We love coming here for brunch. I love the green iced tea and they are always quick with the refills. My favorite items to get are the French Toast Monte Cristo and the Parma Hash. They have THE best English muffins! I had the crab cakes eggs Benedict and it was really good. It came with salad on the side. This location isn't very big so weekends the wait can be a little long, but they have seats and the newspaper and free coffee while you wait. Sign up for their email list and you get a buy one get one on your birthday!

Service on a Sunday for brunch was incredibly slow (25 min wait around 11:10am) and service took a while. Food wise, everything was delicious. The tri-fecta covered all the bases with the fluffy waffle, perfectly cooked bacon (although only 2 slices) and scrambled eggs. The eggs were mediocre and slightly cold since we were sitting outside. I tried some hash browns and they were seasoned perfectly. The sweetness of the green tea was perfect and much better than Starbucks' green tea. Overall food was yummy but the wait and service were long and average.

Walked into First Watch on my lunch break to try something new. Girl at the front desk seated me at a 2 person table and server gave me water. Within 5 minutes I had my order on the table. This place is down to earth, with good food. So if you are on a lunch break and tired of going into the same place, rest assured that at First Watch you will be able to get good food fast enough to be back to work on time. Great place! Check it out!

Brunch here can be sweet or savory and it can even be healthy. They have a rather large menu and have season specials. I like getting the Chickichanga, which is a burrito with eggs, chicken, chorizo, and green chilies. On days I want to be healthier I get the Fresh Fruit Crepes. I really enjoy the housemade granola. You can buy bags of it at the register. The green ice tea is a my drink of choice and our waiters always keep our glasses full. Sometimes they can be busy, but if you go a little later you usually have no wait. But they close at 2:30, so don't go too late.

Meh. Underwhelming breakfast joint. We arrived around 10:30 am on a Sunday morning and put our name on the list. 20 min wait... No problem! Must be good! We sat down and started checking out the menu. A little lighter and healthier than your typical breakfast joint. This is where the deflating of expectations begin. Our server came around and was a little zombieish, food took about 20 min to arrive which was a bit slow for eggs (you can almost ALWAYS count on breakfast and Mexican joints to be lightening fast). That solved the question as why they were on a wait... Slow ticket times. After we ate I ran to the restroom, as I washed my hands a server came in, with his apron on and started using the urinal. Man that's gross. That should have knocked another star off the rating. Oh and the food. Under seasoned BIG TIME. I felt like Chef Ramsey asking "where's the salt!?!?"

Having a rough day so I stopped here for breakfast. By myself. This is how I'm treated: although the restaurant is 1/5 full I am seated at the table closest to the kitchen. Gee thanks. I realize I could ask to move but really, I shouldn't have been seated here in the first place. The waitress did not fill my water glass. I guess it's too far from the kitchen...I mean it's three steps! My food arrived hot and fresh, delivered by kitchen staff. Within 5 seconds the waitress appeared asking how everything was. Well, I hadn't even picked up my fork. The pancakes and bacon were very good, as well as the coffee. I would give the food four stars. Service? 2 stars. Despite sweet young smiling faces (the waitresses almost looked like clones) they aren't paying attention. I'll add that I waited a day to post this review to make sure I still felt the way I did yesterday. I do.

First watch is a modern version of your standard strip mall brunch place. The decor is light and crisp with colors you'd expect to see on a kitchen accent wall. Very comfortable and attractive. The service was prompt and considerate, despite the fact that there wasn't an empty table in the place. I had high hopes for First Watch, just based on first impressions. I was, however, disappointed with the food. I have 3 things that need to be remarkable before I will recommend a breakfast joint: great coffee, decent eggs, and memorable pancakes. The coffee was nothing special and tasted a lot like the cheap coffee I get served at work. The eggs were also nothing to brag about, but they certainly weren't bad. The thick cut bacon was also a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, the pancakes were a disappointment. They were fluffy, but they had a crunchy crust. Plus they had a bitter 'whole wheat' taste and texture that I generally don't like in my pancakes. I can't get behind a breakfast place that doesn't nail the pancake. The service and decor were great, plus the other food on trays going to neighboring tables looked really tasty. For these reasons, I will go back and hopefully enjoy my food (and upgrade this review to add a fourth star). TL;DR- Lots of promise, but didn't deliver on the pancakes.

First app review! Lets see how it goes! Well we came to first watch on suggestion of my cousin whom we were visiting in the area. We don't have First Watches in the area so I wasn't sure what to expect outside of the bit that she had told me. We came in with a party of 7 (two kids in the party) and were seated right away, but it was about 1pm so I'm sure we were at the end of the "brunch rush". The service was ok, I think we had a trainee because while he was taking our drink orders another person would be coming in with the first couple of our orders. There were quite a few long periods between stops to check in on us, so if something was forgotten we had to wait awhile for it to be requested. Yet when they were there it felt a bit like they were tag teaming to get us our stuff and quickly move on. (Which may be why we had gaps and missing things) The food was wonderful. I had probably one of the better veggie burgers I've ever had, it was made I guess in house vs just using a frozen boca patty. It came with a fresh greens salad. My daughter order a single plan pancake which was huge. She ended up eating most of it which surprised most of us. I can see that the food is worth forgiving the kind of iffy service. I'm sure the next time we make a trip up north to visit that this will be another trip. I just wish them well till then!

