MY wife and I have been to all the sushi places in town, and this is probably the best of them. Not all the rolls are great --- you have to come a few times to know what to get and what to avoid, but once you figure that out, there are some really tasty selections. The tuna crunch roll is probably the best specialty one available, and the spider and negi hamachi are great maki standbys. Be sure to go on Tuesday for 30% off all rolls --- hard to beat that deal.

I really liked Ami when I went there Friday for lunch. Pretty much everything you could ask for- miso soup, salad, and fantastic sushi. The only downside was the fact we were pretty much ignored for the first 20 minutes we were there.

I've tried this place three times, and it was progressively worse each time. Some of the highlights... - They served me a FROZEN avocado! - Most of the sushi was inedible. The ahi was like biting into cowhide and tasted very fishy. I had to spit it into my napkin - We ordered a roll that they light on fire. The server spilled some of the alcohol on the table before she lit it and ended up setting her hand on fire. I guess that should earn a pity point, but it was unsettling. - The only highlight of the bibimbap was the fried egg. The tofu was a failure in both taste and texture. It took me three trips to realize how bad this place really is. Save yourself the trouble and look for sushi elsewhere.

If you enjoy sushi with lost of cheap filler, imitation crab and cream cheese, you'll love Ami! Tuesday nights they offer 30% off most of their sushi selection. The majority of their rolls are originally over priced at $12 - $16 so you end up paying the same as you would at any other sushi place in town. To break it down, Ami just doesn't stand up to the other sushi establishments. The fish may be fresh but most of their rolls lack in flavor. They try so hard to cater to the american crowd with specialty rolls with IU names and creative shapes. Sorry, but I don't eat sushi that is made to look like a football. I won't be going back.

New to town I was lost as where to find good sushi..my buddy suggested this place and I love it..returned a week later for two more rolls.

I get the vegetarian sushi dish every time and it is delicious. Can't beat soup, salad, and three rolls for $10.

Great Sushi! Possibly only sushi around...but they don't take advantage of that fact and still give you good food. I love trying different sushis and I'm never disappointed.

I travel to Bloomington from Atlanta every other week and sometimes just crave some sushi! Domo is located near the hotel I stay in, and it was great for Sushi! Their Heart Attack roll is to die for :). I also liked their Spider roll! Great place to try out sushi.

Domo is a typical Japanese steakhouse. The food was good, and they get props for severing noodles along with the typical hibachi fried rice. However, they earned an extra star when the hibachi cook asked my friend Jake if he was "a little girl" when he said he was full after only eating half of his meal.

the first time I tried sushi, it was at Domo!! Amazing service, and excellent miso soup as well. The spider roll was the best i've ever had.

We went back recently on a Monday and could not resist visiting Domo/Ami again. This time we tried the Monday special, 50% off sashimi rice. We also wanted to try a different chef's special since Mountain was so good. It was bittersweet our second time around. The hamachi nigiri was again very tasty and the service was great, we had the same Japanese waiter again. The sashimi rice was also very good. It was well worth the $6 and is a great fresh and light meal. It is comprised of a bed of vegetables, carrot shreds, cubes of random sashimi, masago roe, and nori strips. It comes with a bowl of rice and a squeeze bottle of bibimbap sauce that you mix together. The lettuce comes already coated in a light sesame seed oil dressing that we really loved. Personally, we felt that the meal tasted better without the bibimbap sauce due to the strong flavor of the sauce. The Spicy Scallop Roll was a good beginners roll. There wasn't anything raw or "scary." K didn't really like it because it was very similar to a California Roll but J didn't mind.

I'm not a huge sushi fan, but I love hibachi of all kinds. The basics (steak, chicken, shrimp) are all great at Domo but also recommend the swordfish. Great portion size and it comes with salad, soup, noodles, veggies, rice. Not cheap really, but the price:food ratio is great. I eat at Domo at least every week or so. Those who like sushi love the place too.

Dea A.
The crunch roll is the best cooked roll on the menu -- but it is so big you can't eat it in one bite! The quality of the fish is definitely better than Sushi Bar and Japanee. I love the vegetable udon soup too. Great service, great selection.

Great service and great sushi. I will be going back and it is priced well.

