What was incredible experience from a surprising place! We were staying at the Comfort Inn and noticed that we could use our door key to get 10% off at the local Applebee's so that's how we decided to head that way for our last day in Auburn. We were immediately and warmly greeted, seated, and waited on at Applebee's. Our table was clean. We were delighted to be able to see the Olympics on three different flat-screen televisions. I had a hard time deciding what to eat because there were SO many menu options. M got a steak with shrimp for about $14. I got a quesadilla burger for about $9. We both got vegetable sides and enjoyed them the best out of all of our food. My quesadilla was SOOOO salty to the point of being inedible. I ate a quarter of it and M tried a bite of it too. Although she initially thought that her steak was salty, she agreed that mine was overbearing. We both agreed that we couldn't taste the meat. Our server came by and asked how our food was. M answered for the both of us and said it was "fine." A few minutes later, a manager noticed my plate pushed away from me and asked about it. We explained that it was too salty. She admitted that they've had some really salty steaks lately and that she will tell the cook to be easier on the seasoning. She offered to replace my meal for me, but I declined her offer. Next, she said that she would take the quesadilla burger off of our bill. We both said that wasn't necessary, but she did it anyway. In the end, we both ordered milk shakes (that we thought were far superior to those from Steak n Shake) and left feeling REALLY good about the amazing service experience. I really believe that Applebee's did what they could to give us an exceptional dining experience.

I am not an Applebee's fan but I eat here a lot. The food is always prepared very good and service is top notch. The manager of the place, Joel, I think that's his name, has always gone out of his way to make sure everything was done right.

Food was ok. But neither soap in the restroom really worked and the paper towels come out 6" at a time. My thought was how do the employees really wash their hands when the soap won't work??

For 3 of us ordered we were pretty happy with service and menu and the quality of food. I have tried cajan shrimp and steak with fried potatoes and veggies. It is great. You need to try this. My friend had chicken bourbon with shrimp. He was pretty happy too. I was surprised see all this menu. Our waitress was fun. The place was very busy which tells me people like this place. :) Friday night this place is in a fire!

I have to admit, I am not a huge fan of Applebees these days. Even after the chain-wide remodel, they typically leave something to be desired. However this location always shines! The location is spotless, the service is excellent - and I've never had a meal that did not exceed my expectations. If you are like me in your iffy opinion of this chain, are traveling down I-69 and are near Auburn, this location is worth a visit even if you aren't normally a fan of Applebees. The location is very handy from the Interstate as it is near the Walmart that you can't miss as you drive into town. I make a point of keeping this location in mind even though I live just a mile from a Fort Wayne location that I rarely visit.

please note that the location and addess are incorrect. this restaurant is actually located in the walmart parking lot next to steak n shake. i ate dinner here the other and was pleasantly surprised by applebee's menu. they offer the 2 for $20 deals but not are also carrying some southern dishes. i ordered a type of steak n shrimp over rice with red beans meal and it was good - definately hit the spot. also had a few $2.50 margarita's. ive been here on a few different week nights over the years and they always seem to have really good deals. the people at that site at the bar give me the feeling they are there to pick up whoever they can.....coworkers (male and female) and i have been eyed a few times from both males and females. could just be we are out of towners intruding on their hangout. either way nice place to grab a good meal.
