Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

For cheap Chinese, not bad. Quick service, nice people, decent food, but not exceptional. Among the best in Bloomington in this class.

This is the best Chinese food in Ellettsville, and probably the best buffet in the Bloomington area. I've been getting Chinese food from this place since the owner's daughter was still in elementary school and they only had takeout. Then they expanded to add the buffet, which is so good my Dad eats here at least once a week. Now that I live farther from home, I make it a point to eat here when I visit Bloomington. My Mom loves the seafood options, and my Dad likes a little bit of everything, including ice cream for dessert. My favorite elements of the buffet include the egg drop and wonton soup, steamed rice, sweet & sour pork/chicken, General Tso's chicken, and honey chicken. Yum! They have three buffet "tables" of main meal dishes alone, plus another side area for salad and desserts I believe. You pay before you are seated, then you get drinks immediately. It is clean and always busy. Great prices too.

As far as hole in the wall Americanized Chinese Restaurants go this is pretty darn great! I have to say that I am addicted to their Crab Rangoon. China Star has surprisingly great Chinese Food for its location in Ellettsville IN. They are super fast and accurate, even during their Lunch and Dinner Rush hour, which you can't say about many places. Family owned and operated. Great prices and quality. and we have had great food every time. Our recommendations include: Moo Goo Gai Pan, General Tsao Chicken, Cashew Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Broccoli and Beef , Egg Rolls, Won Tons, Spring Rolls, Fried Biscuits, Crab Rangoon, Fried Rice, Chicken Lo Mein.

I really like this place. I have been coming for years. I used to live in ellettsville, and this was a weekly treat. I can definitely afford the prices: $6.96 for lunch and $9.10 for dinner. One weird thing is that you prepay. I hate this because they dont let you tip on credit cards. I always have to scrounge a dollar bill out of my wallet, and I'm not a cash carrier these days. There are the average veggie options: -mushrooms -lo mein -rice -green beans -soup (not vegan) The great prices help raise my star rating. Its clean, great service, moderate food, fast, and friendly. And this has been consistent for years. Great job!

The food is decent for a Chinese Buffet. The price point is best at about $7 for the buffet. The restaurant inside is typical for a Chinese Buffet, nothing special.

Wow. Went during lunch and this was the best buffet I ever had. Fresh, healthy selections if you want. Drinks never stopped coming. Don't forget to tip!

Decent buffet, take-out is somewhat better. Not bad for a small town like Ellettsville. It is listed as a Bloomington address but sits on the border. The buffet is limited on options and rarely changes, and if you ask for an authentic menu you get a blank stare. For a cheap lunch on a weekday with no crowd though, it suffices.
