Excellent bagels. Lots of flavor and made in-shop with quality ingredients. The sandwiches and salads are little bit pricey but delicious too.

Great place for breakfast, lunch, or a coffee break in Bloomington. The bagels are always fresh and the schmeres are fantastic. I recommend the spinach or the artichoke gouda (to die for). In terms of bagels, I usually get the asiago cheese because it is perfectly melted on top and oh so good. They do a great job catering as I have ordered them many times for a lunch or breakfast meeting. They always get the order right and are on time. And the lox is amazing. If you are in bloomington and haven't been here, you are seriously missing out!

I LOVE Bloomington bagel. My favorites are a flagel (Flattened bagel-less thick) with either light veggie, or garlic and herb cream cheese. BUT, on my "bad days" I always go for an asiago, toasted and scooped out with half jalapeno and half garlic and herb cream cheese. My only complaint is that if I take it to go- even wrapped in foil, it's never warm by the time I get to work :( Not sure what can be done about that!

A local favorite, with delicious bagels, schemers, soups, and coffee. Their bagel sandwiches are also superb. The staff is very friendly as well. Nothing really to complain about.

These are my all-time favorite bagels. I realized after eating here how many bagels taste more like a muffin than a bagel. These are yeasty, chewy, thick, delicious quality bagels at a good price.

The bagel were nice but nothing really special, and the people are very far to be friendly...

Is it the best bagel in the universe? No. Please. Back to earth. Is it better than the bagels in Northeastern cities with big Jewish populations? No. Anyone who tells you differently a) is not Jewish, b) has never left Indiana in their life, or c) both A and B. Hoosiers have absolutely no street cred with me on this issue. Is it the best bagel available in Indiana? Yes. Is it worth standing in line for twenty minutes on a Sunday morning to order a baker's dozen and a half-pound of flavored cream cheese? Having done this, I can honestly say yes. (Sunday brunch just isn't the same without the bagels.) Not brilliant, but a good, honest (boiled!) bagel.

best bagels in Bton for sure. pretty quick service and a great variety on the menu. and the owner is involved with the university and town and quite supportive of a variety of progressive causes.

This place is the bagel to my schmear, the creamer to my coffee, the breakfast to my morning. Bloomington Bagel Company has got it going on. They have a wide variety of bagels to choose from. You have anything from plain, to blueberry, to cinnamon sugar, to spinach, to jalapeno cheddar, to chocolate chip and the list goes on. And don't forget about the schmear. They've got plain, sun-dried tomato, honey almond, garlic and herb, brown sugar cinnamon swirl, and again, the list goes on. Think of all the combinations you can come up with! They also serve breakfast sandwiches and other breakfast pastries. I tried the cinnamon-sugar bagel with brown sugar cinnamon swirl schmear and it was quite delightful. I washed it down with a cup of their hazelnut coffee which was absolutely delicious. I will be making a stop here the next time I grace Bloomington with my presence.

One of my local favorites. Lots of variety in terms of the bagels, cream cheese, and toppings. 4 stars because I think it's a little pricier than it needs to be. I'm happy to support a local business, but it seems a little over the top to me.

Great bagels & cream cheeses. I recommend the pretzel and salt bagels with artichoke smoked gouda schmear. The brown sugar cinnamon and cucumber dill schmears are equally tasty. Consistently delicious and appropriately priced. Big fan of the iced coffee too.

Can't say enough good things about this place. I worked at BBC in college and was lucky to become part of an amazing, open, accepting community of bagel-lovers and people who are passionate about making Bloomington a great place. Only makes it better that the food is amazing!

Bloomington bagels makes some good bagels. Chewy inside and crunchy outside. Only downside is that its a bit pricey for bagels.

They have Bialys that are out of this world.....and the coffee is good too.

