Being new to Indiana, I had no clue where to pick a good pizza. We chose Monicals and were surprised at how much it was. However, when the pizza arrived we knew immediately we got what we paid for! The delivery to our home was quick and efficient. The taste and quality of the pizza were second to know. The ingredients used appeared fresh, the spices and seasonings used created a dynamic taste experience. Without question I would have to say this was one of the best pizzas I have ever had. I would recommend it to anyone, and tell them not to let the price scare you because with Monicals you certainly get more than what you pay for!

Poor service and some of the worst pepperoni pizza I've ever tasted. It very closely resembled cheap frozen pizza.

I just moved to the area and was jonesing for some good pizza. I asked a local cashier where to find some and she told me Monicals was across the street. I ordered a 12 inch thin crust pizza and although the place was not too busy, it took 25 minutes for it to get to my table. (I did see a large carryout order go out in front of mine.) The pizza was, in a word, tasteless. I could get no sense of sauce, cheese or pepperoni. It was all just a globular cardboard mass. Maybe their other menu items are better, but I don't see me going back. Sad face, but I'll keep looking for good pizza.

I used to think Monical's was a 4 star place. I have to say though. Last time I ordered a thin crust pizza it was partially burned. I was somewhat disappointed because I've had superb pizza there in the past. I think they are capable of being an excellent pizza joint. Consistency is an issue here though at times. Usually the servers are good but sometimes the cashiers at the front take too long to acknowledge you when you are ready to pay your bill. I believe that Bazbeaux is the best pizza in Indianapolis area so I highly recommend that. As an alternative to Monical's I would also recommend Randelli's down the road. There food seems to be more consistent. It's not as good as Bazbeaux but you will know what you are getting every time. Monical's prices are somewhat high which does not necessarily deter me. I will pay more for consistently good food. But, to earn my business the food needs to be commensurate with what they charge. I will probably give them one more chance. I just wish Avon had a Bazbeaux or a Greek's pizzeria like in Fisher's.

The Yelp app said that this particular Monical's delivered to the Plainfield, IN area. When I called them they said they DO NOT deliver to the Holiday Inn Express at the I-465 and Rockville Rd. Exit. Funny, they're just down the road about a mile. I guess they must not cater to hotels.

Pizza is like barbecue or chili....everybody I'll tell you how great it is and then you actually try it and its very disappointing.... Well this pizza met and exceeded all my expectations! Would recommend this pizza to anyone and more importantly I won't hesitate to go back again. Mike - Dayton, Oh

I have some mixed feelings about this place. I will start off by saying that I haven't eaten inside the restaurant I've only requested delivery so I have no idea what the inside is like. The first time I called for delivery my order was for 2 pizzas and it was noon on a Wednesday and they said it would be an hour! I thought that time seemed pretty outrageous for the day and time considering this place is only a few miles from the house so we cancelled the order. The next time I ordered delivery it was a Saturday evening and I was quoted an hour and didn't think that was unreasonable but the person who took my order and delivered my food seemed to be annoyed that I was calling for an order and annoyed that they had to deliver it. This particular person's customer service skills were awful. However the spaghetti and meatballs were delicious! And it came with two soft baked breadsticks which were smothered in delicious garlic butter. I would give the food 5 stars. So my advice would be to order carry out. And make sure to get some breadsticks.

Good service- spacious dining area with a great 'back room' for parties/large groups (however- they're certainly not shy about putting groups together. I don't think you can reserve this room (or so I've heard)- and I've been in there for 2 get-togethers that ended up being 'crashed' by other customers joining in. It wasn't bad, but kind of awkward since the room is big, but not big enough to have 2 separate groups of decent size) The pizza is great and very reasonably priced. I went in last week and got an order of (5) breadsticks w/ cheese, medium drink, and an 8in pizza w/ 2 toppings for $10!

I really enjoy Monical's thin crust pizza. It's not the crunchy cracker thin crust, but just a thin doughy crust. I've only picked up pizza to go so I can't really review the dine-in service but the pizza to go service is good. And, I've only had the thin crust pizza & the bread sticks so I can't review the other styles of pizza or the salads or the wings, etc. The bread sticks are just sticks of........bread. Not the chewy pizza crust style bread sticks. Disappointing unless that's the style you like. But, the Italian Special thin crust pizza is what I crave from Monicals. It is covered with a flavorful red pizza sauce, tasty small crumbly sausage, onions, GREEN OLIVES, mushrooms and pepperoncinis. And, on top of this they add their own special seasoning blend that is very peppery. They say a large 16" pizza will feed 4-5 people but I think 3 people can pretty much polish it off. This is one of my favorite chain restaurant pizzas.

The worst take out experience ever. Tried using coupon ordering online was not able to use then went to pick up pizza and it was wrong. To top it off the owner was not wanting to be bothered at all. Then come to find out that they had another promotion going that would have been a better deal and they never even offered it. NOT HAPPY WITH MONICALS IN AVON AND WILL MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOW IT.

I'm a fan of Pizza King style pizza but I always wish it was just a little better. Monical's delivers on this minus the choo-choo trains and nostalgia. I can't think of anybody who does thin crust party style cut better in the area. While the topping selection lacks fancier options, the classic staples never disappoint. Interior decor is customary and average. The restroom cleanliness was acceptable. If it were just a little closer to my home I would likely eat here more often.

