Neat little ice cream place on the west side of Bloomington - west of Indiana 37 that spans Bloomington and Indianapolis. This place is open year round so it was a treat to have alternatives to Hartzell's and Dairy Queens in Bloomington. Jiffy Treat has a variety of ice creams and frozen yogurts, so anyone can find something to match their diet needs. The ice cream was very nice - I had chocolate (pretty brave huh)...my mate had mint chocolate (it was creamy and nice)...our other mate tried the frozen yogurt and liked it. We did not try any of the food but will on another visit. There is a lot of seating outdoors around the establishment...but since it was winter everyone was just picking up. It is a nice area to sit and linger. One other reviewer mentioned this was part of a strip mall and that is incorrect. It is a stand-alone business on the side of the road with loads of parking. The kids working there were nice as pie...great service. Give it a try!

Okay, I've been going to this place about 3 or 4 times a month for awhile. I usually get some kind of milkshake, regular size... price $4 something. Milkshakes have always been pretty good... not the reason for my two-star rating. The reason is... on my last visit, in addition to a milkshake, I asked if I could get a small cup of ice-water.... as it was a hot day, and I was feeling a bit parched. The girl (didn't catch her name) said "sure." After paying, I realized that she had charged me 79 cents for the cup of water... wtf? Really? If that's the way it is, then I'm probably done with ya' jiffy treat...

Jiffy Treet has a nice selection of ice cream desserts. I particular like their mixed flavors (Cyclones). My favorite is simply Vanilla ice cream with Oreos - it's delicious! Prices are reasonable (on the lower end) and they're quick; I've never had to wait too much.

Jiffy Treet is one of the best places on earth. You can tell that family is important to the owners. I especially enjoyed the brotherly-sisterly- vibe given off by two employees: Nick and Tori. What a great duo! They are both so sweet! But not as sweet as the incredible ice-cream treat i received as part of my first mystical trip to Jiffy Treet Bloomington! Keep it up Jiffy Treet, your soft-serve is amazing! The hard ice-cream is equally as fantastic! RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE!

Why is this place popular on Yelp? I'm shocked that anyone would give this place five stars, I mean is this ice cream literally as good as it gets in Bloomington? If so it's a sad state of affairs in Bloomington when it comes to ice cream. The place is just a tiny kind of plain and cluttered location in a strip mall. The place is so small that they have a number of coolers that should be behind the counter out in front, so when we were visiting we had employees asking customers to move who were waiting in line so they could open up their coolers to get milk out. I'd be willing to look past that fact but... The ice cream was tasteless... I had Cookie Dough ice cream and it was as flavorless of an ice cream as I've ever had. Other's in our party were mildly happier with their flavors but it was definitely not anything to write home about. This isn't any artisan type place and they choose to go the classic simple ice cream route which would be okay if they even pulled off the old fashioned ice cream kind of thing. The staff, they seemed less than excited to be there and were clearly only jockeying a register. Don't expect any real insight or help from the staff... Will I be back, maybe but I'm going to try to see if there is any other better alternatives first. Kind of disappointed to see such a variance between what I expected based on Yelp reviews and what I actually experienced.

I've been twice to Jiffy Treat and each time been disappointed. It was reccomended by multiple people as the best ice cream in Bloomington- don't quite see why! I ordered the Raspberry soft serve which was quite flavorless. On my next trip, I ordered a blizzard with vanilla frozen yogurt with kit-kat bars mixed in. The yogurt and the kit-kat didn't mix well. The yogurt lacked flavor and tasted almost grainy. Each visit I asked the workers what they would reccomend and each time they stared blank-faced at me and said, "Uhhhhh that's tough! I don't know." Wow, thanks. I have since tried Chocolate Moose, which is definitely better but also overrated as well!

Overrated. Overpriced. And the people are snobby. They try to market themselves as this down to earth, local ice cream place that makes their own frozen yogurt and ice cream. Whatever. The frozen yogurt has a funny after taste. You have to pay extra for a different flavor? The ice cream isn't that great either. And for what you get...way overpriced. I've experienced better.

Best Ice cream in Bloomington as of 2006! I have not tried any of the new places because I keep coming back here!

How can you give anything less than 5 stars? The ice cream is top notch, but the best part.... the best part is that they deliver! DELIVERY ICE CREAM. Amazing. They have food too, but it's nothing to write home about - the ice cream is where the 5 stars come from.

Very nice! Recommended by my daughter's more experienced IU friends. We liked the Banana Wheel Sundae (hot fudge and bananas, topped with whipped cream and peanuts -- I think I'll ask for pecans next time), and the Turtle Sundae (hot fudge and hot caramel sauce with whipped cream and pecans). I liked the frozen yogurt but thought the regular kind was a lot better than the D-Light kind. The D-Light would be good if you have sugar or lactose issues though-- much better than the diet frozen treats elsewhere. Great spot on a hot summer night! The staff was pretty friendly and worked fast.

Jiffy Treet has inexpensive and delicious ice cream. They offer many flavors and styles of ice cream, and have an impressive list of mix-ins. The ice cream is not as rich and creamy as cold stone, but it's also less expensive and no one sings to you.

Hands down my favorite Bloomington Ice cream shop. They are not fancy, snobby, or trying to be anything other than themselves. Their cyclones with the 100 various options are my jam. They may even put jam in your cyclone... you should ask. My go to is the dream d light with cinnamon toast crunch. The over decor and look of the place could use a little elbow grease, but in a way its simplicity is refreshing. You'll keep coming back once you find your favorite go to!