After leaving my last review, a manager reached out to me that evening to apologize for the experience we had at their location. They also offered to send us a certificate to come back in and give them another chance. We did, and 4th time was a charm. Our server was pleasant, attentive, and the food was still great. We didn't tell anyone we had been invited back my management and had intentions of speaking with them afterwards, so we were pleased the experience was authentically good this time. Come to find out, it was only the servers 4th day, and it definitely appears they're taking their customers' reviews seriously and making changes accordingly. I wasn't expecting any sort of response to my review/comment, so I truly appreciated the desire to turn a bad experience into a positive one, and they delivered. We'll be back. :)

Finally a good breakfast place with healthy options at a reasonable price in Carmel. Restaurant decor was sunny, clean, and cheery. A great place to start the day with nice satellite radio playing Norah Jones, Ray Charles genre music, free wi-fi and a newspaper. The restaurant is corporate but in a good way. The chalkboard on the wall similar to others around town, the bright, well designed menu with just enough variety to please everyone. Meaning it didn't feel commercialized and still retained a nice cozy feeling. (When we were checking out the hostess had written all the servers names on the tickets with smiley faces). Everyone seemed genuinely happy. The manager stopped by and checked on the tables the day when it was full. It was nice because the restaurant was full and it indicated they had a good grasp on the flow of the business. No one was running around overwhelmed. The food was fresh and delicious. I especially enjoyed the avocado and mushrooms.Unusual thing to point out but it is a staple in most veg dishes so fresh is a must. The bacado and swishroom both excellent choices for omelets. The omelets were light and fluffy without the greasy taste that occurs when the pan is coated with tons of oil. The side of field greens was a nice compliment and had a nice light dressing. My husband gave his french toast and potatoes a thumbs up. We also had the traditional breakfast with eggs over easy which were cooked to perfection. My son is a vegetarian and we found lots of healthy options on the menu. The day we went they had a nice quinoa power bowl. Many of the items can be ordered without meat. As a veggie family it is nice to have places that can/will accommodate requests. The carafe of coffee at the table was perfect for a relaxed breakfast conversation. The coffee stayed hot and tasted wonderful. They also had flavored creamers at the table for coffee. The staff and service are a compliment to the management for hiring a great staff and training them well. Keep up the good work!

Tried this place again and the service was terrible. I admit,it was a bit slow last time but, this time we were totally ignored. Waitress said be right with you but,10 minutes later nothing. We left and went to LePeeps

It doesn't look like much from the outside, being in a strip mall....However, this is a great breakfast place, especially if you are looking for healthy options. I had the butternut squash quinoa. It was very good with walnuts, cranberries and goat cheese. Service was fast & friendly which I was not expecting after reading other reviews. Also, reasonably priced.

One of the best places for breakfast I've been to on the Northside. Quaint but large enough to not feel like you are on top of others; food options that are unique and considerable customization; service that was exemplary; and prices that are very reasonable. You may want to get there either later or earlier than normal rush times, because it could have a tendency to be busy. The food was very good and the portions very generous. We will be referring others and coming back often!!

Went in for breakfast first week they were open. Meal was GREAT (love the menu), but our server seemed a little nervous. Hopefully just a new server? Menu didn't have as many meatless options as I'd have liked...

I only give this place two stars because the food is good. This was our 4th visit, and each visit was worse. We will likely not be back. After waiting for 15 minutes to be sat, even though there were numerous open tables, they tried to seat us at the smallest, most cramped table in the entire restaurant... Again. The butts of the people at the next table literally rub into your food space as they come and go. We requested instead one of the other many open tables and got a sigh of disgust from the man who sat us, even though there were more open tables than people waiting to be sat. We watched the girl we expected was our waitress look right at us and pass us by for 12 minutes before finally saying "be there in a minute". She then did another seemingly pointless lap before taking our order. There was ONE man playing host, checkout register, and having to also ring up the servers. He appeared flustered the whole time we were there, and no customers seemed to know where to form lines, and everyone just seemed exasperated. I've noticed a half a dozen customers at different areas of the restaurant actually have to stand up and hunt down waiters. On top of terrible service, this place just seems all-around disorganized and is VERY LOUD. Not the kind of ambiance we expect from a place catering to those who want organic and locally grown options. It started our day off very stressfully.