When I scout out a potential eatery, I try to look up their menu and I plan out what I would like to order. Bagel places are no exception. In my head, I wanted the pretzel bagel (because I had a weird craving for them) and that artichoke gouda schmear (because I love artichokes and I love cheese - it seemed perfect). Of course, it turns out that I can't have that schmear because some genius decided that garlic would go great in it. Thanks. So I stuck with something safe: the almond honey schmear. I'm honestly not a bagel person. I'm more of a donut person than a bagel person, which is weird, because I only let myself get a donut a few times a year... definitely less than five. I limit my donuts because of how they have empty nutritional value but are so gosh-darn-it tempting. For bagels, they weren't my favorite because of how filling they were and I like variety and if I have a bagel, I probably can't try something else. However, they do have their uses... and I was very much intrigued by the sheer variety of bagels and spreads (or schmears) that this place boasted. Why not? Bagels aren't bad... they're just not my usual or preferred breakfast food. If you give it to me, I'll eat it (unless it isn't vegetarian or contains onion, garlic, leeks, or chives in any shape or form, that is, haha). I walked in at around 8 AM on a Wednesday and I wasn't the first one, since the place had been open for at least an hour. Many other early birds were already there. There was a decent amount of seats and some of the patrons were leisurely eating over a newspaper while others were there eating breakfast with someone else. Either way, the place was pretty lively for such an hour. First, you go to the counter facing the menu (makes sense) to order. Then you head over to the cashier to pay for your order. The bagels fill these labeled baskets on the back wall. Other baked goods like muffins line the display case. There is a sign with their schmear offerings and I think there was also a printed out list as well. I wanted a unique schmear - none of that plain stuff like just cream cheese. I was here to be amazed! ...I guess the chunks of almonds in my schmear amazed me? I did like the texture and I got a little bit of protein in me. That pretzel bagel also definitely tasted like pretzels, though a bit on the bottom was on the bitter side when I licked it (not on purpose). My tongue was there and I inadvertently licked it. All in all, I didn't mind my breakfast, even though I originally wanted something more savory but not quite the usual eggs-and-cheese-in-a-bagel sort. It wasn't too expensive, though a little much when you think about how you're really eating a bagel and spread for $5. And commercially made orange juice. I wanted to go lighter... healthier, what have you. And I wanted my morning serving of liquefied fruit. Unfortunately, the place doesn't make their own juices, but I guess they're known for their bagels and schmears - not their beverages. To be fair, at least the spread's thickness is decent. It got to the point that (like in a burger) the further you get through the bagel, there's a bit of the cream cheese spread that begins to ooze out the other end. I also noted that there was an entire line of outlets along the side wall. That got me excited and I even considered making the place that day's Work Station - it was clean, spacious, well-lit, and fairly quiet. However, I was only in town for a couple more days and still had a number of coffee shops to try out, so I left after I finished. I can't say that I fell in love with bagels after my meal, but I can say that they can be quite good. It would be even better if I could have that artichoke gouda schmear, though. Just saying.

On a recent trip to Bloomington, I decided to check Yelp for a local coffee store, rather than heading to the convenient Starbucks. Luckily, we found Bloomington Bagel Company - and I'm so glad we grabbed our joe and bagels there! The baristas/cashiers were extremely helpful and friendly, and the samples on the counter helped us to figure out what we wanted to eat. There was a great menu of usual breakfast staples, as well as plenty of different fresh bakery options. Once we ordered and sat to enjoy our meal, we were pleasantly satisfied. The coffee was fresh and hot, and the bagels/schmears were delicious. BBC displayed their IU pride amongst posters for sports teams, and the tables were decorated in old travel photos - really cute and charming! The price was very reasonable, too. If/when I go back to Bloomington, I'll go here again.

WOW. Visiting from out of town, and Bloomington Bagel Company was an amazing surprise. Local business that makes bagels from scratch using a recipe from NYC?! It was every bit as good as I imagined. Over the course of my visit, I managed to try three varieties: your basic wheat bagel with cream cheese (sublime), a cinnamon sugar bagel with cream cheese (perfect sweetness for a shared afternoon snack), and a roast beef sandwich on a salt bagel (top notch). Employees are polite. And there's free wifi! Great place.

Tried Bloomington Bagel for the first time today, and oh my was I excited about my choice! I got a breakfast bagel on the jalapeño cheddar bagel with a side of plain cream cheese. It was beyond amazing! Also had the iced chi tea another tasty choice ;) The employees were very friendly and accommodating! I will definitely be a returning as a, happy, belly full, satisfied customer!

3.5 stars and rounded up because I saw queer friendly signage inside of the store. I have been here at least a few times before and today I ordered a Jalapeño bagel with cheddar and egg. The price came to $4.01 which is definitely a very reasonable price for breakfast. The location is good if you are already hanging out around Kirkwood or on the West side of the IU campus, but this location would be a hassle to specifically drive to since there is no free parking. I ended up putting some quarters in the meter outside when I ran in and got my bagel. It should also be noted that while the bagels are locally made & the shop is locally owned, the ingredients are not locally sourced. There is also often a line to stand in before you order which isn't always super worth it. Good option though if you are close to the Westside of the IU campus and want a cheap meal.

