Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

My fiance and I come here pretty regularly as we live right down the road. We've always had good experiences. The servers are nice, the food is good and it's served pretty quickly. There are better Mexican restaurants in Indy, but this is one of the better in Avon/Brownsburg area.

I'm not sure I've given many one star ratings, but when you are almost charged double and have to have your bill calculated 3 times before its correct? We have an issue. I had the shrimp chimi- and these were the smallest chimichangas I have had anywhere in Danville, Plainfield or Avon area. The shrimp is diced or minced and they were overcooked. The only thing great was conversation with wonderful friends. I doubt I go back.

Wife told me to give the restaurant four stars. I disagree but will not go with her rating. She loves the margaritas and fajitas. She is a big fan of the margaritas because they actually have alcohol in them. The menus are usually dirty with old food and the glasses smell like they are old and look dirty. It's not the best quality food and expensive for the poor food quality. The severs try but are not very outgoing.

Had a really good dining experience. Salsa is good, chips are fresh, and service was good but a little slow. We had chili verde - pork was tender and the sauce was one of the best I've had - and a steak chimi - full of meat and very good. Will definitely be back.

The food was atrocious the last time I was here. I had the fajitas, and the meats were extremely tough and unflavorful. Actually, let me rethink that. They were quite flavorful: full of bad flavors. I don't give many one star reviews, but just due to food quality alone, this restaurant is well deserving of it. Go to El Rodeo on Crawfordsville Road. It's the best Mexican restaurant in Indy.

We went here on a date. We sat out on the patio, which was lovely. We were served chips with a tasty salsa, immediately. Our server was okay, and the rest of the staff was okay as well. I ordered a margarita, which was huge and yummy. My husband ordered the Texas fajitas, which he really enjoyed. I ordered the Cozumel salad. It had shrimp, avocados, tomatoes, oranges and limes on a bed of iceberg lettuce. I ended up using the salsa for dressing, not sure what I was supposed to do. I did enjoy this salad, but it could have been much better. First off, most of the avocado slices had bad spots. It would have been better on a bed of mixed greens, and the tomatoes were plasticy.

I've been here a few times and it's really just OK for me. The most recent time I went was around Cinco de Mayo, and I'm not sure if that's why there was a line out the door. The hostess kept telling every single party that came in, no matter how large or small the group, "Five minutes". We waited about 20-30 min, which is fine but I would've expected a more realistic time estimate. The service has always been excellent - even when they were really busy our waitress has always refilled chips/drinks before we even had to ask. The food though is just average, compared to other Mexican restaurants in my opinion. I would come back, but I prefer El Rodeo which is just down the road.

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant on the west side of town. The staff is really friendly, the salsa is great, and the food is always great. The kids love it, too.

The food is going down hill . This place use to be the BEST Mexican food around, it's sad the quality is not like it use to be. I hope they will improve because the staff is very nice and it was a fun place to go. Like I said, I hope they improve.

Recently redecorated, Los Rancheros offers a fun and festive experience. Alberto, the owner, is usually on site at any time of the day and is always a pleasure to interact with. Challenge him to a bout of arm wrestling and you will be surprised this Amigo will give you a run for the border challenge. Located in Camby, IN and in a thriving strip center, you are sure to find what will satisfy your Mexican food crave. Diverse menu and Los Rancheros offers daily specials. You have to go on a Friday nite though to quench your thirst with a man-sized margarita that is on special. Los Rancheros is bound to satisfy with made to order entrees.

Must try the chorizo - OMG it is sooo yummy. Quesadilla a la diablo is great. Chile pablano is good but I like a firmer pepper. The salsa gets better each visit. Service continues to be top notch.

Meh...and that's being generous. It is never a good sign when food flies out of the kitchen. It was bland, the chorizo was oily and very mild, beans tasted like can. This was taco bell fair at restaurant proportion and price.

My prefered mexican restaurant in the Avon area. Consistantly good food and service. Their salsa and chips are particularly tasty, and its easy to eat too many and be near full before the main course arrives.

Came in with low expectations, walked out a regular. Service was prompt, courteous and professional. Food came out amazingly fast, even on a crowded Friday night dinner service.
(4)Troy M.
Unfortunately, I have to move my rating down to 3 stars. The quality of the food has really dropped off in the last 6 months or so. The service is no longer excellent, just good. So still a solid bet for decent Mexican-American food, but no longer stands out from the crowd. Which is sad.

Our favorite Mexican place.

Good Mexican with good people working there. Nice decor. Fun Margarita's with fruit with faces carved in with little sombreros. There's a bar right next door for after diner too.
