are CONSTANTLY cleaning and filling. Nothing ever appears stale or aged here! I knocked a star off because their ordering procedure can be a little confusing until you've been there a couple of times....or maybe it's just me. :)

2 for lunch. 1st timers Reuben and French Dip w/ soup and chips. Word of warning - if windy and cold, don't sit near the door - no air lock. I'm a reuben fan - plenty of meat on this one - 1/2 lb, sadly not nearly enough thousand island dressing though. The sweetie's French Dip was the stand out. She rated as awesome. Perfect day for the chicken pot pie soup. It is SO good, I'm guessing it can't be good for you. In fine - if you're wanting similar to Shapiro's in all but prices, give this place a shot.
(4)Ed S.
I gave Jason's Deli a try the other night as I was in the mood for something light for dinner. I ordered the Deli Club sandwich, which came with a small bag of chips (you can choose either regular or baked). The sandwich was pretty good, and hit the spot. Nice and hearty -- turkey, ham, bacon, lettuce, and tomato between two layers of thick, toasted multigrain bread. Service was a little sluggish but I was happy enough with my sandwich that I'm looking forward to trying some of the other items on their menu.

First time there today at the new Jason's which opened in August in Carmel. As a new vegan and trying to go gluten-free, I was pleased to see the many selections on their menu. The basil tomato soup was wonderful. The salad bar was fresh and stocked with a nice array of veggies and also nuts and muffins. The staff is professional and helpful: friendly from the first greeting, servers & mgt. who check on you and clear your plates. The place is clean. Prices are reasonable for an all you can eat salad for $7 and change, plus .99 for a cup of soup. Can't wait for the one they plan to open at 86th & Ditch as I was told. If you want healthy, fresh and fast, you should go.