When this restaurant was located on East 3rd there was no place better for sushi in Bloomington, however it expanded into a Steak (hibachi) and sushi restaurant and eventually closed it's original location (renamed Ami but now gone). Since its move, it has become error prone (Crazy Horse roll substituted for Whole Crazy Roll) and inconsistent in quality --particularly in the rolls (the same roll is never quite the same despite, over the past 4 orders). Overall the quality has declined but the price has increased.
(3)
Jamie M.
Not much on the menu in the way of vegetarian sushi. They are willing to work with you to make something. Fish eating friends have been disappointed in the quality of the fish. The tempura is pretty good.

There's really nothing to dislike here... except perhaps slow service on busy nights. The owners, sushi chefs and servers are all really friendly and accommodating, and the sushi is FANTASTIC. Personal favorites include: the Domo Roll, the (Spicy) Boston Roll and the Ebi Tempura... and definitely the gyoza appetizer. They usually have some pretty delicious special rolls, too. All in all, one of my favorite local restaurants.

Thomas R.
Weird and uncomfortable vibe between sushi chef and the kitchen - something was obviously not synchronized between them and my server made multiple apologies to me for the food taking so long. That's fine but at least have the common courtesy to comp me a miso soup or a salad while I wait for the overpriced a la carte sushi. Nothing.

If this place was on the east or west coast, I would give it 3 stars but since it's located in the Midwest and the food has to travel a distance, I'll be nicer. Ami can get very busy, especially on Tuesdays (30% off rolls!!!!) The sushi falls somewhere between mediocre and average but there are alot of interesting rolls that make up for the quality of sushi. Honestly, not that bad of a place food wise and they have a variety of Korean food that you can try out if you're not feeling sushi as well. Students and locals should definitely try this place out as it is the best sushi you're gonna be able to find in the Bloomington area.

The place is called Ami's now, FYI. We go here every other week for the Tuesday night half off special. The sushi isn't particularly original, but it's definitely worth it when ordering a bunch of special rolls. Highly recommended for sushi lovers looking for a great deal!

Love the Sushi rolls here. Sometimes they are tooo big to have, but this is one restaurant that I enjoy going to. Lots of options and fast service too

Very good Korean/Japanese food joint. I've only had the Bibimbap which was fairly good, cheap and quick (all the three requirements for college food). Plus since I went on a Tuesday, they gave me a discount. I haven't gone for sushi, though a lot of my friends go on the night they do specials. I would definitely like to go back and give the sushi a shot!

By far the best sushi restaurant in Bloomington.

Had a fruit fly in bowl, but the waitress said: I double check it was a sesame. It is ridiculous! In the end, there was no apology. They gave me 50% discount on my meal (not the whole dinner), so 60% discount on their service review

I've eaten at Restaurant Ami (previously Domo) seven or so times over the past six years -- and I've been impressed every time. Just had the sashimi over rice and greens last night. The chili sauce was AMAZING. In the past I've ordered various sushi and tempura; always been happy. Sake is also good. Prices are a little high compared to Sushi Bar -- but the food and service are superior in my opinion. It's also better than Japanee, because the restaurant is actually kept at a normal room temperature (Japanee = Antarctica).

While their food is generally okay tasting and not terrible, I always get sick here. I have been to literally every sushi place in Btown and never get sick anywhere else. The Mountain Roll is fairly tasty but the worst culprit. I also observed that the avocado was pretty brown in my rolls and the asparagus in my asparagus roll was stringy. I have eaten here several times and really want to like it, but it just doesn't do much for me. There are several *much* better places in Bloomington to go for sushi, like Japonee/Sake Bar or Sushi Bar.

I'll keep this review on the shorter side: Service: good, no complaints. Food: good, no complaints. Plentiful. Price: steeper than expected. I'd come back but I'm not sure I can afford to on any regular basis. I did get one of their meals which came with a ridiculous amount of food--but it's not the quick, inexpensive lunch option I'd hope for as a JSoM student. The interior setting is nice--I'd almost recommend it for a nice informal date. Not what I was suspecting, but pleasantly surprised. The only issue was the price point.

Best sushi in the world!!! You get a lot for your money too. The meso soup and salad are very good but the sushi is to die for. I highly recommend the crazy horse and the spicy scallop rolls. The service is always a little awkward and parking is terrible. Prices aren't bad at all considering how much you get. Hands down best sushi I have ever had.