This is a great little college bagel place. I stopped in while exploring Kirkwood Ave on my lunch break, and I got a delicious bagelwich and coffee. It was a bit more expensive than I expected for a college place, but certainly not out of the ordinary on the grand scale of things. If I'm in town again, I'll definitely be back!

BBC has a few things that are awesome. Two of these things are seasonal pumpkin cream cheese, and their artichoke-gouda cream cheese. Another is the red pepper cream cheese. Their locations are also pretty convenient (for me). Service is pretty good and I like that they have trivia questions where for a correct answer, you win a wooden nickel good for a free bagel. The thing that BBC has that is not awesome, are their bagels, and that's why they get 3 stars. Really it's more like 3 and a half. I mean, the bagels are fine. But you can get better bagels at the Bakehouse. Also, whenever I ask for the bagels to be toasted, they're more like "lightly warmed." You cannot, however, get the awesome artichoke gouda cream cheese at the Bakehouse. Sometimes in this life you have to make choices. This is one of them.

I am in love with the 11 grain everyseed bagel. It's even worth getting every seed stuck in your teeth (a little snack for later). The egg sandwich with muenster cheese is what I've gotten almost every time I've been here. Just recently tried the Artichoke Gouda spread and it is sooooo good! Cool pictures decoupaged to the tables and counters with people all around the world holding up a Bloomington Bagel Company bagel.

Yuck! The coffee here is terrible and so is the service. This used to be the best place to go for coffee a few years ago. Now, the coffee tastes like hot water and getting the attention of the person behind the counter is like pulling teeth. Want to have him scratch is head? Give the cashier a $5 for a $3.50 order. I had to tell him that the register would tell him how much change to give me. Unbelievable.

Good place to grab a quick breakfast if you're in Bloomington. I ordered a bagel and lox and it was received quick and the food was tasty. There's a little bit of an outdoor area and its in the heart of downtown Bloomington.

Sue makes the best bagels in town. The artichoke gouda schmear is wow, to die for awesome. Totally unique, and I crave it every time I go back. This is a serious bagel place. They actually boil their bagels and they are delicously chewy. Better than most bagels in NYC! Also, it's cheap. Get lunch for under $5 (a bagel/cream cheese, and a drink) and chill with some free wireless internet.

Worst ever. Bought a cinnamon sugar bagel there. Someone mixed up the salt and sugar and I got a bagel that tasted like the inside of a salt shaker. When I left, someone else was complaining about his order. Servers were rude. Food was expensive. And now my taste buds are fried on that salt bagel. Gross.

Yes I love Bloomington Bagel, it's pretty quick and convenient for coffee and a bagel on my way to class. I love all the different delicious schmears and spreads and the lox....wow.... it isn't healthy but it is tasty. They have lots of toppings from cheeses to spinach and olives and you can basically create whatever you're in the mood for. The only downside for me is that the bagels are always a bit too hard for me even though they are made at the store fresh daily.

I ate here every Sunday for 3 years. The only time I missed was when I was too sick to drag myself out of my room in the middle of January so you can imagine how much I love this place. I'm from Chicago and we have pretty good bagel places here but I still miss and crave BB often. From their Lotsa Lox to their croissants to their temptingly delicious black and white cookies, I don't recall ever having anything I didn't enjoy immensely there. Their cookies are HUGE and always baked just right, as are their scones, s'mores bars, muffins and just about every other baked good that comes out of their ovens. The bagels are awesome and over-sized. They remind me a lot of NYC bagels. The actual restaurant area is super cute with pictures of customers posing with bagels at different landmarks and in different places all around the world. They feature different artist's artwork on the walls and there's always a little vase with some sort of seasonal flower on each table. Staff is friendly enough; it's the kind of place where you order, grab your food and sit down to eat or take your food elsewhere. Basically, this place is amazing and I miss it dearly :).

