Love these hole in the wall diners. This place reminds me of a cafeteria because of the seating, but the food is good, fast, and greasy. I had the strawberry rhubarb pie and waffles, my husband had the biscuits n' gravy and french toast. We couldn't eat it all, but it was very tasty. Sweet tea was good, too.

Horrible. Went for breakfast. Hash browns tasted like butane. Weird. French toast rather gummy. Corned beef hash didn't taste fresh. Service was fast and prices were low, but I wish I went somewhere else. I'd rather pay more money to have a better breakfast.

If you like your breakfasts greasy, hearty cheap and fast, Cloverleaf is your spot. Often packed on the weekends but the tables turn quickly thanks to how stunningly quick the servers are at getting your order and bringing the food to you. Not recommended to those who crave a more high-end brunch-like experience. This is a bare-bones diner full of proud rednecks. Be prepared to be given the evil eye by men wearing NASCAR shirts and women sporting shaved mullets if you look at all different from them. Fortunately, the servers are much more polite than the clientele and the food is dirt cheap enough to bear it.

Best breakfast! This mom and pop has been around at least 30 years and is family owned and operated. Breakfast is super. Melts, blt sandwich, club, tenderloin, fried chicken, bbq, all great hearty and real. Large offering of sides and homemade desserts. Usually some "not on the menu" sweet treats at the register to buy and take home. Friendly and fast. Big parking lot and plenty of seating. Food usually cooked fine and if not they fix it lickity split! Diner food and atmosphere. Very casual and laid back, patrons and staff.

On my one day off a week I sneak out away from my husband and family and come here for breakfast and a nice relaxing meal. The food is nothing special, something I could whip up at my home. Its fairly cheap for the amount you get. There are always the same friendly staff each visit which I enjoy. Ive never been on the weekends but I can assume 90% of the elderly population of bloomington resides here till 3. As long as the coffee keeps coming, staff is friendly, and food is edible....im set!

This place is great for a cheap breakfast. Biscuits & gravy and omelets both good. Very affordable. Friendly staff. Low on ambiance.

This place is perfect when you're craving some comfort food. The prices are actually pretty cheap compared to other restaurants in Bloomington, and the service is surprisingly quick and very friendly. If you want breakfast, this is definitely the place to go.

A good place to go for down home cookin'. Great breakfast food with decent prices and friendly waitresses. It's not fancy and it's not supposed to be.

I have to say, I love the Cloverleaf, especially now that the smoking ban is in effect in Bloomington restaurants. Does it have ambiance? No. But it does have atmosphere, let me tell you. This is very greasy spoon diner type food .... I should also note that I have only had breakfast here. Any menu with the Belt Stretcher and the Workingman's Breakfast is OK with me. It's pretty darned inexpensive, and rather folksy by which I mean most of the people who come and go do so on a regular basis and they know each other and the waitstaff. This is not the place for organic, free range, or even fluffy eggs. Anything you will get will be on a plastic plate. I can't wait until i am in town again.

Ah, breakfast the most important meal of the day. There's something to be said about Cloverleaf breakfast, it comes at you fast. I mean you sit down, wait staff hits you within 1-2 minutes, your coffee/milk arrives within 3 minutes, your grub within a total of 5 minutes. That's my idea of breakfast from a casual diner. I am not able to speak to the lunch/dinner offerings, because I've only had their breakfast. The dining area is often quite filled with others, but nothing to stop the service from kicking ass. Food quality is solid, I've never had a bad breakfast served to me. If good ol fashion breakfast grub is on your list of goodness in this life, then I encourage you to visit the Cloverleaf. I would 5 star them but the fact they're always packed out with customers I hesitate. Parking is more often than not a problem and exiting back towards downtown Bloomington sucks, but that's a West 3rd Street COB traffic problem.

Substandard food quality; diner style. Normal prices.
