Me and my girlfriend like to find family own restaurants and try them out and I fell in love with this place. I got the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and it was the best buffalo chicken sandwich I've ever had. I actually ended up getting two it was so good. The staff was very friendly and the bar had a pretty good atmosphere. Much older crowd, but that didn't bother us.

The pan fried chicken is really good. However they don't have it on Sundays. This is typical American food. Steaks, pork chops, sandwiches. The food is solid and the beer is cheap. The ambience is authentic and the bartenders/waitresses are nice. The only downsides are that it has no windows and can get a bit musty inside.

Food at Pete's is the best. This place has the best pork chops, chicken and anything else on the menu. As a corner bar this place could stop selling booze and still make it big just selling food. The bar is nice for the locals and the food brings in the people from all over the place. Good service also.

A buddy and I stopped in on the way to play golf in Albany and had a very strange visit. It was during an off time (3ish) that we got there and they were still recovering from what they called a busy lunch. The only people there were the bartender/waitress, the cook, my friend, myself, and two local drunks. The two day drinkers were wasted and saying crazy stuff to us and the employees and it got really weird. The 3 TVs in the place were all on Rachel Wray's daytime talk-show and no music playing. We had to pester our bartender for menus and the cook seemed pissed that she had to make our food and it got really awkward. I've been here twice before and enjoyed the place because of the dive bar feeling, good bar food, and affordable drinks, but this visit it was just way too divey. They need more help and less scumbags creeping out customers.

Sometimes some of the best food is to be found in small, out of the way places. Pete's Duck Inn and Albany Indiana, fits this description. Years ago, this was primarily a bar that served a little bit of bar food. Today, under the ownership of Phil Peterson, it's a restaurant and catering business that also happens to have a full bar. And the food? Excellent! I've had the occasion to experience both the restaurant and catering portions of "Pete's". Both are excellent and come at a very affordable bill at the end. The restaurant has a "good ole boy" feel to it and it should, Pete's a good ole boy who knows how to cook. His fried chicken is outstanding and his tenderloin sandwich is about as good as you'll find anywhere. If you're traveling the back roads of east central Indiana (ie; lost) it's worth a drive to tiny Albany to get a great down home meal.

Great bar food....I had the buffalo burger was very good although I did not get specify how I wanted it cooked. The breaded tenderloin is good an I am told stuffed mushrooms are a must

You looking for some great tasting food, Pete's has it. He can cater teh best BBQ, cook some great steaks (the ones I had were donated by Minars IGA, Thanks Mike), wonderful chicken, and tenderloins are always a great choice. First place I ever had Polish Mistakes and MAN were they good. Give it a try. I can't wait until the smoking ban goes into place and then I can actuall not have to do take out all the time! 5 stars.