BBC has ruined me for bagels. The cheap ones you get at a grocery store or a continental breakfast just don't hold up. Granted I've never been to New York, but it's hard to imagine them being any better. They've got any type of bagel you want (I really like the asiago cheese ones) and any schmear (creamcheese spread) (I'm a big fan of the lox schmear). If you don't want that you can get a bagel dog, or a bagel sandwich with loads of fresh toppings, or any number of bialys and baked goodies. They're really a B-town institution.
(5)
Katie B.
Pretty good bagels, but there aren't a lot of options in town. They do have a lot of bagel flavor varieties though, which puts it ahead of some more commercial places. The service is usually dismal, but the kids who work there seem young and probably aren't getting paid much, so who can blame them. If you just crave a nice warm bagel, this is the spot. The inside is pretty gross, so I recommend outdoor seating if it's nice.

Cheap. Delicious. Artichoke smoked gouda schmear. Enough said. BBC may be the real reason that I'm moving to Bloomington -- graduate school is just the better excuse.

"Just take me to bbc....pleaasese I need bbc" Best bagel outside of Manhattan! Thats it, thats all you need to know. They boil em and schmeeere em! I ask all my friends coming back home from Bloomington to "please bring me BBC". They have an asiago and artichoke schmere that is out of this world. They miss out on the 5th star because things like soups and some of their baked goods are not that great. Also, they need some sort of combo meal for lunch. You can easily walk out of BBC with a $15-20 tab just for lunch which is a little outrageous if you ask me, at least for bagels in southern Indiana! If you're in Bloomington, and you wanna make $20 bucks... message me, I'll put in an order and meet you in Manhattan with your money, Oh God I miss BBC in Btown!

Sausage Egg and Cheddar.... 'nuf said. My wife gets the roasted red pepper Parmesan spread on the 12 grain bagel and loves it. I don't ever make a trip to Bloomington and miss out on these tasty bagels!

Amazing bagels, great service terrific catering options.

The Bagels are good, but definitely not great. Everything else they do is mediocre to bad. Stay away from the chicken and the tuna salads, unless you like fakey salad dressing like Miracle Whip. Everything is really straight from the Sysco truck. Behind the counter there may be a kichen, but there is no soul. I went here a lot, but just stick to the bagels and coffee. I'll give them an extra star for being good to the wider Bloomington community through sponsoring lots of arts stuff!

If you've never had bagels before, you may think this place is amazing. Other than that its bland bagels and nothing special. Dea - I'm not sure where you get your bagels but I don't think I had a bagel here that compared to a bagel in NYC. And to Shelly I'm from California and bagels back home are significantly better as well.
(2)
Dan S.
Awesome place! The bagels are warm and fresh. It definitely shows they aim for quality ingredients. They have a long list of custom bagel sandwiches and very cute and friendly servers. A tip of the hat to the manager that picks them out. I think he may have a thing for tan blonds. Oh and it's cheap. This is definitely a stop I make frequently.
(5)

Bagels themselves are very tasty and there is a large variety in bagels and smears. I don't recommend the sandwiches as some of veggies tasted less than fresh. The coffee drinks are absolutely horrible - definitely go elsewhere. The staff is fairly unfriendly, especially for a bagel shop. Gist - the bagels are maybe 4/5 stars, but otherwise this place is disappointing.

OH. MY. DAD. I cannot believe this place is on yelp and I have the chance to declare my fairly obvious love for the GREATEST bagel place on earth. So. I worked here for three years when I was in school, and during that three years, I ate here almost every day. Free food on the job and half-price off duty made it a staple. It's amazing. It's fabulous. Home-made bagels, declicious and varied cream cheeses blended there on the spot and in addition to the best bagels in the world, they also have the best cookies. Not too bad for Bloomington, IN. And I think I love this place the most when I roll in slightly hungover while visiting Btown, and I start to order my most fantastic creation ever and I watch the eyes of the bagel preparer pop out of their heads. I'll share: Cinnamon raisin bagel, scooped and toasted twice. You wanna leave room for all the good stuff you're putting inside, so don't hate on the scooping. In one half, get horseradish, chicken salad, spicy mustard, honey, tomatoes, onions and a slice of swiss cheese. Send that shiz thru the conveyor oven. In the other half, add artichoke gouda cream cheese (seriously the best cream cheese of al time), honey and onions. Leave the two halves open faced, throw a pickle in the middle, and BAM. You are in heaven. Also when I make them prepare this bagel, I have them make my friend Sam's as well since she gets basically the same thing. Luckily, they have extremely high turnover there because if I asked someone to make that bagel twice, their head would explode. Except for Dawn. She always has my back. Also also, the shrimp corn bisque is AMAZING even if it's a premade soup. Well, I could go on forever about the awesomeness of this place, but I think I need to tone it down a notch and I'm pretty sure most people stopped reading this review after the first paragraph. So that's it. For now.

