Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Oh man, do we love this place! Some of the best pizzas I've ever had anywhere, hands down. The ingredients are fresh and top notch, which means any combo should be great. For me the ravioli in vodka sauce is perfection. The guys that work there are so nice and efficient and Ben the owner is a fun, incredible chef. For dessert try one of the gelato balls, the white chocolate passion fruit is amazing. Our favorite pizza combos so far: -buffalo chicken, ricotta, buffalo sauce, red onion -pepperoni, jalapeño, basil, ricotta, red sauce *Slight caveat: original location is a cute but dumpy place.

Unfortunately... I am not sure how the food is here. I travel to Anderson quite a bit for business. Tried to call for delivery. First time someone picked up the phone... no one responded to repeated hello's. Called a second time... same thing. I guess they aren't interested in my business...

really good local pizza place. the place is little and kind of a dive but it is part of the charm. plenty of seating outside but a small amount of seating inside too. food is amazing. very good pizza. excellent calzone, and bruschetta that is AMAZING (get it and a salad, and you have a great meal!) The spaghetti and meatballs was bland and nothing special but not bad, just not great compared to the other food we got. the only reason I will give it a 4 star instead of 5 is because they have ONE restroom for men/women - yet choose to put a nude woman on the wall above the toilet. not great for my kids who had to see it. Thanks a lot Tommy. #not Go for the food, just go to the bathroom at your own risk. ;)

Awesome atmosphere and amazing pizza. Only place in the area to get goat cheese on a pizza.

Let's be honest - Anderson doesn't always have a lot going for it, EXCEPT restaurants a-plenty. Do yourself a favor and try this one out! When I lived in Anderson, this was my go-to place. Quick service, prices are a little higher than the chain pizza places, but the quality of the pizza matches the slightly higher price! And if you're a bruschetta fan - DO NOT hesitate to get it here!

Surprising gem in an Anderson neighborhood. Great pizzas and calzone. Our group of six enjoyed the small, friendly, quirky space. Nice outdoor dining.

The inside definitely doesn't leave much room for sitting, but it has a nice outside area. My friend and I split a 16 inch BBQ chicken pizza that we both are really enjoyed. not the best pizza I've ever had, but definitely really good and worth going to if you're in the area

Love this place, friendly service and great food. I had the spinach ravioli and it was delicious. I like that they have vegetarian options.

I work in Anderson and for some reason haven't tried this place yet. I went in on a Friday lunch. THEY HAVE GUMBALLHEAD AND ZOMBIE DUST ON TAP. Owner was extremely friendly and accommodating and I will definitely order delivery for my guys at work just from his friendly personality. Food- I got the 6 cheese ravioli with tomato creme sauce which I think is the Alfredo combined with marinara. It was awesomely sweet and TE past shells were cooked perfect. Great small outdoor area that opens up for summertime. Go here if you are in town.

A fun, quirky place with great food and nice craft beer selection. Everything was perfect. We were there for lunch on a Saturday and we were the only people there. The pizza and bruschetta were fantastic. Be sure to check the chalkboard for current craft beer selections (they sometimes have Gumball Head or Zombie Dust). The selections are limited but carefully chosen so you are sure to find something good. If you aren't sure, ask the guy behind the counter who is familiar with all the options and can help you choose based on your individual taste. It was too cold to sit outside when we visited, but the outside area looked like it would be a lot of fun on a nice evening.

The nice guy at our hotel (Noah @ Hampton Inn) recommended this place and we were really pleasantly surprised! Some of the best calzones I've had. They are filled with cheese and very fresh tasting veggies, and did not taste greasy at all! Bread sticks are also amazing. I spend a good amount of time at the beach and I really do wish there were more places like this around.

I just moved here from Indianapolis and read great reviews . Tonight we tried their pizza. The crust was burnt, toppings were not cooked and cold and the sauce was cold. I have no idea why they get great reviews. I will not be trying their pizza again.

I love their calzones and the rather large selection of ingredients they have for there pizzas and calzones. The atmosphere is exactly what I am looking for in a pizza joint and they have the best beer in all of Anderson.

Recommended by the front desk at my hotel and I was not disappointed! Make sure to visit! The owner is friendly and would love to share a beer/whiskey and chat! We went both nights in town!

Great local restaurant run by a great guy. The bruschetta is a our standby and the rest is just as fantasic. If you love great food and supporting local business, spend your money here!

I love the manicotti! It's a very small place so I've only gotten food to go but it's a great place to get lunch from. The baked ziti is good too.

Let me start by saying that Tommy J's is a true gem in the small town of Anderson, Indiana. My hubby and I are not big fans of paying for Italian food out unless it's truly unique and not just basic pasta dishes we could make at home. The guy who owns it seems to always be there and everyone who we've encountered working there is super friendly and helpful. They have great craft brews on tap, which makes it a little more unique and fun. Now let's move on to what is really important, the Food! Even if you didn't like the cute small atmosphere where you eat outdoors, or the people, or the location, the food is worth it all and more! The bruschetta was our first test and it passed, with more than flying colors. More like skyrocketing colors. All dough (for pizzas, breadsticks, calzones, etc) is made in house daily. And you can tell. Nothing frozen here. So, while you're enjoying the heck out of the bruschetta, try to remember there's more to come. Although, in all honesty, I could just order the appetizer myself and enjoy every bite without the interruption of a main course. We decided to try the calzones, as nowhere else in town seems to even offer that as an option. You can order one that is pre-set with ingredients off the menu, or like we did you can create your own. Oh. My. Goodness. They are so delicious, and so absolutely huge! You won't be able to finish it, I can barely eat a third in one sitting, especially if you had an appetizer first. But they reheat fantastically and better too much than too little, eh? We have yet to try the pizza, or anything besides the calzones and bruschetta honestly, but I am sure it's all amazing. Oh, did I forget to mention that all of the herbs, including Rosemary and Basil are all grown on the deck? It's THAT fresh. Do yourself a favor and don't miss out on Tommy J's anymore. It's even worth a drive if you don't live in town.

Great neighborhood restaurant. Try the bruschetta!

I had driven past this place many times without stopping. Friday night some friends and I stopped here for some drinks (Kentucky Bourbon Ale) and some food. The food here is amazing. This has to be one of the best places in Anderson to eat. When you are sitting outside, watching traffic go by, and enjoying the excellent food, it is like you are not in Anderson, but at some outdoor cafe in Broadripple. The guys who run the place are friendly. Food arrives quickly. I had some of their pizza and an order of baked ziti with sausage. I am not exaggerating when I tell you this is some of the best food in town. It easily stacks up independent restaurants in Indy and surpasses the chain restaurants. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Anderson is a tiny little city without too much in the way of good, non-chain food, so finding a pizza place this fantastic only blocks from my house is unbelievable. The pizza is New-York-style, with fresh delicious toppings (the basil is grown on-premises). I haven't actually tried the sandwiches--I can never tear myself away from the pizza--but the other half loves them and the pasta Alfredo. My only quibble is that the delivery guy needs to stop calling the female customers stupid names (honey, sweetie, etc.), especially when they're old enough to be his mother.