We tried a pepperoni pan pizza, thin crust BBQ chicken, and bread sticks. The pan pizza was dry and fairly tasteless. The thin crust was a cracker with no sauce. The breadsticks were freezer burnt on one side. The inside if the establishment looked fairly clean and pleasant.

I love Monicals deep dish pizza. Amazing taste, not too greasy as many pizza places serve. The breadsticks are yummy. The menu had many options, it's not just a pizza joint. Pasta, salads, sandwiches are also available. I have been disappointed twice with delivery. Forgetting part of my order. The lasagna didn't fill even half the container it was delivered in, so it had slid all over and separated during delivery. We won't be getting it delivered anymore, but I will still dine in.

Monical's is probably my favorite "non-Indiana chain" based pizza place. Really like their thin crispy crust (also re-heats well) and you just can't beat an occasional shredded iceburg lettuce salad. I'm no fan of iceburg, but there is just something about a Monical's salad...maybe it's the way their house dressing clings to it. I don't know, it's just a must. My favorite has always been straight up pepperoni with pepperoncinis, but recently I've discovered their BBQ Chicken pizza...it's my new go-to. If you are in the area (Avon) and feel like pizza, give it a try. They also deliver, which is another reason they receive so much love from me. I have also been to group events at Monical's. They do a great job keeping the pizza flowing.

I have to say, not being from a town with a Monical's, it did take a little while for the place to grow on me - and now it's a top place I take family and friends when they visit! I've tried a little of everything... Pizza: Mighty Meat on thin crust is my go-to. Awesome fun fact: you can get triple extra cheese! I normally only do twice extra cheese, hafta watch that figure. Dipped in ranch dressing. Yes, this is reserved for when I'm going to fat attack food. Eat the salad. Yes, it's simple (go for the chef if you want more fancy) but its freaking great! Also, I do get a bit more cheese. And the French and Ranch dressings are awesome! Oddly fantastic: cheese fries. I get the cheddar cheese (can you tell I like cheese?). Did NOT see this coming as being so awesome. No idea why it took me a couple visits to like the place, but I do now. If you have only been here once or twice, try something different, it'll grow on you; then you can't imagine going to another pizza place.

Great pizza. The thin crust is amazing and love the bread sticks and cheese. We always get the family meal which includes a fresh salad and great choices of dressings. Even when they are extremely busy you get great friendly, fast service.

Great pizza, breadsticks, pepperoni rolls, and garlic bread. Other food....not so good, specifically spaghetti and lasagna. Salads are bland with a lot of lettuce and minimal toppings in a little bowl, but you do get a whole bottle of dressing instead of a little cup. Service is sometimes slow but always friendly. Place is clean.

I am downgrading my review. We ordered this pizza on November 22nd and they just now this week charged my card? Who does that. At first glance I thought it was charging me twice but it was them actually just now charging me for a pizza I ordered over 3 weeks ago. While it is my responsibility to keep up with my bank account i would have been ticked off if it had over drafted my bank account because they waited 3+ weeks to run my card for a pizza.

This location used to be one of our family favorites until very recently. Our children love the pizza and breadsticks and we routinely ate there about once a week. This past week one of the servers struck my 4 yr old son on his bottom and made him cry. He was hit hard enough that it left a mark. I'm only leaving this review because the manager did nothing to remedy the situation other than change our server and when we called the corporate office they told us "there is nothing we can do." A report was filed with the Avon Police Dept. We won't be returning there anytime soon.

The pizza is really good. It's on a thinner crust, the sauce is flavorful, and there is just the right amount of cheese to hold stuff together but not overpower the other flavors. Toppings are evenly applied. Slices are square not triangular. There are also salads, sandwiches, a handful of appetizers, and I *think* they have GF options now because I recall reading something about "our celiac friends". There's this very odd server who works evenings. He's waited on us at least 2-3 times and says just the strangest things. However, he's very welcoming, quick, and has never screwed up our order. He keeps drinks refilled without you asking and offers to-go cups. His strangeness is somewhat off-putting as you can't tell if he's joking or serious or maybe just a little below average intelligence and not quite making sense. So anyhow, don't get scared away, that's just how the guy is...the pizza is worth it, and despite being kinda weird the guy gives really good, attentive service.

After two additional visits I've had a chance to try other menu items. My friend is true to the pizza for the thin, doughy crust, sauce and sausage. The chicken wings have a good flavor with a tiny bit of spice. The breadsticks are soft, doughy, slightly salted, hot and whether with spicy cheese or marinara sauce are delicious. We enjoy the option of ordering a single or family size order of breadsticks and salad. Ordering both in family size is a nice lunch for two. Breadsticks are quick for carry out snack if you just pop in as we have before. Call ahead or eat in, regardless you'll enjoy! The sports room is perfect for large birthday parties or bringing the team in for pizza after a game or practice. The service has always been good and we've enjoyed our individual orders each time.

Yuk. Breadsticks and service were good. Salad and pizza were awful. Salad was super dry lettuce that had seen better days. Pizza was undercooked and underwhelming. We added spinach as a topping with tomatoes and cheese pan. They literally put what appeared to be frozen spinach on it. Is that a thing? I've never seen that. I feel kinda bad about this review but we eat a lot of pizza and were not impressed.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