Franklin D.
Free Miso & Salad, nice. Soup was hot, salad dressing a tad garlicky, but still quite good. Tempura appetizer came out fast, smokin hot, and was very good. I opted for the Katsu curry, rather than my usual favorite Katsu Don. Probably next time I will try out some Udon. To say I'm down for Korean food at the drop of a hat is not an understatement. It' made me happy to see some old Korean faves on the menu, which I will be back to try. Service was par for the area... non/poorly trained female college student.

Came with my daughter and had lunch. OK a lost star because service was slow. We ate outside because it was a nice day. The food however and the portions were great! Enjoyed the sushi ball and a specialty roll. They came with soup and salad so we were stuffed at the end! My daughter goes to IU and I know she is a frequent diner here. I can see why! you should go! Just note if you eat outside you may have to flag down a server. :)

One of my favorite places for Japanese food in town! Love their sushi as they are nearly the best in b-town, love the one called Super OMG, you should absolutely try that one. I also ordered seafood udon come with California roll for lunch.

The food has always been decent but way overpriced unless it's 30% off on Tuesday. After trying to call in an order for carry-out tonight, I was told they only do 30% for dine-in. I've done carry out on Tuesday nights before several times because it's the only time I can afford their overpriced rolls. When I called a second time to confirm that it was only for carry-out, chad or chett or whoever I spoke with on the phone called me a liar, saying they've never done carry out for 30% rolls when I've done this at least 3 times in the past year. I've worked in the food industry before and even if I didn't, I know you shouldn't call a customer a liar and be as rude as possible. Everyone has a bad night at least once working in food service, but this was unacceptable. Definitely not giving ami my business anymore.

A sushi restaurant without nigiri or sashimi on the menu (you have to ask a server specifically to get the sushi menu)? Only in the Midwest. Salad was overdressed, and they obviously didn't care much about the miso soup, but hey that's not too hard to imagine, especially for a food wasteland like Bloomington. I've gotten nigiri here once and tried their chiraishi. I can safely say that Ami, along with two other Bloomington "Japanese" restaurants are by far the worst three offenders in serving terrible quality fish. The problem with raw fish is that its so easy to tell when you're getting bargain bin fish that no respectable restaurant would sell. After trying their maguro and hamachi, I fully understood why they felt compelled to hide their sushi menu: It's simply not sushi quality fish. In fact, I'm fairly certain they use the same cut of fish for their rolls as they do in their nigiri. Its absolutely shameful and I can't understand the reasoning behind this, especially since they still charge around a standard rate on their sushi. Their maki and rolls are somewhat better, but only because they hide the crappy ingredients with excessive sauces and other garnishing. The thing about garnishing is that it should visually supplement the food, but never actually negatively affect the taste. Apparently that's something that Ami still needs to learn. Their Korean fare and non-fish related dishes are much better though, and are the only reason I'm willing to come back. As for pros, their wait staff and customer service are absolutely fantastic. They admit their mistakes, and are polite, courteous, and friendly. Really the saving grace of this restaurant. Edit: I gave Ami 2 stars originally, giving it some leeway since its in the middle of nowhere. When I went back home, I had an Ono+Maguro roll and semi-seared sake, sake, Albacore toro, unagi, tamago, bincho maguro, spanish mackerel as nigiri, raw tako as sashimi, and an oyster for $23pp, all of which were good quality and well prepared, served, and presented. Other than the tamago, about 70% of the meal was imported from various parts of Japan, 20% was imported from the Atlantic coast, leaving the tamago that was local. Of the 4 varieties of uni available, 3 were from Japan and one was local. So I don't really buy the argument that real sushi in California is cheaper and an incomparable quality due to having access to local fish egg, 60% of sea urchin. Ami and all these other faux Japanese restaurants in Bloomington are just drastically overcharging you. I'm fairly certain Indiana is closer to the Atlantic Coast than California is anyways.

Friendly workers, decent atmosphere, and reasonably priced food that is consistently good. What else could you want from a college town sushi place?? Miso soup is delicious and I LOVE their ginger salad dressing. I especially enjoy their Tuesdays-- 30% chef specials and maki rolls... I've never had a bad dish, but definitely try the Crunch and the Crazy Horse rolls!

