Meh... I seem to re-visit IHOP (in different locations) about once a year with visions of light fluffy pancakes and hearty breakfast offerings dancing through my head. ...And about once a year I am let down by IHOP. This place seems to now be one of those "good after a night of drinking" places...and thiats about it. I ordered numerous items including pancakes, crepes, hash browns and bacon. Everything was pretty tastless and limp...yes that goes or everything. Bacon=limp hash browns=limp pancakes=limp crepes-gross I will not intentionally be going back here.

The server was pleasant but the wait time to be seated was over 5 minutes. The server seated the lady in front of me and gathered her coffee before seating any of the 5 people in line then taking their orders. Once seated it was almost 10 minutes before my order was taken. The restaurant was not crowded at the time so the times I posted seem short but in reality of the situation it was ridiculous. It was free stack day so I expected it to be packed but not really. The pancakes were ok and the sausage link I paid 2.99 for were like the .99 frozen links from the grocery. The syrup containers pour almost no syrup as usual. You have to unscrew the lid to pour properly. Makes you wonder when the last time the syrup containers were cleaned. The coffee was delicious and overall the food was average. Been to this store 4 times and the experience is almost always so so.

Service was great. Ordered the sampler breakfast since this was my first visit to IHOP. Had to salt and pepper due to lack of flavor. Thought pancakes would be better but just ok. IHOP is the worst breakfast place on the west side of Indy. Stay with local breakfast joints. See my other check ins!

This only gets a star because I have to put something to be able to write this review. Granted, we went on Valentine's Day at 2 pm. We were greeted by a hostess that never even looked at us, she simply said "table for 2" while looking off in the distance and a gentleman appeared from nowhere to seat us (at an unwiped table!). About 8-10 minutes after hearing a few wait staff argue over who was going to take us, a waitress came out and explained that she had looked for a waiter for us but no one wanted a table so she would take care of it even though she had been there since 5 AM and just wanted to go home and go to bed. She proceeded to take our drink orders then apparently realized we'd had more than adequate time to make our selections and offered to take our food order. After telling my husband that soup wasn't offered, she had to go ask for prices on a la carte pancakes (really? At IHOP) but not before she climbed in the seat with him to look at his menu. After returning, she took my order and asked if we would like hot syrup with our pancakes and waffles. Refills were not offered, more like sighed at the inconvenience. So our food comes, and the only thing hit was the chicken that accompanied my waffles. Cold BLT, onion rings, waffle and pancakes. Warm syrup never came. A new waitress came and asked how everything was and by this point, this poor young lady got the brunt of our frustration. A couple of waitresses got into a verbal sparring match that could be heard throughout the open side of the diner. Sadly, no one cared. This was our first experience with our local IHOP and probably our last. It must be more of a vacation place to eat. This one needs the management team removed and replaced and the entire staff trained on customer service.

Great food, only have had breakfast, so I can't speak for the rest of the menu. Service is fast and price is right.

I've never had great service or great food at IHOP. I've only been to this IHOP location. But the last two visits (I'm usually with other people who love IHOP) have been great. The servers were both wonderful. Last night Axel was our server and he was delightful. To the point that we will probably request him if he is working next time we visit. The food was also wonderful. I've never been excited to go back to IHOP until now. Get the 2x2x2 - scrambled eggs, bacon and the cinastack pancakes!!!

Took our order then it was lost. Waitress : I know I took your order but they lost it. That's it. No I'm sorry nothing. Sitting for half hour and never checked on us or offered refills. Seated right by kitchen. Asked to speak to manager. Manager: I was not aware there was a problem. Really? Why not? Open mouth stupid look on her face. Walked away then decided to say sorry. Won't be back.

Have visited this IHOP twice in last couple months. The first visit was my best IHOP visit ever. I really enjoy the menu at IHOP so when they started opening new locations in the Indy area I was very excited. The Avon IHOP is soo poorly run that I had to find a new place for my breakfast style dining, and I think I have. The first visit was the best, but I believe mostly because we had an excellent server. The second visit we flustered the server a little and I think she got forgetful. Overall still had a good time. Very clean environment, clean cut employees that speak english!!