Delicious Bagels, great variety of flavors in both schmeres and bagels. The cookies and baked items are to die for as well. 4 stars for the lack in atmosphere inside the dining area. Still a great choice though.

Really great bagels. It's sad when a place in the midwest has way better bagels than anywhere in DC. Freshman year I used to go to the 3rd street location (not there anymore) and get a whole bag of bagels there were about to throw away! The bagel sandwiches are delicious and cheap!
(5)
Angelica G.
Ahhhhhhh. I love this place. Yummy fresh bagels, done almost anyway you like 'em (I enjoy the sausage & egg, 10x better than most places), cookies, a wide selection of beverages, and salads. Far more from what you would expect. Grab a cup of joe, a bagel, and a newspaper and head to the outside seating to relax, you won't regret it.

I just can't get enough! You look at my debit card, and it's so many BBC purchases. Really good service, a good amount of locations. Fast! Delicious! My favorite has become the lox sandwich on an everyseed bagel. Also has great coffee, and a good atmosphere if you want to spend a little while checking the internets and savoring your sandwich.

I really wish that I could score the bagels and then everything else separately. The BBC makes some of the best bagels outside of New York (that merits a five-star in my book), but other things are hit and miss and some of the special bagels fall into the miss category. Plain fair like the sesame, poppy seed, onion, and, of course, plain bagels are fantastic. They're properly chewy and don't need to be toasted, though they can be to nice effect. I am willing to ignore mild heresy such as the sunflower seeds on the everyseed bagel and tolerate the outright blasphemy of cinnamon raisin bagels, because it's none of my business what other people do in the privacy of their own mouths. Inspired by what must have been a transient ischemia, I made the mistake of trying the pretzel bagel which replicated faithfully the flavor you would get from burning a handful of snack pretzels. I am opinionated on acceptable adulterations to my cream cheese and frankly it's a short list. I don't bother anymore with anything but plain cream cheese. However, if you have perverse predilection towards fruity or savory flavored cream cheeses, there are plenty to sate your baser appetites. For lunch I have been known to have a bagel dog with sauerkraut and mustard. It hits the spot and the dog is kosher, but a bagel is an odd home for a hot dog due to its chewy rigidity. Though a soft bun is better, I'll admit that I willingly participated and enjoyed my role in this farce. What rips me in half about the BBC is that the coffee is awful, foul, bitter, worse than from a gas station, and barely drinkable even for a caffeine addict like me. I don't know if it's a complaint or a mercy that they are frequently out of one or more of the various flavors they offer. Normally, a great restaurant with a poor offering would still be great, but coffee is so integral to breakfast for me that I feel forced to either drink terrible coffee or take my bagel somewhere else to get a complete breakfast. If I could get Soma coffee at the BBC, it would probably get a five. Aside from the staples, the BBC has some great little finds, like the hamantaschen. I don't know if they were just around for Purim, but I could eat my weight in hamantaschen and the ones at the BBC are exemplary.

pretty good bagels. not the best i've had, not the worst. their every seed bagel gets 4 1/2 stars, 5 stars if you add egg, pepper jack cheese, and avocado (i LIVED on those things in undergrad.) only problem: i am really picky about having a perfect amount of salt and pepper on my eggs, and half the time they don't put any on...and they don't leave shakers out...so then you have to badger the workers while there's a long line and you feel like satan. and then sometimes the avocado isn't ripe, and that is a very heartbreaking thing indeed. overall: good for a quick lunch or snack in between classes.

I love BBC and when I come back to Bloomington I almost always take a dozen home. Maybe they're "nothing special" to someone who has constant access to a decent bagel, but for me, they're great. Tons of flavors of bagels and shmears and other items (muffins, breads...) that are all delicious. Everything is baked on site, which means that your bagel is always fresh. I also come for their fresh made Challah around the holidays - mmmm.... The BBC is definitely one of my favorite stops when I make my way back to IU.