Yum! Got the big party platter for two. Delicious! I haven't tried their fancier sushi, but based on the more traditional and simple sushi, I'm sure they would also be fantastic. Ample seating! And outdoor seating!

I decided to go here today for my second time since I saw that Yelp currently is giving them a higher rating than Red Chopsticks a few doors down--even though I have no idea why. Today was extremely cold (zero degrees and felt like -18) so I was hoping to warm up in here and get an early dinner. I would of liked to get some hot green tea, but opted not to since I found out you have to pay for it here while it is free at Red Chopsticks. Guess which business won in the green tea category? You guessed it...Red Chopsticks where it is complimentary with your meal. Like Red Chopsticks, they also have a Vegetarian Sushi menu here which is pretty cool. So a few bonus points for that. I ended up ordering the vegetable udon and an avocado roll. Both were just average...but no real complaints with either. Will continue to go to Red Chopsticks instead of here where the green tea is free.

Ordered: Crunchy Tuna Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, Dragon Roll, Rainbow Roll, Spicy Crazys Ambiance: Not your classy japanese decor with rosewood, bamboo, and minimalist black paint. It's a college-town restaurant with a casual atmosphere. Have to admit the fancy-ish wine rack on the wall seems a little out of place though. Service was fairly decent requiring only a little flagging down to get someone who the people were friendly enough. Food: Miso soup was fair, I like mine with less green onion and more seaweed/tofu. The salad had your standard carrot-ginger dressing which had separated in my bowl but tasted just fine once I tossed it in the bowl. By far the best and most recommended roll was the crunchy tuna roll which was essentially a spicy tuna roll with crab and tamago (egg omelet) topped with fried vermicelli and eel sauce. It was very savory combination although you do lose the spicy tuna a bit in all the other strong flavors. The spicy tuna roll, rainbow, and dragon roll were fairly routine, nothing to rave or complain about. The 'spicy crazys' is one of those [americanized] super-rolls you have to take 2 big bites to eat. It has crab, cucumber and avocado with multiple chunks of various fish in each bite. Though not authentic by any means, it was admittedly pretty good. It was fun to try to identify each piece of fish by taste and texture within each bite and the siracha-sauce never hurts. I must warn, however, the california roll in my friend's bento box was absolutely horrible with chewy seaweed, stale rice, and a overall spoiled flavor. I don't know why hers in particular were that way but the rest of the rolls were fine. Overall: I'd give this place 3.5 stars, it's not the most authentic place but the ingredients including fish and [imitation] crab were decent, not the freshest but far from the worst. All the standard rolls were standard but they had some that stood out such as the crunchy tuna roll and spicy crazys. Considering the area/state, I give Ami the better rating but I have certainly had better in other towns. I also didn't pay for the meal (yay in-laws) so I can't really comment on the value of this place.

I'm not a big sushi fan, but I still eat here for the delicious Katsu Don. It's a great place to go when some people in your party want sushi and others don't. The servers are always friendly, but they don't always seem to be especially knowledgeable about the menu. It's a great place, you should try it out!

This japanese/korean restaurant doesn't deserve to be the top sushi place in bloomington. I was in town for business, and crave for sushi, so I gave it a try. Ordered the dragon and crunch rolls, the meal came with miso soup and salad (very average). As soon as they took the bowls away, this waitress came and asked if I was ready for the check !?!!! I was not happy with the service and just replied-my food has not arrived. The rolls were drowned in the eel sauce, that's pretty much all I could taste. One of the roll they put so much rice and made it so big, no matter how I attempted to pick it up or eat it, it just fell apart instantly . The main ingredients for these rolls were cucumbers and avacado, they charged each $10.95 it was very disappointing

I haven't been here in a few years, but was in town the other day and thought I would stop in. The service was fast and friendly, plus they have a good selection. Rolls were 30% off which was a nice surprise. This would have been a 4 star review but they went way heavy on the rice. It was like an all you can eat sushi place where they wanted to fill you up fast. With that exception the rolls were well prepared and had a good portion of fish.