I went for my first time, and absolutely loved it! Had such a great experience! You know it's a good thing when you are having a tough decision and that's narrowing it down to three options. I ended up with the Eggcrepe, which was filled with Turkey, avocado, eggs, all inside a crepe. A side of there AMAZING seasoned potatoes, english muffin, with jelly and salsa. Wow. I swirled that salsa and sour cream on top of my eggcrepe, and went to Heaven. It was a good thing I had an elastic wasteband. Service was nice, and coffee was top notch! I will be coming back, and I can't wait!

We ate here for the first time a few weeks ago and we've been back several times since. The food is always fresh and their fresh juices are amazing! It's our new go to breakfast place. The egg in the hole is my favorite thing to order. I would definitely recommend trying it if you haven't been.

Delicious Crab Cake Benedict, fruit bowl, and Kale Tonic! The service is fast and friendly. We love sitting in "our" booth every Tuesday.

The first time I went in this location, I was expecting something like a Starbucks or Panera...to my surprise it's a real reataurant. Great food and awesome service.

Amazing place for breakfast. Great food with good selections and prices. Love the option of healthy choices.

I've been to this location a few times and have had great experiences! First Watch food is consistently delicious - my faves are the Tri Athlete omelet and Vegged Out. The wait staff is friendly and our meal is always out within 10 minutes of ordering. I'll admit here (and at the other local locations) the service can be slow sometimes, but it's never been worthy of a complaint. Tip: sign up for their mailing list - you get coupons every so often for a free meal or a discount!

I am not sure how this place has escaped me in Westfield the past 5 years, but I am so glad i found it! I've been twice in the last two weeks - a Saturday around 11a and a Sunday around 11:30a. The saturday morning visit we didnt have to wait for a table at all. The Sunday morning visit we waited about 15 mins while tables were being cleared and there were also a number of people who had checked in online that got seated before us (which we will be doing next time!). For a great weekend breakfast 15-20 minutes is not long for me to wait! Service was excellent. During both visits the waitress guided us thru the menu and their favorites. Coffee and water were brought right away and refilled promptly when needed! I love that they bring carafes of both coffee AND water! Food was excellent - the avocado toast is so good. Its nice to have a breakfast that is just light, healthy and refreshing!

Great food! Not your typical breakfast restaurant as there's a different variety of healthy options. I'm not that big into super foods and "clean" eating so I was pleasantly surprised about how tasty it was.

We spent a weekend with some friends out in Carmel. Partying, music, drinks.... The whole 9! Sunday morning always seems to require some type of nourishment to recover from the weekend! Plus we had a few hour drive ahead of us to go back to the Chicago burbs. Luckily, they weren't terribly busy so we were able to get in and seated in a pretty decently amount of time. I had the Cherry Chicken Quinoa Bowl - protein-packed quinoa tossed with house-roasted zucchini, dried cherries, all-natural white-meat chicken breast and herbed goat cheese topped with sliced almonds, fresh herbs and drizzled with balsamic dressing. It was great! Just the pick me up that I needed to recover from all the crazy from the night before. It was fresh without seeming overly healthy and tasteless. It was full of flavors with the mix of the dried fruit and herbs. The flavors were a delightful burst in my mouth!

It's refreshing having a business actually pay attention to their online reviews and care about them. I went to this place because of that fact and was not disappointed when I got there. It was quite the drive for us, so we weren't stoked that there was a wait there. (It's to be expected, however, because it was a Saturday morning). The host quickly told us when we'd be seated - which was spot on. I'm glad we got to wait - because there was an awesome coffee bar people could enjoy while waiting. The coffee bar was a great first impression of the restaurant for me. Food was awesome. Enjoyed every little bite I had. Only suggestion I would have is for them to have more of a variety of coffee. But that's cause I'm a coffee snob.

Food is great, service was fair to good. Had to ask for to go box. Coffee is $2.50 a bit high for a brunch place.
(4)Terry M.
I have been to this location several times. The food is always good and fresh. The service is also great. I would recommend this place for breakfast or lunch. The only downfall is that they are not open past 2:30 pm.
(5)Kira T.
Went here after church for brunch and it was delicious! Very fresh ingredients, very fast and friendly service! I could stand for the portion sizes to be slightly larger as I kind of anticipate omelets and other breakfast dishes to be large. But I was in love with the swishroom omelet I chowed down in! Love the seasonal menu in addition to the regular menu! That's a great concept! Will definitely be back!
(4)Tracey M.
Very good food. I like to eat very clean. And you are able to do that here. I got the healthy turkey omelette. Coffee was very good. I will probably go there more often. I'm going to compare it to the Roost in Fishers because that is currently my favorite place. You can order healthy right off the menu at First Watch...The Roost will accommodate your requests..but it may be easier to cheat. I still give the options on the menu and bread quality is much better at my favorite place. Therefore gonna give 4 stars for this close 2nd place.