Not a big fan... All the talk on campus is the this place makes great bagels. So, when midterms rolled around, i decided lets have a morning review "party" with bagels. After finding their number online, i saw that they delivered. I called (at 8)and told them i needed 20 odd bagels for this study group. I was told that i needed to buy 40 some bagels for them to deliver. Well at this point i figured, what the heck..if these bagels are so good, ill just give out a few extra bagels out. I was told that my fresh would be where i needed them by 9. At 10 the bagel man showed up and we all decided to take a break and eat. We ripped open the bag to find that some of the bagels seemed to be a day old or longer. Being college students we said whatever and continued to eat. I might try BBC again, because everyone still says these are great bagels. But, in general, the bagels just didn't taste that great to me. It was more on the hard side and was pretty disappointed with the three types i tried. Maybe i just had day old bagels or perhaps just didn't order on the right day.

BBC is heaven for a bagel lover like me. They have pretty much any kind of bagel and any kind of schmear you could want, and the bagels are some of the best I've had. The staff is very friendly - if you're indecisive (like me) they'll let you sample two or three schmears to help you decide. I like sticking with the classic, perfect bagel + schmear duo, but you can also get various bagel sandwiches as well. Don't forget dessert - their cookies are big and super tasty! I recommend eating there, too, because the atmosphere is so fun. The tables are covered in travel pictures and the walls are full of stuff to look at too - color everywhere, and it's very lively with all the college students chatting over bagels and coffee. In my mind, it's a near perfect brunch spot.

No better place in Indiana for bagels. Large selection, locally made, boiled bagels. I come at least once a week for the cinnamon sugar bagel with honey cream cheese and the service is always quick and friendly. You can also get sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches here. A bagel with cream cheese is 2.77, which I consider an entire meal and a good deal. Coffee bar prices are slightly overpriced compared to Starbucks and I have had some issues with chai lattes (cold, no foam, etc) so I have to deduct a star, unfortunately. I love this place and will miss it when I'm gone.

Sure this place has a '$' rating, but keep in mind that these are 20 cent bagels that we're talking about that are jacked up to ridiculous prices. On a lighter note, you do get what you pay for. But you'd have to try to screw up a bagel sandwich

Freakin' delicious. The bagels are fab, the schmeres are creative and tasty. I probably ate here three times a week one summer... it's good eats.

I was in the area for a friend's wedding, and Bloomington Bagel Company was raved about by the IU alums in attendance. I ordered the recommended pretzel bagel with artichoke Gouda cream cheese. It was delicious! The bagel had the perfect amount of salt and the cream cheese was nice and garlicky. The service was fast and friendly. It's no match for my college favorite Bagel & Deli in Oxford, but it was pretty great!

Best bagel I've had in a long time! Fabulous selection and flavor! Pumpkin cream cheese was a delicious fall treat and the Lotsa Lox was fantastic. Hot chocolate was a but bland and lacked richness but the bagels made up for it. Can't wait to return!

Bagels are very average, but they have a nice selection of sandwich and spread options. Don't understand how people are giving this place 5 stars, they must have never been to New York. Just you basic bagel place in southern Indiana. Also they don't have american cheese which isn't a big deal but is just pretty random since no other restaurant does that. Not bad, not great, just a bagel.

The only decent bagel place in Bloomington. Not that that's saying anything amazing but they are fresh, locally made bagels. I'll be honest, I never tried anything but the bagels here but never heard amazing things about anything else. However, if you are in Btown and craving some carbs, there are far worse places you could stop in then Bloomington Bagel.
Carl G.

(4)Danielle G.
These are my all-time favorite bagels. I realized after eating here how many bagels taste more like a muffin than a bagel. These are yeasty, chewy, thick, delicious quality bagels at a good price.
(5)Christine C.
The bagel were nice but nothing really special, and the people are very far to be friendly...
(3)D G.
(3)Sidney B.
best bagels in Bton for sure. pretty quick service and a great variety on the menu. and the owner is involved with the university and town and quite supportive of a variety of progressive causes.
(5)Emily H.
(5)Hayley L.
One of my local favorites. Lots of variety in terms of the bagels, cream cheese, and toppings. 4 stars because I think it's a little pricier than it needs to be. I'm happy to support a local business, but it seems a little over the top to me.
(4)Arjun S.
This should be a must visit if u are visiting this small, cute college town: Bloomington
(5)Jennifer W.
Great bagels & cream cheeses. I recommend the pretzel and salt bagels with artichoke smoked gouda schmear. The brown sugar cinnamon and cucumber dill schmears are equally tasty. Consistently delicious and appropriately priced. Big fan of the iced coffee too.
(5)Laura F.
Can't say enough good things about this place. I worked at BBC in college and was lucky to become part of an amazing, open, accepting community of bagel-lovers and people who are passionate about making Bloomington a great place. Only makes it better that the food is amazing!
(5)Alan P.
Bloomington bagels makes some good bagels. Chewy inside and crunchy outside. Only downside is that its a bit pricey for bagels.
(4)Michael S.
They have Bialys that are out of this world.....and the coffee is good too.
(5)Iris T.