The best sushi in Bloomington! Prices are great for the amount of food you receive! The staff is very nice. Our go to for sushi in Bloomington

Good sushi is hard to come by and in Bloomington Ami has some of the best sushi and specialty rolls. Mountain roll is delicious. Have to update my review... Before I gave this place 5 stars but their service and furniture needs some TLC. Staff is borderline rude and the booths are all ripped. They wanted to seat me on some greasy cushion and I said its greasy and asked for another booth which was enough for the waiter to give me a look and not say a word thereafter. It's about the overall experience not just the food. The food is good but everything now is borderline sucky.

Just ate here for the first time and wasn't let down. I had the Salmon Avalanche and it was delicious! The prices on Tuesday are very fair and also the reason why you should come before the big dinner rush around 6. Enjoyed it!

Moderately priced, nice atmosphere, attentive and friendly service. What I ordered, omg-something, I found to be a little too sweet for my liking, and the portion on the small side. My girlfriend ordered a beef roll that was quite nice and a good size. I would return, but not purchase the OMG roll.

I call myself a "sushi connoisseur" and can tell you this is the worst sushi place in Bloomington. It's cheap and good for non-sushi eaters, but that's because they use a lot of imitation fish and way too much rice. The rolls are loaded with sauces and fillers to taste good.. If you don't want to taste fish and a true sushi palette. Leave this place for the amateurs.

Based on previous reviews, we were expecting a pretty nice meal. Unfortunately, our experience was not great. Starting out, the miso soup was not good. I cannot think of the overpowering flavor, but the soup was off. We tried a roll, and two different combination boxes. The California roll was OK. A little too much rice for my liking. The Shumai was not flavorful. The dipping sauce was good, however. The chicken teriyaki was excellent, although the ratio of mushrooms to chicken was about 10 to 1. The kalbi beef was inedible. There was a strong, unpleasant, flavor and odor associated with this dish. Garlic maybe. I do not believe the cooks tried this dish before serving it. At least I hope they didn't. Salad with the combinations was lettuce with a very weak dressing. Uninspired. Service was good, and prices were ok. The quality and flavors of too many items were lacking.

"Review for take-out and non sushi* I ordered a few items for takeout. They were fast and organized and not overpriced. I didn't order any sushi though given my last experience but the miso soup, edamame and tempure were good. I wish the tempura was a bit crispier but that could also just be the fact that I had it in a to-go container for 10 minutes. I will go back for the non-sushi to get my japanese fix. Maybe even a veggie roll to satisfy my seawood sushi craving!

I haven't had sushi this good since Japanee burnt down. The fish was fresh and flavorful (and I can't complain about this--WAY too large for one bite. A real champagne problem, indeed!) The closest thing I can come to as a drawback is how heavy handed the menu was, catering to the college crowd: OMG rolls, lots of extra spicy sauces, deep fried rolls. Even a football shaped thingy? Our only conversational competition was a couple of knuckleheads doing Sake Bombs. But for food THAT good? I would have shared the place with a daycare center. The service was excellent, the atmosphere classy and warm. Everything about the enterprise was exceptional. I highly recommend it.

We decided to try Ami tonight based on the high rating it has recieved. We were DEFINITELY not disappointed. We tried the yakitori which was absolutely delicious. I ordered the chef's special rolls the mountain and the 007. The mountain was literally to die for and the roll itself was HUGE. My husband ordered the curry with the fried pork cutlet which honestly lacked in flavor. If your trying this place I'd recommend ordering sushi. The service was excellent and the food made it to our table in no time. I will definitely frequent Ami for really awesome sushi!

