My favorite bar to go to for drinks with friends! Brother's has great drink specials throughout the week and a decent selection of beer. On Thursdays they have $1-$2 beers on tap and half-off appetizers after 10. Customer service is spot on, we are rarely without a drink in hand. The reason for the four stars is because they upped the Thursday night on tap prices and it seems to be getting significantly more crowded, especially on Thursdays. Still love this bar, though!

I went here on a Thursday and on Thursdays it is $1 wells day. When I got my bill it was not the $1.07 like I expected. It was almost $4. I asked the waitress why it wasn't a dollar. She tried to explain but I wasn't following. She said something like it was a double so it costs more. However, I said nothing about ordering a double. I only got the drink because my friends wanted me to have an alcoholic beverage for the game we were playing. I even pointed at the drink special menu when ordering. We also got wings to snack on. We were unimpressed with the over sauced wings.

I'm sure if I go back, I will change my review. But, my first experience here was not that great. Mainly because of the waitstaff. I went with a group of friends on a Monday night for an after dinner beer. We sat at a table and it took the waitress 10 minutes to come over and drop off a beer menu. Finally we placed our order - 2 pitchers of beer. Not too complicated. It took 15 minutes of waiting (still no beer) until my group and I decided to leave. Keep in mind, the place was empty.

The name says it all--it's a bro bar. Their selection of beer is pretty sad, but they do have cheap specialty drinks. They are mostly cheap for a reason, being just a bunch of sugar and cheap liquor. I didn't get any food, but, looking around, it seemed like the regular cheap, microwavable bar food. The place was full of girls in strangely patterned leggings and stupidly tall heels considering the ground was covered in ice, and all the guys there had on some kind of jersey and backwards baseball cap with the same shifty, lingering look typical of sleazy guy behavior. I found it interesting that I had great service from a friendly, male bartender early in the night, and then got really crappy service from a pair of girls required to wear busty tank tops once it hit nine o'clock. I probably won't be coming back here if I come back to the Bloomington area. I'm sure there are much better places.

One of the bartenders ripped me off last night. I ordered a pitcher for $5, paid with a 20. Later in the night at a different location I realized I had only gotten $5 in change instead of $15. It seems to me that lady most likely did it on purpose. So be careful that you make sure you're getting correct change here folks and not robbed.

Ok place for middle of afternoon glass of wine, beer and snacks. Not very big wine selection - sutter home. Appetizers order were chips & queso, fried pickles and originally gator bites (chicken with jalepeno , pepper jack cheese wrapped on bacon) but They were out so we replaced with cheese fries. Pickle chips were my fav. Nice light and crispy with ranch. Queso wasn't for my taste

I ordered two bacon cheeseburgers with fries and two cokes. I had it delivered, it cost me $35.00 with tip & delivery fee. I ordered both burgers medium, they were fully cooked, no mayo, ketchup or any condiments whatsoever. The French fries were cold and the cans of coke were hot. For $35.00???? I will not be ordering form here again, that's for sure!

Yuck. Awful. This is a place I absolutely hate going to. Its dirty. They have no vegan options beside liquor and chips. So why does anyone go here? I go occasionally on Tuesdays because its $2 anything. I can't in good faith turn down $2 ketel one. Its just not in me. Weekends--this place is packed. It is crawling with creeps that I expect to jump me at any given minute....and someone gave these jerks booze. And it kills me to see that there is sometimes a wait outside!! They have good specials. Thats why they get 1 star (also can't go lower than that on Yelp). Bad service, bad food, bad atmosphere, bad crowd...

Really getting the chain bar feel off of this place- if you like that vibe, then go ahead. i got the impression that it was basically the applebees of bars. is it awful? not really. is it great? not at all.

I've actually been coming in here more recently and it's sort of redeemed itself. The beer is still questionable, but it's been okay the last few times I've been there. I mainly started coming for their food and because they have lots of TVs so that my cable-less (which, in Bloomington, means you just get PBS) ass can watch sports. The food is pretty damn good and I would put the reuben as one of the best in the city. But for a side on that reuben they have these thick, housemade potato chips that are really, really good but BEG for a sauce to dip in. Enter upsells on sauces... Can't dock them for that one, because it's just a smart move. One gripe here: don't bring your damn kids! IT'S A BAR! I guess they want to keep a "family style" section away from the bar, but this is just not the place for anyone under 21 on paper. And, yes, I guess that's a gripe too: the later, much younger crowd who slurp fruity cocktails, block walking paths with their group-talk horde, and shriek for no reason. I'm too old for that, I guess. But I do like coming in here now. I think it's my Yogi's replacement, and a bit of a Scotty's replacement now that they're going downhill. I just need to get out of there before 9pm. The beer is cheaper than Scotty's though, and the food is a lot cheaper. Oh, and they have michaladas. Gold star for you if you knew what that was without Google, and props to them for offering it and calling it that despite their Indiana placement.

Great specials, customer service and atmosphere. My sorority hosted a bar tab here and we had a blast. They allowed us to have the whole upstairs to ourselves for the duration of the night, which made for a great night with friends.

I ain't got nothing against this place but I ain't got nuthin for it either. I had fish tacos there for the first time in my life and that turned me on to that tasty treat. Other than that, yeah it's cool if you're into ALL THE TELEVISED SPORTS IN THE WORLD ALL THE DAMN TIME. Which you can probably tell that I'm *not*. Drinks are ok. Bartenders are friendly. You can find a WHOLE LOT OF LESBIANS upstairs during the start of the Sweet Sixteen (which is like a basketball thing). It is rather spacious. The end

I usually only come to Brothers for beers but got food one time. I didn't want something greasy like the typical bar menu items where everything is deep fried. I got a chicken Caesar wrap and I didn't regret it like I thought I would. Definitely exceeded my expectations for bar food. The sweet tots don't taste like they're made of sweet potatoes but I ate them all anyways. Maybe I was just really hungry??

I cannot believe this place only has 3 reviews. Get with the program people and start reviewing - jeeeeeeez. So I used to live in btown and had quite a few fun nights here. Halloween was epic. Good patio, decent music and cheap drinks. Sold.

Another lame chain bar. Avoid.

What's not to like? Great bartenders. Great beer selection and the best beer specials around. The food is a bit better than average bar food... nothing special. All in all though, it is a mad decent spot to go beveraging.
(5)Adam N.
Average and forgettable food... below average service. The waitress didn't care and was more concerned with chatting up her friends in the next booth. I haven't been back and I don't plan on going back. I'll go to Scotty's and Kilroys instead!

ehhh... this place was pretty fun when it had just opened, but now the staff has gotten worse and the food was always just so-so in my mind... a little over priced for waht you get... not a fan of the nachos I got... it's a bar, pretty much that simple. It doesn't bring much to Bloomington which is hard because all the other bars around seem too... everywhere else has something that makes it fit and awesome in bloomington except Brothers... it just kind of exists when other places have too long of lines if you ask me...

After a hideous experience at Farm we walked up to Brother's. Kylie was an amazing server....super friendly and helpful. The upper outside deck was such a treat on a spring night. Although the sports theme was not appealing to us, the food was good, the building was interesting and well done with old vintage signs...we liked the giant PBR sign the best! The tiny little bouncers had a big tough-guy attitudes that we found cute. Everyone seemed to be having a good time with full glasses. There was plenty of staff to go around and they all seemed really happy. We will return and bring our friends. Thanks so much.