(5)A M.
(5)Letesha B.
(5)Regina W.
(4)Katie R.
(4)Nicole W.
(3)Allison R.
(5)David R.
(2)Jori G.
I really like you, a lot. I just wish your prices were more broke-college-kid-living-off-student-loans friendly and less Daddy-is-paying-for-my-education friendly.
(3)Lyndsey C.
Always delicious. I used to always get the Lox sandwich and my husband and I would split. Always fresh and delicious and great selection. Yum! Always packed during peak hours, though, so prepare.
(5)Dave K.
Good place to grab a quick breakfast if you're in Bloomington. I ordered a bagel and lox and it was received quick and the food was tasty. There's a little bit of an outdoor area and its in the heart of downtown Bloomington.
(3)Kyle D.
Great place for breakfast or lunch. Tons of unique ingredients and flavors
(4)Dea A.
(5)Kate S.
Gross.
(1)Theodora L.
(4)Taylor Z.
(5)Jessika G.
Most of the staff wears pajamas, which is kind of weird... but the bagels and other menu items are fantastic
(3)Christopher R.
Boil bagels on site. Great selection with many types of sandwiches. Great selection of smears and veggies. Strong excellent coffee. Also have cookies and muffins. Located around campus. Great for people watching.
(5)Jonny S.
(5)Katie B.
(3)Kate B.
Cheap. Delicious. Artichoke smoked gouda schmear. Enough said. BBC may be the real reason that I'm moving to Bloomington -- graduate school is just the better excuse.
(5)Shelly A.
(4)Bob Y.
Sausage Egg and Cheddar.... 'nuf said. My wife gets the roasted red pepper Parmesan spread on the 12 grain bagel and loves it. I don't ever make a trip to Bloomington and miss out on these tasty bagels!
(5)Tim W.
Amazing bagels, great service terrific catering options.
(4)Matt H.
(3)Steven T.
(2)Dan S.
(5)megan t.
(3)Jeff B.
Pretzel Bagel with Berry Spread, enough said
(4)Nina K.
OH. MY. For now.
(5)Christen A.
Delicious Bagels, great variety of flavors in both schmeres and bagels. The cookies and baked items are to die for as well. 4 stars for the lack in atmosphere inside the dining area. Still a great choice though.
(4)Vicki M.
Really great bagels. It's sad when a place in the midwest has way better bagels than anywhere in DC. Freshman year I used to go to the 3rd street location (not there anymore) and get a whole bag of bagels there were about to throw away! The bagel sandwiches are delicious and cheap!
(5)Angelica G.
(5)Catherine H.
(5)Josh R.
(4)Meghan L.
pretty good bagels. not the best i've had, not the worst. their every seed bagel gets 4 1/2 stars, 5 stars if you add egg, pepper jack cheese, and avocado (i LIVED on those things in undergrad.) only problem: i am really picky about having a perfect amount of salt and pepper on my eggs, and half the time they don't put any on...and they don't leave shakers out...so then you have to badger the workers while there's a long line and you feel like satan. and then sometimes the avocado isn't ripe, and that is a very heartbreaking thing indeed. overall: good for a quick lunch or snack in between classes.
(4)Mara S.
(5)Michael D.
(1)Bethany S.
(4)Lauren R.
(4)Willie T.
Sure this place has a '$' rating, but keep in mind that these are 20 cent bagels that we're talking about that are jacked up to ridiculous prices. On a lighter note, you do get what you pay for. But you'd have to try to screw up a bagel sandwich
(4)Krista R.
Freakin' delicious. The bagels are fab, the schmeres are creative and tasty. I probably ate here three times a week one summer... it's good eats.
(4)Alexandria T.
(5)Carrie R.
Best bagel I've had in a long time! Fabulous selection and flavor! Pumpkin cream cheese was a delicious fall treat and the Lotsa Lox was fantastic. Hot chocolate was a but bland and lacked richness but the bagels made up for it. Can't wait to return!
(4)Greg W.
(3)Steve W.