After our terrible experience at Sushi Bar Tuesday, my friends and I still had a craving for sushi-- good sushi-- so we went to Ami's last night! There really is no comparison. The sushi is amazing on every level! The soup is much better, maybe a little salty, but the tofu was much better than what they put in the soup at Sushi Bar. And they make their own delicious ginger-based dressing for the salad. Plus, my hot tea was brought out hot, just as it should be. We split a couple of the chef's specialty rolls. I believe around the table we ordered the Mountain (a classic white fish tempura topped with crunchy crab meat, shrimp tempura served w/ a special sauce and a delicious potato crunch), the Lion King (smoked salmon and cream cheese with this amazing spicy sauce and the crunchy topping again), the Bond Girl, the "OMG" roll (spicy crab & avocado with whitefish, which they bring out flaming!), the Black Dragon (california with a whole unagi piece), and then some tempura for everyone. Amazing! All amazing! Thick pieces, with fresh fish, delicious sauces, and it was more than a feast! We were stuffed! Completely satisfied! The server was a girl that seems to always wait our tables, and she's always more than pleasant! We told her about our horrible time at the Sushi Bar and at the end, they brought us their desert, tempura ice cream... wow. Great ice-cream filled cake battered a fried with rainbow sprinkles and chocolate! Great food, great service, beautiful ambiance, and an overall unbeatable experience. Thanks so much to all the people at Ami's for providing a place to really enjoy this amazing japanese cuisine in Bloomington!

My husband and I spent a summer in Bloomington and this was our favorite spot to go! During the summer they have 30% off rollers which is always great! I usually get the crazy horse and my husband tends a different one every time. I would have given this place a 5 but I took a star away because I do think they tend to go a little heavy on the rice. But other then that I love the soup and the service.

If you like spicy tuna, try the Dragon Ball!! I've been to Ami several times and have always enjoyed myself. The service is consistently good, and the food is stellar. Today, thankfully, was no different. I decided to be adventurous and try the Dragon Ball, which looks like a manageable sized dish in the picture on the menu. This thing was HUGE! The spicy tuna in the middle could have been a bit spicier for my liking, but this dish was simply amazing. There was a sweet sauce drizzled over the wedges of the Dragon Ball and in the center was a nice little salad with a sriracha based dressing that more than compensated for the slight lack of spice in the tuna. At first I thought there might be too much rice, but it was just perfect. I will definitely order this again. I'd recommend it for someone who is hungry, but not so hungry as to order two different rolls. Trust me, I'm an eater and I couldn't finish this in addition to my other roll. I also ordered the Caterpillar roll which has cucumber and eel inside, with avocado and eel sauce outside. This was very good as well, but unfortunately paled in comparison to the Dragon Ball. Our server was a bit slow to get to our table, but once he greeted us he was very attentive. The pricing was what I expected for good sushi. I'll definitely be back

Great place, but they charge you extra for soups and salads fir carry out, when they are included if you eat in. Go figure.

I really love sushi and honestly it was disappointing. The black dragon roll in the pictures looked nothing like what I got. As for taste it's mediocre...the only thing that saved it was the eel sauce which you really can't mess that up. The rice to fish ratio is off, way too much rice for not nearly enough fish. Also the seaweed is so chewy! Bottom line if you want ok sushi for a lot of money this is the place to go. However if you're a real sushi lover this is NOT the place for you. We only came because it just happened to be a Tuesday and they have a special menu with sushi rolls for 30% off.

I've been here twice, unfortunately, and experienced both abysmal service and food both times. Knowing that this is the midwest and expecting fresh fish is really out of the question at this point, but does everything have to be covered in mayo and fried? I was too skeptical to attempt the nigiri and sashimi that was offered, so I stuck with the rolls. Suffice it to say I was sick after the first visit and couldn't finish my meal on the second. Will not be letting my roommates drag me back here again! (P.s even if it doesn't look busy, don't expect anyone to seat/greet you when walk in. First server was a sweet girl who seemed overwhelmed and exhausted, second visit we had a guy who just seemed too good to be working there and didn't really care that we are paying customers.)

Sushi in southern Indiana.... I was somewhat apprehensive about eating here. After living in San Diego for the past 5 years I've become accustomed to fresh sushi at every street corner. During our holiday visit my fiancee and I were craving it and decided to give this place a try. Everything that we tried was actually pretty good. The prices were somewhat higher than what we usually pay, but then the fish traveled a thousand more miles than what we usually eat. The service could have been better, but we also ate during their lunch rush. The next time we visit Indiana we will be sure to try this place again!

(2)Eddie W.
New to town I was lost as where to find good sushi..my buddy suggested this place and I love it..returned a week later for two more rolls.
(5)Aaron B.
I get the vegetarian sushi dish every time and it is delicious. Can't beat soup, salad, and three rolls for $10.
(5)Merry K.
Great Sushi! Possibly only sushi around...but they don't take advantage of that fact and still give you good food. I love trying different sushis and I'm never disappointed.
(4)Jason D.
great sushi!
(4)Aditya R.
I travel to Bloomington from Atlanta every other week and sometimes just crave some sushi! Domo is located near the hotel I stay in, and it was great for Sushi! Their Heart Attack roll is to die for :). I also liked their Spider roll! Great place to try out sushi.
(4)Bryan D.
Domo is a typical Japanese steakhouse. The food was good, and they get props for severing noodles along with the typical hibachi fried rice. However, they earned an extra star when the hibachi cook asked my friend Jake if he was "a little girl" when he said he was full after only eating half of his meal.
(4)Maggie M.
the first time I tried sushi, it was at Domo!!

(4)Jeff L.
(5)Dea A.
The crunch roll is the best cooked roll on the menu -- but it is so big you can't eat it in one bite! The quality of the fish is definitely better than Sushi Bar and Japanee. I love the vegetable udon soup too. Great service, great selection.
(4)Jordan M.
Great service and great sushi. I will be going back and it is priced well.
(4)Allisson S.
(3)Jamie M.
Not much on the menu in the way of vegetarian sushi. They are willing to work with you to make something. Fish eating friends have been disappointed in the quality of the fish. The tempura is pretty good.
(4)chelsea g.
(4)Thomas R.
Nothing.
(2)Steven R.
(4)Anthony N.
The place is called Ami's now, FYI. We go here every other week for the Tuesday night half off special. The sushi isn't particularly original, but it's definitely worth it when ordering a bunch of special rolls. Highly recommended for sushi lovers looking for a great deal!
(4)Rahul G.
Love the Sushi rolls here. Sometimes they are tooo big to have, but this is one restaurant that I enjoy going to. Lots of options and fast service too
(4)Charlton C.
(4)Michelle L.
By far the best sushi restaurant in Bloomington.
(5)Tianren W.
Had a fruit fly in bowl, but the waitress said: I double check it was a sesame. It is ridiculous! In the end, there was no apology. They gave me 50% discount on my meal (not the whole dinner), so 60% discount on their service review
(2)Becky R.
(5)Kelly H.
(2)Devin C.
(3)Kelsey S.
(5)Franklin D.
(4)Kathy L.
(4)Betsy L.
One of my favorite places for Japanese food in town! Love their sushi as they are nearly the best in b-town, love the one called Super OMG, you should absolutely try that one. I also ordered seafood udon come with California roll for lunch.
(4)Charcy L.
My favorite place for sushi, they usually have discount on sushi during weekdays! I love their mountain and caterpillar rolls, yummy!
(4)Fallon L.
(1)Stanley W.

(4)Robin K.
Yum! Got the big party platter for two. Delicious! I haven't tried their fancier sushi, but based on the more traditional and simple sushi, I'm sure they would also be fantastic. Ample seating! And outdoor seating!
(4)Regina W.

(4)J. M.
I'm not a big sushi fan, but I still eat here for the delicious Katsu Don. It's a great place to go when some people in your party want sushi and others don't. The servers are always friendly, but they don't always seem to be especially knowledgeable about the menu. It's a great place, you should try it out!
(4)Phoebe C.
(1)Katherine G.
(3)Jordann W.
The best sushi in Bloomington! Prices are great for the amount of food you receive! The staff is very nice. Our go to for sushi in Bloomington
(5)Mister M.
(2)Utley M.
Just ate here for the first time and wasn't let down. I had the Salmon Avalanche and it was delicious! The prices on Tuesday are very fair and also the reason why you should come before the big dinner rush around 6. Enjoyed it!
(4)Paul P.
(4)Lily B.
(1)Bob S.
(2)Dalia M.
(3)Erica R.
(5)Danielle B.
(4)William G.
(5)Michael A.
Fantastic find on campus. We had a combination of rolls and bento boxes.Fresh, well prepared, and comfortable. Really good all the way around. Definitely recommend!
(4)Rachel M.
(4)Shaun K.
I'll definitely be back
(4)Susanne S.
Great place, but they charge you extra for soups and salads fir carry out, when they are included if you eat in. Go figure.
(3)Fei Y.
(3)Haley T.
(2)Ned W.
